Nothing fancy, good neighborhood pizza joint. Had hero and pasta. Really good. Priced right.

    BEST PIZZA EVER !

This is the BEST PIZZA EVER IN ALL OF NEW YORK!!! You have all types of people come in from everywhere to this pizza place; people from the neighborhood, First Responders, and people from everywhere else who know that this is the only place where you can get a slice of heaven. I love that Three Boys From Italy is family owned. Dominic who is now running the family business makes you feel like you are part of the family when you come visit. This place knows how to make GREAT PIZZA. The way the cheese is oily (in a good way) and not dry really shows that they only use FRESH CHEESE. Dont be surprised by the fact that they do not leave out bottles of parm, you won't need it !!!! I cant wait to be back here.

    Not it.

I grew up in the area and have been going here since I was a kid (until I moved). This is in no way close to what Dominic (original owner) used to churn out. The pizza doesn't pack that old school chutzpah and hence, I was disappointed at the product they churned out. The Italian flavor, Italian charm, and Italian charisma have left the room. There were three hispanic men (nice but not the OGs) churning out these mediocre pies and a then charging $21 for 8 medium (and mediocre) slices. The large pie is around 16-18 inches I believe but it ultimately lacks the size and flavor definition of its predecessors. When a good establishment changes hand, it is customary to let people in on the fact that their is new management at the helm. The Italians who used to own this place and churn out quality product most likely went on to bigger and better things (real estate development etc) so the new boys on here are not the one we need to be seeking to fulfill our craving for 90's NYC $1.00 slice pizza. They need to change the name of this pizza joint from Three boys from Italy to Three boys from Guadalajara. I mean that with the utmost respect. There are better pizza joints in the area.

This place is always on the to do list when we come to New York! We haven't been since their building burned. Excellent pizza! We ordered a slice of the bbq chicken pizza, a slice of bacon pizza and the garlic knots with cheese. I think the bacon on the pizza may have been smoked. They filled the slice of pizza with a lot of bbq chicken. And the garlic knots were hit, full of garlic and cheese. I would suggest ordering it with a side of marinara.

Best pizza ever omg I don't even know where to start with this review but I'm so in love with this pizza ever time I come to the Bronx I gotta have a slice if you want real NY pizza then this is definitely the place to come and the prices are very reasonable too! I promise you that you won't be disappointed

    Plain slice.
    Heather G.

Came here out of desperation - not much else around. Wasn't expecting the world, but man was I surprised. One of the best plain slices I've had. Their specialty slices are a bit steep: $4.50 for a white slice (AYFKM?!) but the plain slices follow the subway fare rule of thumb...$2.75...and for that $2.75 you get a pretty substantial pizza slab! People complaining that a plain slice is a ripoff? Go eat your shitty dollar pizza and go away.

This is literally the worst pizza in New York State. The workers are rude. They upset but not once did The worker that I spoke to was disgustingly rude. Need to do much better

    "Margherita" pizza

I've lived in the area for 3 years and have only stopped in three times; every time I'm reminded why. Pizza's are too expensive, the wait is too long, and after all of that the food tastes bland. I ordered a personal "margharita" pizza and waited about 30 minutes which would've been fine if it was what I ordered but what I ended up getting was a regular cheese pizza the only difference is the cheese was in spots rather than all around. No basil, no flavor, nothing. I hate writing bad reviews, it makes me feel like such a karen but hopefully this is taken as constructive criticism. I'm honestly so upset, if it wasn't a far walk I'd go back and order something else or get a refund but unfortunately here we are.

Period…read more If you want to know what real New York City pizza is supposed to taste like, stop looking and get to Louie & Ernie's on Crosby Ave. This isn't just a meal; it's a Bronx institution. The Vibe: Old School & Authentic This place is as "old school" as it gets. It's located in the basement of a house, and walking in feels like stepping back into 1959. There are no fancy decorations or "artisanal" gimmicks--just the smell of fresh dough and a gas oven that's probably seen more history than most museums. * Pro Tip: It is CASH ONLY. Don't be that person who gets to the counter with a card; come prepared. The Pizza: The Best in the Bronx I've had a lot of pizza, but this is easily the best in the borough. * The Crust: Paper-thin, perfectly salty, and has that signature "Bronx fold" with just the right amount of char on the bottom. * The Sausage: This is their claim to fame. They use huge, fresh chunks of sausage that are packed with flavor. It's heavy, it's greasy in the best way possible, and it's legendary. * The Sauce/Cheese: The ratio is perfection. The sauce is tangy and bright, and the mozzarella is creamy and never "rubbery." The Service The staff here are exactly what you want in a legendary neighborhood spot--friendly, fast, and no-nonsense. They keep the line moving, but they treat you like a regular even if it's your first time. Verdict: 10/10. It's simple, it's classic, and it's the king of the Bronx. If you haven't been, you're doing NYC wrong.

It's got a thin crust, nicely charred, and the sauce was well balanced, not too tart or sweet. We followed with a penne vodka slice to which I added the recommended hot pepper oil. The pasta was cooked just right and quite tasty and chewy. Finally, I had to try the new tricolor slice - thick stripes of red sauce, vodka sauce and pesto. Delicious combo. Pugsley's is not easy to find but definitely worth seeking out. If you attend Fordham, you already know it, but otherwise, its located in a building that hasn't changed much - outside or inside - that looks like a high school hangout from the 60s or 70s.

As one should. I ordered the Pasta al Forno, which showed up hot, cheesy, and very much not interested in being subtle. Comfort food doing the absolute most -- baked, sauced, and bubbling like it knew it was the right choice. One would think "Boiled eggs in pasta?", but trust me, the bechamel sauce takes it to the next level. Ms. J. went for the daily special: Radiatori in Cartoccio, cooked inside a sealed pocket of aluminum foil and opened tableside like a little pasta reveal. Steamy, aromatic, and frankly a bit of a showoff -- in the best possible way. And then there was the Tiramisu. We shared it (heroically), and I'm just going to say it: top-tier tiramisu. Not too sweet, beautifully balanced, rich without being heavy -- one of the best we've had in NYC, and we do not make that claim lightly. We both love tiramisu. We both judge tiramisu. This one passed with stars. Zero nonsense, big flavors, and a tradition that continues to age very well. We'll be back. Obviously. ‍
