This is a huge store. I worked at two Dollar Tree stores and only one was close to this size. It wasn't good or bad. I asked about the restroom and they don't allow customers to use their restroom. Things were decently organized but not great. I found the drinks I wanted and that was the main reason for my stop here. Customers and workers were getting along, which isn't always the case in Central Valley. They had two lanes open and balloons slowed down the process. read more

What I appreciate most about Dollar Tree is the affordability and price point of products. I usually like to buy cleaning supplies, plastic utensils, gift supplies, hand wipes, makeup, snacks, etc. This location on Pershing Ave is nice. It is well-stocked and has a huge selection of items compared to other locations in the Stockton area. There are usually multiple cashiers so the wait time is not as long. The customer service is always pleasant and friendly. I recommend coming here. read more

Absolutely terrible! I'm not one to give reviews about businesses but this experience was truly awful and not just this time but every time I go to this location it is a bad experience. They never have anything properly stocked It is either messily arranged on and around the aisle or still in boxes waiting to be opened. I often give grace for this because it is really busy with rarely more than one register open. Today was no different it was packed with one associate restocking and opening boxes while three other associates were on register at first there were two registers but then they partially closed one and reopened another which made the lines move around and people lose their spots in line because of the sudden closure and reopening elsewhere. Despite the lack of communication and organization I was still patient and waited my turn I even allowed others to take their spots in line back after moving. Once it was my turn I placed my gift bag full of items on the conveyer and was in the process of telling the associate that their were items inside when it slipped and everything spilled out to which I replied "oops careful" and she said it's fine, it's fine and I said yeah, I just don't want the sodas to shook up. Cue her dropping the soda on the conveyer and it landing on the floor which was fine I wasn't upset or angry because it didn't burst and I wasn't going to drink it right away but she replaced it anyways without me even having to ask which I was grateful for. I also mentioned once she came back that she might've dropped something else on the floor but wasn't sure. She did check to see and there were some fallen items which she began to scan and then made a comment about how merchandise isn't supposed to be in the bags but on the conveyer and I had replied "oh sorry I thought it'd be easier to keep them in the bag" and she immediately replied with "well it's not!" And tried to explain or argue her reasoning but I simultaneously said "okay fine" and then she just puts all my stuff away and tells me that I'm done there and I can leave to have a nice day and she'll try to as well. At this point I was confused because what the heck just happened and I asked her if she was serious or if this was a joke because I literally did nothing wrong I wasn't rude or disrespectful, I hadn't cussed at her or criticized her for any of her actions I was literally just trying to check out and I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or if she was on a power trip but she literally refused me service for not wanting to argue with her. I called her behavior ridiculous and childish explaining I literally did nothing wrong but she aggressively told me to leave the store! Even after asking for the manager who was coincidentally on break she was still just so rude and disrespectful for absolutely no reason I was so baffled, embarrassed, and slightly angry that all I could do was walk away a wish her a blessed day before I did or said something I would regret. But all in all absolutely terrible will never come here again and neither will anyone else I know! read more

Sometimes I go through my reviews and it seems like some of them are disappearing *smh* ....Well on to dollar tree :) I come to this dollar tree like once a week. They have everything that im looking for. I'll mainly get my cleaning supplies here though and flip flops for the kids. Also chips and junk food. The size of the store is nice and somewhat clean for the most part. But it will get packed . When the high school kids come in. Not saying there jacking the place up. But it's mad busy inside. If I'm having a party for the kids, I like to grab their paper products and get a few trash bags. The one plus, if you have younger kids. They sell a dollar mystery bag for a boy and a girl. It's packed with all types of goodies. My only complaint, would be Not enough cashiers, I wish they would have more of them during peak times. Other then that, I really never had any problems here. This is the safest dollar tree store I've ever been to, the armed security always makes me feel safe and I really enjoy the extra attention showed to us black customers. I wish every store had someone to follow you around making sure you're safe and finding everything you need. Good service like that is almost immposible to find anymore. read more

Dollar tree in Oregon gets their supplies from Stockton and the trucks that come from there have been pretty much destroyed or covered in bleach or spaggetti or maggots and it's disgusting and they look like they just THREW the boxes into the truck and it's a hazard of all kinds Edit: this place is a hazard as a whole. It's an old building that has non-electric registers in its basement that are gathering dust (from the 50's maybe?) What I liked about this store is that it was nice and clean! You really can't hate a dollar store to much can you? You know what you're getting when you walk in. Everything is a dollar! I did like seeing brand name items on the shelves. That was nice to see. I like just walking around and seeing all the stuff that's there. As if no one has noticed. I frequent this store regularly for my alter candles. The one thing is I enjoy using 7 day candles and these candles vary from 3-4 days, but for the price they serve wonderfully. They always have a great supply on hand and have never let me down. I do find other things there when I am just browsing. They have great party items, again the price is the winner. Sometimes it can be in a disarray but they carry everything. I've been to this Dollar Tree a few times before during my trips out to Stockton. It's right across from 99 Cents Only Store, which is their competition! It's pretty decent sized Dollar Tree and has your typical products that you'd find at most Dollar Stores. At times, this store can be messy but usually it'll be fine. Won't be too bad if you visit the store, you'll find many amazing bargains all for one low price of $1! Customer Service is your typical service. Lines will long because I mean, it is $1 store...and some customers tend to buy a lot of stuff because everything is sooo cheap!! read more

This place defiantly has good product for its price. It gets two stars because workers here aren't the friendliest. Whenever I walk in I feel like the staff is following me around as if I'm going to shoplift. Common now it's a dollar store! I enjoy visiting this dollar tree store and this is why: Pros: large variety of arts and crafts for you to get creative and crafty, awesome variety of party supplies in many different colors and styles so you are sure to find what you are looking for if you are planning a weeding or a birthday party on the cheap, they also have a decent variety of office supplies like pens, pencils, paper etc. for only $1.00 which is great if you have to purchase back to school products for your kids, they also carry a nice variety of household items such as glassware, plastic containers, jars etc. and oh yes also a large variety of seasonal decor for all your decoration needs. :) Cons: Compare to .99 cent stores which carries a large variety of name brand food and snack items dollar tree seems to not have such variety in their stores, yes they do carry some name brand items but not as much as .99 cent stores, another killer for me is the dam long lines and how rude some of the cashiers are, but other than that this is a pretty decent store, so I would definitely recommend you to try it. read more

This has been my go-to Dollar Tree out of the three since I've been living here, and I can usually find what I need. The store is generally clean, and you can count on them keeping their seasonal stuff ahead of the game for those that like to plan/shop ahead of time. I like that you can order stuff online if you are ordering bulk items and pick them up in store. I usually get party supplies and party favors here, and they have great baskets/containers for organizing around the home. The shopping center is a little sketchy but I usually shop her during the day and it's not so bad. read more

My mistake going in on a busy Friday. Should have left after walking in and seeing only two registers open with two lines backed up. I continued to shop hoping that another register would open or the lines getting shorter after getting a few items. I was wrong. Took me about 15 minutes to get to the register. A third register opened when I was about to placed my items on the counter. Instead of politely asking the next person in line to follow her to her register, she blurs out "next in line! " Everyone runs to her line. Now there are three long lines. Management please note, if the lines are backed up into the aisles, blocking access for patrons, and if there is a beligerent woman yelling to open up another line...please open another register. On a good note, the cashier was nice and polite. read more
