I'm in this store like twice a week. Some of these reviews are kind of ridiculous. Why you would travel from San francisco or Livermore or any other town to go to this Hobby Lobby just to complain, I have no idea. At worst they're guilty of long lines but that's probably a corporate issue due to store budget. The staff may not go out of their way to greet you or ask if you need assistance but thats indicative of the work culture in most stores. Except for this lady who carries the key to the spray paint. If I could rate zero stars I would. I never leave bad reviews because it's never that serious but if you're a person of color, do not shop here. Very racist employees, calling "security " to check all aisles about three times until I made it to check out. I've come in plenty and have never stole or had issues. If I was stealing would I wait in a line of twenty people and one cashier? Be real. Mind you I was in my work uniform and I work in the same plaza! Save your money. Never stepping foot here again. Just want to warn fabric buyers... I bought 5 yards of 108 white cotton. When I started rolling out the fabric a little at a time to cut pieces for my quilt project. Into the third yard I noticed the fabric had manufactured flaws. Something I didn't notice when looking at the bolt and the person who rolled it out and cut didn't say anything either. I went to store ask at return desk what I should do and the manager came up and told me to go back to sewing desk and ask the cutting girl what to do. All she said it's cut so it's yours can't replace. I don't think she sews or knows about fabric... I was frustrated they didn't back their product. SO beware look at every yard. read more

I hate writing reviews where I sound like a broken record especially when you got so many locations. To be honest I love Hobby Lobby. In any Hobby Lobby location, they are consistent in service, clean environment, merchandise and their deals/sales. Just two weeks ago my cousin from Hawaii wanted so bad to go to a Hobby Lobby. She owns a bakery in Hawaii and at this time 2024 has no Hobby Lobby in Hawaii. So she splurged in the baking section. What's great is it was 40% off at the time. I even spent on an empanada/dumpling press and round cookie cutters. There's always something for everyone. I LOVE IT! read more

This store is foul. I was shopping there last week and had a medical emergency while trying to exit. I somehow managed to purchase something but was completely confused and disoriented due to very low blood sugar. I was unable to exit the store and was threatened by an employee that if i didn't exit the store, they would call the police. Nobody asked me if I needed help or showed any concern. I have been a Diabetic for 54 years and have never been treated so disgustingly at a place of business in my life. I will NEVER shop there again. Really Christian of you!! read more

Hobby Lobby is a great store. There is always plenty of stock and selection. I love that I can always get a great deal and feel the price to value is always on spot. The service is not always perfect but we are all human and bound to have an off day. More often than not the employees are very helpful and friendly. I love Hobby Lobby!!! Granted store is a bit messy and I think they have an abundance of overstock struggling to push out However I always find something every time I go in. Prices are great and staff is very friendly and helpful. I actually try not to go in and just browse unless I plan to buy stuff or need anything cause I'll end up spending money no matter what. Yesterday at the Lodi branch store, they would not honor the price on the clearance item. They said it was a spring item and that somebody had put a wrong tag on it. I told the manager he had to honor it and he said no and I told him that this was illegal and he said, there was nothing he could do about it. The price would've been reduced to 499 and was in the clearance section when I thought it would be a good size canvas to paint over just for the price of the canvas. I examined the canvas and it was in good condition, and I thought it must be an outdated picture.the managers name was Carl and he was rude and other people in line actually agreed with me, including even the Salvation Army bell ringer. Bad form! I will never shop at Hobby lobby, any of them again. It's too bad because I'm an artist. read more

Hobby Lobby's custom framing service is ridiculously overpriced and completely incompetent. I ordered two identical frames, small and simple with matting. The order was surprisingly expensive and took several weeks to complete. I drove from out of town to pick them up and was frustrated to find that only one was ready - because the employee made a mistake when putting in the order (I think his name was Kyle). The order was then adjusted by another employee, named Kevin. I had to send my mother to pick up the second frame a few weeks later (since I live an hour and a half away). When I received the second frame, it was completely wrong. Not only did it not match the first frame, but the craftsmanship was super shoddy and a sharp edge sliced open my finger. I called Hobby Lobby and explained the situation but was refused a refund and they didn't seem to care at all that they had caused so much trouble. BAD BUSINESS! 0/10 would not recommend. read more

