Although Dr McManus is a good doctor the Tres Vision group is dishonest. I switched to Tres Vision Group because Dr McManus had moved there. I have had the exact same exam with Dr. McManus for the past 5 years which is a yearly check up for age related medical issues. I have never paid for anything but my deductible as everything was covered by medicare. This time when I went the office staff said I owed $85 towards my medicare deductible for the year so i paid it because I knew my deductible was not yet fulfilled. Several months later when checking with my medicare I found out Tres Vision never billed medicare and my deductible went to another doctor's appointment. I went back to Tres Vision and spoke to the billing department and they told me I was put in as a self pay patient so the $85 covered that visit. I told them i have never been a self care patient and Medicare has paid for the same exam for the past 4 years so I wanted them to bill medicare and give me my $ back. They insisted medicare wouldn't cover it and it may cost me more but I insisted again so finally they relented and said they would bill medicare. I then received a record from medicare that they sent them $93 so I returned asking for my $ back. Tres Vision said they wouldn't give me my $ back because I had a refraction exam for glasses. I don't wear glasses and have never received a prescription for glasses and have had the same exam for 5 years in a row from Dr. Mcmanus so I didn't accept that explaination. The bottom line is I received 3 different stories from 3 employees of Tre Vision and I paid what they said was full payment of $85 for a (self pay) exam and then they received $93 from Medicare for the same exam and they would not refund me ANY of my $. I have canceled all future appointments with Tres Vision for myself and my husband due to their Dishonesty!! read more

I signed in at the Melbourne office on Apollo. Signed in at 11:10am today to have eyeglasses that I bought from Tres Vision adjusted/repaired. Waited 20 minutes for the person at the new glasses pick up/repair desk to call for me to be helped. Another woman came in and said she was there to pick up glasses and she was immediately helped. I got up and left and told your employee who rudely had me waiting apparently indefinitely to just cross my name off the sign in list when she got around to me. And I left. Inefficient office and staff with zero customer service. They have only one phone number to handle multiple locations and departments, they do NOT answer their phone, they do NOT respond to their messages or emails. I had one appointment with Dr. Tres in Merritt Island, I was there almost 3 hours "waiting" most of the time, the actual time with Dr and exam was maybe 45 minutes at most. You leave the office after consult with ZERO information, they do not give you prices or procedure information, they say someone will contact you within 3 days. NOPE. The office staff could not answer any questions at all and offer zero options. After my initial consultation I left 3 messages and an email none of which were ever returned, I had a second appointment scheduled three weeks after consult to prep for surgery and the only contact the office made with me was to call and confirm my appointment today for tomorrow, I of course canceled it. If I cannot trust the staff with enough care to return a phone call with vital information, I'm not going to trust them with my eyes. Unfortunate, I did like Dr. Tres. read more

Incredibly insensitive doctor and staff. Dr T , although reminded each visit, rudely ignored my friend's severe memory issues. He treated her as though she had no need for repetition and he and staff refused to give her written information to assure her understanding of what was said. My friend had asked me to accompany her to explain her concerns because she was afraid she would forget to ask. When I attempted to explain , Dr T treated my involvement as annoying. In an environment that includes many elderly people with memory problems, we would expect a doctor to be able to address those problems with care. Not so here. The Dr hardly spends anytime with you. Everything is done by someone else whose credentials are not that of a Dr. I ordered glasses 2 pair. Every time I go in to pick them up I wait and wait. They need to acknowledge people, get more people to work and actually take care of the patients. I can't wait and wait just to pick up glasses. My mother who has dementia had an appointment for 11:00AM. With impaired cognitive ability and effects of arthritis she takes a while to get where she is going. I got her ready with ample time to spare but she had an unexpected fear and uncertainty with which to get into the car and sit down. She finally got in and we were pressed for time so I contacted the office 10 minutes before the time to advise we would arrive at approximately 11:07 AM per the GPS (which we did). The rep who answered the call said that would be fine because there is a 15 minute window. By the time I successfully got my mother out of the car and we were in between the two automated doors it was 11:13 AM. I went to the desk to check in a few steps away and it was 11:14 AM and the assistant said we were too late. I advised her of the call I made and she said yes the window was until 11:15 AM which it was at the time we were talking and she said sorry they could not take my mother. A majority of their patients appear to be seniors with all the cataract surgery they have going on so one would think they at least have some consideration for seniors and exhibit some compassion for some of the issues with which some seniors with failing health are faced. Unfortunately not. This isn't the first time I noticed that. Those with dementia may have issue with perception and my Mother is quite literate but has had issues during her appointments with this provider reading the eye chart after her cataract surgery. One would think with the multitude of seniors affected with dementia/Alzheimer's that special or modified exams would be administered to truly access the patients' vision. Unfortunately not! I have asked. The staff, with exception of my experience today has always been nice and kind and patient but often the younger staff seemed confused with how to handle situations with patients with cognitive decline. Tres Vision may want to amp up training of all staff in this area. At least be considerate of all that may be going on behind the scenes of getting impaired patients to their appointments. We all hope to become seniors one day and hope to be respected and be shown some consideration. Bottom line after much effort I brought my 83 year old Mother to her appointment within the allotted time and we were dismissed and I am disappointed and appalled at such service to anyone and especially to a routine patient. Hopefully I can find another eye care facility that has compassion for dementia patients. read more

