I came into Tracy Ford this morning at 8:30 for my 9 o'clock appointment. I left at 1:30 but I had a recall so I already expected to stay a couple hours which was fine with Me. My customer service rep was very nice. She kept me updated. She offered me a Shuttle to go get lunch which I declined service was great. Customer service is great. Tony was a good sales guy. Definitely recommend. Sales manager is really nice. (Tall guy with slick back hair) Pretty sure finance or sales manager is where they got me at the end. But it was late and i was too excited. (My fault) but do your due diligence. They didn't honor handshake and deal we made. They added on extras after we had agreed to 32,000 plus taxes, titles, and fees. It is the whole reason i walked back in the dealership, because we agreed on a price. But it is finance, wasn't my sales guy's fault. 172 point inspection doesn't mean much. Refill fluids. But tires were dry rotted on sides. Brakes and rotors were not changed per their own service manual. I will say that they fixed and balanced my tires when i brought up the issue. (After their "inspection" ) Service department told me that they weren't able to let me see inspection report ... the place where the mechanics do the inspection... I just wanted to see rotor and brake life, but yeah. That didn't make much sense. But they were still nice. read more

On a Friday driving through Tracy on our way to WA our RV engine light came on. We went to Firestone and were told there was a problem but they had no appointments to look at it until Monday. Went to Ford up the street and Shannon was so awesome. She made no promises of it being done today but at least they could look and see the issue and go from there. When it comes to service/repairs here at Tracy Ford, it's the AMAZING level of customer service that makes me drive all the way down there from where I live in Livermore (avoiding Livermore Ford like the plague!), rather than taking my business to our much-closer Ford dealership for anything at all! I just now had my 2nd service experience with Tracy Ford, both of which have been for MAJOR engine services, and, as before, I was NOT disappointed! As had been my previous experience with them, upon arrival I was heartily greeted by everyone I interacted with, including having two techs simply open the doors for me as I entered the building! After that, the Service Writer, "Shannon", greeted me with smiles and friendliness, and then kept in constant touch with me during the entire 9 days that they had the car! She also offered me a free rental car (which I didn't need this time), and, once the major repairs were completed, she had my car DRIVEN BACK TO MY HOME (25 minutes away from their shop)... so as to not "inconvenience" me! As someone who has tried to deal with my more local Livermore Ford, for minor service and repairs... I was always frustrated with them because the most they would give you was a shuttle ride home (and sometimes you had to wait an hour before they took you and others out). Ask for a rental car? Nope, they made zero effort to even arrange for one at YOUR expense, much less provide you one at no cost. As you can see, these are just some of the reasons I will always go out of my way to use Tracy Ford for any of my service or repair needs... BUYERS BEWARE! BAIT & SWITCH!! First I thought that Michael, the first salesperson i dealt with, had problems with helping me. But when i later met the slicked-back-hair sales manager, I realized they are cut from the same cloth. Both rude and with chips on their shoulders. For some reason it seemed that they really didn't want to sell me a car. They thought that since they paid too much money for the car that I should too. Even on the sheet they gave me with costs, they had a separate column showing (lying?) to me about how much they paid. I waited for their overpriced used car came down to a reasonable price. It got to below the price I had verbally offered, but at which Michael had blown me off. Did he call me when the price came down? Of course not. I called and discussed the price with George, another sales rep. I asked what the fees would be to purchase the car. He told me some sort of safeguard for $1495; I told him I didn't want it, but he said I had to have it since it was installed, but he could probably get it for me at cost. I went in with every intention to purchase the car, but rather than have the additional fees be around $400, they wanted to charge me over $1800! They were charging $1495 for the unwanted safeguard and said I also had to pay $300 for an etched catalytic converter that I didn't want etched. (None of this was itemized... probably to avoid some legal repercussions.) Go somewhere else and deal with friendlier and honest people. I called a number of dealerships, and they don't force you to purchase unwanted add on options. I bought what I wanted at the Dixon Ford for what bluebook said was a great price, from great people. (Oh, and if I had wanted them to etch my catalytic converter, it would have been $95.) read more

