I don't understand how this location is so poorly managed especially compared to the Trinity location which generally is well stocked and cleaner. I shop at Kohl's regularly, but to save time I just did my first online pickup order here. I would not recommend it. They give you a number in the email when you make a purchase for pickup and when you come in, there are just rows and rows of bins with people's orders in them. There is no employee and I did not have to show ID or proof of purchase. Anyone could just grab anything out of any of the bins and walk out. Prices and selection here are similar to many other department stores in the area. If your money or time are important to you or ensuring the items you ordered are actually there waiting for you, I would recommend shopping elsewhere. read more

Good bargains can be found when they send a 40 percent coupon via email. Like most stores, they jack up the prices to make it look like you are getting a great deal. If something can be found in clearance, and you have a 40 percent coupon on top of that, you can really score. The pick up option is risky as there is no one monitoring the pick up bins. We love this store. My wife and I are always impressed with how they make there clothes etc. affordable even in today's economy. With the kohls bucks that come in the mail and coupons always too. We went a few days ago and both of us found new outfits plus a couple small things and with the coupon we had, plus using our kohls bucks our total went from almost $130 to $27 and some change ! What other store is giving deals like that. And name brand stuff too. Theyre just really generous with the coupons and kohls bucks so you can shop more often. This store scammed me. Don't shop here. Cashier rang up items that were buy one get free in two transactions and when I told her about the deal she said the sign the wrong. So instead of getting one for half off, I paid full for both. And no I wasn't gonna wait in that long return line. This is how they steal your money. I'm a little slow in getting around to writing this, but it happened during the holidays, and like most, I was very busy!!! I will start by saying that my husband and I do the majority of our shopping at a Kohls. We live in Tracy, and we don't have a Kohls, the nearest store is in Manteca, or Livermore. On this specific occasion, we were in Lodi and decided to stop and look around at the Kohls there. Our first impressions were not good and got worse as we walked around the store. As we walked into the store; we had to walk over huge amounts of leaves that had blown inside. I realize that no one can control the weather outside, but it was no longer windy outside, and the leaves appeared to have been there for quite some time. We walked around the store and as we got further into the store, it appeared that the leaves were not the only thing that got "blown around", figuratively speaking! There were clothes and other items lying on the ground and being walked on. At one point, I found an item that I was interested in and needed assistance checking on another size and color. I came upon two female employees standing together talking. While doing so, they were folding a few items on a display. As I approached them, within speaking distance, I said, "excuse me". Since I was directly behind them, I assumed that they heard me, however, neither of them turned to offer me assistance. I walked around to face them and spoke again. I asked them if they could check on an item for me and one said that she did not have a price gun. The other young lady said she could check on her phone but was not able to check on another store for me. She directed me to Customer Service. I went to Customer Service where I was provided with excellent service and felt like a valued customer by a young lady, who I believe her name was "Rasura", (I apologize for spelling it incorrectly). She was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to assist me. I asked her if I could speak to the manager on duty. A few minutes later, a young man came to the Customer Service area. Unfortunately, I did not get his name, however, when I brought all of my observations to his attention, and my disappointment in the state of the store specifically pointing out all of the leaves in the front and also the lack of employees wiling to assist shoppers, he did not seem surprised or concerned. I did share with him the one employee that did provide me with great service, and I directed him to the young lady working in customer service. This store definitely need improvement!! read more

As an online shopper, everyone knows you occasionally don't get the sizing right and have to go into the store to return a few things. Online shoppers do not always like to go into the store. If I am coming in for online returns, as I enter the front doors, a sign should read, "For Returns, please see Customer Service". I do not want to wait in line for 10 minutes or more only to be told at the register that I cannot be helped. An exchange was being made in front of me and it was a big one! I patiently waited for that. Put a sign up at front of the register line too asking for any returns to be made in Customer Service! After telling the gal at Customer Service about not knowing their store handles it by them only, I got a little chuckle. Not a ,"So sorry about that. I will see if we can get a sign up soon". And they have a point system that builds up quick. I went to Kohl's to purchase a pair of black perm press