Anna invited us to our table, and we were struck by the beautiful decor and welcoming feeling of the restaurant. She checked on us throughout the evening and was very kind and professional. Our servers, Regina and Crystal were present, observant, friendly, and all around wonderful. Leo's smoked old-fashioned was aromatic and delicious, and the pineapple mojitos were perfectly balanced and flavorful. Chef Javier's cuisine was simply divine! We ordered nearly all, if not all, of the appetizers. Each appetizer was elevated, delicious, and I'd highly recommend each of them! The main courses were just as incredible. Well done to Lisa and all of her staff for providing us with a wonderful and unforgettable experience!

The atmosphere is extremely vibrant and filled with positive energy ( I came in for a takeout order and ended up staying for over two hours... ) I had the honey hot sauce Salmon bites... and I would call them mini bites of perfection ( absolutely delicious ) seasoned just right and the HH serving definitely outshines its $8 tab... I also ordered the 1/2 chicken with seafood fried rice and cabbage ( that's for dinner.. but I couldn't wait to put the spot light on their super live HH ! ) The customer service is cool ( they can seem a little overwhelmed at times ) shoutout to Tae the bartender for doing an amazing job at keeping everyone happy and grooving ( Hennessy side-car was no less than an 8 1/2 ) And I want to give BIG props to the manager ( Kelvin I believe his name is ) he went above and beyond to ensure that every soul in his restaurant was pleased and took care of on a high level from beginning to end... definitely should be up for restaurant manager of the year !!! FYI: Now, my biggest gripe ( and what had me close to putting 3-stars... but the Vibe kept it at 4-stars ) was the fact that I ordered a dozen of raw oysters and they served them on a plate ( not on ice ) the oysters were warm, which made them stick to the shell entirely too much. Kelvin, one word of advice... no high end or reputable establishment ever serves their oysters on a ice less plate ( NEVER ) I know you'll correct that in the very near future... Miss Toya's is too on point not to invest into official oyster treys !!! Definitely going back real soon for HH again...

I was super excited to try Miss Toya's after seeing it all over TikTok, but unfortunately, the meal…read morewas pretty mid and lacked proper balance and seasoning across the board. The Breakdown: Fried Green Tomatoes: Overcomplicated and heavy. The crab meat on top came in huge chunks...almost like chicken nuggets...and sat in a very thick cream sauce over corn. It was underseasoned, and the combination of textures and flavors just didn't come together for me. Fried Pork Chops: I'm so glad I got the gravy on the side because it was extremely salty. I had to use hot sauce to give the pork chops some actual flavor. Sides (Greens & Fried Rice): Very average. Cornbread: If you like cornbread that tastes like actual dessert, you might enjoy this. But for me, it was super-duper sweet...put caramel on it and it could pass for a cake. Maybe it was just an off day for the kitchen or I ordered the wrong items, but for all the hype, it fell flat Maybe I'm just a tough critic because Chicago has me spoiled with great food! Service was friendly. The restaurant was an older facility with decor saying we're trying to be modern. I was a little let down spending almost $100 for average.

This was my first visit to Kitchen Savages. I had tried walking in without a reservation once before on a Saturday evening, and there were no seats available. So my first recommendation would definitely be to make sure you make/have a reservation because they do get busy (understandably so)!! Overall our brunch experience was good! I started off with the Mimosa Sampler for my drink order; I wanted to try the different flavours that were on offer. These were nice, but I'd hoped the presentation would have been a little better and the mimosas not as heavy with the juices. The food was great! Super tasty and packed with flavour. My husband had the Peach Cobbler French Toast and I ordered the 'Create-Your-Own' pasta. I requested it with salmon, shrimp and spinach, but it only came with the shrimp and spinach. Such a shame, because I can imagine the salmon would have made the dish EVEN better. When the bill came, it had the salmon (which I never got) listed on it - after pointing this out, the server checked with the kitchen, and kindly removed it from the bill. Overall, I would say that we really enjoyed brunch here. I will definitely be back in the future to try the main dinner menu & hopefully there'll be no mixups with what I order and what I get .

Once I arrived home, I checked my food and noticed several pieces of short, black hair in my food. This immediately prompted me to call the restaurant and inquire about next steps. The manager, Dwayne (dark skinned short, male) stated over the phone that there was nothing that they could do about it. Therefore, I went back to the restaurant and asked them to replace this nasty shit with something that was fresh (two everfresh juices). The staff does not know what they are talking about and were unclear on what to do about this issue. The manager did not care and was very dismissive about the food quality and stated that "accidents happen" to which I replied, that the staff should be wearing hairnets and inspecting the food that they send out that people are spending their money on. DO NOT EAT HERE. VERY UNSANITARY PRACTICES. The bathroom and environment inside is disgusting and the food is even worse. This made my partner throw up. Never eating from here again. If I could give 0 stars, I genuinely would.

All their items are made-from-scratch, and the menu seems to rotate occasionally. I love how it is simplified where you choose a $10 or a $15 main, which both options come with 2 sides of your choice, wheat or white toast, and a small canned juice. We ordered: +the Shrimp & Grits - the grits were the best grits I've ever had - they were thick, creamy, cheesy, and seasoned perfectly! I'd probably order this dish again, without the sausage, and opt for more cheesy grits as my 2 sides to load it up! +the Cheesecake Stuffed Peach Cobbler French Toast - this wasn't as overly sweet as I thought it would be, which was great; I think we'd go for the simple French Toast or the pancakes next time, though +Old Bay Maple Breakfast Potatoes - the Old Bay seasoning was subtle, and these large chunks of breakfast potatoes were more on the sweeter end +Scrambled Eggs +Turkey Sausage Link +Turkey Sausage Patty +pineapple and cranberry juice I noticed that the cranberry juice had expired, but it was easy to replace it with another drink of choice. Staff were friendly, but note that depending on the queue, you may wait for some time for your food, as it's all made-to-order; we waited for ours for about 12 minutes or so, and everything came piping hot! The portions are extremely generous and can feed at least 2 people or be split into 2 meals. Note that there are small little ordering cards to place your orders through; hand them to the staff, and they'll give you an estimated wait time. Most seem to get their items to go, as this is a food truck and there is no seating area. I'd be curious to try out any other additions they may add to their menu in the future, but I would definitely come back for those grits! +delicious grits! +friendly staff! +food truck located on Pennsylvania, in front of the shopping center