I'm a little indifferent about this Ford as I've dealt with Ford in Santa Clara and never has any issues. We came in 4th of July weekend to check out the sale. I do like the fact that there weren't vultures out front trying to trap us into a sale. Our sales team was fantastic, they worked with us and gave us time to talk and really think about our choices. I wish I knew our salesmans name because he was really a great sales person who listened when we told him what we were looking for and didn't just talk to my husband since I was the one who would be making the purchase. He really paid great attention which was crucial in our decision making. Our finance guy was just as amazing (tall guy). He worked with me and the price point we were looking at as I didn't want to go too much higher than the payment I currently had for my Highlander. The reason for the 3 stars is the final pen stroke and the aftermath that followed. The paperwork guy at the end, total egomaniac. We went from smooth and easy to cold and cheesy. This guy rushed us through signing and didn't give me the chance to look through any of the paperwork. On a large purchase, I wanted to take my time and review everything that was being discussed. Instead he wanted to talk about how he had a Lamborghini blah blah blah. Oh and when it came to selling the extra warranty for electrical (the suv is a hybrid) that would tack on an additional $60 to the payment, he made sure to sell us on that; there he took his time. He made sure to tell us if we want to cancel it, we CAN CANCEL AT ANY TIME. As soon as we left the lot we were able to contact our insurance Co that said they could add the same insurance for electric for only an additional $6 a month. So, like any sane person, we called Tuesday (after the holiday) to cancel that extra warranty, only to find out, we COULD NOT cancel it. Instead, we would just pay less at the end of our contract and the payment wouldn't change. Talk about MISLEADING. I can't tell you how infuriating it felt. We kept telling the guy to put it in writing because as we all know, if it's not in writing, it doesn't exist. He refused every time. That should have been a sign, but we were at the finish line of a long 3 hr marathon. He didn't even give us a brochure or anything to reference when we got home. Made us feel really cheated at the end when this all went down and we had nothing to show for it but this huge car payment, which was fine. Except after a week of having the car, it went into the shop because it needed new shocks or struts or something. The car had issues after a week of having it! We noticed it right at the test drive and we asked if it was used.. the guys assured us it was brand new. The mileage was only at 50 miles and we were told it was just driven to test drive. After only a week of having the car, it would go into the shop. FOR ALMOST 3 WEEKS! We had to get Ford Corporate involved because now I'm feeling like I got a lemon. I had to carpool for most of the time with a bunch of smokers and when I did finally get the rental they provided, it was a sedan and not comparable to the car I just bought, which I'm paying almost 1k a month to have it just sitting at the dealership because they couldn't get the part. When I tell you I feel extremely cheated, I mean it. Not at the beginning, but everything that happened at the end. I know Ford parts department was doing everything they could and Corporate is looking at getting a decision for an exchange of the car (I don't want any more issues). Being without a car I'm paying a ton for, is just problematic. I know Ford as a whole has been great, (minus the paperwork guy). Hopefully your experience here will be better than mine. We can always strive for better, right? I truly appreciate the effort that Ford has put forth, I know the people working there don't have control over how the cars are built or the fact that parts are hard to find when they need them. Today I went to service our car. I have a prepaid maintenance plan and the only issue I had was a burnt turn signal bulb. A few hours later he called me to say my car was serviced but the light bulb was a special order and it would cost me almost $280 to have it replaced and was giving me the opportunity to prepay for this and have it fixed later during the week. Long story short, I went by O'Reilly auto parts, spent $10 bucks and 10 minutes later I was back in business. These guys are scammers or have no idea what they are selling or both. Well well well, the once place I thought was an amazing dealership has an extreme problem. I am unsure how long "Richard" has been working there as a sales manager, however, his poor attitude really needs to go. I highly recommend removing this gentleman. ASAP. I apologize, his name isn't "Richard" however he sure acted as one. He is a younger gentleman, tall, glasses, hairstyle is combed to the side in a modern cut, and he has a beard. Richard fits him because he surly acted like the D word. This person really didn't understand what we went inside for. We were informed by a very kind sales representative that he may be able to wiggle some price down on a 2016 Ford USED Explorer we were looking at. We told him we are on a budget but if there is a way to wiggle the price down then we may want to take a look. So he asks us inside and we tell him our goal price, which we know isn't very doable, however we were hoping even a small price cut could get us to a low enough payment for my father. Anyways, this KIND gentleman informed us that he may be able to reach a discount and he will talk to the sales manager. I thought, "cool, it will be alright to just check what they can do and if it's out of our budget then we can move along happily." Nope... this sales manager was rather rude. Our sales rep already knew we were trying to get a price closer to our budget of 20k. We of course knew the 28k Explorer would be higher than 20k even with a price reduction but the manager completely blew up on us because "it's a sport model like a cop car." Yet all we were asking for is IS IT POSSIBLE FOR A PRICE REDUCTION? He could have said, "no, we can't discount it" then we would have been on our way. But instead he used his "sales talk" to try and get us to buy it at 28k then got mad at us when we computed his "calculations" and we would be paying close to 40k over the 82 months he quoted us. He acted like it was a huge offense that we know how to compute on a calculator $450x82+$4k = $40,900. That's way too much out of our range. PLUS the vehicle has over 65,000 miles on it! It's a USED explorer. We said, that's out of our budget, and the manager kept insisting that we "give me a number we can make a deal on," and we