Tres Vision located in Suntree by far has been the most thorough in my vision issues that I have experienced in the past 10 years. From the moment I walked in to reception, through the exam and choosing frames...their whole team was kind, very informative and helpful. Jackie performed my pre exam and dilation. She and Dr Hebert were the most compassionate, knowledgeable vision professionals I have encountered. They made me feel understood and heard about my fears with my declining vision and gave me solutions that gave me hope. This team left such a positive impression on me. My first visit ... all the staff seem very knowledgeable. But the piece of equipment that measures pressure for glaucoma seem to be malfunctioning (which made me a little nervous since I've been getting treatments , via Vyzulta med, to lower my pressure), the optometrist came in and finally got it working. I also thought it was strange that they didn't give me a copy of my new prescription for my eye glasses ... maybe my fault for not asking. I'll call and get it faxed. read more

OK so to be clear this is Brevard Eye Center Suntree office. I will review the pro's and cons about this office. First the pro's they are really close to home, and the girl who takes your money is really friendly. Now the cons: The Dr. gave me the shortest eye exam in my life I'm not even sure he did anything, typically I have eye exams they take some time to see what prescription gives the the best sight, he never even checked that so I'm pretty nervous about getting my prescription, which leads me in the next part of my review. The department that actually gets your glasses are liars, no soft way to say it. They told me a week and a half earlier that my prescription and glasses would ready to be picked up on Friday of last week. So I show up at 10 am on that Friday and they tell me they are not there yet, he makes a call and then tells me that they were just cleaning the lenses and it would be overnight-ed and there on Saturday but they are not open on the weekend so it would be Monday. So I come in on Monday and he tells me that they missed the shipper on Friday because I was in to late... I'm like I was in way before 12 pm non Friday so why are you lying to me, the associate told me he could file a complaint to the insurance company If I would like. I'm like wait! you're going to file a complaint against yourself to my insurance company???? I told the gentleman no thank you I feel like that is something I should be doing, So I am contacting Met life Vision and let them know how bad this place is, the VA has better eye care than they do. I will be warning my community about this place and the low quality of their service. They are pretty pricey to and have a terrible selection. I went to them because I lost my glasses and was desperate to say the least. The old saying "you get what you pay for" certainly does not apply to this place I feel like their quality of service is a total rip off. read more

My mother was 1 hour early to her 3:00 PM appointment. She was told to take a walk because she couldn't sign the check-in sheet that early --first news to me--. She came back shortly after, signed and waited. Everyone that came in after her was seen and she was the last patient to be seen at 4:30 PM. This is unacceptable. While the medical staff was great, the office staff was rude and condescending to her. Especially the receptionist. The front office makes or breaks a business. This front office is accomplishing the latter. read more

Ana gave me a call about payment due. However, she refused to give me a dollar amount useless I was ready. All she was able to tell me was that the amount was "alot". I told her I won't be able to commit to a payment unless I know the amount. Her response was "that's unfortunate" and hung up. The worst managed medical office (of any type) I have ever seen. My husband has visited all three offices several times and never has the wait been less than an hour. For his four recent laser surgeries at the Melbourne location the wait time was 75 to 90 minutes each time. The waiting room was packed, no more than three feet between chairs, and the overflow crowd waited outside, most folks having to stand as the limited outside seating was full. Even the parking lot was full. Dr. Tres crams several dozen patients into a four hour surgery block and then sees people three minutes at a time - assembly line style. So, if you love waiting, standing while you do, and you're interested in catching Covid from the one of the forty others in the waiting room...then this place if for you! read more

