It was diagnosed and there were obvious signs as to why the system wasn't working. A prior mechanic supposedly had replaced my left bank based on diagnostic evaluation. It was replaced twice by the prior mechanic and codes were still coming back. The prior mechanic had improperly installed the system. (hole drilled in the exhaust pipe and O2 sensor was stuck in there). Zack's Garage found and corrected the problem. I will go to them again.

He told me it was a "pinched coil" and fixed it...but the sound was still there. They charged me $200 Moved to Tucson and found this place. Sean said it took him 5 minutes to find the problem which he wrote into my invoice: "Inspected and found bolt for sway bar was cross threaded and then someone installed a spacer to hide the issue. We removed the spacer and rethreaded the hole and reinstalled the bolt." My previous mechanic had stripped the hole for one of the main bolts and put a spacer in between because the bolt didn't go all the way through. That was causing the knocking sound the whole time. Bryan working the counter quoted me about $1200 for the parts to be ordered and for labor. He said that I had shocks all the way around the Jeep. I said ok. I left a $600 deposit to have the parts ordered. When I came home, I doubled checked my research and noticed that I did in fact need Struts in the front of the Jeep and Shocks in the rear. I call back and spoke to Hiram, owners son. Told him what happened and when he looked into it advised me that the Bryan gave me prices on a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Mind you the"Kid" never ran my VIN or even my license plate. After Hiram, ran my plate, he stated that he would not UP CHARGE me on parts but would leave the labor cost as is, making the total about $1300-1400. I was fine with that. Two days later I drop off my Jeep to have the work done. They had the Jeep the WHOLE day and told me it would be ready by 4:45pm. I go in. Speak with Denise and she can not find my key. Bryan walks in and starts off with "Did Hiram call you"? After that I knew something was wrong. He stated that they could not do the REAR SHOCKS because they didn't know the Jeep used a certain shocks. He told me that the new shocks were $500 each not including labor. They did not find this out until after the Jeep was on the lift (30 minutes before me arriving). Keep in mind I got no call about this issue and had spoke to Hiram twice before picking up my Jeep. I know for a fact that they were not trying to eat the cost of a mistake that was made by their employee. The VIN was never ran nor was the License Plate. How are you working on vehicles and NOT KNOW what parts are needed for those vehicles. I doubt I will hear back from them and that's ok. I will never go back to Ramons again. And just for peace of mind.... This is the 1st review I have ever posted. Do your research. Check their work. If you don't feel right about it. Say something. Don't pay for someone else's mistake or lack of training.

I originally took my Ram 1500 for an oil change and they did a great job for a great price! Their prices are extremely fair, I give them that. However, let me warn you that they do not call prior to working on your vehicle, I was never informed how much it was going to be to "fix" my AC, they just went ahead and worked on it, and expected me to fork out $400 for Freon. Ok, I paid and was a little unhappy that I was never informed how much it would cost. The next day, my AC still wasn't working. Mind you it was 98 degrees, with no AC having to drive my daughter across town to soccer practice. I spoke with one of the mechanics and was informed to take it back and that they would look at it. Well again, they worked on it without consent and now expected me to pay another $200 to "fix" the original problem I took it in for. Dan was argumentative saying "it was fixed the first time" and demanded that I pay. This review is simply to caution others, and share my experience with Ray Scott Automotive.
