Could moving between states be quick and easy? Apparently, with these folks. Vic, Peter, and Spence made our move an actual pleasure with their kindness and care. It went faster than expected, with no issues. They pay their workers a living wage and still managed to make our move affordable. Thank you! read more

What an excellent move! The crew (Lloyd, Joe, Chris, & Dickie) were unbelievably fast & super nice folks! They helped pack up the odds and ends that slipped through my stressed out fingers & made everything so smooth & easy for me. I didn't feel judged at all for what a nightmare state my apartment was in lol. They were all an absolute pleasure to be around, funny and kind and chill. I hope I don't have to move for a long time, but next time I do I will definitely be hiring transdimensional! (it was also really awesome to be able to hire a queer moving company, the last time I hired random movers they made gross jokes about my body all day. I'm very glad that I was able to keep my money in the family!) read more

This was my second time using Transdimensional Moving and they're great to work with. The team was fast and efficient. Rate was very reasonable. I highly recommend them read more

They contacted my partner and tried to get me to take my review down (but not by admitting fault or making it right), which explains the high rating. The response clearly indicates that after your team failed to get clarity on my original request, I did not want your half-hearted last-minute "help" and you came anyway and charged quarduple for it. Your product is emotional safety and you provided 0 of it. read more

Best moving experience I ever had. Everything is exactly where it needs to be. Everything I own was handled as though it was an antique heirloom. I moved an entire complex home office and I am ready to work comfortably 30 minutes after the move. Moving team were a joy to talk to and spend the day with. read more

All of the movers present were helpful, friendly, skillful and efficient! We enjoyed their company as much as we enjoyed their efficiency and skill. I am so glad we selected them out of the three companies that we interviewed! We would hire them again in a heartbeat! read more

This is the second time I used Transdimensional Moving and, once again, they did not disappoint. The team, led by Vic was friendly, efficient, understanding, and treated me and my stuff with great care, kindness, and patience. I love this company and their stated mission. The entire team is exceptional. I hate moving but if I ever have to do it again I will only use Transdimensional Moving. Worth every penny. read more

It took me a while to write this review but I'm still upset about it so here it goes. Positive: guys were nice and worked hard communication was good Negative: Estimate was off: Original Quote was much lower: $800 to $1200 Then I added items. $1,088 - $1,408 I payed well over $2,000 plus the expected 20% tip. I was told the truck had a capacity of 800 cubic feet and we were at an estimated 740. Not sure how it came to so much more, even if I had a few more pieces. I had mainly large furniture items, some appliances, garden furniture, a large piece of astro turf, bike etc. no boxes and smalls tuff as I had moved all this on my own over a couple of months as I had both places for a few months... Only a small stack of moving blankets were brought! They admitted they did not bring enough. The crew used tape directly on my items! I have some very expensive furniture and also nice art. Minotti club chair, coffee table, custom beds... no protective wrapping went onto the dirty truck. A $6,000 Bright sofa luckily got wrapped into a cheap mattress cover that was not deep enough to fit onto my Stearns and Foster Queen Mattress (traveled without cover) A small bench is totally ruined on the fabric. At the new place I asked what to do about the tape glue and was told by one member of the crew to get "Goo Gone" ! Just to mention: The move took way longer than anticipated and we ran into traffic from Brooklyn to the Bronx. So much for the fancy computer programs... I had to give one of the movers a lift in my own car as they did not all fit into the rental truck. I had no problem paying more, I even made the crew dinner as they did work hard. The financial part did not upset me. What I am really really upset about is the utter destruction of my items! I moved into a large house and some of it is still being renovated. We put my furniture into the "safe" bed room and dressing room area and even now I just want to cry when I go in there and look at the mess. Bottom line: if you have nice things you care about better hire a more expensive company that brings blankets and wraps your things properly. This was shocking to witness. read more

I used them to move back in September. When I tried to book them, I had to call a couple of times to confirm and see if they received my deposit. It was annoying that I didn't get my window of time until the day before. They were late in their arrival time, but they gave me a couple of updates they would be late. I had a lot of stuff to move and an extra pick up that was along the way and did not finish the move until much later than I anticipated. I tipped well over 20%. After I started unpacking, I noticed quite a few items that were scratched and chipped even though it was wrapped including a garment bag with handled ripped off it. read more

