So much bigger!!!! I'm a big fan of Trader Joe's - go to the Easton location on a weekly basis, so I wanted to check this location out to see if they carry anything different/usual compared to the other one. I think this store carry's pretty much all the same stuff when it comes to the Fresh produce, cheeses, sauces and dips, and frozen items, but there are more aisles of pantry staples and dry foods, so there may be a bit more variety here? Not positive, I didn't get a chance to peruse that area, just a visual guess. Meat and poultry section seems bigger here, note to self; also more dried and smoked meats/fish. Needless to say, I wish there was a Trader Joe's closer to the south/southeast area, but beggars can't be choosers. read more

I am middle aged and K had never shopped at Trader Joe's. This past week I decided I wanted to try something different, I went around the corner and visited my local Trader Joe's. I have been back there three times already. The store, the prices, quality and the people who work there are nothing short of amazing. I love this place. My Mom is elderly and she was struggling with holding her groceries. One of the employees noticed this and without asking, ran and got her a cart, but not before she dropped almost everything on the floor. This man put his hand up to stop her from picking up the groceries and said, "Mam, I will get this for you" and picked it up and put it in the cart. The gentleman made my Mom's day, and she talked about him the whole ride home and while we were eating dinner Five star, class A company and people. read more

Okay, so this place and Whole Foods are our go to store for cheese :). What is really impressive about this Trader Joe's (besides its pricing) is the incredibly friendly service you get. I've been coming here for the past 9 years and haven't had one mediocre experience. We come here for cheese, fruits and vegetables, some of their sausages, nuts, snacks, and off the wall items. Plus they have a nice selection of Indian and Asian frozen lunch box type of foods that are very convenient. Their chocolates ain't too bad either :). They also have a decent selection of hummus and baba ghanoush, and they are usually showcasing something new at the back. We picked up creamed kale from there recently, and contrary to what you may think, it was delicious! read more

I have to say, I love this location better than the Easton one. This week was my first time going and I'm glad I did. It's bigger and it looks more Trader Joesy. Lol. When I walked in it just looked like it would be a TJs if that makes sense. I love the selection that they have. It will take time getting use to where everything is in this store since Easton was the only one I ever went to, but that's an easy fix. The employees were TJ approved as usual. Nice and willing to help, especially since I looked lost and couldn't find anything. Ha. The area is a nice one. Busy part of Dublin, but nice. We are big fans of Trader Joe's. We've been shopping at their stores for over ten years and will continue to frequent them in the future. We believe the quality, the pricing and the variety of items they offer is easily better than most other retailers we have found. We've been to both Columbus area stores and tend to go to the one on Sawmill the most. Partly because it's closer to our home but mostly because we just like it a bit more. Been there often enough that a couple of the employees now stop to say hello, which makes the visits even nicer. Here's some tips for shopping there: Always check the New Arrivals shelf. There's usually something unusual there for you to try out. They have a display of Sweets and Desserts that is always worth looking over, as the items will change with the season. The "Everything But The Bagel" seasoning in the Spice area is great for dinners. Try adding it to Skinless/Boneless Chicken Thighs or Boneless Pork Chops! Close to the Pasta area, you'll find packages of Dried Cherry Tomatoes, which are great when added to any type of pasta sauce or recipe. We use them when making Eggplant Lasagne and other dishes. Also, make sure to check out the wine isle, the cheese selections and the great produce they have in stock. These items can change or disappear, for many reasons (the season, the availability...) but there are always new things to find and try. The staff is happy to help or answer any questions you might have. They have even let us taste a few things. As an example, my wife was curious to know how some new flavored popcorn tasted and the person we talked to simply opened the bag and let her try it. She liked it, so we bought some! Hey Trader Joe's, if you read this, please consider opening a new location in Hilliard, Ohio! If I had one word to describe Trader Joe's, I would say 'trustworthy'. Trader Joe's products, in general, are affordable. I would also say their qualities are up there. I haven't yet tasted one of their products and said, " Yuck, this taste like chemicals." I'm always down to try their new products cause they always end up great for me. It's also very comforting how they let you sample any of their products. I specifically love this location because every time I shop here ( which is like once or twice a week), I never felt not welcomed. Feels like the staff really do out a lot of their efforts to their customers. I've been to one other location which was in Easton, and I wouldn't say they were unfriendly, but I wouldn't say I felt very welcomed ( but then again I've only been there once). If you're looking for pretty good quality food products that are affordable, then I would say any Trader Joe's = double thumbs up. But I specifically like this one because with their great products, the staffs over here are also filled with friendly comforting people. read more

