Prices are standard. The cement item prices are pretty good. Admittedly, they seem to have a lot of knickknacky stuff that's unnecessary and collects dust. Family run, friendly folks who are not overly intrusive. They have good quality soil, plants and mulch. What more can you ask for? Feed and chickens are also available. Used to have a better selection of Bogs etc. but their product lines change year to year and I'm a bit disappointed in the boots and gloves selections of late. Quality tools and gardening chemicals that you won't find at the Home Depot. Bonus! Hours have improved though I do wish they were open a little later. Customer loyalty program will keep you coming back! That's a nice touch.

They were looking to recoup the deficit as the employee undercharged me. The owner basically accused me of trying to get something for free even though I agreed to pay for the EMPLOYEES MISTAKE . If I had been a cash paying customer, they would have had no recourse. Very disappointing that I was treated so rudely. They make supporting local businesses difficult.

I passed the store hundreds of times and never ventured in because silly me didn't have a tractor. I asked a few of the staff why it was named tractor supply. It turns out the company got its start in Minot, N.D. in 1938 as a mail order supplier of tractor parts. I was pleasantly surprised at the wide variety of items they carry at fairly reasonable prices. The store is very large, and not really well organized. Plan on spending some time exploring the aisles and you'll be intrigued at the really cool selection of merchandise you never would imagine seeing in a store named Tractor Supply.

The security people are really nice as are people on the floor, but there's a shorter statured guy with a mullet sort of haircut at the checkout that was bossing people around, whether it's other staff or customers and that's where the experience falls apart for me. I usually try to stop here every once in a while as a little pick me up after a hard day of work. Today I did that, and he was yelling in general out to the store (2xs) to "move up." I was waiting in line for 20 minutes where this wasn't a problem and then all of a sudden it was. He yelled at the third time and then muttered something under his breath, but he wasn't looking at me when I went up to the register so it felt personal. There weren't that many people there and only two cashiers. He was one of them because he was completely facing away from me. I had no idea he was talking to me. Asked me if I wanted a bag and to give my phone number. I said yes to the bag and no to the phone number And he seemed annoyed by this. Additionally, he didn't bag any of the items that I was worried would get damaged in the rain. Also, he snapped at me when I tried to scan my credit card after he scanned everything and asked me if I wanted bags for an additional fee. Assuming the transaction was ready to happen, I went to go swipe my card and yelled at me that it was not the right time to do that. And then I would have to do it again. I noticed that it was registering and I did everything right. And I wasn't scanning again for that purpose and I kindly told him that. Final straw was when I was trying to walk out and the stuff that I was getting as gifts had tags on them that were setting off the alarm. When I brought them back to ask him to please remove them, as that was embarrassing enough, he was complaining that I wasn't handing them to him fast enough and he had to finish scanning someone else, even though the merchandise wasn't even over-the-counter yet and I didn't want it fall on the floor and get dirty. Again, it was a gift. Really annoying and snarky. I don't do my job like this and I don't expect other people to either. I get it, it's a minimum wage job, but you should take pride in what you do. I was perfectly nice until I wasn't treated nice and then I was indifferent at most. He was rude. And he needed a little bit more customer service training if we're being honest.
