This is one of the better Costco out there in my neighborhood. They are usually not as busy as the one in Elk Grove and South Sacramento. You can actually shop in peace and not fight the crowd. We always enjoy shopping at different Costco's. They all have different stuff I guess since each area is made up of different kinds of people or lifestyles. It's so weird coming here. It wasn't really late in the evening . It was before 7PM but this place is nothing like the one in Elk Grove. We are always busy and this one was slow and very quite. Not that many customers at all. It was nice to slowly walk around with no rush or noise . The one thing at not being that busy of a store. The produce seemed older and not as fresh. When you buy in bulk and stuff doesn't sell quick you can't order that much so you can tell the produce is less fresh. We did of course get different things at this location. Not much different. I think we get more at the store on Stockton Blvd. than this place. no biggy. We still have to try since we were here. read more

This is absolutely THE WORST COSTCO location in the world. Upon hearing that Costco sold me the wrong battery group number (Group 25) from my local dealership, I returned to Costco and spoke to the supervisor, JACOB whilst his other team, Adam stood by and listened. Instead of fixing the problem and exchanging me the correct battery (Group 35), Jacob became argumentative, defensive, and very hostile. He interrogated me about the description of the sales person who sold me the wrong battery to which I responded he looked like you, Hispanic. He pointed to his team photos on the wall and said - "we are all Hispanic." Admitting to cronyism/nepotism. Jacob told me I had to come again-- a second time (mind you with high gases driving back and forth) and hand him the battery in my vehicle so he can exchange and charge me for the correct battery. When I came by the second time, I spoke with DJ (a sales person at the Tire center) who checked the make, model, and year of my vehicle and confirmed to me I should have been sold the Group 35 to begin with and not the Group 25. Jacob appeared and AGAIN began argumentative saying that the dealership made a mistake and he didn't want to own up for his failure/fault by selling me the wrong batter. Jacob also said he spoke to his supervisors who will cover up for his mistake and blamed the dealership for noticing that Costco sold me the wrong battery. I never had any problem before with buying car battery from Costco, until NOW. Not only is Jacob incompetent, but he tries to gaslight me, blames the dealership, escalates with hostility, and charges for his mistake. He blames everyone, but not himself for the problem he created. His antagonistic behavior shows a lack of customer service and then he threatens me if I spoke to someone above him by stating that his supervisors will cover up for him. read more

Of course there is a core of items available at all stores, but each store also has different items catering to their clientele. I have really enjoy this Costco location since moving back. It has all you need including gas. Has a huge parking lot and never have an issue finding a parking spot. I would really like to call out the optical department which I have used several times and the staff there is so great at helping you through getting your glasses. I also love all the great Lodi wine selections as well. If you were in a rush and didn't have time to go to some of the great Lodi wineries you could honestly stop here and pick whatever you wanted. Everything else is the same and what you would expect and they keep this location in my opinion extra clean. read more

Gotta love Costco, and as I go as often as I can to save $3 on a monster-size bottle of detergent along with $200 on all kinds of other things I don't really need (and a 5-year supply of it to boot!). I practically need my own warehouse to store it all, yikes! You usually can find someone to help you within a few aisles, and they are most helpful and friendly. If you need to return something, they have a ultra-generous policy. Highlights for me: the fresh fruit and veggies section, fresh meat, fresh whole roasted cooked chicken ($4.99), vitamin and supplements, the wine selection, the booze, and the samples around lunchtime! Tip: Go early or go late, but not at lunch or 530pm - the checkout process is long and tedious. Unless, of course, you need lunch and want to go for their AYCE samples! Costco is our go-to for just about all of our household needs - they truly have everything, and you can't beat being able to snack on samples while you shop. It's a win-win, and one of the main reasons we keep coming back. Like every Costco, this location is consistently busy, but I've found that going within the last hour before closing is usually the best time to avoid the biggest crowds. The location also has plenty of parking, which is a plus. The biggest downside to this Costco is the customer service. Some of the employees could definitely benefit from additional training, as friendliness can be hit or miss. In particular, I've had experiences with cashiers who came across as curt or outright rude, which isn't the most pleasant way to end a shopping trip. Even the receipt checkers often seem more focused on chatting with each other than moving the line along efficiently. Overall, we'll continue to shop here because Costco itself is hard to beat for value and selection but the service at this location leaves room for improvement. read more