I went in for my normal checkup, because every thing looked grainy. It turns out I had cataracts. The whole process from first exam to cataract surgeries, was extremely professional. All questions were answered, and answers were reiterated. I was calm thru the entire process. Best part is, I now have 20/30 vision without eye glasses, whites are whiter and colors are brighter. read more

When I initially had my eye exam and got my prescription I asked, "is this everything I need to have to order glasses or contacts even if I choose not to order them here?" The doctor's response was, "yes." Fast forward several months I go to order my glasses online since paying $50 instead of 5 times that in store is practical. Apparently my prescription does not have a PD number aka pupil distance. I measured this at home and it was very simple to do but I wanted to make sure I did it correctly. They would not measure my PD in store even though I was promised I had everything I needed to order glasses at my discretion. They said it was for liability reasons that they were unable to do this. Seeking legal advice I was told this was total BS. There is absolutely zero chance that them giving me a PD number could come back on them in any legal way whatsoever and it never has once in history. Upon further research it was evident they do this due to the fact that there is increasing competition from online glasses distributors that sell at a tiny fraction of the price of the exorbitant markups in store. They simply do this to hold your prescription hostage. This is literally the definition of a scam. Bait and switch. If you think about it they could charge whatever they wanted and just hold you in a catch 22 forcing you to pay their severely inflated prices for glasses. Total ripoff. I would advise to steer clear of these con artists. Zero effort was made to solve my problem even though it would have taken a 30 second measurement to answer my questions. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Bait and switch liars taking advantage of people. Pathetic. read more

I was in the waiting room a week ago waiting for my wife who was having a follow up appointment after surgery. This older fellow (88 years as it turns out) was giving Issac, who fits and orders glasses a very hard and loud time about upcoming charges, what to do next, how cold the office was, you name it. Issac was so pleasant and caring with the guy it made me take notice. When the questions shifted out of Issac's area he turned the guy over to Ruthie at the front desk. Ruthie displayed the patience of Job in helping the guy and had to make him an appointment for the following week. Fast forward a week, I'm waiting for my wife while she goes through another follow up appointment. You guessed it, in walks the old ballbuster. Once again both Ruthie and Issac display the same grace under fire that they had the week before. People in the service industry do not deserve to be treated the way these people were but it was so refreshing to see them take the abuse and insults with a smile knowing that it was not personal. I've been to Brevard Eye Center in Melbourne many times to buy frames and lenses. I've always been waited on pretty fast however it is worth any further wait when I ask for Isaac specifically. I know I'm going to get great advice and honest service. Isaac is a people person and that is important! On several occasions I've been kept waiting a very long time. This week they changed my appointment because doctor Walters was moved to another location. My appointment was for 1:45. I arrived at 1:20. To be courteous. Took half hour to be seen and put in dialating drops. Back out to waiting room. Called back in sat in exam room over. 1/2 hour before doctor bolos came in. I complained to him about the wait, he said the front office was taking in walk in people?????? Then said he didn't have time to look through my file. The name of this business has changed to " Medical City". After receiving what I believed to be 2 faulty prescriptions, 1 for multi focal contact lenses...the other for biofocals , I decided to seek care from another Optometrist (to whom I never disclosed the Prescriptions I received from this facility) and pay for another fittng/exam. I suspected the original prescriptions were wrong because I felt like I was wearing my grandmothers glasses (that I used to try on when I was a little girl)and repeatedly told the attending DO (Dr) that I could drive safely because signs were out of focus. After 3 weeks and having tried 3 separate prescriptions ( trial lenses) recommended by her ( not unusual for a multi focal fitting) I was told by the DO that "although I look good for my age, my vision, because of my age , couldn't be improved any further and was sufficient". I was told that the best approach would be to "enlarge the text on my iPhone". I was not getting given any solution for improving my distance sight, which I still complained was "out of focus". Sadly, I accepted that wrong advice and ordered the prescribed contacts believing what The DO had said. I was also told the eyeglass Rx I received in addition to the contact Rx , was correct and needed no changing. Fortunately i did not order glasses because I truly felt that something was "off" with that prognosis even tho I struggled with them for well over a month, until coerced by family members to seek a 2nd opinion from a different facility . Upon visiting another DO office and paying new exams ( bear in mind I never disclosed my original prescriptions from Brevard Eye Center/ Aka Medical City to this 2nd new provider), I did find out that my prescription was indeed different. they ordered me trial lenses (they did not have my RX trial kit in stock for my prescription. Upon returning a week later to this 2nd opinion facility, I was given my trial lenses to wear for a week. They turned out to be a perfect match and once again I could drive and read as well as I did when I was 12 years old ! Although my Medicare supplement paid for my routine exam at Brevard Eye Center/medical city, I paid out of pocket for my contact fitting and any cost over $100 for the yearly supply of contacts themselves and Medicare is having to pay for a faulty incompetent exam and contacts. I do have astigmatism in one eye so the contacts were costly. At this time Brevard Eye Center has refused a refund, violated my right to privacy per federal HIPPA regulation but not providing me with a secure private area where all their customers and employees could overhear my entire complaint and medical private history for 1/2 hour before I was finally offered a secure area to talk further with The office manager who had been for the first 1/2 hour dealing with my complaint in public at the front desk in the lobby. One of their clients/ customers even gave me a thumbs up!! I was horrified and embarrassed. Her body language toward me was so offensive, it only elevated my dissatisfaction to higher level then when I had arrived and when I told her I was offended by it, her demeanor somewhat softened but the damage had been done. I agree with previous reviewer who called them "horrible" and feel they have not only exploited me but Medicare, for accepting payment for sub standard medical care as well and fully intend to file complaints with them, HIPPA, ( their website has a contact address for their HIPPA compliment manager) and to the department of professional regulation as well. I am a retired Dept of Health / State of Florida employee and would NEVER have treated a client with the disrespect and sub standard level of care I received! Especially considering the amount of $$$ involved.... ??? They are all about their bottom line profit and could care less whether or not they provide sub standard care EVEN when provided with proof that it occurred ( I provided them with all the correct prescription from my 2nd opinion Dr/Do, but still denied any wrongdoing) .. read more

