Took some time, but this is the go to location in Tucson for Electric issues. It is a small shop with lots of experience. We had an electrical issue on a Cady and needed the dash electric replaced, they found options outside of the dealership (who couldn't do it and if they could would have been hugely expensive) by finding used part. They took their time and were willing to allow us to help by driving and getting mileage on the vehicle to check codes. Great service and great price. read more

I frankly can't believe anyone has ever had anything negative to say about these guys. They have saved us now twice and got us back on the road in no time at all. Their rates are incredibly fair and they diagnose electrical problems like a game seemingly in a matter of moments. Their fair and always let you know what they suggest before proceeding. They have really renewed my faitg in honest mechanics. I will never go anywhere else if they can help us. read more

They had the car for two months and never even gave a estimate for necessary pack rat damage. Always an excuse for why nothing was happening. We eventually had to go get the car and take it elsewhere. James offered no apology or explanation. As matter of fact he said virtually nothing. He is a bad businessman. Stay away from this place. I think a lot of the reviews are fiction. read more

My 2009 Corvette's transmission intermittently would not shift out of park. After trying a new electrical harness that failed after two months I contacted the staff at Certified Auto Electric. I had to wait almost two months to get an appointment but it was well worth it. They quickly diagnosed the problem and explained what had to be done. Cost was reasonable and the explanations and documents were excellent. Thank you all for the diligence and professionalism you demonstrated. read more

My car had three issues. No cruse control, both tail lights out, and dash lights. I dropped my car off and about an hour later I get a call saying diagnostics reported issues but they didn't know where. Was then given a quote of the worst possible outcome and was asked permission to continue. I agreed and about two hours later it was ready to be picked up. When I got dropped off, James met me at the counter and gave me a readout of everything that my car reported was wrong and he went over everything they did. It was really relieving that they went over everything. They even checked other electricals like my battery and gave me a timeframe when to replace it based on their readings. super helpful. Was quoted $350 worst-case scenario but James found that my cheapo aftermarket parts blew some fuses that were hidden and I left paying $158. never went to an auto electrician before but I'm glad I went here and I am really satisfied with the service! Thanks, James! read more

I bought a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport which I thought was a good car but found out that it had so many issues that one automotive place said I should just dump it. I did some research and found that Certified just did electrical work on vehicles. When I called they were booked up for a month but I made an appointment and waited. When I finally took it in James was very professional and said he could help me. It wasn't long and he called me and said the car needed a new computer. I got the part from the dealership and James installed it, had it programmed within a week. He had almost all the codes cleared except for two but after getting the new parts my car was running like new. He even checked all my lights and replaced a burned out brake light without me even asking. The total cost was less than I expected. They are busy but they do awesome work!! read more

I had a 2005 Mazda Tribute that if I didn't drive it every day, the battery would go dead. I replaced the battery and it made no difference. I took it to several shops that said the car had an electrical leak, but they could not tell where it was and recommended Certified Auto Electric. An indication of how good they are was indicated because the quickest appointment I could get was 2 months away. However, they recommended I purchase a "battery switch" which would keep the battery from draining between uses--who knew? None of the other shops had made that recommendation, but for $14 and five minutes of my time, I didn't have to worry about having to jump the battery between starts. When I took it in, they kept it for a week and went through it from stem to stern. It seemed that the electrical contacts had become corroded and needed a thorough cleaning they kept it for a week to make sure they fixed it and only charged $300 for their labor. They were great at keeping me posted as to why and what they were doing. Very professional, courteous, and reasonably priced. I would rate them ten stars if I could. read more

My original review was 5/18. The shop owner finally replied to my complaint over 1 year later claiming his shop and technicians work in a timely manner? I have to laugh at his idea of timely. Of course, 14 months after they returned my car I'm not going to bring it back. I long have fixed the problem myself. Incidentally, the original reason I brought the car in was never fixed read more

These guys have now worked on two of my vehicles and have done an amazing job with both. From a simple job to major wiring repair on my C6 corvette, these guys have continued to impress me. They explained to me what was wrong, what they did to fix the issues, and showed me all the work done. They were also quick about starting work on both my vehicles and left me highly impressed. If you want reliable, honest, and quality work done I highly recommend Certified Auto Electric. They also give a Military discount which was awesome! read more

Stay far away from this place as possible, they will try to hang you out to dry after doing my due diligence calling Meryl's, autozone, & oriellys the alternator for my Cadillac CTS 2007 ran around $180 to $200 bucks average price, I get a call from certified auto electric 2 days after I drop my car off, they quote me over $1000 for an original OEM part after labor, & $830 dollars for a refurbished alternator, they are charging just about 500 dollars on labor. They will try to intimidate, & scare you into forking over hundreds of dollars more than u should. It's asinine to believe a business would do this to there fellow brother... I will most certainly look into reporting this to the BBB.. do yourself a favor turn away!! read more

I dreaded taking my Hyundai in for several thorny electrical issues. I was sure I had a huge hassle on my hands, and should probably trade it in. As a last resort I read the reviews of these folks and gave them a shot....and fortunately they were fantastic! Far beyond my expectations, and nice to me too! Even gave me a ride to a coffee shop. They seemed to really care that they got it right. Also it did not cost a lot. I got most of the problems fixed right then with quickly delivered parts. The remaining issue--the iPod connection-- will require special ordered parts which they cannot order til they take the dashboard apart and specifically diagnose the failure. So I will definitely go back to them when I can leave the car overnight. They said that repair wouldn't cost a whole lot either. Auto electric is hard, and these folks know what they are doing. They are honest and polite, too! I wouldn't go anywhere else for an automotive electrical issue. read more

Pack of thieves, most dishonest, irreparable repair shop I've ever encountered. Prices several times over estimate, unnecessary parts replaced and then refused to warranty work. read more