So, i bought my Appliances at Costco because of the now old policy of take care of the customer first. Well not anymore. Now Costco doesn't honor good sense. I bought a Kitchen Aid Washer it lasted 4 years and 4 months. Durable goods like appliances should last a minimum of 10 years. The appliances our parents bought routinely lasted 20 to 25 years. KITCHEN AID is no better. 4 months out of warranty and Costco and KitchenAid both tell me tough luck. There is no good Customer Service left in the world. I will be canceling my Costco membership and just buying from the cheapest wholesaler I can find. It's kind of a shame. I went behind him to get some Downy and I said "behind you" he shush me leaving me embarrassed and made me feel like I did something wrong. He is the one with the machinery that can hurt someone, what if it was a child? A man said "sorry about that" to him like mister he is the one that was at fault! We decided to pop in to the Costco in Lodi after having a fairly miserable lunch, and wanting to grab some things for our road trip. I can pretty much live at Costco. It's my go to for so many things, and rarely does a warehouse disappoint me. I love the fact that most of the locations are organized in the same fashion. The exception being the location in Washington state, which is considered to be there , original location and everything about that place is special. It's completely different from the exterior all the way through the entire warehouse. But I digress. This location the parking is seemingly not only disorganized, but rather nightmarish to navigate through. Maybe it was just our timing. The warehouse is set up, pretty similar to most of the others, just less of everything. It was really odd. I perused through the cheese and meat sections, and they literally had taken the cold cases, and somehow managed to block off half the space, while filling the other half of space With product. So either they don't sell enough at this location, or they don't get enough product, but it was just odd. I've never seen this in any of the warehouses that I've shopped out, and that's been a lot. The checkout lines at this location are just horrendous. There were people standing in line 25 carts deep, and only some of the lines were even open. The self check out was closed, and the unnecessary craziness just did not make sense. If someone lives in the area, it may make more sense to go to the Stockton warehouse. I will say what is nice about this specific location, or the other services in the general area. So if you're out for the day and you need to check off a lot of things on the honey do list, this is definitely the spot. From Home Depot, to Staples, etc. You literally can get so much done in the area. Bravo for that planning! read more

We didnt have any folks over for thanksgiving so we bought the Thanksgiving Dinner for $40 and put it straight in the fridge. Sadly, by the time Thanksgiving came about, half the food was ruined with mold. My wife ended up doing quite a bit more work than she expected so I could come home from work to a nice dinner. The frustrating part is that the Supervisor at the return line, Geo, refused to provide any compensation for this faulty product. Geo stated that we needed to provide half of the product, but this product came with two trays and we provided one of said trays. There wasnt enough food for the whole family because of this issue, and I'm surprised that Costco is applying their return policy in this manner. read more

Lately, I've had horrible service in the tires department. First time I took in my car in for tires rotation and check n replace the tire sensor. I waited 2 hours and when I go get my car, they didn't check the tire pressure monitoring system, only rotated the tires. 2nd time, make sure they ordered the tire pressure monitoring replacement and to rotate the tires and replace the tire pressure system, again, they just rotated the tires n said they don't have the TMS. I ordered them ahead of time n scheduled the appointment too. Wasted 2 hours again waiting and the TMS is still not fixed. They said they don't have the TMS even though I have them ordered ahead of time. I don't have time to waste n my car is not fixed. So frustrating!!!!! read more

Menu is more limited now that Covid has hit but the values have not been affected. First off let me start with I had a flat tire in Costco. Went in ask if they could repair my tire charge $10+. Pulled in can't repair the tire need to be replaced. I have a Tesla can't tow the car to nearest americas tire close to 6 pm Sunday. Don't stock EV tires so they preorder it have to leave Tesla rather than double instance of towing it. 3 days past and they now just had my all 4 tires cause they said I can't buy a set of two on all wheel. You think they will do mine first but it's almost 6 and I'm still waiting for them to do my car. They told me that they expect the tire Monday. Tuesday came they have to reorder it from another location. Wednesday now and I'm waiting for them to touch it. If you have EV dont buy tires at Costco. Never again. read more

12/30/23 This is regarding their tire center. I called a few days ago to schedule an appointment to get new tires since they were the only local store that had tires in stock for my car. The guy I spoke to said I would need to make an appointment so I did, and he added nothing after making the appointment. I show up at 3pm, Saturday for my appointment in which I'm now told by a different guy that they only had two tires left for my car because someone had just purchased some. I was then told they usually encourage customers to purchase the tires in advance to guarantee them. I let him know I was not told this when I originally called otherwise I would have bought them. He apologized but this was a waste of my time and gas bc I wasn't provided full information when I originally called. Why make an appointment for me if they know there's a possibility the tires might not be in stock by the time I make it in?? Makes no sense especially since he even said it was the only tire in stock for my car. This is likely my first and last time I'll try to use Costco's Tire Center. I now have an appointment with America's Tire which I was able to get a better deal on some Yokohamas anyway. Hoping this will go better! read more

They always have everything I need, even when there was a shortage on Enfamil it was this Costco that had their stuff together. I was able to feed my Irish twins. The Karen working the exit door has some sort of power trip. I stepped out to take a phone call and have a cigarette while my partner was in line. I could see her from the exit. Karen wouldn't let me back in even after pointing at my partner. She said, "It's not my fault", so I told her, "No one else has a problem with me walking to the cash registers, so who's fault would it be?". We will be going to Sams Club from now on. Today I had the most horrible experience at Lodi Costco I had my service dog sitting on my lap when I got approached by Mike an employee there saying I need to leave as soonest possible because having a dog inside was unsanitary, I told him if his worry abou sanitary conditions he should clean the table that was next to me, he was very aggressive towards me and literally kick us out of the store, thank God we were done shopping but never again I will shop there. read more
