I've come to this location for years and it's only getting worse as time goes on, only one cashier for a line with 15+ people, comparable to Burlington wait times. I know big companies like to have few people scheduled to maximize profits but there was one cashier actually ringing people up, two behind the counter with their backs to the line talking, messing with tape/stickers, another worker tried calling up more cashiers but said to another worker "no one is replying" and I passed atleast 3 workers on the floor. The whole team needs to be retrained. So many people, myself included, walked out of line and it was still past the doors heading to the cart corral. read more

Marshalls always has something that you want to buy and this place is not an exception. There is always a plethora of items from clothes to home decor to pet needs that you'll usually find what you need. Before Marshalls was known for having more high end designer products, but unfortunately for this location at least there are very few. However, don't let that get you down there are still lots of things you can purchase for cheap. They had a really large section for clearance items that was about three aisles. However it resembled more of a thrift store with it being disorganized. Not Marshall's fault, probably the customers fault. They had a long line on the specific day I came and I'll say that they expedited through the line pretty quickly which is good. One negative is the parking. The entrance is quite a walk from the main parking area, and on a hot day or a rainy day, that is not fun. Some very rude & lazy customers service female employees & mangers there who are not very friendly at all!

Was in here few days ago. (July 2025) I kindly Asked one of the NEW employees stocking Halloween; about a item I was in search of. & hopes of finding; due to me being there during my break time during work.. Anyways.. was told by the NEW employee that, what I was looking for. Was in fact in the back, ready & processed; but however the manger rushed over to cut the new employee's head off, for TELLING ME "what I was looking for was indeed in the back & ready" just SHE (the manger) didn't want to bring it out YET. EVEN with me asking for 1... Manger definitely didn't want to bring it out on now my behalf on JUST ASKING; & the sideways headbitting for going off on the new employee, to then instructed her to for now to LIE & tell paying customers. "we don't have anything back there" this was the new employee first encounter with a situation like this so now; the manger made it KNOWN from now on, on what to say. I unfortunately had to LEAVE the store &. Have another related person go in & get me the 2 of the items I was asking for; for what I was being LIED to (misinformed) about all the sudden "not being back there" VERY, Unnecessary when I'm asking for 1 of the items & im paying customers. Isn't that the point of a business. You WANT customers to buy & come back. Please, correct & change. read more

I was in there not that long ago and there was a lady who I am pretty sure is a manager that spoke so awful to her employees, her name is Janet and the way she speaks to the employee is horrible. She needs training or something I felt so bad for the way she was talking to one of the girls there she was really mean. read more

The manager at this store, a young brunette girl, is extremely unprofessional. She scolded me like a child for grabbing my paid-for items from the counter after my pulling my car up to load several large items. One of the cashiers asked me to grab my items rather than wait because the store was so busy. That cashier should be spoken to about store policy, not the customer! Customer service should be top priority. Especially when someone is spending hundreds of dollars. I will never shop at this store again. read more

4/7/19 - I thought I would wonder around in the stores after church, and with the closing of Dress Barn on Eight Mile (Trinity) I figured I would find some cute dresses or skirts here; much to my disappointment that wasn't the case. I did buy a stunning pair of sandals and some housewares. They do have a large section for women's apparel. They carry name brand purses and wallets, a plus!! The men's' wear selection looked good and they also had little bagged snacks and gifts to purchase as you waited in line to checkout. Other than that, it was just your average store. After eating lunch we decided to go across the street into this Marshall's and it was a pretty interesting experience. This store seemed more organized compared to the one in our neighborhood. However, this one had lots of broken and stained things. Probably the most I've ever seen at a Marshall's. There were some great finds and I ended up purchasing and finding lots of things that I had never seen at our Marshall's. I did like the things I found and most of my purchases were from clearance. At this location you need a code to use their restroom. I was used to the walk in bathroom, with multiple stalls. But one thing that was pretty cool, they had fricken' layaway! The last time I saw layaway was at a K-mart where I grew up. Around 3, however, it got crazy busy. Given, it was a Saturday but, it was overwhelming. The parking was kind of weird too. We had to park on the side of the building near the area they get their shipments. We would probably come back here if we're in the area, there's lots of great finds here, just really look at what you buy before you buy it to avoid purchasing anything stained or damaged. read more