God, I love Trader Joe's. The quality of frozen food here is unbeatable. In the years I've been shopping at Trader Joe's, I've only been disappointed in the French onion soup. The frozen chicken potstickers are better/just as good compared to what I've had from restaurants in Columbus. There's always a great selection of seasonal products. Everything from grab-and-go sandwiches to produce to cheap flowers -- Trader Joe's has you covered. My dog loves the seasonal dog treats. He went through a box of pumpkin treats, and we just opened a box of cranberry/turkey treats. For a small store, they have a decent variety of pet food/supplies. I don't drink wine but there's an entire isle dedicated to wine. The "two buck chuck" (actually $3.99) is a cheap, popular brand. I don't do all of my shopping at Trader Joe's, but you'll always find something new and interesting to try. read more

I love this location. The food is fresh and fairly priced. Yesterday, due to myown fault, the manager ended up having to check me out, my card had declined. Lol. Needed to trf funds. Anyhow, he didn't make me feel bad about it, at all. I am also battling cancer and mentioned to him my brain just isn't working thanks to cheno. He was an angel...picked me out flowers and gave me both a hug and the flowers....that absolutely made my day! Thank u again! I feel customer service is EVERYTHING! This is a great Trader Joe's! Friendly service, good produce, beautiful flowers, and fabulous dark chocolate peanut butter cups. Often crowded, especially the parking lot, but that's the way it goes. One of the employees once went really out of her way to find us a spicy sauce we wanted and a cashier once wisely recognized a to-go snack and after she rung it up she handed it to me so I could put it in my purse. The bagging is better than most stores and they have good paper bags with handles. Honestly never been disappointed with this Trader Joe's. The only reason we drive by without stopping in is if there's a visible line out the door. read more

We **LOVED** Trader Joe's when we lived in Boston for almost 10 years before moving to Toronto. Every year we visit family in Columbus Ohio, we make sure we make that one trip and pick up our favourite "Trade Joe's goodies". But not anymore. This is not the place I do my regular grocery shopping, but I was here to find a particular specialty item. I had tried some fabulous little macaroons at a catered event in December. The pistachio flavor especially enticed me! The server putting out the desserts didn't know where they came from, though, so I thought the chances of ever finding more were slim. Fast forward to January at my office holiday party potluck, and I was surprised to find these same little macaroons there! And the box was sitting off to the side. After investigating, I discovered these little beauties came from Trader Joe, sold under the "Trader Jacques" name, since they're French desserts. Fortunately, I noticed on the box that it said to keep frozen, or I might have had trouble locating them in the store. As it was I found them pretty quickly, and also discovered various boxes with different flavor assortments. I picked up the box with the famous pistachio flavor and another box with several chocolate and coffee flavors. They are $4.99 for a box of 12. These cookies are tiny, so it's a bit pricey, but they are so good!! read more

Two words: pumpkin croissants!!!! If, like me, you stock up on everything pumpkin to enjoy autumnal goodness all year long - then get to TJ's right now! They are offering samples of warm pumpkin croissants with pumpkin butter! Amazing! The croissants come frozen, then you let them sit out overnight to rise and they'll be ready to enjoy in the morning. Seriously, stock up, they're that good. I love Trader Joe's for what they do best - frozen foods. TJ's will never be my one-stop grocery store. Instead, I find myself there about once a month to fill my freezer with prepared foods. You can't go wrong with their frozen Indian dinners! A word of warning on the bread aisle - most breads are preservative free. If you can't eat it in a day or two, then skip it. If not, you'll find yourself disappointed a few days later to find moldy pitas. read more

The parking lot is terrifying but once you're inside, it's a treasure trove of grocery fun. I picked up so many delicious items, many actually cheaper than what I was buying at my usual grocery store. There are also more (obvious) options for healthier choices, including non-meat patties. I don't know if I would purchase meat here (a little more expensive than a typical grocery store) but I stocked up on unique frozen items. Bring your own bag and you'll be entered to win a gift card. Love Trader Joes's and this store is right in par. This location is a little difficult to find their parking lot, but once you find it it's not that hard. This Dublin/Columbus store is bigger than ones I've shopped in IL. Everything is laid out in a good order and the aisles are wide and easy to navigate. Cant find something? Jus asked a friendly team member and they will do their best to help you. Don't forget to stop by the sample desk in the back right corner of the store. read more

