We spent a few days in sun valley for spring break this year and had quite a few places lined out to eat. Village station was first on our list for dinner our first night. We have three kids from 3-8 and it was perfect. If your looking for a great family place in sun valley this is the spot. There food was terrific. The bread sticks may have been the best I have ever had. I have allot of breadsticks people....so don't take that statement lightly. It was a surprise for sure, but they are amazing. The entrees were great. My wife loves her pasta and the kids really liked the items off the kids menu. It was so good for our family we ended up eating here again our last night. Our second round here we got the family sized Caesar salad which fed all of us easily, and a pizza. Both were very good. The croutons were on point, the Caesar dressing was legit, just great all around. I do feel like they try and heard people in and out. They are quick to take plates and I did have to stop them more than once on items we weren't finished with. Aside from that it was great. Highly recommended and what I believe to be the best family restaurant in the walkable sun valley resort area. Give it a go and Eat up Boise! read more

My mom, my sister, and I went to the village station knowing that it would be crowded but we were pleasantly surprised with a table immediately. The waiter gave us menus and we picked out what we wanted to order. We then waited 30 minutes before deciding to leave then a waiter swooped in and poured us water. We left anyway. The short lady with glasses was are server and she was so unpleasant and made us feel uncomfortable in front of other guests. Not fun at all and it was slow. No need to rush or be rude. I still left a 25% tip, but will never go back and spend my money elsewhere. read more

With a menu that's full of delicious plates, the pizza especially the Baldy pizza is the best. The dough is from a local source and the pizza is one of the best in the valley. Cocktails, beer and wine are all fantastic. Enjoy! read more

There are so many delicious restaurants in Sun Valley/Ketchum. I wouldn't vote for this one as my favorite, but if you ask my 3 kids they all think this is THE best restaurant in the area. The train station ambiance, the food, the friendly service...the love it all! My kids would eat here every night of our trip, but we always reward them with 1 night to Village Station. They've tried a variety of things on the menu and like it all, but all 3 seem very satisfied with the kids ravioli. However, the portion size was a little small for my 11 year old this time around after a 40 mile day skiing Baldy. My husband and I tend to get the grilled chicken salad that has lots of goodness in it; my favorite being the cornbread croutons. On our most recent visit we were waited on by the lovely Zoe, who was extremely patient with our wild animals (I mean children). She also was sweet enough to split the big brownie sundae into 3 servings, which was the perfect size for each kid. And quickly took away the brownie and replaced it with extra ice cream when we thought to ask (after a few bites) if it had nuts in it for our nut allergy child. Oops. Fortunately, we discovered the only nuts in it were ones he wasn't allergic to...to which he asked if Zoe could return his brownie. :) Those staying at the resort (lucky) can charge their meal right to their room. We'll certainly be back since my kids wouldn't let us travel to Sun Valley without a meal here. read more