told him it's out of our budget, there is no number we can give. We told them as close to 20k as they could yet they didn't even budge one dollar! He was UNWILLING TO NEGOTIATE ANYTHING! To this he made a snide remark, "well why would you come inside if you weren't able to afford it." ( we told the sales rep we just wanted to see a price estimate and if we could talk them down.) We tried to explain multiple times that we were just curious how low a price they could get us if we HAPPEN TO BUY the car, yet this man treated us as if we weren't worthy of the vehicle. "How can we make a profit then" he kept saying as if we were wasting his time. "That's a fully loaded sport model." "This is what is used for cop cars..." blah blah blah He argued with my husband and proceeded to act offended that my husband knows how to use a calculator. "Oh I have a calculator too!" The rude manager said. He then had the audacity to say it will be cheaper if WE had good credit yet we hold a high credit score. My husband alone over 800 and WE JUST GOT A 2020 FORD F150 FOR CLOSE TO THAT PRICE OUT THE DOOR! As a faithful Ford customer, the experience we've had at Tracy ford is enough to not want to buy Ford again... We bought a Brand New 2020 Ford Escape here and have had nothing but problems. We bought the bumper to bumper warranty and have the manufacturer warranty for coverage. We took our vehicle to be repaired by them for an issue (we still have) where we can't turn the "PRND" dial because it gets stuck. I've voiced my concerns multiple times, recorded videos/time stamps of the issues while also performing the troubleshooting for them with no resolve. When they kept the vehicle with us having good faith we'd see a repair, they just sat on the issue by not giving us updates on status of our repair(s). After 1 week of them having it, I called them up myself for an update and they said they haven't started repairs because they are "still assessing." Every time we pick up the vehicle, we end up going back to this dealership with no resolve. Praying that our lemon of a vehicle wont continuously get stuck with shift dial when my wife has to deliver our baby at the hospital.... We will never go back here or buy a vehicle from this dealership because we've had nothing but problems and no fixes. He was kind, transparent, professional and extremely accommodating. He worked later hours, communicated regularly, promptly and efficiently. He delivered excellent customer service with a genuine compassionate approach. Our experience: My husband had been relentlessly searching for the right family vehicle that would comfortably accommodate a growing family with plans of adventuring. We just welcomed a new baby and were in search of a large SUV. After weeks of online and in person dealership shopping, he finally found the vehicle he envisioned at Tracy Ford dealership. He called and was greeted with enthusiasm and quickly scheduled a visit. Because we live 2 hours away he wanted to make sure it was still available. His experience with other dealers had recently been that they didn't answer phones and if they did, he was informed that the vehicle of interest was either conveniently in contract stages, but others vehicles were available, or websites had not been updated to reflect current inventory, etc. He showed up the next day as scheduled, prepared to make a deal if the vehicle met our needs and to our delight it's much nicer and spacious in person than the advertised images. He pulled the trigger. They even had two gentlemen drive the truck to our home, 2 hours away! Because I couldn't get out there to drive one of the cars home with a premature newborn. The next day we drove back out as a family, in our beautiful new SUV and I signed all of the documents as only my signature was missing. I live 35 minutes away and choose to come to this Ford Dealership for service over my local dealership because they are THAT GOOD. They are professional, follow up, and honor coupons from their site. They also added another service for me because there had been a recall that I wasn't aware of. I will always come here for my service needs. I purchased my 2020 Ford Explorer last week and for the most part I had a good experience. I worked with Simo who listed to our wants and needs and really met us where we were. Why the three stars? I share the exact same concerns and Ruby stated in this Yelp review thread. When we got to financing the man who helped us was rude, unethical and completely dismissive. So please read this review and don't fall into his traps! So when we walked in he immediately demanded I sign here and there without reading or going over anything. I immediately asked to see the break down of the payments and final price (everything until this point had been verbal) well low and behold he through a out supper fast that my payments are + 20 dollars more than the agreed purchase price. Why? His explanation was the tax rate was higher where I live- but why not tell me this upfront? The sales team alllll knew where we lived as they asked for our drivers license and knew that this would happen. So if I would have signed all papers as he wanted me to I would've been stuck with a +20 payment. This guy also wanted me to buy the extended warranty package and was so extremely pushy and shady about it. He told us the same thing that he told Ruby as stated below and was so upset when I read over the Yelp review. He literally got up and left us! He told me "just sign here and here" and I kept telling him "no I'm going to read everything before signing"! In all- he ruined our experience by rushing such a critical part of a car buying experience. Would I go back? No . Even though I was able to catch most of the shade going on I still feel disrespected and not valued as a customer. I also didn't even finance through them because I did not trust anything being said.
