AMAZING experience from start to finish!! Our trucks A/C had been acting up for some time. We brought it to a "Big name" company that has over 10 locations in town... When they recommended replacing things that had NOTHING to do with our A/C and that they just replaced 2 years ago...We decided to get a second opinion. I've always known that most auto repair shops mark up the price of parts as much as double. That's why they don't want you to bring your own parts. I just accept and expect this. I went to D&D at a particularly vulnerable point in my life...I probably had a "kick me" sign attached to my clothing. And that they did. I always look up on eBay to see roughly what the part goes for. As you can see from the attached photo, D&D marked up one part 11 times the value, another at 4 times the value, and another (4 of them) at 5 times the value. My car was brought here from Caliber collision after an accident. Caliber collision originally sent it to a different shop and after the alignment was fixed my car was deemed "fixed". Once it was picked up it started having issues pulling to the left. The car was then taken back to them and sent to this shop (D&D Automotive). Where they stated the car had wear and tear damage and had nothing to do with my accident. The previous company said nothing about this and now the insurance won't fix it. When calling to talk about my car they were rude on the phone and didn't know what car I was talking about. When I went to get my car from them they said the battery was dead. So in addition to the repairs I need now that match up with damage from the accident, I now need a new battery as well. The service has been horrible. I will never bring my car here and I will never recommend it to anyone. It's been a horrible experience all around. I will be leaving a review on all parties involved. read more

If you actually want an honest mechanic working on your vehicle, this is the place to go. That term is not an oxymoron with these guys. I'm glad I found this place after the mistake of taking my car and wife's minivan to places like Firestone and Brake Masters far too many times. Spent a lot less money here than what I was quoted by Firestone to replace an oil pump. Funny that I was even quoted a price for the oil pump by Firestone because when I went to bring my car in for the service with the invoice showing their quote, they couldn't even do the job. Not wouldn't... couldn't. Apparently, the mechanics there are not 'comfortable' doing a job like that. Took it to D&D, and they took care of me with a drastically lower price. David is the guy to talk to, he'll take care of everything you need. read more

First experience was great, so when I needed more work done on my truck I returned. No diagnosis relayed to me for two days after I dropped it off, so I went and picked my truck up. Totally understand if they are busy and backed up, but say that before I hand my keys over. They do good work, communication, meh, not so much. read more

My truck was stolen and this is the shop that caliber collision sends the vehicles to for mechanical issues only they probably don't want the business. If they can't properly diagnose a car then you probably should steer clear of them as they don't know what they are doing. Its fine for me as I am capable of doing the repairs needed myself just sad that they don't know how to diagnose issues and that the insurance company won't pay to fix what's broken. read more

Sad news after taking my vehicles there for years is the most recent occurrence. I took my 2006 FX4 F150 in for major coolant leak. Over the phone was told it was the radiator that need replacing. I had established trust in them so agreed for them to replace it at over $700. I picked it up same day, brought it home and it sat for about a week since I work from home in this pandemic. During my weekly errand, noticed same leak. Took it back, this time told its the intake manifold needing replacing, quoted over $1,500. Not able to yet afford it, brought it home, but then decided to rent a coolant pressure tester from Autozone. Discovered it wasn't the intake manifold, it was the coolant crossover gasket. I cant attach video to this review, but trust me when I say it was spraying badly from the gasket under pressure. Either the mechanic didn't diagnose at all, or attempted to rip me off. I bought the coolant crossover gasket for under $20 and installed it myself in an hour! The saddest truth, is I find it hard to believe the radiator and crossover gasket both went at the same time, and believe I initially was misdiagnosed and ripped off already for $700. like the saying goes, rip me off once, shame on you, rip me off twice, shame on me. I am pleased to not have been ripped off again for the total dollar values mentioned. read more

Passing through Tucson I needed work on my Land Cruiser A/C. It was intermittently blowing hot air even after having it fixed 2 days prior in El Paso. It was Friday morning and did not have any sort of help in other local shops. Most shops had a week of wait time. I got their info form a blog on Ih8mud.com and so took my chances. It was on the other side of town but I am so happy I went there. Emily was person who heard me out and advised me the truck would be inspected by mechanic. We left to go site see the city and she called back after a couple hours. The damage was considerable and cost was high. I had already dropped $600 in El Paso shop with no help so I took a chance even at cost of over $1600. I sucked it up and it was ready by Saturday morning. There was a problem with a broken part they installed which is why I couldn't get it he same day. Thankfully they are open the next morning. Great work, excellent employees, and prompt services. Went there for years. But they started making up problems that didn't exist. Every time in for an oil change, and they'd find some problem that needs fixed. Always $500-$1000. Finally I got suspicious and checked it myself and had other independent mechanics check the car both with and without telling them the issue that supposedly existed. They didn't find it. Quality and price of work is fine, but they will find ways to charge you when nothing is wrong. So unless you enjoy paying $500 per oil change, look elsewhere. read more

Had a 9 am appointment for front end alignment. Arrived a few minutes early to check in. After waiting for 25 minutes I looked to find their alignment rack. The doors to the bay were closed. Really friendly and personable. Emily is so nice and very knowledgeable. The place I was taking my car had attempted to correct the problem and finally gave up telling me that it was an electrical issue and they didn't do those types of repairs. Well my car was on it's leg and after calling a number of places D&D was the first to get me in immediately. The problem was not electrical as I had suspected all along. They had my car running like new the next day. They even gave me a ride home because I had to leave my car over night. Also on my invoice they listed thing's that may become an issue and the importance of fixing said issue. I will be a life long customer of D&D. read more

I took D and D a vehicle with multiple issues, so it took some real patience to determine the causes of a stalling problem. They found two issues, and corrected them... then the problem returned again! They took the vehicle back without any complaint! They then found that they had gotten a bad part from the warehouse! They replaced it with a different brand... gave it a lengthy road test to be sure... then stood behind their warranty and charged me nothing for the extra effort and part. They even arranged a ride for me, to pick it up when it was ready!!! Today, you have to admire people who are responsible for the services they offer others. I'll be back! :-) read more

A couple of days ago I took my daughter's car in to get an estimate and the estimate was too high so we decided not to have them do the work. They decided to charge me $51.25 for the estimate. There was no computer diagnostics and they never told me there would be a charge for the estimate. Be careful... they charge for ESTIMATES!! Not happy with them! read more