Transdimensional Moving - The truck. - Movers Near Me - Ridgewood, New York

Moving is stressful y'all, but Transdimensional makes the process a whole lot better and smoother. I loved communicating via text with them, and they reached out periodically too with questions and to ensure I was on track for the move. So friendly, personable, and available, which I don't think is common for moving companies! Moving day was an even more chaotic experience for me, although that was my own fault! I wasn't the first move that the crew was handling that day so their ETA remained TBD through the morning, but Vic kept me posted on their arrival. Upon arrival, they had to deal with my annoying neighbors who wouldn't let them park across the street, so that delayed when they were able to start moving boxes and all. They were still SO fast and efficient though. They arrived at 1:47 pm and finished loading the truck around 2:18 pm while handling everything with utmost care. And I thought I had a LOT of stuff! I didn't realize I had to provide my own transport to my new apartment, so that added chaos to my day. The crew had over half an hour on me by the time my dad got home to drive me over, but thankfully my roommate--who had already moved in--was at the apartment that day and could let the crew in. The crew also worked so quickly that it turned out I wasn't there for any of the unloading of boxes and stuff at all LOL. My dad and I were a couple of minutes away when I got a call from Vic, who let me know they had finished. That was around 4:00 pm, and I got there two minutes later. So all in all, it took about 2 hours 15 minutes for them to finish the job--and that came in far UNDER the estimate they gave me, even with allllllll the dang belongings I had! I haven't finished unpacking yet, but so far I've seen that everything arrived safely and intact. Transdimensional is truly awesome--the rates are reasonable, and everyone who works for them is amazing. I only wish I could've been around for at least some of the unloading process so that I would've had the opportunity to talk to the moving crew more. They were so nice and INCREDIBLY fast. I hope I never have to move again because it's sooooo not fun, but if I do and stay in NYC, I'll definitely be hiring Transdimensional again! read more

An above and beyond company. I was doing a self move at the same time Transdimensional was working and all the staff were exceedingly courteous and friendly and cool as we shared the tight staircase. As we were struggling to bring our boxes down, they offered their own tools and tips to help us out. True professionals. What must be mentioned is that when my Uhaul van died out, Transdimensional not only went out of their way to help jump start the van - sticking with us through the hugely stressful confusion of figuring out what was wrong with it- they also sincerely offered to run to a gas station to grab gas in case the van was completely out. We were total strangers that Transdimensional (the boss Sariel in particular) took care of like community. An unreal and incredibly special encounter in NYC. They also had their move done in record time- I think the job was done in about 1.5 hours or less, many many flights of stairs and a broken elevator and a group of panicked kids with a dead uhaul later. Don't think that the time they spent to help us was time taken away from the move- they did both simultaneously with a focused, strong, and caring team. As my self move took 6 miserable hours- I would definitely choose Transdimensional in the future. read more

The service, efficiency, and care made for an amazing experience. I am so thankful that I got recommended this company.

Like most New Yorkers, I have moved many many times. I did a bunch on my own with friends and then they got sick of it so I hired Transdimensional Moving after hearing great reviews and getting a reasonable quote. Each of my moves with them have been as easy as a move could be. I have more stuff than I think, so my moves took a little longer but that was always on me. The movers handled my boxes and furniture well, and protected furniture with blankets. I love working with movers who are within my community and who are also artists and creators and have their own gigs - they have all been cheery and Ive enjoyed chatting with them. Rates are fair for a biz that is paying employees living/thriving wages. Its worth it. Don't forget to tip! read more

Moving is usually a headache, but moving with TD made it easy! Almost felt bad for not doing anything, but the team clearly had a hold on things and got the move done in record time (& I've moved 5 times since 2019!) Affordable & accommodating with a cool truck - highly recommended. read more

I was moving out of a storage unit and into an apartment on the 4th floor of a building that does not have an elevator. I was amazed by how fast the team of 4 movers got my stuff from point A to point B! They were very communicative throughout and handled all of our belongings with care. I've moved 5 times in 5 years- within town, from one city to another, and cross country- and have lots of experience with a movers. Because of their communication, reasonable prices, and overall kindness, Transdimensional Moving was easily the smoothest experience. read more

Super responsive and helpful; the company has a great mission/vision that stands out amongst the competition.

10 out of 5 stars, every single time. I've used them twice and they were super helpful and accommodating each time even though I'm always insanely chaotic while moving. So nice and always make us feel safe as queer and trans people trying to move in the city. Any support for them is support for the community, so please use transdimensional and give them as much business as you can! Peak moving experience, so easy and hassle-free you wouldn't believe it's in new york city. Love them!! Thank you transdimensional! read more

They were almost like therapists of moving. I was so worried I'd have skeezy movers that would be pushy or judgemental and these folks were just so kind. I wish I could get to know them as individuals. Really kind ppl but also incredibly efficient. I was sure the job was gonna take all day. They did it in a few hours. I was amazed. Can't recommend enough read more

LOVE THESE FOLKS! I was a bit intimidated by the prospect of my first big move and I couldn't be happier with how it went!! The team that arranged the move were extremely responsive and friendly and their text line was a godsend while we were packing. All of their policy materials are informative and outline any additional fees and why they would be applied. Their pricing is fair and they are very transparent with their estimates. On the day, they were efficient, careful, and fun to talk to! They made the process a stress-free one and I couldn't be more grateful to them and their crew!! Really great company with really great people. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for any move in NYC!! read more

Really great company, helped me sort out how to move without carrying any pest to my new apartment--100% recommend.

