If you want a single slice of pizza to fill you up this is the spot! Pizza was decent and hot! I cant say this is the best but it was pretty delicious for only being $8 slices that was HUGE. With two drinks and two slices it was $20 in total which seemed like alot but totally worth coming again for! read more

Cross Bronx Pizzeria - Pepperoni Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Bronx, New York

This place is tiny inside and it's on a highly traveled street. I mean very busy, with vehicular traffic, pedestrians, and your food delivery guys on their (mostly) electric bikes zooming by. So, parking is a ball breaker. After you get situated with finding parking, better yet, take mass transit if you can, you'll find a non descript pizzeria. It's CASH ONLY ** they have ATM's inside for your convenience, which I had to use and I think the fee was 2.50$ but I'm not sure. The pizzeria slices are HUGE.-ginormous- colossal!! I thought it was going to be superficially large pizza with a horrible taste. ON THE CONTRARY - NO! The pizza was delicious and I found the salt content to be reasonable, perfectly salted. I paid 38$ for the super sized pizza. My kids devoured it, while my wife took pictures of of the kids eating their kite sized pizza slices. I highly recommend this "Bronx Style" pizzeria. The pizza is well cooked, medium to thin sized pizza and the ratio of cheese to tomato sauce is distributed evenly with a slightly cheesier taste than tomato. read more

Yes it a big slice. Probably the biggest you have seen and yes, it is a big pie. Probably the biggest you've seen. But the fact of the matter is the quality of the cheese and dough is not up to par. The pizza resonates of low quality mozzarella cheese and poor quality bread. I've been eating here on and off for many years and the quality of the product has deteriorated. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they wanted to "try that place that they heard of on social media or from a friend who ate here 20 years ago. it's just not worth it. They are better pizza places in the Bronx (Circle, Yankee Pizza, Ernie's, Tony's on Throggs Neck, Pugsley Pizza)z If the owner were able to improve on the pizza by incorporating better quality ingredients, I would definitely give it a shot again. I wouldn't even mind if they charged seven dollars a slice for that mammoth slice because it is very very big. But in its current incarnation, I would have to pass on a second round. It's just not worth the money because the taste and quality of the slice is so poor. What happened?!?? read more

Cross Bronx Pizzeria - Cheese is awful. Taste like the cheese you get in lid lunchables boxes. Nasty. - Pizza Near Me - Bronx, New York

I used to come here when I was a kid and I thought the slices were big then....they seemed to have gotten bigger or perhaps I am shrinking lol. Nice to see it's still open after all these years. The place is as tiny as ever, there are only 4 bar type stools and a ledge to place your food which is right across from the serving counter. If you don't like the heat do not sit in here or perhaps maybe you should so you can sweat off the 20lbs you gained from eating this yummy behemoth of a slice . Two plain slices and one with mushroom, a water and a creme soda was $17.75 which is an absolute steal in NYC. read more

Horrible- saw the reviews and thought I'd try it. Cheap ingredients made for a really bad tasting jumbo slice

Delicious traditional old school pizza. Like the pizza shop in your neighborhood when you were a kid. I'd give it an 8.5 on the sauce, cheese and dough. Nice fold and crispy crust. Only $5 for a huge slice. read more

Delicious and very filling my whole staff at my job loved it. We got a whole pie of cheese. It's rig HR on the corner and the establishment is small and cozy and has a few seats to eat inside. read more

Cross Bronx Pizzeria - Cheese pizza - Pizza Near Me - Bronx, New York

When I go back home to New York, this is a must visit for me. Cross Bronx Pizzeria has been a staple in my family since I was a little kid. Any time we were in the mood for pizza Cross Bronx Pizza is where we turned to. This pizza is the right amount of crust to cheese to taste. They have regular size slices but this place is known for their Jumbo Pizza slices. It's a mouth watering slice that people can go pick up after school or order a pie to bring home. The owner is always so nice and greets you as you enter. You can go inside and order and they also have a window on the side of the pizzeria when it's to packed to order inside you can order from outside. These slices are just the right amount of cheese to to bread to crust. I also ordered a beef patty with cheese and cocoa bread. With every bite all three of these items melts in your mouth. Tons of food pleasure, like I always say "Trust the Chubby guy, and I'm chubby! LoL read more

My family has been coming here since I can remember (I'm 22 now) and it has remained our absolute favorite pizza spot over the years. Big slices at a fair price. Fast service and the location is right where the Queens bound Q44 stops.

