Friendly staff and amazing tasty food. I had a cold and even then I was still able to smell and taste the flavor! I can't imagine how much delectable it would be if I wasn't sick! Pay as you can afford place, I think this is the first place of its kind I've ever been to; it's neat to come here and realize this place would thrive on trust that people would pay however they see fit. The food is worth every whatever you can afford penny! Cozy and quaint places this place is clean and has cute interiors decorations. The chef was very warm and friendly too!

#vegan Overall great placed, few reasons for a mixed review. I love the concept -pay what you want. Plus it is vegan, woo! I have had a few things Ive enjoyed, few I havent ... they did a breaded fried veggie dish - SO GOOD!!! I'd say to order ahead because sometimes there can be await. Again overall good food. Great people. The first time I went I got a burger, drink and a dessert so I paid a good amount. Unfortunately the size of the items was very tiny so I felt a little jipped. I know I will have probably helped to pay for another persons meal but I just feel anxious now because I want to be fair but also not pay 10$ for an item the size of my thumb. So it is a little tricky. It is close to work so I will continue to try new items. Also... check their open schedule!

    Cheesecake. A perfect portion.

OMG. I just love it here. Love. Tricklebee is a pay what you can cafe. There is soulful, soft music playing. Fresh, lively plants throughout. Window curtains. A Black Lives Matter sign on the wall. Also, I'm coming back to purchase holiday gifts. They have bags of coffee, fresh, local honey, handmade jewelry, locally made cookbooks and wonderfully astute children's books. Everytime that I eat here I " yumm" out loud before I realize that I'm doing it. The menu is unique every day and the menu utilizes local produce and organic products. Have you ever wanted to tip the chef? I did today at Tricklebee. The entire cafe is vegetarian and there are many vegan options There is hot coffee and hot tea to drink. This weekend, I had tea from Alice's Garden. It was so good and so comforting. Have you been to Alice's Garden? It's one of my favorite places.

I don't drink so I can't speak to cocktails but they are a big draw as well. It had been awhile since I had stopped in, for some reason. I wanted some pancakes so I got the Crafthouse Stack with berries. They came with bourbon honey butter and maple syrup. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the berries. Raspberries in particular can be hit and miss. These were all perfectly sweet and ripe. I had some solid coffee also. The location is a little inconspicuous but inside there are high ceilings and modern but welcoming decor. Don't miss it.

The food looked fantastic, and, honestly, the cocktails and beers we had were already worthy of a few stars. I'm hoping my next visit lives up to how good everything looked.

Most of those spots only open for dinner, so I was thrilled to find that Bavette La Boucherie now serves lunch. My friend, a local, told me the restaurant originally began as a butcher shop. While that's no longer the case, the space still pays tribute to its roots -- shelves lined with kitchen knick-knacks, butcher-block counters, and a display of local provisions that hint at its past. Chef-owner Karen Bell leads the way here, and you can feel her touch throughout -- from the creative menu to the casual-elegant vibe. The décor blends exposed brick and warm wood with soft light and a friendly hum from the open kitchen. Our server, Matthew R., had only been with Bavette a couple of weeks, but his background in restaurant management showed. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and offered great suggestions. Before our sandwiches arrived, we shared a cup of pork and tomatillo pozole topped with cabbage slaw and a dollop of sour cream. It was piping hot, bright, and deeply flavorful -- the kind of starter that makes you stop talking for a minute just to enjoy the next spoonful. Having read rave reviews of the Korean steak au jus, I nearly ordered it, but Matthew suggested the roast-beef with cheddar since I'm not a big lunch eater. Excellent call. The sandwich was divine -- tender, flavorful beef layered with melted cheddar on a crisp, perfectly toasted roll. The beef-fat fries had great depth of flavor, though I'd love them even more if they were twice-cooked for that extra crunch. Being more of a gin or vodka drinker, I couldn't resist the Gin Old Fashioned on the cocktail list. It was delicious -- smooth, aromatic, and balanced enough that I happily ordered a second. Great food, warm service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Bavette La Boucherie is a gem I can't wait to revisit.

The only crime here is that this place isn't a chain and it's miles away from me. Our waitress was amazing, the vibes were perfect, everything felt intentional in the best way. I am still thinking about them and genuinely wish I could figure out how to recreate them at home. TikTok actually delivered on this one. Very happy we ended up going.

There are tables and chairs, but it's tight and when it got busy with people coming to pick up their lunch, would feel weird sitting down to eat. As it was, we just waited to pick up our food, like everyone else. Didn't see a single person actually eating inside, though we saw a LOT of people coming to pick up lunch. Previous review stands (3/25/2022) This is another happy review. I'm happy to report that the burgers have improved significantly since my last review 4 years ago. Korean BBQThey toned down on the shredded cabbage and the sauce in the korean bbq burger. Everything balanced out much better than what I remember, and I could actually taste the kimchi inside this time. The meat was cooked to a nice medium, and travelled well in our to-go order. Soft Shell CrabThey put two whole deep fried soft shell crabs in one burger. Topped off with a lot of arugula, bacon and tomatoes. It was good, but not quite as balanced out as the Korean BBQ burger. I'm not quite sure what it is... Lacking some sauce?Overall, the place had some great burgers and I would definitely go back more often that I have recently. But there's a little bit missing still to give it a whopping 5 star review. Plus the buns were really bready... a little less dough would have been nice. And on the downside... the fries weren't awesome. They were ok. But felt more like baked fries than deep fried. In any case, I love improvements and having great joints in my neighborhood. Thank you Crave Cafe!

Right off the bat, one of the things that stood out to me was how incredibly affordable this place was! Most restaurants charge way more than that and don't include fries, so this place is an amazing bargain! We got their cheese balls, which were cheese curds. These were not bad. I do prefer a more beer battered curd, but I didn't mind these. I also got a bacon cheeseburger called The Loser. In reality, it tastes like a winner. The bread bun is amazing, so soft and fresh.