I haven't been in Marshall's in a couple years. I remembered why after today's trip. The clientele is awful. Every parent brought in their 20 kids and let them run around like it's a playground. The employees had to make an announcement over the intercom to "watch your kids." The makeup area is disgusting and unorganized with shoppers opening and rummaging through it all. Nope. I'll drive to Lodi my next Marshall's outing. 1 star because I have to rate it but also I did find something I was looking for. read more

Bought an electronic at this store for Christmas gift and didn't think to check the item before taking off the sticker and wrapping since it had security tags all over it and was an expensive item. Unfortunately it didn't work and the store won't take it back since I didn't have the receipt or the tag (policy, I get it). But when we opened the item it was obviously returned at one point, the inside packaging was torn up. A shame they put a damaged item back on the floor to be sold. Cashier next to her was also rude from the start for no reason I asked a simple question and she gave me a runaround and knew absolutely nothing about policies and no politeness. Now THIS is the Marshalls I used to know. The one that has tons of great deals, all available in my size, and easy to find. I grew up with great Marshalls and TJ Maxxes, but over the years, the selection and cleanliness of the ones around me have deteriorated. While they've never gotten to the thrift store free-for-all that Ross Stores have become, most Marshalls I go to are crowded messes that require the patience of Job to find a decent bargain. The outside of this place is pretty dank and nondescript - I expected a crap shop inside but figured I'd just check it out on my lunch break. I was surprised to see that they had so many top designer brands here. I know, I know - that's what Marshalls is SUPPOSED to have. But Marshalls typically sends different brands to different stores based on demographics....so I was shocked to see the number of top brands in this location (no offense, Stockton). There were full racks of True Religions, Theory, Laundry, BCBG....in the Bay Area stores around me, I'd be lucky if I found one item from those brands crammed in between a bunch of no-name brands like Poof! or Vigoss. (Then again, maybe this isn't the right store to have these brands if they are all full...probably means no one here wants to buy them.) It's been a looooong time since I've had so much fun exploring a Marshalls....I found some really great deals I would have never found in any other location.....can't believe I'm excited about something in Stockton (no offense, Stockton)! read more

It's not the store, but rather the customers that annoy me here. There is a careless tossing of unwanted items anywhere convenient for the shopper. Today the smell of skunk weed was nauseating. Been here a dozen times over the past 4 years and it is less pleasant by the year. The staff is wonderful, though and I found something today that I have not been able to find at other locations. Every time I open the doors of this drab building & walk inside to the bright fluorescent lighting, I feel like Aladdin walking into the Cave of Wonders. And before you think that my word choice of "drab" is negative, let me fill you in on a little secret: I love that this place looks so nondescript from the outside. I am adamantly opposed to any exterior makeover since the dull appearance prevents superficial people from shopping here (of the "that place looks so ugly!" variety), which means more deals for me! I have found the best deals on clothes, especially dresses. Great selection of styles & sizes, & for the most part, everything is fairly organized. Be careful with random browsing, though. If you don't shop with a purpose here, you will undoubtedly fall prey to the "I never thought I needed this [insert name of highly unnecessary item], but now that I've seen it, I...must...own....it!" It's not all that different from Abu touching the Forbidden Treasure. Just don't say I didn't warn you. read more

