I might need a separate conversation with my stomach about this, but it stays that it tasted weird also to my husband! In past years I would order an omelette with cheese and it came with a bland plain egg omelette folded in half and stuffed with cheese. Maybe an eggadilla (Huevadilla?) would be more of a correct description. Not sure if this technique is an American classic (sorry for slamming it), but I'd recommend to add the cheese to the eggs *before* frying the mixture. The cheesy richness of the cheese enhances the eggs tenfold! My hb really enjoyed his half order of the two-two-two menu item (2 pancakes, 2 poached eggs, 2 slices of bacon), just the egg was overdone and not even a little runny. Why is it 4 stars and not 3? However; from the moment we walked in the door, we were treated as a nuisance and felt unimportant/unwanted. The hostess was atrocious and made it very clear we were being judged while rolling her eyes to common questions like "do we need a reservation or can we be placed on the list or seated." After she did common tasks during our conversation (and briefly stepping away), we were able to get her to seat us (after asking again). This started us off with hesitation which was only further exacerbated by the staff taking our order and not refilling our alcoholic drinks. We love to enjoy experiences and are not afraid to spend our hard earned money - sadly, this made our time here short lived. We were not informed if there was a dress code that established our treatment/experience here. Of note, the potatoes were a true homage to the state's most famous crop! And the lamb, sourced locally, of delightful quality.
