Nice event. We arrived just as they were opening causing the wait time to be over 30 minutes. The pizza was amazing. Those flavors blended so well. We also tried two burgers. Not for us, but they were not bad. We asked for the food to go as the wait time was so long and also asked for the burgers to be cut in half. There is a small bar area for dining inside and a bit more for dining outside. The ambiance is pretty chill as well.

    SUPERBAD burger

My new favorite burger place. It's almost hard to believe these burgers are plant based and vegan. They have so much flavor and are so juicy. I'm so glad they opened a place in West Allis since I would usually just order when they had the food trailer out. I had the Superbad burger and it totally lived up to its description, Grilled Onions, Jalapeños, Chipotle Ranch,Plant Based Patty, Pepper Jack Cheese. Yum! The new place doesn't have a ton of seating inside but once it gets warm they have a big patio. The staff is super friendly and the service is quick.

Came here randomly one night from catching up with my friend. We wanted to try their desserts after dinner. She ordered their dirt cake shake and enjoyed it, but it wasn't her favorite. I ordered their ice cream, the cookies and cream version. They didn't really have options for toppings to add like caramel or hot fudge, it was a different type of syrup, so not much flexibility there. The menu is pretty much premade how it comes, but the names were fun. The ice cream looked good, but the flavor was unexpected. It tasted a little chalky, frozen, not as creamy or rich as regular ice cream. It had an aftertaste that reminded me of protein powder. This is probably due to it being vegan. Overall okay experience for us.

    Friday Burger

We went here because we had a coupon for free cauliflower bites. Service was friendly and it probably took 20 minutes to get our food, but it was fresh and made to order. My boyfriend and I got the Friday burger and up in smoke burger. I will say neither of us are vegetarians, so the burgers did taste different from a meat burger(which was expected). They were good and had lots of flavor but definitely different. The cauliflower bites were AMAZING! I would go back for those! I also thoroughly enjoyed their ranch! Couldn't get enough of it.

See the two pcs of v chicken tenders

This was my first time at this location. I really wanted the vegan chicken sandwich, which they were out of. Employee said they could do 3 chicken tenders in place of a patty, agreed, but they only did two w a big gap in the center. I also got a vegan shake w almond milk base, but it's literally just almond milk & the flavoring of your "shake" choice, liquid 100%. There was a family in there with two toddlers before I arrived, the order took 30mins to make and the kids screamed the entire time in the small space make my eyes twitch. The employees ordered a pepperoni pizza which was odd given the "vegan" nuance of business. I should've just gone to Culver's for a veggie burger meal with fries for half the price and double the food. I ended up going afterwards to get fries. Won't be back. 2 chicken tenders on a bun & strawberry flavored almond milk isn't worth $29

Some of the worst wine available and cheaper by the bottle than for a glass. Nope. Service was quick and often attentive, but we were not asked how things were. I may have told them the food was cold. Server never said her name and was a bit quiet. It was hard to engage her at times. Fish salad was good. Mixed greens. Decent dressing. Fish was a smidge dry. Fish tacos were good per my friend. Pad Thai was okay. Weeping Tiger was a bit cold and the ribeye was tough, fatty and overcooked. I ordered medium but it was medium well at the least. And I was only given a butter knife. Could barely cut it. I sense it was flank steak rather than an actual ribeye based on the texture and grain of the meat. The sauce that came with it was great. Rice was a bit cold. The tres leches cake was very good. Tiramisu was so so but I'm not a fan in general. Decor is nice. But plastic water cups and cafeteria flatware wrapped in paper napkins felt too casual at dinner. Guess it keeps the price point down. It feels like they could make a few minor changes and bring in a crowd. Maybe flameless candles and bud vases with flowers on the tables. A nicer wine list (the beer list is pretty long!) and some more dinner items would be nice. Many items are more like lunch choices than dinner. We would try it again but would change our orders according to the experience we had. Maybe I'd stick to a sandwich or pasta.

The waitstaff will walk you through how that works your first time. We started with some of the taste & share plates - showing off WI cheese to the out of towners - and then a few people shared some gnocchi and beef tartare while a couple people got burgers. We had maybe 4 bites leftover, and no room for dessert, it was a personal victory. I'm sad I didn't get photos because I love the feel of each unique area that's here. The restaurant is bigger than you think because it's subdivided into smaller rooms. We had a group of 7 for a work event (which meant I kept my phone put away) and were in a cozy little nook in the back by ourselves, I'd never even noticed this little spot. What a fantastic time we had!

At that time we were easily seated in the main dining area, but there were quite a few full tables already seated. Our service was excellent and friendly, thanks to Elly. The main dining room is not large. It remains fairly cozy and seating spills over to high top tables in the liquor store area, but no one was seated there during our visit. We started with the twin mushroom handpies - Local Mushroom Duxelles, Shredded Saxony and Montamoré, Sherry Syrup, Thyme Almond Gremolata. They took a long time to come out from the kitchen, which was understandable since they were baked in house, but they were still a little raw on top. Nonetheless, they were the best bite I had all evening. I had the Root Vegetable Agnolotti - Black Garlic Pasta, Sweet Potato And Ricotta, Celery Root Soubise, Toasted pine Nuts, Crispy Parsnip and Sage, Basil Oil. It was interesting and I enjoyed trying it, but I wasn't blown away. The sauce was thick and the filling was similar in texture and the overall effect was kind of muddy and smushy. It was helped by all the toppings, but this wasn't a home run. BF had the Tuesday burger special, in this case a Bacon Barbecue - Prime beef, coffee BBQ, crispy onion strings. He enjoyed it quite a bit and said the barbecue sauce was not too overwhelming. It was a big burger and quite filling. I had a Manhattan and a glass of wine - both of which were very good. They offer up a celebration dessert - an unbaked cheesecake slice with chocolate sauce and cherries. It was a nice light bite to end the dinner and we enjoyed it. I will say that I find their pricing to be somewhat aggressive. Several of their appetizers, sharables and sides are priced like main dishes and their main dishes are priced as if this were a high-end steak house instead of a more casual eatery. My pasta was fairly good, but more than a steak at comparable restaurants at $33. It was not THAT good.

Their website has a popup on the home page saying it comes with fried haddock, potato pancakes, applesauce, and rye bread, but the popup doesn't list the price and it isn't available through the online ordering function. I ended up calling in an order to go, substituting wheat bread for the rye, and also added a piece of lemon ginger coffee cake. The lemon ginger coffee cake tasted fine, but man was it dry. Like Sahara Desert dry. Maybe this was an anomaly and their other baked goods are better, but I'd be hesitant to try them based on this coffee cake. Even though the website says the side is potato pancakes with applesauce, my fish fry came with fries. They ended up being the best part of the meal, which I certainly wasn't expecting. Still, I was disappointed cause I prefer potato pancakes and was given their inclusion as an expectation. The wheat bread itself was ok, but the butter was oddly unsalted. The fish, of which there was three pieces, was battered with a hint of beer, but like the butter for the bread there was no salt to speak of in the batter. As much as I didn't enjoy the unsalted butter for the bread, not having salt in the batter for the fish managed to be more unpleasant. Maybe Blue's Egg should just stick with serving breakfast items instead of adding something temporary that they clearly aren't pros at.