semi-casual pant. They didn't have any; only a pair of Levi 550 black denim pants. The lady helping me warned me that they will shrenk when i wash them, so i need them a couple inches too big, as they will shrink a couple of inches. The only thing that happened when i washed then is the belt loops started falling off! And they didn't, so i have to go around using both both hands to hold my pants up! But i cant do that, as i need both hands for my crutches!!! I keep going from store to store, but just get blown off, told they don't have any more that size, and back tomorrow! I try to call the manager a to every store in a two how radius, both they are too lazy or arrogant to answer or return my phone calls. I have been trying to exchange them for non-defective pair for abt least 6 weeks now, but just getting their royal run around!!! They seem to be specializing in defective merchandise, and hope be u wont go to the hassle of trying & trying to return them!!! When i call their corp office, i get the same run around, and worthless endless endless phone loops!!! I can see why most of their stores are going " belly up!!!" Woah who would have known you can turn a closed Mervyns into a really nice Kohls? I totally remember this building as Mervyns...I can say that because we used to cut school at Tokay High and come down to this shopping center for breakfast at Burger King. I never really cared for the Mervyns that was here but I got the chance to visit the Kohls here today and I was totally impressed! They had a great selection of clothes...I bought a nice suit here and was completely happy with my purchase. In true Kohls fashion the cashier was totally helpful and figured out a couple different coupons and got us an additional 40 percent off! I had a terrible experience at this location. I am very disappointed. Kohls is having a sale that's 50% off extra yellow tags ( clearance) I bought clothes shoes like I spent over $300. One of the shoes was Nike air, it was in a white box and the name plus size was written in that white box, the cashier refused to give me the extra 50% off because she said Nike is not included, I tried to explain to her that if it has the yellow tag it must be extra 50% off but all She did was arguing with me that it is not included and that was the final price for it. I did not want to argue more with her so I just told her it's ok take it off and left disappointed. The very next day I went to a different kohls where I bought some other clothes and Nike shoes for my kids and husband and that time the cashier had to do it manually because she said sometimes it doesn't ring up because the shoes in the white box don't have original box and we mark them manually and it's usually that's the only one on the shelf but as long as it has the yellow sticker it's included in the extra 50%. Unfortunately the one I found in the other store for clearance wasn't on clearance in that store. I went to another kohls only to be told the same thing. Once I got home I called this kohls Lodi location ( the shoe department) and she confirmed that she should have given me the extra 50% and she shouldn't had argued me in the first place and just ask her manager. She apologised and looked for that shoe on clearance but of course she didn't find, I believe they have another ones same but they are not on clearance since those ones have the original box and everything. I wish that kohls did something about this matter or offer me the same shoe for the price I was suppose to get it for. Last Stop: Kohl's I knew Kohl's would have good Long-Sleeve Pullovers... In fact, Kohl's distributes the best constructed Long-Sleeve Pullovers. Why? I like their Re-inforced Sleeve Hems. None of the Pullovers at JC Penney had re-infocement sewn in their Sleeve Hems. ALL of Kohl's Long-Sleeve Pullover Shirts have this kind of re-inforcement at the Sleeve... Sonoma, Croft & Barrow, or Chaps Surplus. Kohl's, it seems, dictates that type of construction in their Long-Sleeve Pullovers. Had to go to the Men's Clearance section as the current clothing line had already transitioned to Warm Weather Clothing. This is probably the worst KOHLS I have ever been to. The shoes are all different than what's labeled on the boxes. There's even different sizes in the box or the same side foot like 2 left shoes. 1 extra star for the somewhat low prices. Minus 3 stars for the HORRIBLE customer service. I wish I could like this store because it's in Lodi and seems like such a nice and warm store to vistit. However, both a woman named Laura in the customer service area and a thin woman with curly hair who always stands at the front of the store as you walk in, always seem to have a bad attitude and never have a smile on their face. In addition, the curly hair woman just stairs at people with a look of disdain. I would periodically walk around both workers just to see their reaction. I received one - nothing. No eye contact, no "Hi", no "can I help you find something" - nothing. Sad really because at Target and even Walmart they make an effort to least say hi. And this poor behavior from both employees was not just to me. They kept their heads low and eyes elsewhere but the customer. I was a manager at a retail store for 13 years and I would never allow this, especially for safety and shrink (prevent stealing) reasons. This store is far below it's potential. I've waited some time to write a review for this Kohl's because I thought I would give them a few chances. But, this store is a mess! The clothes are always on the ground and hanging off the hangers. It's gross. The kids toy section is very very dirty and scattered. A lot of the books are damaged but the prices are still high. At first I thought that I was only noticing the kids section being dirty (clothes, toys etc on the ground) but then as you go through each section of this store, you will notice some sort of dirty cluttered mess in each department. They treat their clearance items like they are garbage but still don't even offer that great of a price on them. This is not my first choice in Kohl's stores & I avoid it as much as I possibly can. read more