For the past three months I've visited this store 3 times. And all three times left empty handed. The store aisles were occupied with boxes and carts with store items. What a mess, you feel like you're visiting flea market. It's absolutely impossible to move through them or pass other customer. The worst customer service I have ever received! I brought a ceramic Christmas tree up to the register with a 9.99 price tag on it. Another employee ( I am assuming one of the supervisors) came right over after she heard me say what a great discount price it was and yanked the price tag off and said it was not correct and that I should pay the full price. It was obviously a RETURN as the packaging was in disarray. For 9.99 I did not care if the packaging was a little wonky. She was rude and disrespectful and did not honor the price that was actually ON the item. I come here all the time to buy craft supplies for my business. I never had a problem until today. I went to a few different stores and do not have a running car so I was carrying the things I bought from previous stores. I had a few bags from Walmart and Burlington. I shopped around, and when I finished paying the cashier asked me if the items in the bag from Walmart were paid for. I nicely explained that they were from Walmart and the store manager asked for a receipt. I kindly showed them my receipt. Then the store manager proceeded to go through my entire bag asking me if items that HOBBY LOBBY does not sell if they were there's. He said at one point that the pen and sketchbook set I bought from Burlington were there's and I said, no they are not. He asked me why I was bringing in items from other stores, I said I do not have a car to put my stuff in I'm walking. Then he said that it was weird that I'm bringing stuff from other stores in. I showed him all my receipts. Then he asked if the pencils and glitter I had just bought from them were paid for, which I had literally just paid for, the cashier hadn't given me my receipt yet. I have never had that type of experience. Maybe they should pay more attention to who comes in their doors, I would have gladly put my bags up front to avoid being harassed like this on my way out. I understand why they had to do it. But again, if they paid more attention they would have seen I can in with the bag and ask me to place it up front while I did my shopping, not told me it was weird that I brought something in from another store because I don't have a vehicle. You really need to find a more helpful associate to work in the fabric department. The young man who appears to be working is really in need of customer service skills or another job. With unemployment so low, I'm sure you could fill that job with an eager and helpful individual. read more

Worst experience of my life today I went in with my MINOR daughter to cheer her up after she had blood drawn who was approached and yelled at by a regular employee accused of stealing and told she had to walk to the register on the main aisle not the back aisle (becuase I was in line waiting for us to PAY FoR OUR ITEMS!!! We never even tried to leave the store kind you ... The manager CARL is the most arrogant and unprofessional employee there he does not deserve to have that manager position but hey team attitude and actions reflect leadership!!! Better believe corporate was called. Carl walked up with a dirty shirt in street clothes and Walmart bags at the end of the conversation and had nerve to tell me I couldn't control my mouth and needed to leave the store as his employee who was clocked in was still talking and yelling at my daughter... I have nevvver in life you need to be retrained CARL seriously. Next time learn the situation before putting your two Spence in and how to handle a hard situation of fine a new job. This is not the first time I have had bad experience here either but it will be the last! How bout offering us a cart for all our stuff or greeting us as we walk in?!!!! Smh read more

The longest, slowest lines only second to the Super Walmart just across the way. Never speed things along, pray you dont need a price check or find an employee on the floor or at all registers during reasonably busy rush hours.....Cashiers reluctant to ask for help or let the long line of customers know they will call for register back up. I dont want anytime to remember I dont REALLY need any of this. Its a HIGHLY NON ESSENTIAL BUSINESS Id assume the customer services would be on point. And closed on a weekend??? Really. I have never been this disrespected ever in my whole life until i stepped foot into This place . One afternoon i was getting some crafts for a family gathering . I walked over to the fabric counter to see if anyone was able to help me . I asked the young lady who was working that department if she could help me but she just completely ignored me . I asked her Politely if she could cut me a few pieces of material . She Finally decided to put the material down and as she approached me she rolled her eyes. She didn't even greet me with a hello or anything in that matter. Only thing she asked me was what did i need . I had called advance if they had the material that I needed but when I got to the counter she said they did not have it in stock and I explain to her I called and they said that you guys had it. She again had a pissy attitude and did not want to help me anymore . So I asked for her manager. I just couldn't take the disrespect anymore so I gathered my things and went to the front desk. I asked for the manager and when he arrived he was not understanding and also rude about what's going on. This place is so unprofessional I am literally disgusted with the customer service. I went to hobby lobby in Stockton CA as a first time customer and spent $400 on the new cricut maker (never owned any cricut product before). We asked up front if this item could be returned, and they said yes with a receipt. here is hobby lobby's return policy... Hobby Lobby welcomes returns accompanied by an original sales receipt and customer ID within 90 days of purchase. Store credit, a merchandise exchange or a refund in the original form of payment will be issued. Check purchases require a waiting period of 10 calendar days for a refund. Hobby Lobby may refuse any return without a receipt (we were standing there with receipt in hand). We tried to return this machine broken right out of the box and were told by store managers at the Stockton and Lodi CA locations that their policy did not apply to cricut product (while that is not in their written policy nor is it posted anywhere or even mentioned to you during the purchase), while they said the opposite during the purchase. One of the managers got cricut on the phone with us and they refused any kind of refund as well. So we have a $400 product broken right out of the box and neither the manufacturer or the store that sold it will do anything at all to help... If you are thinking of doing business with cricut or hobby lobby, I strongly suggest you re-consider. We were treated with absolute disregard. This is not over, it takes me a while to earn $400. read more

