Oooh, we are gettin' so fancy here in Bexley with a grocery store of our very own! No, that Kroger doesn't count. Just no. This Market District Express is a smaller, two-story, more neighborhood-y type of concept store instead of the other behemoths in town. While I certainly miss the never-ending selection of those bigger stores, I actually love having a place where I can quickly and easily run in to buy food for dinner and get right out. The layout of the store is hit-and-miss. The first floor is good, but ooooh that second floor... it's rough. First, let's talk about the elevator. I've been to lots of two-story markets in other cities and countries, and they use cart elevators to efficiently get everyone where they need to go. But not us -- we have a single elevator that causes so much commotion and confusion. My other big irk with the second floor is that damn restaurant. If it were spectacular, I wouldn't be angry that it's taking up 1/4 of the store. But it's not. Side note: In the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the Giant Eagle CEO declared The Table was the best restaurant in the Columbus area. She probably shouldn't have done that. While the selection at this MDE isn't grandiose, what I really appreciate is how they are constantly getting new products that the customers want. I'm also really pleased with the gluten-free selection! The prices here are ridiculous. Period. The star of the Bexley MDE is the people. They are outstanding! I'm in here 3-4 times/week, and every single person is incredibly friendly and helpful. I also love how efficient they are -- there's never a long wait, and the cashiers are fast. The entire staff is always out and about and are eager to assist -- no one is running away or shiftily dodging their eyes away from you. So, there are some ups and downs with the MDE, but in the end, I have a fab grocery store at the end of my street!

Great place to do some local grocery shopping in Bexley. I also like the restaurant upstairs. Nice bar as well.

Latest feature here is now with less cashiers and more self checkouts. Location is the best thing going here. Poor service, can never get an employee to help, and who know where the deli employees are half the time. Floors are dirty and still the worst parking lot ever from drivers trying to get in and out, to parking lot chaos and folks just parking right in front or making their own spaces. Also there are solicitors in the lot most of the time, and sometimes a few that sneak into the store approaching you with a story or mission. Final though is the failure to keep the parking lot clear and bring cars back in the store for customers. It really is one of the worst but if you need gas, prescriptions, and groceries in one place and it is a good option if you can handle the store. Just hate that this constantly over the years is the best they can do.

I was not familiar with Bexley Natural Market but saw from the Too Good Eats website that the market carried them so off I went exploring. Parkign lot is limited and that area of Cassady Avenue was a little busy but I was able to get in and out ok and find a spot to park. The staff interaction was ok but REALLY missed an opportunity to sell the market and what they are about. I had asked about the membership and the bland explanations really didn't say much at all and the interaction was not very inviting and kind of dismissive. I would have been happy that some new traffic came in and showed an interest. Anyway, the market offers all kinds of items from produce, vegan options, natural drinks, and grocery items. It appears the main focus is supporting local farmers and vendors in the area. I will come back and take another look around but was super happy they had the drinks I liked. If interested- I found online that the membersip is $30 one-time payment and annual dues of $45 that provides 5% to 8% off and monthly coupons & promotions valued at $100 a year in savings. They also offer member-only events and activities. I found out more about the store from their website, if interested, you can check them out at www.bexleynatrualmarket.org.

This is a grocery store first, plenty of options, from household items to produce and meat. TAQUERIA second. You can order food to go at the regular checkout counter or ask to dine in. We dined in for our first time. All tables were empty. We started with waters. Which they went into the grocery store and grabbed two CORE waters. We then received the complementary chips and salsa. Salsa good, had a nice spicy kick to it. The tortilla chips seem to be stale and both my daughter and I didn't eat very many. I ordered a house margarita which was deliciously made and didn't taste like it came from a cheap pre made syrup. Menu stated $8.99. With $2.25 tacos you can't beat it. ESPECIALLY if the tacos meat is cooked perfectly and is so juicy. Cilantro & onion on top. Paired with cucumbers, lime, a charred jalapeno & sauteed onions too. Great tacos period. The salsa Verde was delicious I think it may have some avocado in it. They had a kids quesadilla which my daughter enjoyed. The Rice paired with it was fluffy and flavorful. We enjoyed our meal outside the stale chips. Even though we dined in we had to pay at the front register where you buy groceries. We ended up waiting about 10-15 minutes before getting to pay with the line of people with bags of groceries that only had one clerk. 2 CORE waters 1 house lime margarita 9 tacos 1 kids Quesadilla =$43 We will take out next time and see what the price is. The Fancy Core waters may have resulted the overpay.

So I was a little taken back you got a little bit of everything in this location is really small. And the parking is terrible but what can you expect for downtown? I had to take my ticket inside and if you purchased something from one of the vendors, they have to give you a QR code for the parking garage and it's two dollars for parking. We had Indian food and the food was delicious. The young lady behind the counter was so nice. She let us taste the chicken before purchasing our meals. The food in the North market is expensive. It was almost $40 for two people to eat. Then we had Jennie's ice cream afterwards and it was $15 for two scoops of ice cream. Customer service was great as all the vendors were awesome and explained everything to us. Is this something that I would do again know just because of the parking and most of the restaurants inside of Markette is not something that I would normally eat very clean. There is a second floor for you to sit. I don't know if they had an elevator. I didn't see one, but I know there are stairs to the second floor. Very busy long lines and you feel like you have to rush to order something because all lines were so long.
