Love the pizza & the octopus! Service was good, waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. Pizza was amazing. The quattro formaggio is a recommend for any cheese lovers (8.1/10) The margherita was solid, a good margherita pie. (8.5/10) The octopus was sooo good. I recommend it a 100% to anyone thinking about ordering it. (9/10) My boyfriend ordered the pesto pasta with burrata. I thought it was just okay but he thoroughly enjoyed it.

I love the area this restaurant is in, and the vibe immediately sets the tone. I ordered the spaghetti cacio e pepe, which was pretty good and comforting. The service stood out, with staff constantly circulating the room and refilling drinks without needing to ask. We also ordered a pizza that was very good and complemented the pasta nicely. The courtyard decor is charming and genuinely reminded me of a trip to Italy.

Good spot in Bronx's little Italy for pizza! The highlight for me was the ambiance. Beautiful space, sky lights, brick walls -- I felt transported, not quite sure to where, but really enjoyed it. The food was good and the service was attentive. We got the pasta al forno and Malfade with pesto and tomatoes and pear salad. Both pastas were small in size bvery filling and flavorful, but I was disappointed by the pear salad which was wilted / not very fresh and very small. Pastas were a bit pricey, too (~$25 per bowl).

Took my niece here for dinner as a suggestion from a dear friend. The pizza was amazing!! We had the Quattro Formaggi and the Patate e Porcini. Both were absolutely delicious. We also shared the cannoli. When I visit her at Fordham again, we will definitely be back and I'll order extra to take home. Out of this world pizza!!

We love this place. It's big and airy. The waiters are always hustling back and forth keeping the tables well covered and the food is delicious. We usually order a fish, pizza and appetizer. The pizza bread is so delicious and their table olive oil makes it even better. Family friendly and just a good night out.

My first review for 2025! After visiting the NY Botanical Garden with my family, we make it a point to come to Arthur Ave for some great Italian food. We had come to Zero Otto Nove our first time over 10 years ago and I thought this would be a great time for a repeat after the recent train show. I still remember the rustic decor and we were seated at the front dining room this time. A basket of sliced Italian loaf to be dipped in EVOO is always a welcoming sight when we sit down. Starting with Clams Oreganata and a La San Matteo Pizza for the table is a good way to start. The pizza comes fresh out of the domed pizza oven with a crispy charred hand rolled crust, bubbling mozzarella, crumbled sausage and chopped broccoli rabe. Ask for more bread if you want to soak up the sauce in the clams. Around the table, we had assorted pasta and seafood dishes from the regular menu as well as the specials. The Risotto alla Pescatore is loaded with scallops, clams and mussels, which my wife loved. My sister loved her Linguini alla Vongole with fresh clams and fresh pasta. My other sister went with the Fillet of Sole with mussels arranged the fish & vegetables in a creamy sauce. When I heard Osso Bucco was a special I knew I had to try it. The meat fell off the braised veal shank into the pool of sauce. The side of risotto & cannelloni beans was a nice accompaniment. With so many great restaurants on Arthur Ave, it took us a while to make the roundabout back to Zero Otto Nove, but I'm glad we did and hopefully won't take us as long the next time round!

New York flavours by the Bronx Zoo Trattoria Zero Otto Nove overall was a delightful experience. The service stood out as attentive and professional, with staff offering excellent recommendations that showcased the menu's highlights. The ambiance, while cozy (if you sit in the corner) leaned on the darker and quieter side, which might not appeal to everyone but could work well for an intimate evening. Taste: 4/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Value for money: 3.5/5 We had: * Grilled Octopus (5/5): Perfectly tender with just the right amount of smoky, grilled flavor. An absolute must-try for seafood lovers. * Margherita Pizza: A well-executed classic. The tomato sauce was slightly sweet but balanced beautifully with the other ingredients. * La Cirilo (14-inch pie): A creative and flavorful combination. The butternut squash added a subtle sweetness, while the creamed and truffle mushrooms brought a rich, umami depth to the dish. The quality of the food and the thoughtful preparation made the meal worth its price, though a touch more brightness in the ambiance would elevate the overall experience. Would I return? Definitely--for the flavors and solid service. Especially after a long walk at the zoo!

Was honestly baffled when I saw that I hadn't reviewed Zero Otto Nove. The only explanation is that I've been heading there since before I was actively Yelping. My family has been there a number of times through the years and this past Saturday, my wife and I decided it's been too long. Arthur Avenue was packed on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon and we were greeted by friendly and professional hostesses. We lucked into a table for two in an otherwise full restaurant. I recognized our waiter from past trips, also pleasant and professional. The restaurant is charming and certainly transports us to Italy. We decided to have a selection of appetizers and a vegetable side. Mini meatballs and polenta are a favorite. The fava and artichoke appetizer is quite good. The burrata and beet is super high quality. The Brussels sprouts and guanciale vegetable side is nicely prepared. We also really enjoyed the ample cold antipasto platter. My wife enjoyed a glass of a Super Tuscan red wine. Nice opportunity to remind ourselves how much we love this restaurant!

