I love a good bargain and this store has plenty. If you don't mind taking the time to actually search through the racks, you can find some really cute things and good deals as well. This is a ROSS store, so you're obviously not going to have the ambiance of an upscale department store. Pro's : - You can find great deals if you're willing to put in the time and effort - This place has a good selection of affordable Plus Size clothing - In a jam, you can get a quick, inexpensive gift for pretty much anyone. - The store is clean and mostly organized Con's : - It has a bit of a flea market feel; it will be crowded and scattered. - You do feel like a criminal when you try things on (I understand they get a lot of shoplifters but the employees go overboard) - Continuing, their customer service isn't the greatest. - It's located in a poorer area so you get the occasional person asking you for money outside or walking around the store talking to themselves. If you can put up with it, it's worth a try to find a great deal. The one star is for the cashiers who were more interested in talking to each other about the guy in the checkout next to me and how he looked like someone they knew. The girl waiting on me did say hi when I walked up but once they started talking about "the guy" she didn't say thanks or kiss my a$$, just handed me my receipt and said "here". Wow did I feel special! I guess I shouldn't expect too much, after all it's just Ross. But I would like to give 5 stars to the nice loss prevention guy at the front door. My only dismay with the location is the fact that there are so many idiotic parents that let their kids run around unsupervised and touch things..not just toys.. This location Ross in Lodi is a handy dandy store they got plenty of selection on men shoes and a lot of good selection on men clothing the reason why for 3 stars is the store needs to be a lot more organized and they need to clean the floors a lot better it's pretty dirty and also there service for staff is pretty poor they need to improve on customer service but other than that they got a very good selection in clothing shoes and hats !!!!! read more

One star is too high for this Ross store. They had some cute things but the store was very dirty. There were also big vacant areas in the store. The worst part was when I went to check out. There were at least 25 people in line and ONE person working the registers. There was another girl in customer service but she was dealing only with returns. When the return line was finished she walked away and started to fold clothes. I asked to speak to the store manager. The store manager was a young rude girl who walked up to me and asked if there was a problem. I told her that there were all these people waiting and the line had't moved in 10 minutes. She told me, "that's not my fault ma'am. " I replied, yes it IS your fault! She turned and walked away. I will NEVER be back to the Ross store in Lodi again. read more

Horrible customer service. Not sure if the cashier was having a bad day but that's not an excuse to treat customers with utter disrespect. After deciding upon one pair of jeans, I headed over to the registers only to be approached in a rude manner. The lady whom I didn't get a chance to catch her name, yelled "next" before the previous transaction was finished which stumped me from the start. She scanned my jeans and in the middle of the process the door alarm begins to buzz. Now, she is rummaging through the bag of the customer before me to make sure that she took all the tags off. Mind you, she approached this lady in a very rude manner saying "let me see it" as if the customer was in the wrong. Anyways after inserting my card while she was looking through the lady's bag, I take my receipt off the receipt and wait for her to tell me Im good to go considering my bag was still on the hooks. She proceeded to remark in a snarky, rude attitude "yeah if you paid." The least she could do was hand me my bag but no I proceeded to rip it off the hooks and make my way to the door while she was still trying to figure out the tag situation with the other lady. Like if you aren't gonna do the bare minimum as a cashier then I might as well jump over the counter and do the transaction myself. I was at this store earlier this afternoon. I hesitated when I entered because there was a huge line waiting to check out. But onward I went! I was greeted by a man at a podium "Hello"! I went to the plush pillow section, they had a large variety and selection. Hmmm, seemed to take me awhile to decide, but while I hemmed and hawwed, I noticed store employees straightening out stock and helping customers on the floor. The one employee was being very helpful to an older crabby lady. I got to the checkout, asked if they had gift bags, and was directed to that area. Picked out my selection and went back to wait in line. The line moved along pretty fast. The store is clean and employees are friendly. read more

Just had my worst shopping experience EVER shopping at this Ross store in Lodi. One person working the registers with more than 20 people in line while the manager and his RUDE sidekick took their sweet ass time behind the counter. Several people left their items and walked out. And then rather than apologize she rudely remarked that it wasn't their fault. WRONG!! It's a sign of very poor management. It was a dirty store with filthy restrooms. Love the deals. Assistant manager George is really. Ice and very helpful. So is the guy from loss prevention. I love the Calvin Klein jackets for like 60.00 and the Ralph Lauren socks for almost nothing. The store is a good place for shopping for good deals. read more

I typically like Ross stores. I used to live up in the Rocklin/Roseville area and was a frequent shopper. However, I haven't had such luck with this one here in Lodi. I've gone multiple times, hoping for the best, only to leave disappointed. Perhaps its just the luck of the draw. Small town, smaller options. I don't know, but at this point I'm thinking the drive up to Sacramento would be worth the gas. read more

I hoped that when I wanted to purchase two pairs of earrings, I would be rung up at the separate register they have in that area. Not the case. I was told, "follow me to the register over here." So the male employee walks away quickly to a cash wrap area, shoves my earrings I want to buy in a drawer there and walks away. Doesn't look at me or say anything else. I am expected to get into the long line of customers. Then when it's my turn to be rung up, the cashier looks at me and asks where my items are! Well, shouldn't you know? Do you think that's a good system? Why should I have to tell you where your co-worker shoved my items in a drawer? She goes to retrieve them after I advise her where they are. I then advised her that their customer service was the worst and I don't know if she cared. Where is the Manager? I know they are not paid well but learn some basic, customer service skills! I don't even want to give this Ross store 1 star. Over the last year it has gotten progressively worse with each visit. After today i will not be returning. When you go to and leave the dressing room you are treated as if you have stolen or are going to steal something. The ladies nearly yell at you if you don't do exactly as they say.