The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. My move went off literally without a single issue, which is really saying something for moving in New York. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to take the work out of moving, and I will be using them again in the future for the eventual next move. read more

These guys were amazing! Seriously if you are moving I can't recommend them enough. They were so friendly and responsive during the whole process. And did a great job assembling and disassembling furniture and even moving me when there was rain. For the service and work they put in the price was very fair. 10/10! read more

Sariel and his team are the best! I've used TD for two different moves in the past few years and each time they have been super responsive and finished well under their estimated time & quote. This most recent move, they finished the job in about an hour and $100 below the lower range number on their quote. The team are all really friendly & move belongings with care & respect. Moving is always such an emotional, painful process but Transdimensional always makes it much easier. read more

I am a loyal customer of Transdimensional Moving, and it's because of the incredible service they provide every time I book with them. Their COVID safety protocols are on point, they are excellent with their communication, and the movers are quick and efficient! They have a detailed quote request process to make sure all bases are covered, and they have excellent rates. I feel confident that my belongings are handled with the utmost care, and the staff is warm and friendly. Five stars, every time. read more

This was not a typical move; I haven't stepped foot in the apartment for years, and when I lived there it usually looked like a crime scene, or a case of hoarding. Then the landlord surprised me by doubling the rent, and I had to move during the busiest moving time of the year. I approached Transdimensional because I've dealt with Joe Macho and Sons-style moving companies before, and wanted to try something different. It took a while to work out the estimate, but once that was taken care of, everything went beautifully. The price was reasonable, everyone was great to work with, the move went well, and I am every happy. The only reason it's not 5 stars, is that I had a tough time using the customer portal, but if you have an ordinary move that won't be a problem. read more

I had an amazing experience! From my first inquiry, the team was incredibly helpful and very quick with responses. Checked in with me before moving day to see if I needed any tips during my packing. Just wrapped up a 10/10 move with an awesome crew. Vic and the gang took care of everything quickly and kindly--under budget--and made my move from Harlem to Flatbush a total breeze. Adriene and the team were absolutely amazing. I inadvertently picked the hottest day of the year to move 15-years' worth of stuff out of an entire townhouse and into another, with less than a week's notice. It was a lot of stuff with some weirdly-shaped, heavy, unwieldy things (record collections, weights and lifting cage, the massive old desk my grandfather built). They responded with a quote right away, were flexible with arrival time, and moved FAST. Also, they made a point of taking care with delicate items, and continually checked in with me to gauge what I wanted to prioritize. All that, and the finale price came in at the very low end of their estimate. Plus... they're just really good people. I cannot recommend them highly enough. read more

Amazing experience with Transdimensional moving ! Super professional. The crew worked super well together which made for a very efficient loving experience. They communicated via text to give ETAs and our final cost was similar to the estimate so there are no surprises. Overall a great experience would definitely recommend to friends and family who are moving. They even offered to rebuild our bed and futon and packed the truck expertly ! read more

This is a prime example of great small-town style service & hospitality in a big, uncaring city. My job required some super heavy lifting on short notice. So I was so grateful for the prompt response I got for a same-day job and the willingness to "go the extra mile". Great driving and great handling of my stuff. I will be recommending the service and definitely using them as my go-to from now on. read more

We moved in April 2020 and had such a positive experience with Transdimensional -- I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to move in Brooklyn! Obtaining a quote and preparing for our move was easy thanks to Sariel's clear instructions and prompt communication. We even ran into an issue related to the COVID-19 pandemic and needed to push our move out by one week, which Transdimensional was happy to accommodate on short notice. On the day of our move, Transdimensional's crew showed up on time with a plan and communicated clearly with us throughout the day. We even had more items than initially anticipated, and they were able to fit everything in the truck -- at the end of the day, nothing was broken, damaged, or missing! But best of all, our three movers were so, so wonderful to work with: hardworking, efficient, kind, and genuinely interested in our lives and our things! A process which I expected to be stressful and impersonal (based on my previous moving experiences) ended up being a breeze and a pleasure, and I'm very grateful to Transdimensional for their help. I will gladly work with them when it's time for me to move again and will be recommending them to all of my friends in Brooklyn. Thank you so much, Transdiensional! read more

These folks are THE BEST! We used Transdimensional for two different moves this summer. The first one was especially complicated, but they were incredibly flexible and helped us figure out the most efficient and cost-effective way to handle a rapidly changing situation. The movers were fast and friendly---before the move, they communicated regularly and clearly, answering all our questions and giving us good advice to make sure we were prepared for the big day; when it was time to move, they wrapped all our furniture for us, helped us disassemble and reassemble beds and tables, problem-solved on the fly (like taking our doors off their hinges when it looked like our couch wasn't going to make it through!), and they cleaned up after themselves on the way out! I cannot recommend Transdimensional enough---they are truly worth every single penny, and we look forward to working with them again and again! read more
