Has been one of my go to stops for pizza for a few years now. I recently went in to buy a pepperoni slice and a can soda...Charged $12.00. It's been a long time since I had a slice of pizza this large and it was great! Crust was crunchy, oregano was tasty as well as the sauce, cheese and pepperoni. I also ordered tortellini soup and I could not believe the portions and again very tasty. The chicken parm was delicious and portions were very healthy! I've had better pizza than this in the Bronx the flop on their pizza is the worse I had to hold the slice from the back and body of the slice. Not to mention if you decide to eat in good luck because the tables were full of folks sitting and waiting on their take out orders than eating in. This place is always on the to do list when we come to New York! We haven't been since their building burned. Excellent pizza! We ordered a slice of the bbq chicken pizza, a slice of bacon pizza and the garlic knots with cheese. I think the bacon on the pizza may have been smoked. They filled the slice of pizza with a lot of bbq chicken. And the garlic knots were hit, full of garlic and cheese. I would suggest ordering it with a side of marinara. read more

I grew up in the area and have been going here since I was a kid (until I moved). This is in no way close to what Dominic (original owner) used to churn out. The pizza doesn't pack that old school chutzpah and hence, I was disappointed at the product they churned out. The Italian flavor, Italian charm, and Italian charisma have left the room. There were three hispanic men (nice but not the OGs) churning out these mediocre pies and a then charging $21 for 8 medium (and mediocre) slices. The large pie is around 16-18 inches I believe but it ultimately lacks the size and flavor definition of its predecessors. When a good establishment changes hand, it is customary to let people in on the fact that their is new management at the helm. The Italians who used to own this place and churn out quality product most likely went on to bigger and better things (real estate development etc) so the new boys on here are not the one we need to be seeking to fulfill our craving for 90's NYC $1.00 slice pizza. They need to change the name of this pizza joint from Three boys from Italy to Three boys from Guadalajara. I mean that with the utmost respect. There are better pizza joints in the area. read more

And whomever has mentioned Dominic in a review, the eldest of the three boys, had passed a few years ago. He was a wonderful man and his families pizzeria is still going strong in New Jersey on the border of Rockland County. And if you want to see Tony, the brother you know most, you will see him there sometimes. So again, good luck to these owners, but you are not the Original Three Boys. read more

Came here out of desperation - not much else around. Wasn't expecting the world, but man was I surprised. One of the best plain slices I've had. Their specialty slices are a bit steep: $4.50 for a white slice (AYFKM?!) but the plain slices follow the subway fare rule of thumb...$2.75...and for that $2.75 you get a pretty substantial pizza slab! People complaining that a plain slice is a ripoff? Go eat your shitty dollar pizza and go away. read more

I've lived in the area for 3 years and have only stopped in three times; every time I'm reminded why. Pizza's are too expensive, the wait is too long, and after all of that the food tastes bland. I ordered a personal "margharita" pizza and waited about 30 minutes which would've been fine if it was what I ordered but what I ended up getting was a regular cheese pizza the only difference is the cheese was in spots rather than all around. No basil, no flavor, nothing. I hate writing bad reviews, it makes me feel like such a karen but hopefully this is taken as constructive criticism. The reason its 4 stars and not 5 is the prices, plus they charge tax on top of their own store prices, its to expensive, a slice of pizza is $3:50, thats outrageously high. I thought the pizza here was just okay, although above average for a giant slice place. First off, this place rubs me the wrong way because they have too many rules. There's no bathroom, you pay for ice, 2 ways are prohibited...I mean I know these things can be issues in the Bronx, but you don't need to put up so many signs about them. The place is one big open space, with like 3 4-person tables and everything else behind a counter. The staff was friendly enough, and the tile work around the walls was nice looking for the Bronx, but of course all this means nothing. What does mean something is the pizza. I thought the crust, cheese, and sauce here were all thoroughly mediocre. The sauce didn't stand out and there wasn't that much to begin with; the cheese was okay quality but there was too much of it. The crust was a typical giant slice crust: doughy and completely unremarkable. As a whole, it wasn't terrible for some reason but nothing remarkable what so ever. Just because the slices are huge doesn't make it great pizza. This is pretty good for the area all things considered, but I'm not sure why this place has as good a rep as it does. I'd skip this one unless you're in the immediate area looking for a cheap meal, and even then there was a burger place on the corner that looked pretty good. read more

Best hood pizza + always a fun place to stop and its open till 3 + the old guy in the back is always there, even you think hes not, WAIT- he will pop out just for a second or two. At first gimpse- this slice may seem a bit cheesy, but alas- it is actually an acceptable sauce to cheese ratio- one of the first times i have been fooled. Get the red drink out of the fountain- it completes the three (tree) boys experience. If going on a Bronx pizza tour- It is compulsory to stop here- It is unique in its location- all of the other good Bronx Pizza spots are located in Italian strongholds-- this one has survived the transition and continues to prosper. There back!!! Super happy to see these guys back up and running! Pizza is still as good as it was before. The place is set up the same way it was before. My only issue is that I brought 3 slices, 2 with pepperoni & a regular which I thought would come out to $10.75 but when I went to pay the lady she said $11.70!!! There's Tax Now! If only they were open 24 hours a day! I'd have pizza for breakfast! They have a good variety of pizza, calzone, and other New York pizza standards. My only ding is that they make me leave the house to get some of the best pizza in NYC because they don't offer home delivery and many of their subpar competitors do.
