Bison potpie with perfectly delicious crust, side of braised greens with the most perfectly cooked buttery mushrooms
    Ava S.

Dinner at Timbers at Bigwood Golf Course was one of those meals where every course was a hole in one. Starting with a cocktail, a perfect Old Fashion, and ending with the Rhubarb Semifreddo Shortcake (do not not order this). To start, we had the bread (homemade and warm), chilled prawns, and the romaine salad - highly highly recommended - garlic yogurt dressing with two little Parmesan waffles on top! Our favorite mains were the steak with a delicious potatoe au gratin and the bison pot pie (wow) with a side of braised greens with the most insanely buttery mushroom on top. The pot pie was delicious, hearty, with the flakiest pastry top. Recommended by the waiter, the roasted carrots were surprisingly one of our favorite dishes of the night. We finished with the pot de creme, a velvety rich chocolate that included a peanut butter graham (yes peanut butter) and marshmallow, and did I mention the Rhubard Semifreddo with stawberry jam and shortcake? Yes order that! To top it all off, the atmosphere was incredible. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered spectacular views of the golf course and the surrounding mountain ranges. The only place to go to see the sun set! The prices are unbeatable, the service warm and friendly, and the food an absolute treat! Cant wait to go back for the lobster roll!

Chocolate pot de Crème ...delicious !

We had a shocking experience at The Covey on Valentine's Day…read more We made a reservation for 8 well in advance. The day of, they called to say they could only seat 6 and would not offer any alternative, including splitting into two tables of 4. When we said we would rather cancel to stay together as a group, we were told we would be charged $100 per person if we did not show. We came in before our reservation to try to resolve it in person and spoke with both the manager and the owner, Jesse. Instead of working toward a solution, we were met with a dismissive and hostile tone and again threatened with the $100 per person charge. At our reservation time, 6 of us showed as requested. We were then told they had given our table away because they assumed "we wouldn't have a good time and would leave a one-star review." They would not confirm whether we would still be charged. When my husband and I calmly asked for a written note confirming their system only showed a reservation for 6 so we could take it up with Resy if needed, the manager yelled at us in front of the entire restaurant, demanded we leave, and threatened to call the police. Whether this was a Resy issue or an internal mistake, the way we were treated was unacceptable. We ended up at Enoteca instead and had a wonderful meal with warm, gracious service. A much better choice.

Service was poor. Pretentious place with a great atmosphere! Catering to the rich ($225 steaks)…read more Based on how we were talked to, just ordered two pasta dishes, $100, very tasty! Asked what a sun choke was and got a lecture. Would have walked out, but they have a charge of $100 per person to cancel a reservation ( posted on line). Never got a refill of water or an inquiry from our server on how the meal was going. Bread would have gone well with the meal.

We stayed during ski season and here are the things I was most happy with (in no particular order): * The said it was a continental breakfast so I wasn't expecting all they offered like fresh local bagels and pastries, fresh berries, cut up pineapple, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, a very high quality granola, oatmeal with all the fixings, a pancake machine, juices, coffees with syrups and milks, lots of high quality tea choices, scrabbled eggs allow and with some mix-ins sometimes cheese or veggie, hard boiled eggs, meat like bacon sausage patties or links, sometime or potato like hash brown patties or shedded hash browns, roasted veggies, and on the weekend days they offered salmon with capers and onions. Plus flavored yogurts in individual containers and whole fruit like apples, oranges, and bananas. * humidifiers in the room. The hotel is so dry. We live at elevation in Park City, UT but Ketchum is drier! We ran the humidifier on high constantly but it was so great they offered this in the room. * they have a parking garage. It is $30/day AND there are easy access free spots around the hotel, but I imagine during peak season the offered parking is best. And it's covered so your car will be snow-free! * the heated pool for year round enjoyment (and two hot tubs). The air was too cold for my liking (because you have to get out eventually). * pretty decent gym with peloton bikes. * oh and the restaurant happy hour seems to be a hit with hotel guests and locals. The one huge downside was because it's so dry and they don't have a humidifier installed for the hotel, we got static shocked every time we touched the elevator buttons or unlocking our room. And it hurt! And when you're in town, I recommend the city museum, the wolf museum, the library, and the cemetery. And if the pedestrian paths are snow-free then head down Sun Valley Road.

A gem of a hotel in Ketchum. Beautifully appointed rooms, good food, and great amenities…read more(refillable water bottles, comfy robes, ski storage, and heated outdoor pool/hot tubs) are complimented by a super staff.