After 11 hours overnight in the air and then waiting at the airports, I purposely saved myself to eat non airport food until I reached where I was going. So I finally arrived at my destination...and wasn't that hungry! So ended getting crispy chicken wings side for my lunch which came with some veggies. Have to say it was one of the better wings I've had in a while! Freshly made, piping hot, crispy skin, juicy inside, and there were about half dozen sauces to choose from. My travel companions elected pizzas, which were really good too...and pretty big! A nice selection of beers to choose from! Next day my conference had lunch there so I ended up getting strawberry salad. A green salad with tomatoes and freshly cut strawberries. Sounds like an unlikely combo but was surprisingly good! Outstanding! I stumbled across an ad for Village Station on Instagram and their interior looked beautiful so I looked up the menu online and was surprised that the prices were so reasonable. My husband, my parents and I had dinner here tonight and the food was wonderful. We tried 2 pizzas and split a Caesar salad. Both pizzas were AMAZING. Absolutely hit the spot. Excellent service. Four of us had dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We had the chicken marsala and chicken piccata. Both had flavorful sauces and were very moist. The portions were large which we needed after a long day working up an appetite skiing. The menu has a nice variety of items from sandwiches to salads and Italian food. I always thought this was a tourist-only spot, but the food and service are actually consistently great, so I've become a regular! Alyssa is an awesome bartender - def one of the best in the valley. She's super patient and friendly, and she makes great drinks! Alex, the manager, is probably the best Sun Valley Co food/bev manager. The staff here seem to actually care about the customer's experience. My favorite menu items are the Asian bbq wings, the pappardelle, the burger, and the mushroom pizza. Visited this place a few times in the last two years while staying at the Lodge cause it's new to the Sun Valley Village. First I want to say that the service could not be better, and all the staff, including the greeters, are very very friendly. The food is no less amazing. I recommend the Spaghetti with meatballs, with the side of delicious bread it comes with. I also love their cheeseburgers, and their chicken wings with the tasty Asian bbq sauce. Really all the food is great at Village Station. My family and I have never left unhappy. We even got take out so we could watch the game in our room one time, and that was perfect too. Still working out the kinks but this place is pretty good! Came here tonight during the post-Christmas craziness and the place was absolutely packed. We were able to snag to seats at the bar and order dinner / drinks from there. I felt bad because the bartenders were swamped but I'm sure the madness will die down. Food was better than I thought it'd be! The menu options overall are OK, could use a bit more diversity, but the food was great. We ordered the Winter Green salad and the meatball sandwich, both of which were really tasty. Atmosphere is pretty good but the lights (maybe the pendants over the bar) neeeeeed to be dimmed. I understand a brighter atmosphere especially since the place is considered kid-friendly, but it's kind of a buzz kill. 4 out of 5 stars and I'm excited to come back in a few months and see how everything has panned out. read more

We only ordered drinks. First, my martini was very good. However, the mixed drinks were a big disappointment. The Manhattan was sweet, like 7-up or some filler was added. The small glass was only 3/4 full. The vodka cranberry had absolutely no taste of vodka and the color was cranberry red. It just gives me a bad taste in my mouth when I'm paying $19/drink and get such sub-par drinks. read more

Ambiance is lively and active. Tins of bar seats and tv's to keep you engaged. The service is professional and timely. The restaurant is clean and bar like but very welcoming to all ages. We ordered the spinach dip appetizer that is extremely cheesy and garlicky. Super tasty and we recommend it. I ordered the short rib with polenta. The beef was braised perfectly. Super tender. The polenta was flavored very well with tomatoes and mushrooms. If you are looking for a good meal, a great vibe, a tasty beverage, and a good experience, I would recommend you stop by. What a great find! Didn't even know this place existed until a SV staff member mentioned it, but the food, atmosphere and service are so good that I really wish we had known a lot sooner. The manager, Alex, is a great guy who runs the place to perfection, and clearly his staff are happy to be working for him which is really nice to see, and it shows in their work. I had the chicken picatta and could have ordered the same thing every night of the week it was so good. Their salmon salad was similarly fantastic. Only way to see swine list was to use your iPhone (I don't have) and pull it up yourself. Mildly irritated at that, I just got up and went to the bartender who flippantly tolde the same thing. I have been visiting Sun Valley for over 7 years and was very excited when I found out a new Sports Bar was going in on the resort. I did love the food at the Village Station however the service was horrible. Only in Sun Valley can you be asked to be quiet in a sports bar. No swear words were being said and the people I were with had just finished an all day conference. So watching games and having a some drinks was what we wanted to do. However if there are people there who want the place to be silent like all the other restaurants on the property the service staff is more than happy to cater to those people. Instead of moving a group of two sitting at the bar behind our table to a quieter spot where they could enjoy some quieter time away from our group. The staff came over to us and asked our group to be quiet and considerate of everyone else in the place. They could have easily accommodated everyone. I was looking forward to a place that was a little more laid back. I would get my food to go. The meatball sub was amazing and I really enjoyed everything I drank. The salads were good as a meal and the burger is juicy and huge. I had to cut the hamburger in half to eat it. I wish I had better service when I visited. read more

Update because I did eat here during a Seahawks game and the food was better than pictured. The pasta with butter and sage was super yummy but will leave u with a tummy ache later in the day.
