Like so many other terrible corner stores out there they have a credit card minimum of five dollars therefore I refuse to shop there or give them any of my business. This practice is against the contracts that they sign with the credit card companies when they agreed to accept them as a form of payment. If they are willing to allow me to walk out the door without purchasing anything just because they want to save a two pennies on the dollar in swipe fees I will take my business elsewhere. I'm not going to buy more things just so I can use my credit card nor am I going to take out $20 from an ATM machine just so I can pay for something with cash that is less than five dollars. More consumers need to start taking a stance against this practice. If you are willing to accept credit cards you need to be prepared to accept them for any transaction. read more

It has some useful stuff, some stuff thickly caked in dust and over priced, I went on one evening for batteries like I said over priced and caked in dust and just felt pretty awkward in there. I did come in with a fever so maybe it was the delirium? Either way, not coming back unless I really really don't want to drive anywhere else. read more

A cool place to stop in to grab your soda, milk, cigs, beer, and maybe even a bottle of wine (nothing fancy, but if you like yellowtail and such it's here). There's a good enough selection of beer that you don't have to be stuck with "macro swag", but you know they have it for those of you who can't get enough of that bud, pbr, or beast, so don't you fret my swaggy friends ;-) and of course there are various other convenience store items available, but mostly this is the beer and cigs store for the locals. So if you live near by and need another 6pack take the short drive, ride, walk, or run to the quarry market, you'll be there and back by the time you just get across the river. read more

Love the guys in here. So friendly and surprisingly remember my face (sometimes name) after routine trips to pick up wine on nights when my Bf is balls deep into his sports. They put real sweat into fixing up the place with a nicer floor and wine/beer fixtures and cooler. Quick and convenient and well-priced for anyone over at The Quarry/Runaway Bay/Marblecliff (need a beer run? It's walkable from any of those places so no need to get in the car). 4 stars only bc they could use a little better snack selection or maybe coffee bar etc., to be more of a convenient store. Glad this place is here, hope it stays as long as I'm in Grandview and stuck watching sports every day. Also, Fifth Third ATM outside which is so nice for the small minority of us that aren't Chase customers! read more

Whenever I'm missing an ingredient for dinner, this is where I (or the boy) go. It may be just a convenience store, but I have yet to come across an ingredient that they don't have. Prices are more than what you'd find at a grocery store, but when you live at Runaway Bay or the Quarry & need something fast, this is your place. read more
