Just for reference we all know how big these pizza boxers are

I used to come here when I was a kid and I thought the slices were big then....they seemed to have gotten bigger or perhaps I am shrinking lol. Nice to see it's still open after all these years. The place is as tiny as ever, there are only 4 bar type stools and a ledge to place your food which is right across from the serving counter. If you don't like the heat do not sit in here or perhaps maybe you should so you can sweat off the 20lbs you gained from eating this yummy behemoth of a slice . Two plain slices and one with mushroom, a water and a creme soda was $17.75 which is an absolute steal in NYC.

    These are the new prices

Delicious and very filling my whole staff at my job loved it. We got a whole pie of cheese. It's rig HR on the corner and the establishment is small and cozy and has a few seats to eat inside.

When I go back home to New York, this is a must visit for me. Cross Bronx Pizzeria has been a staple in my family since I was a little kid. Any time we were in the mood for pizza Cross Bronx Pizza is where we turned to. This pizza is the right amount of crust to cheese to taste. They have regular size slices but this place is known for their Jumbo Pizza slices. It's a mouth watering slice that people can go pick up after school or order a pie to bring home. The owner is always so nice and greets you as you enter. You can go inside and order and they also have a window on the side of the pizzeria when it's to packed to order inside you can order from outside. These slices are just the right amount of cheese to to bread to crust. I also ordered a beef patty with cheese and cocoa bread. With every bite all three of these items melts in your mouth. Tons of food pleasure, like I always say "Trust the Chubby guy, and I'm chubby! LoL

Just have an open and adventurous mind, is the Bronx and you get to find good spots to eat, also service is amazing and friendly. The ambiance can be romantic if you have that experience with a loved one like myself with my husband overall this is a spot to go to, to experience more about the Bronx.

Horrible- saw the reviews and thought I'd try it. Cheap ingredients made for a really bad tasting jumbo slice

Big slices at a fair price. Fast service and the location is right where the Queens bound Q44 stops.

The GOAT of Bronx Pizza. Period…read more If you want to know what real New York City pizza is supposed to taste like, stop looking and get to Louie & Ernie's on Crosby Ave. This isn't just a meal; it's a Bronx institution. The Vibe: Old School & Authentic This place is as "old school" as it gets. It's located in the basement of a house, and walking in feels like stepping back into 1959. There are no fancy decorations or "artisanal" gimmicks--just the smell of fresh dough and a gas oven that's probably seen more history than most museums. * Pro Tip: It is CASH ONLY. Don't be that person who gets to the counter with a card; come prepared. The Pizza: The Best in the Bronx I've had a lot of pizza, but this is easily the best in the borough. * The Crust: Paper-thin, perfectly salty, and has that signature "Bronx fold" with just the right amount of char on the bottom. * The Sausage: This is their claim to fame. They use huge, fresh chunks of sausage that are packed with flavor. It's heavy, it's greasy in the best way possible, and it's legendary. * The Sauce/Cheese: The ratio is perfection. The sauce is tangy and bright, and the mozzarella is creamy and never "rubbery." The Service The staff here are exactly what you want in a legendary neighborhood spot--friendly, fast, and no-nonsense. They keep the line moving, but they treat you like a regular even if it's your first time. Verdict: 10/10. It's simple, it's classic, and it's the king of the Bronx. If you haven't been, you're doing NYC wrong.

Nothing wrong but just a pretty typical slice of nyc pizza. For a place that does slices there's a LOT of searing options, both inside, and this area out the back which is pretty good.

We started with the Patate Salsiccia e Provola, and I immediately understood why Italians talk with their hands my mouth was too busy eating to say anything. Crispy potatoes, savory sausage, and gooey provola cheese... comfort food at its finest. For my main course, I had the Pollo Capriccio with a glass of red wine. The chicken was so tender I barely needed a knife, and the wine had me looking around for a Vespa to ride back to the Bronx. The service was fantastic friendly, attentive, and patient enough to let me butcher every Italian word on the menu without judging me. At least not out loud. The Mediterranean salad had no tomatoes or cucumbers which is pretty standard in a Mediterranean salad. No bread came on the side. Typical Italian restaurants will always provide a bread on the side. The chicken was ok. The seafood pasta lacked flavor. It's as if the seafood was just boiled without lemon, butter, wine etc. it had no flavor ! I requested utensils and to go items (plates, napkins) and the ordered came with nothing. Big disappointment won't be returning.