Long wait time . It took 35 minutes before I was called in. My nurse was probably 25-30 years younger then me but she still decided to call me sweetie. Can you guys take an extra 10 seconds of your time to address us by our name? The first room where eye pressures are taken was extremely small, uncomfortable to sit, overcrowded, almost public. The actual visit with the doctor and receptionists were great. After appointment I had to wait to get my written prescription for my glasses . I would not recommend Brevard Eye Center. I was seen twice by two different examiners at two separate locations in the past two months. The first experience at the office at Merritt Island was a bust in terms of the examiner who was too sure of herself. She was very young, and not a medical doctor. I had requested (when making my appointment) to be seen for my exam by a medical doctor, but they seem to be short on doctors. I have had past eye issues that need to be carefully monitored so therefore, I needed to be seen by a doctor. I relented and assumed it would go well enough, because I assumed they would do a reasonable exam. The appointment desk assured me I would be referred to a medical doctor if needed. I was very optimistic and looking forward to getting established with this eye center since I am new to this area. The examiner didn't listen well to my concerns as I explained my past eye issues.( I didn't have my medical records with me at the time.) But I explained everything well. And I take responsibility for not having the medical records which would have been helpful. Still, she basically "knew everything" and pushed my history aside and didn't listen. She did a very routine quick exam instead of the more in-depth and extended exam I normally am used to because of the past issues with my eye issues. Instead of following up with her after the examination and the verbal feedback, I asked to see an actual medical doctor for another exam, to be repeated. I was then sent to the Melbourne office where they had a doctor, but I had to wait a month to be seen again. There, I was seen by a doctor (as I had requested), but evidently, he read the first examiner's notes and came in with a bad attitude. I had complained about the first exam to the staff and needed to offer a reason for not wanting to return to her. I was truthful. The doctor at the Melbourne location obviously decided to take sides without first meeting me. He came in with a bad attitude directed at me. He immediately became accusatory towards me. He was abusive, abrasive, called me a liar about my health issues with my eye sight. It was akin to an interrogation by a bad cop. He was a brute. Did not dilate my eyes for a full exam. It was horrible! I plan to file a medical complaint against this doctor and with the owner of this practice. He actually accused me of being deceitful. There was no one in the room with us while he talked to me. The door was closed. I grew concerned about his attitude and behavior towards me. He seemed very angry at me and seemed barely capable of containing his anger. I remained very calm but he made me nervous and uncomfortable with his accusations. I have complained to the office manager ( at that office). I told her directly that he was very abusive. I felt she was also taking his side. I would not recommend Brevard Eye Center to anyone! They don't care about your eyes, and they are very unethical! Who needs to be abused! I realize it sounds very bizarre but this is what happened to me. I plan to take it to the medical board that governs his license and behavior to complain about this undeserved foul treatment. I am new to the area and was long overdue for a routine exam. Very bad situation as I now feel I still need to be seen in a follow up but will never return to this clinic, I have to start over! read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, JUST HORRIBLE. Upon arrival I was immediately treated so rudely by the receptionist, Ruth, who much later after realizing she couldn't bully me and talk to me like I was some low life, decided to change her tone somewhat but even still - she was still an uptight and rude greeter who gives the feeling she has nothing but disdain for those who come into the establishment to do business and receive treatment. Bottom line, I waited around for over an hour and was still not seen. My friend works at a large hospital and she said all of the nurses go to Brevard Vision Care which is just down the street across from the big car wash and Tuscany apartments. So after standing around forever, I finally had enough - I call Brevard Vision Care, they can get me in the same day or later this week and since I had a dentist appt I didn't want to miss, I made my appt for later this week. I walked out of this horrible Brevard Eye Center with super rude people and who also have a horrendous selection of frames - almost nothing - frames for old people style - nothing cool and modern. Oh they have signs for all over for designer frames but they don't actually carry the frames. Frame selection is sparse and ugly. What a joke - I will never return to this place and will never recommend anyone. So I walked out of this eye center and went to Brevard Vision Care down the street - they were so happy to see me I walked in off the street, 3 people greeted me with a smile, I was whisked off by this lady who showed me all of these frames and was so knowledgeable - they had a really nice selection, way better than the other crummy place and I was able to narrow it down to two frames that they are holding for me until my appt and I will decide then. What a difference in how you are treated! Not one person at Brevard Eye Center greeted me, I shopped for frames the whole hour I waited around and had to reach out to someone to answer a question, he gave me 1-2 minutes of his time and that was it and spent the rest of the time in the back. Save your time and your joy and go to Brevard Vision Care, Wickham Road. All of the medical professionals at the big hospital my friend works at go there as does she and her husband. They say it is great and I believe them! read more