I love this little grocery store! I wish a location were closer to my house when I can I like to come in here and get whatever catches my eye. I feel as if this place is more affordable than Whole Foods although not as big or with as much of a selection. Don't let that discourage you from check this little gem out though. They have some pretty good deals with the things they put on sale and I like the different snacks they carry here. One of the things that really rocks about this place is they have a selection of wines for under 3 dollars( referred to as Two Buck Chuck) that are actually pretty damn good! I also like the selection of frozen foods. They have their own store brand that's cheaper than the other ones and so far when I've tried them they are of great quality, not generic seeming at all! Tip: getting into this parking lot can be annoying and confusing. Trader Joe's never disappoints. I love, love, love the frozen foods section here. Seriously. If you cranked up portion size and served them on china, one might believe they came from a great restaurant's catering division. Yep, they are that good. I am a particular fan of the Indian cuisine (butter chicken, chicken tikka masala) but their potstickers, tamales, pizzas and countless other items are great too. I highly recommend picking yourself up a package of garlic naan and a package of the spinach artichoke dip (both located in the frozen foods section) it'll be the best $5 you ever spent on an appetizer (or a quick & easy dinner). I pinky swear. My rule thumb at TJ's...if it looks good, grab it; chances are high it will taste just as good! Great selection of wines at very low prices! You can actually get a great bottle of wine for less than $8. A personal favorite of mine is a Western Cape, South African Sebeka Shiraz 2009. It's got berry, dark cherry earthy undertones with subtle notes of brown spices, cinnamon and toasted oak. The staff is always very friendly and politely conversational. They genuinely want to help you and I think that's fantastic. I don't do all of my grocery shopping at TJ's, as this is shared amongst numerous specialty markets, butcher shops, farmers markets and general grocery stores but, I do go for their frozen foods, wine & fresh flowers. Oh my goodness. My safe haven ;-) We all know how great Trader Joe's is. This is now my go-to location (simply because I like stopping at Chick-fil-a on the way back ;-) So here are my simple tips, go-to's, and yummy suggestions: 1) Get a cart, but follow the flow of the store, don't go every which way. THERE IS A METHOD..... down an aisle up the other way...no back and forth please. That annoys me. And if you aren't buying wine - get a basket if you aren't purchasing too much! 2) Skip the sushi... or get from the WAAAYYYY back, it's fresher. Same goes for their salads and wraps. Be warned: not all are tasty... but fresher is better. Especially with the sushi. (it isn't the best, and that one or two days makes a HUGE difference. 3) Grab some flowers. They are inexpensive and can last forever in a vase! Perfect for the kitchen table! 4) Don't buy bread if you are only feeding one or two people. No preservatives = moldy fast. Or freeze it after every use! Same goes with fruit. Use it that night or for the next morning! 5) Get the seasonal items...pumpkin this, pumpkin that...go crazy! From yogurt to bread to pancakes to seeds to soup to spice.... cannot go wrong! :) 6) CASES AND CASES OF WINE! Get it now! Delicious sparkling reds I can GUZZLE! Omgsh, yum. Perfect wines.... I generally only buy from TJ's or World Market! And Two-Buck Chuck? Yes please.... Now... my all-time favorite items (in no particular order): Chicken (no antibiotics, organic...amazing) Cheeses! Seriously... all of them. Palan Paneer Frozen items! Sweet Potato Gnocchi, Mac n Cheese, Mahi Mahi, Desserts, Pastas, Egg rolls... seriously go crazy. Went here looking for mint leaves and blood oranges.....they had neither. Went to Whole Foods and got the mint leaves and Fresh Market had blood oranges. On the way out the door a clerk stopped me to ask if I found everything I was looking for. When I told him no he guaranteed me that they had mint leaves and went looking. So this is where I do most of my shopping. It's a nice size, the staff are always insanely friendly (like really, most people would go insane if they were this nice all the time), and unless I'm looking for something highly specialized, I can usually find what I need. My mother swears that all Trader Joe's stores must deliberately be built in the absolute worst parking situations possible. While there may be something to that, I've never actually had trouble parking at this one. Still, the parking lot is not the easiest to get into if you're coming from the south, so here's my tip: If you're coming north on Sawmill, turn left onto Martin Rd before you reach 161. Take the first right onto Marcy Ln, and from there you'll be able to see which driveway to turn in on. After I discovered that, it became a much easier place to visit. Although the parking lot is big enough even on the busy days, it can still get crowded on the inside of the store, so adjust your expectations accordingly. While you can pick up most standard shopping items, it's the special TJ's stuff that earns the store its fandom. I like to find at least one new item from the New Products endcap (facing the produce, at the end of the aisle with nuts on one side and juices on the other) each time I go. I've discovered all sorts of stuff that way, from basics like lentil soup to the new and intriguing like salmon jerky. Also, keep an eye out for the speculoos cookie butter, especially the crunchy variety. It is phenomenal. It's the consistency of peanut butter but tastes like cookies. You can eat it straight out of the jar, but be careful -- you can get through half of it without realizing where it went. The legendary Two Buck Chuck (aka Charles Shaw wine) is actually $3.79 per bottle these days, at least at this location (the TJ's website explains that markups are almost always due to state and local laws), but it's perfectly decent stuff. And they have stuff for the furballs, too. I recently discovered they have tuna for cats for half a buck a can. My critter loves licking up the tuna-flavored water from ordinary tuna cans, but he doesn't normally eat wet food or the tuna itself. The TJ's tuna for cats, however, he simply devours. Oh, and chocoholics, don't skip the chocolate aisle. Ok, so it's actually the frozen aisle, but to me it's the chocolate aisle. Look up on the top set of shelves above the freezers. There's almost as much chocolate as there is frozen food. Chocolate-covered nuts, chocolate-covered dried fruits, chocolate-covered mints, chocolate-covered peanut butter, chocolate-covered chocolate! Chips, bars, bigger bars, jumbo-sized bars, milk, dark, omgyumz. This is the kind of store where, if I didn't live within a reasonable distance from it, I'd still make special trips just to come. I know people who do that. A couple times a year, they drive two hours just to pack up on wine and cookie butter and Mint Joe-Joe's (special seasonal cookies only available in the winter -- think mint-flavored Oreos) and coffee blends and juices and other tasty noms. When I visit my dad and stepmom in the middle of NY state, I make a stop at TJ's to bring them some of the new stuff. You may not become as obsessed with it as some of us are, but you'll surely come away with some happy find for your tastebuds. read more

