Trident Coffee is so unique. You step into their cool loading dock space and step on up to the counter. Basically Trident has about 10 or more cold brews. Some are bold, mild, flavored... they even have decaf. All are sugar free and brewed with natural ingredients. But here's what makes it so unique. You choose either hot or cold and if you choose cold, there's no ice! It's already super-chilled and perfect. I got the amazing Pumpkin Pie cold brew. My favorite and I wish they had it all year! Given the IB location you could definitely bring your bike, grab some coffee, go for a nice ride, then grab a beer and lunch at the brewery next door. Easily make a day out of it. When I'm at Trident I also pick up a can or two to enjoy at home. The community is lucky to have a place like this available to them. read more

This was a fun place to check out while we were in town! I can't believe it but I forgot to show my Yelp discount when I went to pay, even when I had it ready! It was my fault however when I mentioned it to the cashier she seemed very unaware of the Yelp 20% off check in. Either way the cold brew was interesting and something different. It would have been nice to have a bigger selection of pastries other than just the keto donut which was all I could see. I enjoyed my cold brew and the lemon poppy keto donut said was not bad. We stumbled on this jewel while riding outer bikes on the Imperial Beach\Strand bike trails. I had the best flat white I've ever had. They have a excellent coffee and they are careful about the origin, wanting to make sure workers are treated fairly. I heard one of the managers talking about getting ready for a buying trip to Central America. We purchased a couple of their canned coffee for the road, and you can also order on- line. This is a cool spot. They specialize in nitro cold brewed coffees and roasted coffee beans to take home. I wanted a cappuccino but they do not make espressos, but they will warm up coffees they have available if you want it hot. I had a light roast, the Link in the Chain (Organic Ethiopia Yirgacheffe), which was light in the coffee flavor but offered subtle hints of chocolate and fruit. They don't steam milk so you have to use the little packages of half and half. You can enjoy some nitro cold brewed coffee on the spot or you can purchase canned varieties to enjoy at home. They offer Wi-Fi and some good seating inside. If you like cold brewed coffees, this place is worth checking out. read more

The cold brew was not in my liking. I was too diluted. It tasted like tamarind and it barely had lavender Flavor

It is a good coffee shop for a certain demographic of people. If I were on a diet or I was big on clean eating this would be my go to spot. They have so many options for cold brew on tap so I would definitely recommend going for a cold brew rather than an espresso based drink. If you are more into the actually flavor of coffee and not a sweet latte this is a must try. They also have multiple types of canned cold brew. The majority and if not all of their food options fall under some sort of clean or healthy category. Many are keto, high in protein, low carb, etc.. so if you are on a fitness journey or have dietary restrictions this would be a good place to go in general though personally not a huge fan which is why I docked a star. The imperial beach location had so much seating in comparison to the location in Coronado. Definitely place someone could study or get some work done. read more

Couldn't be a better location to stop and have a coffee after cycling around the Silver Strand or the Bayshore Bikeway. I was slightly skeptical when I saw they only offer cold brew, but after a few sips, it all disappeared. They have a cornucopia of cold brew concoctions, medium, dark and even special flavors, and you can even have them hot!(hot cold brew, not oxymoronic the in the least!). The customer experience is also friendly and fantastic, and they are veteran run! If you come on a Saturday, be prepared for it to be overrun with cyclists,but you'll get a first hand view of all the colorful kits as you sip your brew...I'll definitely be back next time I'm cycling through! read more

Love! Found this gem through a Yelp Elite event and dang, how have I not been here before? The service is incredible- so friendly and patient when explaining the menu. We ended up getting a Lavender Latte with collagen. So good! I love that they have so many add-in options, such as: MCT oil, Collagen, Adaptogen Mushroom, and functional ingredients. Omgomgomgomg!!!! I'm learning to do long distance outdoor cycling and so friend said this is their break spot along the strand. Ok, can we please just worship how *insanely* decadent and delicious the keto donuts are!?! I was expecting something dry, chalky and bland but these donuts makes me to neverrrr ever want to eat normal donuts ever!! Glad we were able to go try out the coffee here! It was well decorated, really nice ambiance - loved all the nautical theme, and the nautical coffee names! We had two choices - latte or espresso - and they had multiple choices for which milk to use. I do feel the flavor got lost in a bit of the bitterness of the coffee, and it didn't hit home like some do. The staff was kind and friendly!