The short: In a town the size of Lodi your options nearby are really limited so if you need that last minute item and don't want to drive to Stockton. The long: I've you've been to one Kohls in the last 10 years you have been to this store. The only difference is that most stores have been upgraded and this one has not. The items they stock are basically what every other location has except the amount of stock is considerably smaller. The store itself is fine although it does often look like a tornado blew through here. The staff can be polite but they move at the speed of growing grass so do not expect any speed with your service. All in all it is a fine store just nothing special to write home about. I spoke up and they told me they would never get anything done it they rang up customers all day! I've got news for them! If they don't ring up customers they won't have anything they need to do! Yp me, this store has the worst track record with customer service. I went in to buy a pair of shoes but after digging through the unorganized mess of a shoe department I was not able to find an associate to help me find a different size. There was also no associates in men's, and the entire housewares section. This was probably why another customer decided it was the perfect time to walk out through the mens door with an arm load of merchandise. I didn't find an associate until I got to the door at women's where there were 9 associates. Three ringing up customers and 6 others hanging out and chatting. Tried to pick up an online order. What a fiasco. I waited in the correct line but they just kept calling people with returns to the counter who didnt have receipts and wanted to argue about the store credit they were receiving. After watching four people in the return line go to the counter finally a gentleman with a return told the clerk to please let me go next. lf Kohls wants to promote instore pickups they definitely need to step it up and figure out some routine that works. Had an online pick up today. To be quite honest I wish I could give them a -1 star rating, it was a horrible experience. I stood in a line specifically for online pickup & was passed over 3 times for returns. After 10 minutes, the not so friendly woman at the customer service desk said she can't do online pickups & sent me to another line, where I waited another 10 minutes. When that gentleman finished with his customer, the woman who couldn't help me called out for his help on something else at which time he turned to leave to go help her. It was at this point that I had no choice but to speak up & basically beg someone to help me. Another woman, who offered to help me as the man who was supposed to help me walked away, also couldn't do online pick ups. Apparently this one man is the only person in the store who has the ability to handle online orders. I was VERY disappointed & VERY displeased with the customer service I received today; the worst of which was being made to stay in a line where the woman knew what I was there for and knew she couldn't help me...very rude. The store itself is actually one of my favorites. Always good deals and I pretty always find good coupons. Pretty much all of my baby's clothes are from here and occasionally I find nice stuff for me or the house too. That being said...the employees are AWFUL. I spend tons of time and money in the store and never once have seen any of them smile. Most of them spend a lot of time standing around talking and blocking the walkways when I'm trying to come through with my stroller. No greeting or even moving out of the way. And the cashiers are the worst. Not pleasant at all. All they do is push their credit card to the point that I leave irritated. I get it, I've been a retail cashier for 10 years, I know you have goals you need to meet. But if I told you no thank you 3 times already, just let it go!! Then they get super rude and practically shove my merchandise at me without at least even a "have a nice day." 95% of the employees seem like they're miserable and hate their jobs. I get it. First time going there to pick up an online order. Wasn't sure how the line went so I didn't go right up to the front but was clearly visible to the sales associate. (she was helping someone at the time) By this time another customer got in the "regular" line and the sales associate was finished helping the previous customer. Sure enough the sales associate asked to help the customer that came after me. That customer was was nice enough to let the sales associate know that I was there first. I asked the sales associate is this the online pick up line? The sales associate replied yes but it still takes time for someone to get your order. Really?!!!! This made zero sense to me. I got there first. All she did was call someone to retrieve my order and match my ID to my confirmation text which took a whole 30 seconds!
