This review is strictly about the men's clothing department. This store has a friendly, helpful staff. I went in to check out a couple of T-shirts and a western shirt. I was not sure about the fit and the staff promptly opened a fitting room for me. I was able to find my items at a reasonable price compared to other competitors that carry the same brands. I recently visited Tractor Supply in Lodi to purchase four baby chicks, along with organic chick starter feed, bedding, a feeder, and a waterer. The store had a decent selection, and the staff were friendly while we were shopping. However, our experience after bringing the chicks home was heartbreaking. Within a few days, three out of the four chicks died. At first, I thought they had a common poultry illness, but when I visited a local feed store for medication, the staff there immediately identified the issue--Tractor Supply should have asked if I was using medicated feed. New chicks are vulnerable to disease, and unless you're administering medication separately, they need chick starter with built-in antibiotics. Unfortunately, I wasn't given this information when purchasing them, and I unknowingly bought organic, non-medicated feed, which likely led to their decline. This was really upsetting, and I wish the staff had taken the time to explain this to me--especially since many people buying chicks may not be experts. Better education for customers could prevent unnecessary losses like this. Additionally, the store's location feels sketchy, with a lot of homeless individuals lingering around the parking lot. It didn't feel like the safest place to shop. On a positive note, I want to my local El Sobrant Feed & Pet Supply store which is a small business in my community to get some medication. They were incredibly knowledgeable, helped me get the right feed, and gave great advice to help our last remaining chick thrive. If you're getting chicks, I strongly suggest going there instead. I hope Tractor Supply improves their customer education so others don't have to go through the same experience. read more

This place has a little bit of everything for your animals, regardless of what they are - mouse or guinea pig or a horse or cow and everything in between. The prices are decent and they usually have what I need. Although recently they've been out of the large breed puppy food I buy. The only negative experience I've really had, and it wasn't really that bad at all, was that two of the 9 sexed "female" chicks I bought ended up being roosters instead. We ended up keeping them anyway. If I were just writing a review on Karen, the cashier at the front, it would definitely be five stars. She greeted us when we came in and was very friendly while we were in line and while we checked out. It's because of employees like her that I will always go to tractor supply first when I look for some thing I need. read more

In this day and age it's very difficult to find a store that actually provides quality customer care. We went to Tractor Supply in Lodi, CA to find a dog kennel. Not only did they have what we needed but they were very knowledgable and extremely accomodating. When we got it home one of the panels had a dent in it. Instead of making us return the entire kennel (which is the standard in most stores) they let us exchange just that panel. I bought 20 chickens on the 1st, 10 of them being these Rare Standard Package Chickens. I picked them up as soon as they arrived at my local post office. When I picked them up, the clerk said "Oh, you're here for the dead chickens." They had been dead for at least 2 days. I am being refunded my money, but this is inhumane to the chickens. All 20 of them were put in a tiny box(a little smaller than a shoe box) with no food and no water. These are guaranteed LIVE and I expected maybe a few to not make it, but ALL 20?! This can't be okay. Do not order online, go into the stores and buy what they have in stock instead or purchase from a local chicken farm. read more

We just left tractor supply with one of the worst experiences. Their yard worker is extremely rude. We tried to back into the yard to get our large hog panel and he told us no. He replied I would just wait here for hours for you to tie down your stuff so he just dragged it out of the gate bending the panel.. If you hate your job DONT work there! As a veteran we come here for our discount and to be greeted with customer service not rude workers who hate their jobs. read more

I was looking for the Sportmix dog food and I was told that tractor supply carries them. So when I got off of work i went there and there it was it was almost a 50lb of dog food for $28 each and I got about 2 of them plus a toy that was on clearance so I got 15% off plus an additional amount off which drop my bill down to $60 something dollars. I bought 2 dog bones and a toy. Nice location and friendly staff. Will visit again. read more

Half the employees there had no masks on. My cashier had her mask around her neck. She turned and covered her mouth when she sneezed...which is polite, but she should be wearing her mask. And during pickup, the employee leaned into my car, breathing heavily, again with no mask. read more

Rude old employees and manager.. customer experience and services suck.. not a clean store. Especially bathroom. Original bathroom from Orchard Supply.. Very unsanitary.. Dirty.. Unlikely to return.. Gladly go to competition in stockton.. inconvenient.. but rather go and be helped properly and be respected verses disrespected and not helped at all (ignored) prices are a-little high for most product. Our thanks to management! We bought their remaining fruit trees on sale because the staff decided to sell it to us at a price we couldn't turn down. Tractor Supply is awesome! I can now afford to have apple trees in my front yard, since the fruit trees at Lowes gaden center don't compare to Dave Wilson Nursery trees that TSC sells seasonally. Customers don't want to deal with a manager who doesn't give a care about their needs and also treats his employees like they are a dime a dozen. I've been coming here for about 6 months to get dog and cat food. Tractor Supply has some of the best ingredient dog and cat food for reasonable prices. My pets health is very important so I travel to Lodi to purchase it. Karen who is an employee at Tractor Supply usually waits on me and is always curtious, helpful and has a smile on her face! Tried to purchase my first welder, all the reviews online for the basic 125 amp job smart one were great. Went down to buy it, was unenthusiasticly sold a welder who's box was beaten and retaped. I asked the cashier if it was used and he said no. Get home and open it up the contact tip, face shield were missing. Looking at the welder more carefully after these red flags I look at the grounding clamp and it is covered in slag and is all beat up, and the welding gun had some on it as well. I promptly call the store and the customer service guy remembered me and offered to fix it by giving me parts off of the store display I've seen kids drooling on before when I came in. Asked to get a cash refund and will be going to the TS in galt where a lady was actually happy I called and seemed interested in my best interest. read more

I am 77 years old and live in Stockton. This review is to praise the help I received from Carri at Tractor Supply Co. in Lodi. Recently I ordered a 4-lb bag of Diatomaceous Earth online to be picked up at the store. After I ordered it, rules and regulations of the Coronavirus Crisis demanded that I stay in isolation for my own health safety. Well, I figured that I could be isolated in my car, so I drove to Tractor Supply, parked right in front of the entrance and opened the trunk of my car. Called the store and talked to Carri, explained my situation and asked if an employee could come out to the car to see my ID and copy of the order, then put the package in the trunk. Very safe for all involved. I did have to wait on hold for what seemed like 10 minutes while Carri checked the protocol, but the country music they provided was great and I didn't mind at all. When Carri came back, she very carefully asked me if I am in quarantine because, if so, none of their employees could help me because of the danger to their health. When I assured her that I am just supposed to stay in isolation from other people because of my age, she quickly brought the package out, checked my ID, had me sign the receipt and I was able to leave. Just so you know, I put on vinyl gloves and used my own pen to sign the paper while we kept 3 feet of space between us. I don't know anyone who works at this store, so this is an unbiased review. I have shopped there several times over the last couple of years and have always enjoyed the visits there. Employees invariably are friendly and helpful. The last time I shopped there with a friend, one of the employees even helped us find something after his shift was over and he was on his way out of the store. Great customer service.