Stopped in to pick up a case of Charles Shaw for Thanksgiving and found PIES! They were serving samples of the pumpkin and it was delicious. I picked up a Pumpkin Pie for $5. And a Pecan Pie for $8. Jon and I already ate the Pumpkin and it's two days before Thanksgiving. read more

Trader Joe's stores are small ...really small. If you've never been in one prepare to practice patience for all the aisles and departments are tight. The vast majority of product is private label but don't let that throw you. The majority of it so high quality at very reasonable prices it's sometimes unbelievable. They also make the holidays fun with traditional, themed items like Pumpkin Waffle Mix for fall and salted caramels (which seem to be everywhere now) for winter. Sign up for the monthly mailer and email for all the details. Compared to the location at Easton Mall this store has about the same variety. I will say they half double, if not close to triple the amount of beer. Wine seems to be the same amount though. Layout's definitely different as is the parking. This Dublin TJ's shares a parking lot with other small businesses so there's always ample parking, even when I was there at a very busy Saturday afternoon. Easton's location shares as well but with the mall being right there parking's really tight. Granted, both are almost on two different sides of the city but if I had a choice I'd go Dublin. read more

If this place wasn't so damn far away I'd go there AAAAALL the time. I still rely on good ol' Kroger the most because they have everything there and certainly are affordable. Given that I don't eat squid or bold things like that I can only speak from a price/ service issue. (I am a pretty un-adventurous eater and won't just buy something I have no idea how to prepare or have ever tried prior.) EVERY time I go to TJ's I get the most amazing service and the staff is so pleasant. Going at the 'wrong' times though can get me to near-anxiety-attack heights with the lack of spacing in the aisles and the general smallness of the store itself. I went the other day around 10 AM and it was perfect! I will stick with that from here on out... On another note, I love the mix and match wine case option and the discount it brings. I am no wine snob so I usually load up on the Vinho Verde (a delicious Portuguese wine that is approx 60/20 white/red) and Two-Buck Chuck and am on my way. What a dandy deal! I love TJ's!! ps. I love Trader Joe's, in general. I think that their business model seems more logical than most of corporate America (although I dobt that all business could function this way). I especially love that their store policies and their prices encourage people to try foods that they may not have even known existed previous to their trip there. No, it's not a place where you can get all of your shopping done. Still, It makes eating and drinking fun! As far as Columbus goes, I like this location better than the Easton one, which is always crowded and often out of the items I need. I suspect that the two are connected. in any case, the Dublin market does a good job of upholding the fine Trader Joe's name. Because it's less crowded than the Easton one, the employees are also more accessible, willing to chat, or find out if your favorite product is just temporarily out of stock, or tragically lost to the world. I sympathize with Katie's disappointment about some of my favorite west coast foods being unavailable, but that's the problem with perishable foods. My main gripe about products unavailable here versus in other locations is the alcohol selection, of course. However, that is the fault of Ohio's crazy legislation about "spirits." Did you know that there is a list (!) not just of liquors but of all alcohols allowed to be sold? That means that wines sold in other TJ locations often cannot be sold in Ohio, because they are not on the list. Ugh... read more

I love this store. I am constantly discovering new products. The employees are great. I try not to go during busy times (weekends) because it is small, but it is such a treat when I do. I especially love the 99 cent greeting cards. Awesome. I only wish there were more stores in Columbus. read more
