Big parking lot. It's $22 for a reserved spot. We tried to book online but the app just wouldn't work. It's a super busy place with lots of diesel pumps. Inside, there's a store, showers, laundry, a driver's lounge, Cinnabon, Subway, and Denny's. Washers and dryers are $2.75 each and only take debit cards; no quarters. Showers are $18 and pretty standard size. They have really hot water and good pressure. The Denny's closes at midnight except on Friday and Saturday when it's open 24/7. Flying J is nicely maintained and clean. Parking was easy and right by the front entrance. Women's restrooms are updated, spacious, recently mopped and tidy. There are abundant snacks, drinks and food options. A good place to stop on your road trip. read more

My review is just as an ordinary, non big rig driver. So even though the Flying J is a truck stop, I only ventured into the mini mart and gas station. This spot is always been my go to when I'm traveling through the area. It's super conveniently located. The restrooms are clean. Staff has always been great. The interior and exterior is maintained. Inside the mini mart is a Cinnabon and a Subways. First of all, the location is darn convenient, it's off Interstate 5 and on Highway 12. Highway 12 connects Interstate 5 to Highway 99. The restrooms are well maintained, they are located in the building with the Flying J mini mart and the Denny's. The mini mart is a mini mart on steroids. They got drinks (cold case, fountain, icees, multipack on the shelf), eats ( hot food counter, refrigerated packed salads and sandwiches), snacks,souvenirs, gifts, auto repair, OTC medicine, a Cinnabon, a Subways, and a bunch more. read more

I love going to truck stops! You can find just about everything you need....snacks, cold drinks, prepared foods (pizza, chicken skewers, corn dogs, fried chicken, potato wedges, salads, fruits) but other things too. Need microfiber towels to wipe down your car/truck...they gottem, air freshener because your vehicle is not smelling good and you have 5+ hours to go? Yep, it's there. How about do fresh hot coffee with all the add-ins that you will need. Cinnabon cinnamon roll bites..yep, it's there. Anything automotive related is there along with maps (yes there are still old school folks that prefer this). Cold water, sparkling, non-sparkling, flavored, not flavored, Smart, non-Smart, it's all there. Clean bathrooms!!!! Need I say more?? Brian was so disrespectful, I was waiting in line for Cinnabons, he was helping a lady before me, and I was next, he proceeded to leave the Cinnabon area with the lady while I was still in line and didn't even acknowledge me, I continued to stand there for another 15 minutes while Brian was standing there at the other register helping an imaginary customer, I proceeded to holler across the store for some help, and Brian said" be there in a minute " he proceeded to stand there helping this imaginary customer, then walked out the store..I was livid, the other guy next to him finally acknowledged me and said " I'll call for someone to come help you. 20 minutes later a lady came from the back to assist me. Don't get pay for a reserved parking spot unless you are already there and know there is one available. The whole point of reservations is to have a spot when you get there but they "stop knocking" after a certain time so you're screwed if someone is on your spot. Security is very rude as well. read more

The new self check out is a joke. Store is understaffed, and needs more cashiers. Not every one wants to use a self check out kiosk. We are truck drivers and need assistance with buying fuel, using the Cat Scale. Avoid this place and go across the street to loves or Flag city. Please get rid of the self check out read more

I didn't see the ugly side of this Flying J as other reviews shared. It can get quite busy, but bearable. They had RV lanes equipped with water and dump. You can do everything done in a single station. Restroom seemed decently clean to me. The best part? They have Cinnabons and wings! read more

