    Vegan tuna sandwich
    Marissa P.

Before the Yelp Elite week with Delicious Bites, I had never heard of this business. If you're vegan or enjoy vegan treats, it's a must-try. I got the vegan tuna sandwich and it did not disappoint. The vegan tuna was creamy and delicious. I could barely tell it wasn't fish because it was prepared the same as a classic tuna salad. The sandwich was premade, so service was fast and picking up food was easy. It is a cute neighborhood spot to grab lunch on your next work break.

I was first introduced to this shop as part of a Yelp Elite event and wow am I glad for that event! During that event, I got to talking with Corey, who runs the shop with his wife, Tomira. At the time, I was looking for a bakery that could make a pistachio cake to surprise my husband for our one year wedding anniversary as that was the flavor of cake we had at our wedding. I asked Corey if they make pistachio cakes/cupcakes and he informed me that while they don't have something like that on their permanent menu, if I reached out to his wife, she could certainly make it! I got in touch with Tomira via email and it was very smooth. She was quick to respond and get me a quote. She asked how I wanted the cake decorated and sent me the invoice, which was very reasonable and very easy to pay online. They aren't open on Sundays, but the Sunday I needed the cake, they were hosting a block party so pickup was very easy to arrange as well. Both Corey and Tomira were very professional throughout the entire time I was communicating with them. Now, onto the cake: it was perfect. The cake was decorated exactly how I wanted. It tasted amazing as well. It's been over a year since we tasted our actual wedding cake, so I may just not be remembering it well, but I would even dare to say that the cake we got from here for our anniversary may have even been better! It was the best way to cap off our first anniversary and we couldn't have done it without this dynamic husband-wife duo!

Stopped by delicious bites for a quick bite and a coffee. It's a friendly, gentle spot in east tosa. I met Corey the owner who was very kind and informative during our interaction. Most of the drinks are locally made, and the food items are all made in house. There isn't much seating, just a few spots around the exterior. Definitely a "grab and go" spot and worth a visit!

Whether cooking Delicious Bites or creating foodtastic experiences, Tomira does everything with love. Her attention to detail and desire to meet my needs and those of my guests for a Sunday Brunch allowed Tomira to create a welcoming and warm ambiance that was comfortable for approximately 20 guests. The food met all dietary needs and requests AND was good for the soul. From eggs, bacon, and waffles to shrimp and grits, shrimp etouffee, and grilled fish, to the fruit platter, the mouthwatering pineapple lemonade, and the surprise showstopper - the Pecan Praline Syrup everything left all of us fully satisfied and trying to figure out when we were coming back for more! Thank You, Tomira, for your professionalism and passion!!! I will continue to support and recommend Delicious Bites!!!

Delicious Bites is one of our go-to local businesses when we want to have lunch here at The Bronzeville Collective! Food is always fresh, the family ran atmosphere is full of love, and the sweets are divine. We are a fan of the candied and caramel apple slices. You won't be disappointed!

The two appetizers were surprisingly filling! The crab puff pastry had a great flavor, especially with the sauce, but it could have had a stronger crab flavor/larger crab pieces. The puff pastry was crispy and yummy, and it was nice it came with a side salad! The escargots were piping hot. The snails were small, but there were two pieces in each hole. The sauce was nice and buttery. The puff pastry was crispy and buttery. Overall enjoyed the dinner here. The waitstaff were nice, and the service was quick. The ambiance was cute.

I chose the brunch sandwich which comes on a homemade rosemary biscuit and it was fantastic! My mom said her tuna salad sandwich was the BEST SHE'S EVER HAD!!! Food: They have a large selection of breakfast pastries, including scones, cinnamon rolls, hand pies, and more. There are also some savory items, such as a rosemary biscuit. It was a tough choice, but when in doubt, I go for a scone, and they had a Maple Cinnamon one. I had it warmed up a bit, and it was delicious. These scones are not muffins in disguise, which means the texture is a bit drier and more crumbly--perfect alongside a hot beverage. For my drink, I ordered a London Fog Tea Latte. I was hoping to have it served in an actual ceramic mug, but those are only offered to customers who order drip coffee. That said, they made a very good London Fog, with a little extra lavender and plenty of foam. For my taste, it could have been a bit hotter. Service: Everyone who helped us was kind and helpful and gave us plenty of time to choose the perfect pastries. When ordering the London Fog, they explained how they make theirs and how they would add the extra lavender, which I appreciated. As mentioned above, they do not provide mugs for specialty drinks, using mugs instead to keep track of customers who have paid for bottomless drip coffee. I could bring my own mug from home, but I am not a fan of carrying around coffee shop essentials. Atmosphere: The building is nicely designed on the outside and sits on a corner with plenty of large windows that bring in natural light. It faces north, so you avoid the glaring morning sun. Upon entering, there is a short walk to the counter, where you can view all of the bakery and pastry items. A menu board above clearly displays the breakfast and lunch offerings, making it easy for first time visitors. There are numerous tables that accommodate small groups, and a fireplace with a couple of upholstered chairs offers a cozy seating option. Even after filling up with customers, the noise level was very good, and easy to have casual conversations. A nice visit and a place I would enjoy coming back to.

You get to pick the type of bagel you want, and I believe all the bagels are made in house. The service is quick understanding that your food is made to order so you might have to wait five or so minutes. The weight is absolutely worth it! There is a rooftop patio that gets you off street level, and on a nice day you can enjoy the sun and fresh air (unless they are cooking something in the oven, and you get the amazing smells that are coming out of the vents). Inside there are several small tables or a counter with seats that face out the front window. The inside design is bright and friendly. Was excited to see all the amazing looking pastries, cookies, and rolls in the case. So with all this goodness in mind, I was a little taken aback by the greeting I got from the male cashier/barista. He appeared grumpy and curt. One of the things I asked for (and I always do) is extra foam with my London Fog Tea Latte. He just flat out said it couldn't be done (because they use a concentrate and not tea bags), but I know that's not the case and have had that before. Now, if you are reading this, you might be thinking, "get over it." However, it was my first time here, and the exchange between us was very strained. After ordering my London Fog, with an amazing looking Apricot Almond Scone, we grabbed a small table. After a little wait, they brought my beverage, and it was very good, and it had extra foam! Nice job! However, I had asked to have my scone warmed up, and it never came. I could actually see it sitting on the kitchen counter, and I asked someone if they could bring it out, which they apologized for. The scone was as amazing as it looked -- warm, nice texture, with almonds and icing on top. There is a lot to like about this place. Great atmosphere, with excellent products. However, the service that I got on this particular (first) visit was not great. I would stop again to see if it was any better the next time. This could easily go from a 4 to 5 star review :) P.S. Everyone can have a bad day. However, when I checked out some other reviews, I noticed a few others that mentioned the service, and I wonder if this is something that needs to be attended to?
