Good pizza. Tried it for the first time and I really liked it. Will revisit again soon.

As of 3-10-2025 the plain slice is $4 cash (credit card is 4% extra) and a large slice and perfect. Very Thin slices except the crust w chewy dough and fresh mozzarella cheese. Just really good. Speciality slices are about $6 each. You won't be disappointed. Plus not too salty either. Friendly service. Not sure why ppl rate this place so poorly. I would eat the plain slice everyday! read more

Whether it's for a simple slice or a pizza pie. Cestra's is there for your quick dinner needs. Born and raised in the neighborhood, I have seen many pizza businesses stay for along time or quickly close. We have our staples that have been here for many years and Cestras is on that track. We have Franks, Tommy's, and Louie and Ernies as big staples but Cestra's can hold their own in the lions den of pizza :) I really appreciate their service for dine in -- it's casual but helpful and efficient. You really can't ask for more from a pizzeria. I have countlessly ordered delivery from them because they are the best pizza place that will deliver to me. I always find that ordering an entire pie is better than individual slices but they are both good. I ordered the chicken caesar salad wrap once and while it was tasty -- I was disappointed to see that the wrap was whole wheat without me asking for it. Not sure if thats what they normally use but I just won't order it again. OR make sure to ask for a white flour wrap. read more

This is my go-to place for grilled chicken salad and pizza. I decided to try their meatballs with spaghetti and get a small salad. First, I always get their garden salad with their house dressing which is really good. The salad always comes with a side of bread which is soft and good. The spaghetti with sauce also comes with a side of bread was good but nothing spectacular. The meatballs I was kind of disappointed with. They were good portion ( 2 big meatballs cut in half), however, they really lacked seasoning. I was surprised because their pizza and salads are good and I figured that would translate to everything else. Again, they were not terrible but for 15 dollars an order I expected better. Overall I love this place and plan to slowly try everything in the menu. I usually walk in but this time they offered a 20% off for first time online orders. Delivery was fairly fast and the young man was very friendly. I highly recommend this place. read more

Best pizza in The Bronx! The staff is friendly and the store is clean, I would definitely recommend this place.

Great pizza especially the Sicilian slices. Have a good mix of specialty slices also and a great neighborhood pizza place.

Ordered two sandwiches and two orders of fries. Fries were old and reheated. We both got sick all night. Never again- wasn't cheap either. read more

Wow I wow wow. I want to wear Cestra's pizza grease dripping down my wrist like a badge of honor. I had a meat lovers pizza and it cradled me. While I was waiting to order I noticed that they had a chicken Caesar salad pizza and there was a woman who was getting one; she said that it's now the only thing that she even gets from there any more. Their crust is chewy crusty deliciousness it tastes like what pizza standards used to be when there were standards. As for my Sicilian slice the cheese tastes amazing it actually has its own flavor you can taste each devoted component of this pizza the sauce is perfect, the crust crusty and cariño cheese ican stand on its own. Some time and love was put into this. Thank you all!! read more

Ordered the school special from Cestra's for today's end of the year party. I specified 12:00 delivery. I'm upstairs at 12:00 waiting. 12:10 an order for 12:30 delivery arrives. The driver said I'll check and be right back. He never came back. We call, and they say it's on the way. 12:15 a large order for 12:45 delivery arrives. That driver called in front of me and told me there was no order for 4 pies, we called the Westchester Sq location. No, we didn't, we called Tremont like we always do. We don't have that order, it's very busy. 12:20 we call again.they tell us it just came out of the oven, it's on the way. 12:33 PIZZA ARRIVES! Too bad class ends at 12:45. We open the boxes and start serving the kids and guess what! Cold pizza! Do better Cestra's, its not the first time you've messed up our order, but it will be the last. read more

Pizza was great. The chicken roll was burnt and way too hard when I came into the store. I mentioned it was my first time here and I was just checking things out. I asked if the Buffalo slice had blue cheese in it which they did so you know, I mentioned it was not for me so I got two slices and a chicken roll. I sat down and as I was waiting for my food, somebody who came after me got their slice before me and the person manning the cash register brought the slice right to her table but when my food came out, he had me come up to the front table to come get It. So then my chicken roll finally comes out and it's burnt and way too hard but before I even eat it, I asked them if this comes with sauce and I shit you not the guy says 'what do you want blue cheese?' I'm not sure if they were just having a bad day or maybe they just can't take criticism and they took it way too personally and took it out on me but what a shitty experience. read more

On a recommendation of our teenage son, we decided to order in. We ordered a regular cheese pizza, a Sicilian slice and garlic knots. Maybe this was a bad night for them? This was hands down the worst pizza we have ever had! This pizza was void of taste! The crust was limp and the sauce was acidic. The garlic knots was hard and almost stale and the Sicilian slice had a metallic taste. By the time it was delivered it was also Luke warm which did not help the food. With all the amazing pizza places in the nabe...please stay clear of this one!! read more

Real pizza by real people. Only the elite would know. Make sure you get extra cheese when you order!