The ambiance is unique and designed to make you feel like you are in Italy. The service is attentive and eager to please. We had been there a few years back when the upstairs was open ... it truly felt like you were in a piazza in Italy. The food is delicious though we felt the portions were smaller than we were expecting... the potatoes were flavorful and so was the Pescatore dish... we would have liked more in it. That is my only reason for taking off a star. Love this place otherwise, and will return.

Wow, truly authentic Italian! I had the rigatoni al forno with meatballs, soppressata, and egg. Normally, I'd be hesitant about an egg on my pasta--but this was absolutely amazing! Everything was perfectly balanced, rich, and comforting. Definitely a standout dish. To top it all off, they brought us homemade limoncello shots at the end of the meal--a perfect finish to a fantastic experience!

Zero Otto Nove, in Little Italy in the Bronx, serves amazing Italian food. We got the caprese pizza (four slices), rigatoni con zucca, and linguini puttanseca. The caprese pizza had fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, oregano, arugula, and shaved parmigiano. The pizza dough came out and fresh with a soft texture. I believe it tastes better when not folded. The rigatoni came with butternut squash puree, peas, and porcini mushrooms. The al dente texture tasted amazing, and the thickness of the rigatoni made it filling. I loved the butternut squash puree and would highly recommend this dish. The table came with four slices of bread and olive oil. The service was great. Waiters filled our water glasses without us asking, and they continually checked in on us. One major issue, however, is that I feel that there's not much to do around Little Italy in the Bronx. The nearby New York Botanical Garden is about a thirty-minute walk away, but I feel that there aren't other interesting sights to see or things to do around the area.

My husband arrived at 7:04 PM. The food was not ready. He was repeatedly told vague timelines ("a little while," then 7:15 PM), none of which were accurate. The manager disappeared into the kitchen, leaving him waiting with no updates. By 7:48 PM, after over 40 minutes, he left without the food. During that wait, other customers were seated, served, finished their meals, paid, and left -- all while two simple sandwiches could not be produced. I spoke directly with the manager twice. Instead of taking responsibility, he argued about the pickup time, minimized the delay, and only offered excuses and after-the-fact store credit. No proactive communication. No apology. No basic follow-through. Delays happen. This level of disorganization and lack of accountability is unacceptable. Order takeout elsewhere if you value your time.

The food was well-prepared and hearty, especially the pasta dishes, which tasted fresh and filling. Some items stood out more than others, but overall quality was solid. I also took home a side order of escarole, sauteed in olive oil and garlic, and grated Parmesan on the side. The Chicken Scarpariello ($37 w/option ) is great and quite filling. The Chicken is coming from the thighs as best I can determine and is chopped up with a few bones that can be handled with a knife and fork. I would definitely order this always on the bone for flavor. You have the boneless option, but go with the bone. The cherry hot peppers add a definitive kick, above Fra Diavolo level, but nothing anyone cannot handle. The sausage was overcooked, but the potatoes were spot on. The red sauce, ziti and Parmesan calmed the moderate heat down if anyone is concerned. The escarole was a good accompaniment, but the spice level overwhelmed the wine with this dish. By the way, I can now confirm this $48 Montepulciano is of the Sangiovese varietal from Montepulciano D.O.C. The Chicken Scarpariello with the added option is also a more fulfilling meal than the Veal Martini and I can understand why it is a leading dish on the menu at Enzo's. I find it to be equally good too, so no downgrade in the rating. It highlights the consistency of the dishes served by the kitchen with steady chefs over the years. Marcello, my server, told no lies. The Double Cut Pork Chop ($33) was a bit more satisfying and delicious. It's thick, about two inches or more thick. They trimmed most of the fat, but left enough for added flavor. Notice the darkened color of the fat trim that has been seared and caramelized. Yum! The thick chop is cooked all the way through, but it's not tough or challenging to cut. It's still juicy and somewhat tender inside, with the added juice and flavor of the sauce. Over the escarole and pasta with garlic and dusted with Parmesan for that pop, your palate is in for a most satisfying experience. The Double Cut Pork Chop is one of those dishes that will keep people coming to Enzo's. It also paired better with the wine, given the heat from the hot cherry peppers was less pronounced and not overwhelming for the relatively low tannin and low acidity wine. I have had Sangiovese that drink a lot bigger and don't even mention the Brunellos. Enzo's of Williamsbridge is not overcharging in my opinion. They could have increased prices more on account of inflation, but they have not. Their loyal patrons would balk of they did. The dishes on the menu generally range from the high twenties to high thirties for generous servings. Wines by the bottle are reasonably priced and I can see why one would take your family here or take someone on a date here with the quality and value proposition served up consistently since 1998. Enzo's is a go to restaurant for many loyal patrons. I would and will return easily and can give Enzo's high marks. Just seat me inside the main dining room next time please. 4.0 very solid and consistent stars!