I have a love hate relationship with this store, here is why. What I love is all the cute home decor that they sometimes have, and compare to Ross this store is somewhat organize, and fellow shoppers are a little less ghetto than the ones that shop at Ross :) LOL. I love the shoe department for women, they have cute shoes most of the time at great prices, and some of the staff are somewhat friendly. What I hate is that their home decor items are usually over price, I can seriously find something similar in a good shopping day at Ross for half the price, I hate how their boys shoe department is so lame, compare to the girls shoe department which is full of cute stylish shoes and 4-5 rows long, they boys shoe department seems to always have the same style of shoes and is only 1-2 rows long. like another reviewer mentioned, the boys clothing department sucks too, they don't have a lot of selection in boys clothing. Hmmm Marshalls is definitely on the expensive side for my taste, but when I'm bored I enjoyed looking around this store even though every time I go I walk out with nothing lol, I will definitely keep spending time here, but no my money, unless I find something awesome one day. This place always seems to be busy. I've been able to get some really good deals here if I looked really closely. Prices are supposedly cheaper than department stores but I find the prices to be about the same. Staff is always friendly and try to work quickly to get customers through the line. I've lost my receipt a few times and they've happily refunded my money via a gift card. read more

Worst shopping experience ever! Went to return some items I'd had for a few days. Waited in line 5 minutes. Finally got called to a cashier, who promptly walked away to fold some clothes rather than assist me with my return. Then I was told I could not return a Christmas item that I had bought on Dec 29 because it was a Christmas item. I was never told at the time I purchased the item that I could not return it. After about another five minutes of haggling with the cashier and the manager, they "graciously" agreed to return it. I've been shopping at Marshall's for many, many years and cannot believe how poorly this store is run now. Will shop in Lodi in the future. read more

I went to this Marshalls during my lunch hour at around noon midweek in order to search the boys department and possibly find myself some shoes... Pros: I am not a fan of Ross/TJ Max or Marshalls as a whole because I have no patience for shopping even when the store is organized and you can walk into some of these places for it to look like a yard sale has exploded. This location was organized, clean with decent customer service. Cons: Boys are out of luck because this department was 1 rack of clothes and maybe 10 pairs of shoes. Parking is also not that great. I will definitely go back to this Marshalls. read more

Out of all the marshalls stores this one has the smallest makeup inventory & the makeup they do have is off brand. Upon asking them why they have told me that the marshalls that get more inventory are those near a freeway like tracy or modesto. Other than that if you just want beauty go elsewhere. read more

This Marshall's actually has a good selection! I loooove browsing their shoe section, there are so many good brands on sale here, and also the home section. They used to have a designer denim selection too which included Seven For All Mankinds, Joe's, Citizens, but I don't see them anymore =(... but they still have their Juicy Couture stuff. The last time I came in, probably last week, they had just rearranged their store and I like! This store is waaay better than the TJMaxx on Hammer and Ross on Pacific. I love this store but one time I needed to go to the bathroom really bad. I asked them and waited 5 minutes. I asked them again and waited another 5 minutes and then I asked them again. Idk how long I waited that time but I was literally about to pee myself. I came with my mom so I drove (idk how I managed) to a near by restaurant and had to come back for her. It was an inconvenience. Needless to say I was very upset. I go there so often and its a great place to shop. Im just sharing this experience so they can hopefully read this and that wont happen to anyone else. read more

A few weeks ago I came into the store, grabbed atleast ten items to try on, and Bee was amazing. Most people give you a look when you grab so much at one time because they think "great shes going to get 1 things out of these 10 shes grabbing to try and then I'll have to put the rest back"...nope not this lady, she even went into the dressing room to ask me if I needed to give her anything I didn't want or for other sizes. I vacillate between a 4 and a 5. Definitely a 5 for the shoe department. Housewares in this Marshalls used to be my favorite of all the discount department stores; until they moved the whole darn department-why on earth did they move it to the section of the store where baby clothes used to be? There's no room in the aisles and the lighting is lousy-why? why? Umm, the other thing I love about the store is when they put the already deeply discounted merchandise on clearance. Recently the store has been renovated and seems much cleaner and organized. Doesn't have a huge selection but much nicer than the Ross!

Every section has a lot to choose from and nothing seemed out of place .. Whether u r looking for clothes or decor I would definitely stop here before going some to pay full price. read more
