Since I have the Love's Rewards Mobile App, I am eligible for the 10 cents off gasoline each visit. It has definitely saved me money, especially with how gas prices are going nowadays. The only slight downfall is that none of the pumps offer printed receipts. Sometimes, I have to head directly inside the store to get one, as needed. We have been coming here for awhile now for our propane 100lb tank fill up which may be about 27 gallons. They are just a tad more expensive than their neighbor at $4.49 per gal versus the $3.70 per gal. But the service here is more friendlier and convenient. No matter what time of the day we come we have had luck getting propane fill except once about the last month when they had call outs and no one to set ice the propane station. But overall, it's closer to home for us which also makes it nicer and it's usually not a long wait. They also seem to do a good job on communication with each other by walkie into the store if there are more customers needing support with service outside and coming in to pay. Next to the propane fill up station they also have the RV dump station. Almost like a one stop location for the traveling, RV and propane needs. read more

pulled into the Love's in Lodi, CA - honestly nothing special. It's easy to reach from the freeway, yet kinda run-down. Inside felt fine, though the restrooms were messy, like nobody had swung by recently. The parking area felt kind of messy, trucks parked wherever with no clear layout. The workers were somewhat friendly, yet appeared distracted, not eager to assist. For the better side, they've got what you usually need - like snacks, drinks, restrooms, also lots of gas stations - yet this one seemed kinda worn down when stacked up against other Love's spots. Date: Saturday, August 10th, 2024 Time: around 11:30pm The hubby and I were driving from SJ to Tahoe and needed a restroom break. The hubs found Love's and we decided to drop by. You should note, there are two entrances - one for cars / autos and another one for trucks. We easily found parking in front of the mart. Restrooms were clean unlike other spots I've been to. Even the toilets flush by themselves after you are done. Dispensers were filled with soap and there were plenty of paper hand towels to dry off. The mini mart / market was kinda like a 7-Eleven plus. We were so happy to see this Love's had a dump station, so this was the reason why we stopped. It cost $15 to use, which is relatively high (typically $10). It is placed in the entrance for cars, which is not ideal. Further, unlike other dump stations, it's situated in a box that is higher the RV tank outlets. This makes dumping require lifting the sewer hose to pump it out. We have had a trailer for 12 years and never seen this user- unfriendly a design. I do not recommend this place for this service. On the positive, all the staff was super friendly and the bathrooms were clean. read more

Gayle and I attended a Berkeley Rep Performance (Let the Right On In) last Saturday. After another pleasant time with "Casa Prosnitz", we drove home Sunday through the Delta and then CA 88 home. Traffic has become a real concern around the US 50/I-80 interchange (Sacramento) and stretching sometimes all the way to Vacaville. So we were anxious to avoid too many cars, and opted instead for a much more scenic (albeit a little longer) route home. The CA 12/I-5 interchange is a good place to buy gas as there's lots of places to choose from and there's nothing much else for awhile up the road. This time around, we chose the Love's Travel Stop as the price was reasonable (only about 50 cents/gallon over Carson Valley prices), the coffee for the road was pretty good, there's truck stop tchotchkes if we were interested, and it was an easy on/easy off driving wise. 3 Stars for a gas station/truck stop means we got what we expected. Otherwise, it's just one more stop along the road. read more

I'm grateful that Love's has a little fenced in dog park that you can let your dog run around in. We had to travel with our dog and when he needed out, I could let him run a little in the fenced in dog park and not have to have the leash on him. Customer service sucks in the automotive area which is to the left of the store when you walk in. I bought an Armorall wipes and it clearly showed to be $6.99 on the shelf price, when rang up it came to $8.99. I told the cashier who did not budge when I was waiting at the cashier stand until I said something (she wanted to ignore me for as long as she can), and she just looked at me like she didn't care. I said it again, and she kept her "I don't give a crap" look! With an extra attitude. Didn't say a word or offer help, which I think would have been too much for her. Someone pulled up to pump across from me and I caught him leaning into my car door on other side from where I was pumping (drivers door). My tank is on passenger side. He was trying to steal my purse and phone sitting right there. I yelled at the top of my lungs and he took off in a silver Range Rover discovery. The clowns that wear the neon vests did NOTHING. I go by this truck stop all the time and finally stopped in because I had to go potty. As soon as I walked in, I was surprised at how clean it was. The bathrooms were nice and clean and I gave it a green smiley face on the way out. The handicap stall had a door that wouldnt close though so that's a bummer but not a huge deal and an easy hinge fix. The store itself was bright, light and clean with all your basic truck stop stuff at truck stop prices. I enjoyed walking around looking at everything and ended up buying some pieces of cake of all things. This is the second time I've been to this Love's location. I trust the company's fuel much more than most and have used them in several station from the east coast all the way to California. It's reasonably good and there are enough pumps, so that the diesel customers (me!) don't have to wait too long for the gasoline customers, unlike typical filling stations. The price for diesel fuel is a bit lower than most typically. Today, it was $2.979, which was about 8 cents cheaper than the next best station along I-5. The pump was ready to handle either debit or credit cards, something not all pumps do correctly. Everything worked smoothly, including the printing of the receipt. I've had a lot of trouble lately with filling stations not refilling their receipt paper at the pumps. Their prices in the store are rather typical of a convenience store, and while I will shop in there, I don't appreciate higher prices. I suppose there is a good balance. read more

The health and safety of customers should be the number one priority for business owners and managers. Loves is failing in this basic priority. I can look past the fact that the place often is dirty (bathrooms, parking lot, etc)...it is a truck stop so challenging staying on top of it all. I can understand how one person can possibly sneak by without a mask. However, to see more then three different groups of people in the store without masks and having the staff not requesting they wear a mask is simply not acceptable. It's not enough that it's a state mandate, it is the right thing to do and a way to demonstrate that customers' health and safety is important to the business. I come here often to fuel up and grab a few things but I am taking my business to the Flying J across the street and see if they value me and my health more than this establishment. One of the WORST Loves restrooms I've seen! Looked like it hadn't been cleaned I'm days! In the toilets and filthy sinks, floors, etc. Was afraid to find out what the showers would look like, so we decided to shower at the next stop. Smh Sidewalk area outside of the front doors, all the way down to the bench, could really use regular power washing because it currently doesn't look like that's something that ever gets done! Stopped here two days ago, my first visit here or to a Love's anywhere. I filled up for $75, parked, and went straight to their attached Arby's for lunch. There was no line in Arby's, ordered right away, ate, came out to my truck, and there was a "FINAL WARNING" card on my vehicle (see photo), saying that there was a one-hour max, and that I would be towed at my expense without further warning: the time scrawled on it was 10:25 AM. I had been in Arby's less than 25 minutes after parking: checking my receipt, I had paid at 10:39, which means the earliest I could have parked was about 10:35. Wow. I love this loves! Every single employee was friendly. We just got back into California from being on a 4000 mile road trip and our car couldn't handle anymore. Not up hills anyway lol. Poor old girl. So we stopped here and got to car shopping. We found a few places fueled up, ate nachos(old stale chips sadly) with all the toppings and a smoked cheddar jalapeño sausage. We then and made the slow trip to Sacramento and found no car. We traveled back down and slept here then showered in the morning and they're very cleaned and large. They supply a clean normal sized towel and wash clothes as well. The "soap" is the same soap as in the hand dispenser. There coffee was great and cheap and they had decent breakfast options. We headed toward Modesto and stopped at the loves in Ripon and it made me miss this one. They have blankets, clothings, hats and beanies, neck pillows pretty much anything you would need on road trip and they don't price gouge you. read more