Today,I took my 10 year old daughter to her eye Dr. appointment Brevard Eye Center. She was recently discharged from the hospital on IV medications. Although her appt was not until 230, we arrived promptly at 2:23 and were told that she would have to reschedule because we were not 15 minutes early. We were that late (WHICH WASN"T LATE, it was EARLY) because I had to start her IV's. Can you believe that I was told she would have to reschedule because we were not early ENOUGH??? Do you have any idea how long that doctor kept ME waiting during my last appt?? I showed the receptionist the paper I had, that was given to me BY THEM, that said 2:30. No where on this paper did it say arrive 15 minutes early! Even after I pointed that fact out AND explained the IV med situation....and how she was standing there running them at that very moment......A 10 year old child, standing there with IV meds running in front of her......and all I got was 'sorry, you'll have to reschedule'. Reschedule an appt that I wasn't even late for to begin with??? Oh yes, I will be re-scheduling...her appointments, my appointments, my entire household's appts! read more

Nightmare. ZERO STARS. Told to arrive 30 minutes earlier than appointment time for paperwork. Also told to download paperwork online and bring it along. Arrived with paperwork completed, and sat, and sat, and sat, and sat... Finally I was taken back to an exam room after I'd been waiting for an hour and a half (technically an hour later than my appointment time but of course I had come 30 minutes early as instructed). The nurse/tech checked a few things and took notes for maybe 5-10 minutes. Then I sat alone in the exam room for another 45 minutes. NO ONE came in to check on me, tell me what was going on - nothing. Three other exam rooms had blinking green lights outside the door, which I was told meant they were waiting for the doctor too. So after being there for 2 hours and 15 minutes, I'd had enough and left. Told the receptionist they need to tell patients when they arrive if the doctor had emergencies or issues and would be running so late. Give us the decision whether to wait so long or reschedule. RIDICULOUS!!! Never did meet the doctor. Unless you have 3-4 hours for an eye exam, find another place!!!! read more