Their customer service is trash went there to buy some iron on vinyl to make shirts for the boys and girls club charity event this weekend for all of us who are working it. The vinyl section and big signs that vinyl was 40% off I go to check out and the lady tells me it's for Crichton's only , I tell her that there's sign through the entire isle and a big sign ON TOP OF the brand I bought. She then calls another worker over to go look at it, she comes back with a picture saying I should have read the TINY tiny fine print. If the particular brand isn't on sale there shouldn't be signs on that brand then. Most other stores would have honoring it this one time and fixed the signs but this store did not they just argued it until I reluctantly paid full price. Then after I checked out she told me I could have downloaded this coupon for 40% off, at that point there were so many people in line being that there's never any registers open. I used to love this store but will NEVER shop there again (in-store or online) at their LODI OR STOCKTON LOCATION ANYWAY!!! I originally went in their for some supplies, but fell in love with some furniture they had on discount. (A lite gray, slated video cabinet and TWO NITE STANDS). They had the video cabinet and one nite stand avail for immediate purchase, but said the other would be ordered and ready in 7 days. I was completely ok with that bc I still had my old nite stands in my room and needed to find someone to lift and move them out (I'm wheelchair bound and couldn't move them myself). So we pd for the furniture that we took hm that day, and asked by chance if they had a second one in the back (you never know, rite?!) After 10-15 mins they come out with a SECOND ONE! I'm totally elated bc my room redo is now complete (or so we thought!!) My Mom and I inspect the info, product and price. We were immediately alerted to the price (first table I pd 125.00, this one says 99.00) we ask why and were told it's the 30% discounted price. (Ummm NO IT WASNT. I'm not a math lover, but it isn't rocket science!) So my mom finds the reason why; it quite obviously DAMAGED ON THE BACK OF IT. We immediately ask them (if possible) to order a brand new one and when that comes in to pls call me and I will gladly pay for it and take it. I was told 7 days and they would give me a little more of a discount for the inconvenience. Great!! We left happy knowing my beached themed room is ALMOST complete. Nine days later I call them back, no nite stand yet. I was told to give them a few more days. Again, no problem I've waited this long and there is no real urgency (other than mismatched furniture). 7 days later I call back, and they cannot find an order/purchase slip anywhere (so to them it looks like i didnt purchase ANYTHING!!!) I'm livid at this point!! They sure didn't have a problem taking my MONEY!!!! I ask them to look around their store, call another store or ORDER IT FROM THE MANUFACTURER!! I was assured they would and call me immediately when they had it. Fast forward 7 MORE DAYS, STILL NO PHONE CALL, Nothing, so I call (yet AGAIN all calls were made BY ME not one single one was made on their part!) I'm told "THEY HAVE IT!" I go down there and look at it and ALMOST took it, when low and behold, ITS THE SAME DAMAGED ONE WE DECLINED IN THE BEGINNING!!! (that I told her about) WTF PPL!! I'm screaming at this point with tears rolling down my face!! The MANAGERS ASSURE ME THEY ARE GONNA MAKE IT RIGHT because I was a loyal customer. I calm down and just want what i saw in THEIR WINDOW! I asked them to call STOCKTON AND SEE IF THEY HAVE ONE NOT DAMAGED. After 25 minutes we were told YES!! They have ONE LEFT AND IT NOT DAMAGED, AND ITS CLEAN (no marks, nothing) After much apologizing from them for all the crap I have been through; we left. I'm totally in tears and my legs are shaking uncontrollably! I arrive at the Stockton store and after about 10 minutes we are helped, they bring up the nite stand, I instantly see that it's damaged. Oh HELL NO!! I refuse it and ask them if they can order it? I was immediately told Umm NO BECAUSE AS LONG AS THEY HAD ONE IN THE STORE COMPANY POLICY SAYS THEY CANNOT ORDER ANYMORE UNTIL THEY ARE "OUT OF STOCK" I ask them to pls pls pls call their ELK GROVE STORE. I was told they COULDNT MAKE STORE TO STORE CALLS!!! WTF!! That is the second time I've heard that. I proceed to hand him MY PHONE and ask home to call. Another Manager appears and they magically call FROM THEIR COMPANY PHONE! I hear bits and pieces of the phone call and was asked to step away. FAST FORWARD ABOUT 2 HRS. I take it upon myself to call ELK GROVE STORE and ask if they even were contacted by STOCKTON. The Manager BEN asks if I was looking for the beach style nite stand, I said, "YES PLS TELL ME YOU HAVE ONE, NOT DAMAGED IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM" He said, "NO BUT IM GONNA ORDER IT AND PERSONALLY MAKE SURE ITS IN PERFECT CONDITION. I start crying and thank him perfusely. He apologized for the other stores saying, "there was no reason they couldn't do what he was doing." I told him his Stockton location told me "they didnt have the time or resources to continue helping me" and when I told them I would take my business to ELK GROVE, he told me to "have a nice drive!" Ben was flabbergasted! I guess he asked them what they did to try and fix the situation and was told, "NOTHING!" He told them, "don't worry i will pick up where you left off and make sure she is PLEASED and gets what she INITIALLY asked for and I'm reporting you and Lodi to CORPORATE!". I inspected the nite stand and NOT A SINGLE THING WAS WRONG WITH IT . He walked us out with my purchase on the Cart AND LOADED IT FOR ME INTO MY VAN!! GAVE ME A HUG, APOLOGIZED AGAIN!! I will ONLY shop Hobby Lobby in ELK GROVE!! Awesome customer service!!! AND THE PRICE WAS DISCOUNTED EVEN MORE BECAUSE OF ALL THE HASSLE!! Kudos to BEN AT ELK GROVE HOBBY LOBBY!!,Thank you!! read more