Had been driving for several days, had guaranteed dinner reservations in Lodi, so stopped at this truck early afternoon Sunday to get a shower, shave, and do preventative wound care. They charge nearly $20 for a shower! I get stripped naked as a j-bird to get into the shower, only to find that although the shower was off and not dropping, that the shower floor was still wet and dirty. Then I see some shit on the shower floor! It's bad enough that the floor is still dirty (I don't want to catch someone else's foot fungus!), But I definitely draw the line with shit in the shower (I don't care whether it's human, pig, dog, cat, Big Foot, martian or some other kind of varmint shit). I loose another 45 minutes trying to get help, but whoever is working back in the showers was AWOL! Finally had to put my clothes back on, get all my shower & wound care stuff, hobble all the way back to the front. They said they paiged someone. A guy finally shows up, looking like some hill Billy out of some Civil War photo, with a long dirty looking beard almost to his naval! He confirms it's some kind of shit. Eventually moves me to a different shower. By then I was now an on track to an hour late for my guaranteed dinner reservations! I plug my cell phone into the wall sockets to charge, as my charge was rather low, then get into the shower. But there is no soap! I carry a brand new bottle of $20 Old Spice Thickening Shampoo which I hadn't even opened yet, just for emergencies like this. I take my shower, carefully put on my 100% cotton wound care (which I have to keep dry, so I doesn't whick moisture to my body, not dry out & cause infection), then check my charge on my cell phone, but the wall sockets wasn't working, now my phone is totally dead, I'm at least an hour late for my guaranteed dinner reservations, and I can't call them or the people I was supposed to be meeting , because instead of my phone being fully chargers, it is instead fully dead!!! I go and turn on the sinke faiset to brush my teeth and shave, but the end of the faiset is missing, so the faiset is spraying out our all over the room -- all over the counter around the sink, the floor, my clean close, me & my cotton wound care, which was the only change of wound care I had so needed to keep bone dry!!! By now I'm more than a hour late, it's after 5PM, at my reservation was for 5PM, so I'm going to get charged for a no-show, plus have to go out and buy dinner somewhere else. I go up the the front to politely complain, but the same incompetent shower attended comes up there and make up a lie about the shit on the shower floor, so they refused to reimburse me! I get to where I was going after Lodi, then realize that I'd been so distracted by the faucet ruining my only set of wound care, the wall charger not working, causing my phone to be dead, making me late for my reservations, I forgot and left my nearly$20 bottle of Old Spice Thickening Shampoo (used as body wash) in the shower because they were out of soap!!! I tried and tried to call the store, but no answer, sounded like it was rolling over to Corp. Customer Service, where I also couldn't get an answer for two days! The same POS lying shower attendant admitted finding my brand knew bottle of shampoo, and alleged that he threw it away. (He kept looking up & to the left as he told me that; he couldn't look me in the eyes! So I'm sure he took it home for himself!!! So his lying & incompetence cost my not only the cost of the shower (which wasn't in merchantable condition, a $20 Bootle of shampoo, two dinners, and about $200 in wound care, which I can no longer find anywhere at any price!!! I was just at this gas station about four hours ago. I used my credit card to fill my car with gas when I got home I got an email from my credit card company saying that there was a charge of $80.01 there was also a charge for $151.00 So I called the gas station. The so-called manager basically gave me the run around,he said he could look at the cameras and look up the charges. He left me on hold for 38 minutes. I called back talk to a different so-called manager he said that he knew nothing about the first call‍ he then told me that my bank does that like a pre-authorize charge and he said it was very common! I called my credit card company and they tell me they don't do that the gas station does it, so this gas station cost me an hour of sleep, this all happened between 2:30 and 3:30 in the morning, I'm really pissed off at the lousy management and I've been going to this gas station for many years! It's such a comfort to see the Flying J sign on the horizon when driving down the highway. Flying J is a one stop shop that truly has it all. They have hot food, sodas, toiletries, clean restrooms & individual showers with a dressing room attached for those of you who need to freshen up after a long drive. I always thought the Flying J was a stop meant for truck drivers but they welcome all patrons here and answer questions from travelers with a smile. As an added bonus this Has a small cafeteria inside with a couple of diner booths where you can comfortably enjoy a meal. read more

This is a truck stop. Has a restaurant which includes a small limited buffet...that evidently does not have much of a turnover. Very limited selection. The only items that looked somewhat fresh and were fairly hot and tasty were the mashed potatoes, gravy and the Chinese fried rice. I have to say the mashed potatoes (seemed like they were made from scratch) and the white gravy (had small chunks of sausage? in it) were quite tasty. The fried rice was good. There were about 3 pieces of chicken in tray that looked like they had been there for an hour...stuck to the bottom of the pan...and tasted like they had been there for an hour! The entire buffet did not look inviting. You know those small buffets that get limited traffic during the middle of the afternoon, well, that describes this one. The restaurant part looked clean and appealing. I do not have any knowledge of their regular dinners. The truck stop is nice...a nice store geared towards truckers and travelers. Had lots of travel supplies including all of the normal junk and snack food. Clean bathrooms. I would recommend ordering off of the regular menu. read more

A pretty good truck stop. It had the cheapest gas in the vicinity, which I usually find to be the case with Flying J and Loves. A few things to clarify, I am not a trucker. I just make a trip down to Los Angeles from Portland (and back) a few times a year. I've never eaten here, I've never showered here. I get coffee, gas, and a snack and that's it and this Flying J fulfills all those things with flying colors. They have 24oz "energy infused" coffee for $2 including tax. That's a pretty great deal. The icing on the cake is that they stock complimentary SToK. If you don't know what SToK is, it comes in what looks like a creamer container and ads a caffeine boost to your coffee. Adding 4 to 6 of these to their 24oz energy infused coffee really had be going for the rest of my car ride. I will definitely stop here again. Cheap gas, cheap coffee, free SToK. Dropping a star because their hot food is over priced. $5 for two slices of heat lamp pizza? Notnx read more

Me and my husband went on the road to deliver up north in Reno Nevada. While on the way back down we stopped at this Flying J to diesal up and order a Subway. The bathroom was clean and the store was very tidy as well. The reason I chose only 3 stars is because Kayla at Subway was very rude and short with me and my husband. Wow just left flying j's truck stop to get a treat from the Cinnabon cart for our evening and MARISSA the worker was a miserable asshole and acted like her job was super hard. All we wanted was fresh 6pack of Cinnabon. All she could do was argue about packing them up and not wanting to do her job. Super Bitch and Lazy!!! They got one star because her supervisor was great and told her how to do her job but MARISSA still was an asshole and lazy! They need to fire assholes like that. Richard was amazing today. My son wanted a toy truck from their truckstop (he's obsessed with everything trucks) this store is currently undergoing a renovation and didn't have all of the toys out on the shelves but Richard went out of his way to retrieve the toy trucks from the outside storage container for my son to look through so that he could get his toy truck! Made his day! Could have gone very differently as many places don't take such great care of their customers anymore. Not to mention he (Richard) was already being pulled in 5 different directions from employees and other customers needing his assistance yet still went above and beyond to help us!