Every slice was just like this one they obviously don't clean the oven's. I also ordered a lasagna and the sauce was not the best the cheese could've been imitation because it wasn't melted at all and the lasagna was steaming hot. read more

Always yummy the food from Cestra's never disappoints. It is one of the few places where a grilled chicken salad isn't just lettuce and grilled chicken, it's olives, red onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, and yummy dressing! Their pizza is cheesy, crispy, and flavorful. Their soups are also quite delish. They are currently providing takeout and delivery, support this business during the difficult times, you'll be glad you did! read more

Great pizza! Lot's of choice toppings. Pizza is a food not slop. They make a delicious sauce and the quality of their food is like they are serving in a fancy restaurant. Clean and friendly surroundings however I wished it wasn't so much of a takeout place. The service is great, very accommodating. Nice guys. read more

Came in here for a late night run of pizza! Ordered garlic knots and a slice. They were about to close so the garlic knots were a bit cold. The pizza though was actually very good. Cestra's Pizza - Perfectly crispy and tasty! - Pizza Near Me - Bronx, New York

Order at least once per month and always pleased. Great pizza and wings. Courteous and quick delivery. Recommend without reservation!

The pizza is very flavorful. The tomato sauce is zesty, and the mozzarella is very rich & elastic. The crust is good, and crispy. Plenty of body which you can sink your teeth. I had the meatball sub for the 1st time. There was plenty of meatballs inside the bun (not to sound X-rated LOL). I would definitely bring family, and friends to this pizzeria. read more

Cestra's Pizza is a jewel and I can't wait to return. Awesome place and the prices are reasonable. Everything I've tried until now is extremely good. The servers are extremely welcoming and attentive. Everything was delicious at Cestra's Pizza. I would recommend it. read more

I ordered through seamless and my order was wrong and missing items, when I called back to complain, the owners brother was extremely rude and disrespectful. Seriously, all they had to do was replace the order that was wrong and send the missing items. Instead he yelled and screamed at me for not knowing things that weren't listed on the menu, for example, I ordered shrimp scampi with penne. It came seperate and the penne was covered in red sauce... no where on the menu (seamless or physical menu) says that it comes in red sauce and also 2 ordered of garlic were missing but somehow it was My fault? Wow. Never ordering again. read more

Little known fact: "Cestra" is Italian for "Our pizza is baller." This place is exactly what a New York pizzeria should be. They're nice guys who make good pizza and don't much care about anything else. Cestra's interior is small and not particularly inviting. Aesthetically, it is "meh" at best. But when you eat there, you feel like you're in a New York pizzeria, and that makes it awesome. If you want to eat at home, cool...they deliver quickly, so the pizza will still be hot when it gets there. Their plain pizza is great, but their chicken parm pizza is awesome. And if you're willing to risk a heart attack for the promise of a disgustingly excellent slice of pizza, try the meat lovers'. It's loaded with pepperoni, sausage, bacon and chopped meat. I promise you won't need more than one slice. If you've not yet eaten Cestra's, you hereby have zero right to claim any other borough as having the best pizza in New York. read more

Love love LOVE Cestra's. Consistently delicious, quality pizza on East Tremont Ave. Delivery is speedy, too, which is great. My brother always orders the eggplant and chicken parm hero (which isn't on the menu, but really should be, because it's awesome). I love their salad pizza when I'm in the mood for something a little healthier, the eggplant pizza when I want something a little different and the fresh tomato and basil when I want to pretend I'm in Italy. The plain pie is also really good, as is the pasta fagioli (if you have to ask what it is, you should be ordering it right now). read more

I couldn't in good conscience say I prefer Cestra's to Louie and Ernies, but I probably eat here more often. There are a few reasons: 1. cestra's delivers. quickly. 2. THE MEATLOVER'S PIZZA. probably my favorite pizza on earth is cestra's meat lover's pizza. louie and ernie's plain slice holds my heart, but nothing compares to the meatlover's at cestra's. when prince wrote the song "nothing compares to you" for sinead o'connor, he was eating a cestra's meat lover pie. she cried in the video because he would not share with her. there is really nothing i would change about cestra's pizza. it is always high quality, delicious pizza. read more

Pizza is very good and a lot of their other meals, but they are not generous giving sauces out. They either forget and its too late to mention it or they dont give enough. Other than that small complaint they are fast, easy to order, and the food is good read more

A pizzeria in the Bronx... is well, a pizzeria in the Bronx. They mostly all taste great so it'll be hard to say this is the best pizza I've ever had. But, Cestra's has GREAT pizza. It is well seasoned, sauced and cooked. The service is superb. They are attentive and willing to do whatever it takes. I order from them and they are reliable. If they say they're coming in 30 minutes... chances are they will be there in 30. Kudos to the boys that make the place inviting. Bottom Line: If you had to choose between the pizzerias in throggs neck...this would be it. read more
