Was on a road trip and stopped in to the Cutthroat Club for a quick dinner. The restaurant is housed in a beautiful old building and the decor suits it perfectly with an upgraded modern western feel. The staff is efficient and friendly and make great suggestions for food and drink. The food is absolutely amazing! Chef Rodney is a genius! We went here to celebrate a special occasion and were very disappointed. We ordered the brisket and the walleye. We went midweek when they opened so there were only two tables in the dining room. The food came out very quickly, which we were pleased with until we started eating. Everything on the brisket plate was lukewarm at most. The meat was so extremely fatty that it was inedible. If our server had come to check on us after, we would have sent it back. If I could do it over, I would have gotten up and found someone remedy the situation. There's no good reason that a plate of food should come out so quickly after ordering it and not be at least warm, if not hot. It made us feel like we were getting old food and tainted the entire experience. The one positive was that the perch light and crispy. It's very unfortunate sounded good but not enough to return to find out. We took one of the two slabs of brisket home thinking we could "fix" it by rendering off some of the fat in a pan but it turned out to be irredeemably fatty. That's $38 down the drain. read more

WOW. This place is incredible. 1) the food is terrific and 2) the portions are HUGE. Definitely worth a visit if in area (even if visiting Ketchum and need to drive a bit). The brisket was very tender and covered in a delicious au jus sauce. Other plates were equally as good. Our waitress Hailey was incredibly kind and the owner even stopped by to check in on us. We tried this restaurant for the second time last night after a very disappointing first visit a year ago. Once again it was a very mixed experience. The salads were fantastic but the entrees were not. Two of us ordered the pork special - when I ordered it I told the server to ask the chef not to over-cook the pork and her response was "there is only one way to cook pork". Hmmm. Then it came out so touch I had to saw away with the steak knife so I sent it back. The other person at our table kept their's but said it was only because he was quite hungry. The third diner had the lasagne which he said was okay (served with cornbread, an odd pairing with lasagne). The fourth had fish that also was over-cooked. The server was not very well-trained plus was chewing gum and must have said, "Perfect!" countless times. We won't return. There are so many VERY good restaurants in the valley and this is not one of them. We don't understand all the great reviews! read more

On the menu we tried the Caesar salad (delicious fresh croutons), ribeye bison (mouthwatering), muscles/sausage (huge muscles), Japanese style beef over rice. A wide variety of non-alcoholic bevies rounded us out nicely. IPA and lime tini. Desert looks amazing but we are so full. Will be taking home the bourbon bread pudding - yummo! read more

We've been waiting a long time to go to this restaurant. Went for our anniversary and did a brunch. THE GOOD: the ambiance in the dining area is nice, the server and the bus staff were all friendly. THE BAD: We had the mussels / Basque sausage appetizer. Flavors were there, but you could tell it had been sitting under the heat lamp for too long. Butter sauce in the dish had coagulated and mussels were rubbery. I had the bay shrimp omelette (a brunch special) and I'm not kidding it was THE WORST omelette I've EVER had. Dry, flavorless, sad. I choked down half of it. My fiancé ordered the NY strip steak, asked for it medium and it came ruby red raw inside. Had to send it back. By then, we both lost our mojo for the brunch. SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE: Everyone seemed out of sync, not refilling our drinks, took forever to get our bill run, my fiancé took our bill to the bar himself. The server was frazzled and we literally had to keep flagging people down throughout the meal. We wanted to like this place, but sadly can't. For the prices, service, meat cooking, appetizer temperatures and a basic omelette should be flawless. All were pretty bad. We won't be back. read more

Our food was exceptional and the service was top notch. We inadvertently arrived close to closing time. The staff was so accomodating and freindly that we didnt realize our error until all the other patrons left shortly after we placed our order. We received our order promptly. I had the cauliflower steak, the other 2 guests had the walleye and the brisket. The portions were generous enough that we were fully satisfied that evening and had enough for lunch the next day. Worst service I've had, the beertender couldn't even truly greet us. We waited at least 5 minutes to be greeted while we were sitting at the bar. We ordered the pork belly, which came highly recommended by the beertender. It was so chewy it was barely edible. It was hard for my girlfriend and I to even decide if we wanted to try their primerib. We asked for it medium rare and it came out medium well, the flavor wasn't bad but at the price we should get the primerib cooked to the temperature we requested. We asked to talk to the chef and even he said it was medium, which is not what we ordered. We told Jay this isn't what we expected, he told us "get the fuck out of my restaurant or will we call the police". He then threatened me and said he would "beat the shit or of me outside". In all my years I've never experienced this from a pompous chef, but Jay takes the cake! Ambiance is great but for Ketchum prices it's a huge pass. read more