I grew up on this pizza and it never disappoints. Huge, delicious slices. You may have already seen the photos, but seriously- these are oversized- extra large slices. If you live in the area- you already know. If you're ever passing through- this is a must do. There is is limited stool seating inside, so it's not best for large groups dining in. Service is prompt and friendly. Cash only! read more

I discovered this place in 1999, it was along the way in my bus route of my long commute between Valhalla and Flushing. I think I went there last in about 2001. I see they are still around and still serving their jumbo size pizzas, good for them. I hope that one of these days I can make it back from Brooklyn. The pizzas were also scrumptious. read more

One of my favorite spots for pizza locally. Good, clean sauce, cheesy, and crust perfectly ties all that together for a very inexpensive price Huge slices for the price can't be beat, and the best part is, they're not part of the gimmicky social media posts like Pizza Barn, so there's no line, and no tourists. Only downside is it's very small, no bathroom, nowhere really to sit, so it's more of a grab and go kind of place, but I'm more than willing to make that trade off for the value and quality. The people who work there are nice, and the owner I think it was who I spoke to briefly one time was very nice and humble. I hope the tourists and outsiders with columbus syndrome stay in Williamsburg and the city where they belong. Keep this place low key and a local treasure read more

The slice is huge here. Despite everyone mentioning that in their reviews, I still had to mention it in mine. It's that big! lol Stopped by here when I was visiting a friend over the weekend. For $3.25 you get the biggest slice of pizza in your life. Was this the best pizza I've ever had? Nah def not, but it was solid slice. I would come by if I were around here and for the price you can't go wrong. I asked for it crispy and it came out just the way I like it. Had to get it cut in half cause its huge. If you want to get a slice of pizza that is good (for the price) then def stop on by. I'll be sure to try pepperoni next time I go. read more

Who'd have thought that such a good product could come from such a hole in the wall location. Corner space, two ovens, two people working. About as big a hotel room. Great GIANT SIZE pizza. The sheer size would suggest that the pizza would be doughy but it wasn't! It had a great flavor, snap/crunch with every bite! $3.50 per slice (plain) Can't beat that! Definitely recommend this spot! read more

Another Huge Bronx Slice Here's one of my favorite dining rooms. Just 8 chairs and two tables. You have about 6 feet from the counter to the wall and fears of the entire building collapsing are not unfounded.  There are two sizes of slices. One for whole pies, and one gigantic size for by-the-slice. If you want the real experience, get it by the slice. Each individual one measures about 16 inches in length. Picking it up makes you feel like a clown or Alice in Wonderland. It's so big that if you order 2 slices, you are a moron. It seems like they gave up on plates a long time ago, so now they serve slices on sheets of wax paper. Wax paper.  The pizza tastes garlicky and cheesy to the fullest, and properly sauced with tomato and grease in between. The coastline can get very big, but considering the size of the thing, proportionally it is fair and balanced like FOX News. If you talk to other customers, you will see how passionate their regulars are - and for good reason, this is the slice that memories are made of. Opened: 1998 Distinction: Huge Bronx slice read more

Now I live in this area and have always seen this place and never stepped inside. For some reason I did when I was craving pizza. It was all good until I paid for my pizza. the stores son came in asking for pizza fair enough. he started flirting with me. I still wasn't uncomfortable cause the reality is I can be nice I don't owe you my number. Shit got gross when the owner saw his son and said "why don't you shave your beard you look like a terrorist. and your clothes are too tight you look like a faggot" I was so shocked this was said not only was he being islamophobic calling a mass of people who are part of religious group terrorist based on looks but being homophobic too boot. Completely disgusting unprofessional behavior. I already paid for my pizza and took it without so much of a thank you. Went home and couldn't even eat it..I lost my appetite from the hate spewed from this man..disgusting. I will never come back to this establishment or support such hateful behavior. Mind you the pizza was mediocre and disgusting. cant tell if it was just the pizza or the hate from the man making it or both. read more

Girls talk, and usually they agree- Bigger is Better. This place has a very big slice, and great minimalist atmospher- but taste is really not that great. Very doughy- and fails the BOTS test (bottom of the slice test (uniform color, slight yellowish hue, no grit= not good)) So next time she says "its ok, honey, its the quality that matters" (as she gently caresses his "fresh mozz" while reading Cosmo) , unless she is talking about pizza, shes lying. 3 Stars becuase its named after the most inefficient higway ever!!! read more

Normally we go just for a slice. The slice is delicious, and we were psyched to order a whole pie. Well we are really disappointed. This pie is not good. When he told me 20min, I figured I was getting a fresh pie...I was wrong. The cheese is all uneven, the crust is tasteless. Not cool at all. One star in memory of all the great slices I've had there. One star to believe that this was a once in a lifetime mishap. read more
