Tri Dim Shanghai on the UES was fantastic--authentic, flavorful food, attentive service, a full bar, and spotless from start to finish. Friendly atmosphere and overall just the whole package. Definitely a spot we'll return to.

We have been coming to this restaurant for several years now and unfortunately it has changed a lot and not for better . Food is still good but service is very rude and less than acceptable. On several occasions in the last few months we had a really bad experience with service. Rude waiters , not willing to accommodate your standard requests ( like bringing appetizers all together for each guest. We were party of 3 and other 2 people had to wait 15 min or so to get their appetizers so one person for being polite and waiting for other people food to show up ended up eating cold food) few items on the wine menu was not available and waiter pushed other higher priced items . No one poured our wine , we had to do it ourselves, also water glasses not being refilled . When check came and we did not wanted to leave gratuity for the lack of decent service, our water demented a tip and was really forceful and very rude about it ) it's a shame ! It was a really good restaurant and I am not sure what happened to it . Food however is still good and if it was served on time not cold , that would have been even better. Lovely ambiance. After dining here several times we won't be coming back .

Their lunch special is spectacular for 1295 or 1395. You can get a spring roll or soup and an entrée with rice. I honestly had to bring home half of my entrée back because I couldn't finish it!

I came here for lunch special. The food was very good. Price is reasonable. They also have a lunch special menu. The places are well-designed and clean. The service was very attended.

Tri dim is my go to Chinese restaurant on the UES. The service is excellent and the food always great as well. We have tried many dishes and all of them have been excellent so it's hard to pick a favorite! We've had the pork soup dumplings, hot and sour soup, egg roll, thick noodles, chicken with broccoli, sesame chicken, eggplant in garlic sauce and shredded beef with chili pepper. I can't wait to come back to try more!

Tridim West is known for its traditional Chinese Cuisine and mouthwatering dim sum. We tried the crab pork soup dumplings , crispy shrimp balls--they all packed with flavor and oh-so-delicious! The decor is modern and nice. Whether you're a dim sum fan or exploring the Upper West Side, this spot is a must-try! Make a reservation for Sunday lunch. We got the last table luckily without one. The service was friendly and professional. The dumplings were all delicious. The room is decorated nicely. Great spot on the UES, walking distance from the Met Museum.

My local takeout Chinese doesn't charge, so why should an upscale restaurant charge? I've been meaning to come to this place for a while and was not disappointed! The service was great. My friend wanted an IPA, but they ran out of the beer. She asked for a recommendation and the server ended up going to the kitchen and specifically finding an IPA for her. I had a sip and it was quite good! The restaurant was beautiful with lots of space! The seats were very comfy. I appreciate how they actually gave us good seats. Usually, restaurants will put you in the corner even if it's a full restaurant because it's convenient to them.

I had seen a lot of reviews praising the General Tso's chicken, but I've honestly avoided the Chinese-American dish for years. Too often it's overly sweet with a heavy batter. Still, after seeing plate after plate come out to nearby tables, I decided to give it a try. What a surprise. It was a huge portion of fresh white meat chicken with a light coating and a perfectly balanced sauce, served piping hot. We couldn't finish it (knowing we had a big dinner later), but I kept going back for "just one more piece" more times than I'd like to admit. The hostess and our various waiters (they all seem to assist all diners) were all very friendly and welcoming. We love to try new things so we had to check out the Little Alley Pig Ear appetizer, and I also wanted to try the Shanghai Crispy Eel. For entrees the husband ordered the Eight Delicacies in Chili Sauce and I got the Soft Shell Crab with Rice Cake. Pro tip- their appetizers and entrees are hefty, with two apps and two entrees we were stuffed at the end. The food! The pigs ears were our favorite thing we tried- they well seasoned and so unique I've never had anything quite like it. We didn't read the menu carefully and were surprised it was a cold dish- I imagined the crispy was from being fried but it's just the texture of the cartilage! It's probably not for everyone but I really enjoyed the new experience and the flavor and spice were great. The crispy eels were also tasty, though with such a large portion split between just two people I found the sweetness of the sauce a bit much. I started dipping them in the chili oil from the ears and enjoyed that, but I'd still only get the eel again with more than 2 people to split it. For entrees the 8 delicacies was tasty, all the meat was nicely cooked and tender, and the sauce was pleasant. I wasn't super wowed by this dish compared to some of the more interesting things we tried but it was a solid well-cooked entree. The fried soft shell crab over the rice cakes was delicious and again a very unique experience. I found the sauce a tad sweet but I think I was still a little over the eel dish so I may have been extra sensitive. That being said, it was fun and delicious and I'd eat it again! I can't remember the cocktails we bought, I know they were good but the food definitely distracted us! Little Alley was great overall and I'd love to go back to try some dumplings; sadly we were just too full at the end of the meal!
