We were thrilled this wonderful TJ Maxx store opened in Stockton when we lost Bed Bath and Beyond…read more(& Big Lots not too far away). This store is always busy! It is very well managed, stocked, clean and organized. The cashiers are friendly yet efficient and usually keep the checkout line moving quickly. The store has security personnel as well as staff that restock during open hours, and some that monitor clean & spacious fitting rooms. The store has something for everyone at affordable prices! They display/sell clothing (all ages), shoes/socks, luggage & travel accessories, handbags/belts, jewelry (with attendant to assist), kitchen/bath/yard-ware supplies, organizer items, furniture, linens/bedding/bath supplies, paintings, frames, small exercise accessory equipment, gourmet gift foods, hair/nail/skin/handcare supply aisles, stationery and Arts & craft items, pet supplies/treats/bedding, other home decor, you name it! Items sell quickly and they are stocking new brands/designs daily. What you "see" might be a transient offer (you can ask); thus, you might consider purchasing it before it's gone! They have fabulous seasonal & Holiday items for almost every room of the house, for keeping or gifting.

I'm leaving a five star review because of receiving exemplary, stellar customer service from the…read moresales associate. My check out was extraordinarily pleasant, all due to the courtesy and congeniality of Rhonda. I appreciate the warmth and friendliness, a little open heartedness goes a long way. Her great attitude and sincere disposition did not go unnoticed. I send many thanks, for being so terrific at her job.

I like that Kohl's is a convenient place to make Amazon returns so I come here periodically and…read morealso look around the store to shop. It usually goes pretty quickly but they do have internet issues that may make the process take longer. I would like to shop for longer at Kohl's but it is SO stuffy in the store because there is no air ventilation. The stale air makes me feel nauseous and sick, especially if I'm circling around the store looking at things. I feel like I can't breathe well and if I stay any longer I might pass out. Even when it's cold outside, it does not feel nice inside -- just warm and stale. I don't know how anyone could be here for long periods of time. My breath gets more shallow the longer I am in the store and I get very warm. Wearing a long sleeve feels so overwhelming and even though it's cold outside, it makes me wish I was wearing a short sleeve so I can cool off. Maybe it would make it more bearable. I have only been here for 15 minutes and I feel so sick. I don't know how the employees manage their shift here. I think it's better in the summer because their AC is on but it has been unbearable this season when they do not have any air circulation on in the store. The only bearable spot is near the entrance where air occasionally comes through as the door opens. Now I try to quickly get out of the store instead of taking the time to look around. Please turn on your air, even if it is just the fan mode. No temperature adjustment needed. The workers are pretty nice and my experiences have been good thus far but my only problem is with the store and it's stale air. If they want to encourage shoppers and business, they should really consider on turning a fan on so that there is air circulation throughout the store to make their experience more pleasant.

Why would I need to stand in line to try something on before I know if I want it? Isn't that why stores have fitting rooms for clothing? I had just paid--- literally- 2 feet in front of him. He was watching me the entire time I checked out. I had a baby gift in an Easter Basket. As I walked out he market the basket lining with his yellow highlighter. I said why did you do that- it's a gift. He said the cashier told you I'd need to see a receipt. I said I'm sorry I didn't hear her say that- why didn't you tell me? As if I had marked up HIS stuff after watching him pay. Very accusatory and acting like I was making a big deal out of nothing. Everything I had was visible in the gift basket. I had a tiny cross-body just big enough for my phone and a tee shirt and leggings. Not exactly a shoplifting scenario. Ugh. Back to what happened-. As if his marking up my purchase wasn't bad enough he then licked his hand and tried to wipe off the yellow highlighter! Seriously. I just wanted out of there. I was starting to get upset. He said what do you want from me you needed to show your receipt. I said I would have happily shown it to you had you asked. I then said an apology would at least be expected because I didn't want to stand in the epic Ross line for a return. He then gave me a smarmy, tongue-in-cheek I'm sorry. Honestly. I can't believe I wrote this much--- but everyone else there was great and he ruined a gift, blamed me and then was a j*rk about it.
