We've gone to Traci's Nails for several years. It's the largest salon I've been to with an enormous number of operators. My husband enjoys their pedicures and always chooses a "high-end" pedi priced around $55, not cheap by any stretch, but inclusive of several treatments. For those pedi's you select a box of scrubs, soaks etc., maybe lavender, jasmine, olive oil. It's great unless the technician forgets to use one of the components which happened on a recent visit. Though I've had gel manicures at Traci's, I stopped due to the quality of the service. Same thing with a polish on my feet. The polish doesn't look consistent, the edges wear quickly, and within a week, I feel like I need another pedicure. This isn't my primary salon. I love this place. I've been coming here for years. I go to Sandy for my fills and Hannah for my pedicures. I usually pay about $60 for my complete service. I get gel polish on my hands and regular polish on my toes and I love their variety of colors choices too. I've never seen so many variations of pink in my life. Lol. My favorite part of coming here is that they don't rush to do your service. They literally take their time and they really get in there -- from the scrubbing to the massage. I haven't been to a shop to get my nails done in easily five years, so it was a pretty big deal that I was getting them done at all. I also had an event that I was going to in New York that I wanted my nails to look nice for, so I decided to get a manicure and pedicure with gel polish because it's supposed to last longer than regular polish (and has in the past). I walk by the shop every day on my walk, and it has great reviews so I figured, why not?! My child had acrylics done for the first time and their nails came out very nice. We took pictures just after the service and I was happy with my nails and excited for my trip. The next morning (a Sunday), my right thumb had chipped near my cuticle, which is an extremely odd place for chipping to begin and I had done literally nothing for polish to be chipping anywhere, let alone in that spot. I went back on Monday to get it repaired and the ladies had big attitude! The woman who worked on my nail filed the area a little bit and painted over it instead of removing the gel and redoing it. It looked raggedy, but I wasn't about to ask this woman, who was clearly upset that I had the nerve to come back to have an error corrected, to fix it again. She finished and basically shooed me out of the shop and didn't really speak to me when she was done, she just got up and walked away, which was a 180 in behavior that I had seen from her on Saturday. The same day (Monday), a pair of shoes I ordered came in and so I tried them on. I wore them around for a few hours and when I took them off, my pedicure was smudged really badly. I immediately thought back to the salon, and remembered that they never cured the gel polish on my feet, she just let them air dry, so two days later after wearing shoes, the polish on my toes is also jacked up. So I head to New York with a messed up manicure AND pedicure because I had no time before an early flight on Wednesday. I don't know if they had the new girl working on me, but by Monday, my manicure looked like I'd had it for two weeks. Now at two weeks, they look a hot mess and the only reason I haven't taken it off is because I haven't had the time. Needless to say, I will NEVER go back to Traci's. read more

I called them to see if there's a wait, as one can never predict if it's busy or not. I was able to go in immediately for a pedicure mid afternoon on a Friday. Got in and waited maybe a min and was sat down at a station. I got a regular pedicure at $24 with French tips for $5. This is one of my go to places because they are friendly and efficient, the chairs are comfy, and I know my French tips always come out perfect. Came in on lazy weekend afternoon. I called about two hours before and they were able to accommodate me for a same day appointment with no problem. I got a deluxe pedicure with regular polish. The massage and scrub and polish application was good but the shaping of my nails was a little off. They're neither round or square and look a little janky if you look closely but who's looking. I wasn't paying close enough attention to notice if she only cut my toenails with the cuticle cutter and didn't file to shape. You get what you pay for. This is one of the cheaper pedicures I've had in the Bay Area. I would call the deluxe a regular pedicure (scrub and massage but no paraffin wax) for $27. Tech didn't paint polish to the bottom of each nail, so overall, the pedicure wound up looking like it was over a week old. Found out after the pedicure (by reading the "menu" that callous removal is an extra $6!! Had I known that a proper pedicure required an additional fee, I would have been forced to pay it. But I didn't know this when I asked for a "regular pedicure." Needless to say, the bottom of my feet are the same now compared to when I walked in to get a full, proper, professional pedicure. I walked into this place about 6:15pm on a Friday and there were three people working and two customers in there. They said they had time for a gel manicure. So I waited for about 15 minutes before someone was able to start on my nails. The lady who came to work on my nails had just been working on a pedicure and didn't was her hands. She looked at my nails and asked if I had gel on and I said yes and she sighed and grabbed the stuff to wrap my nails to take the gel off.she had an ATTITUDE the whole time she worked on me and looked so annoyed. The nail file the used was so big and so rough and she literally filed the skin off under my nail. (See picture) it hurt so bad I pulled my hand away from her multiple times and said it was hurting. Also I chose a white color for a base and a cool iridescent sparkle as a top coat. Well they put the sparkle on and after it dried, the other lady (who grabbed the colors for me omg he first place) came over to tell me it was going to look yellow and it's too late to change it. Soooo if you knew that, why wouldn't you tell me that before? Obviously I chose white, not yellow. So she grabbed some other random silver sparkle and put it on top and said "there not you can barely see it" which is true, definitely less yellow now. But overall horrible experience. NEVER going back. Not a very clean place. The nail buffer they used on my looked like it has been used for 6 months. read more

#3 AMAZING! Such professionalism, attention to detail and guest/customer concerns. I arrived about an hour ago with a hella painful ingrown toenail. It was so bad I was limping this morning. A friend told me that Traci's could solve my problem--no podiatrist necessary. #sweet I parked on the street quite easily, walked in and the ladies happily greeted me. I shared my "condition" and showed them my big toe with the ingrown nail and expressed my pain. They smiled, showed me to a chair with no wait and brought the gel colors to me so I didn't have to stand anymore, knowing my discomfort. #wow The whole time they worked on my hands and feet (and nail) they talked with me, made me comfortable and very welcome--regardless of my stupid toe nail. #byenailproblem I tipped the ladies more than usual for their care and concern. You guys shut me down with "we cannot take you" I've been to plenty of nail salons, if they can't take me they immediately try to take my information for an appointment or give me a time and day that they can see me. This place was recommend via Nextdoor so I thought I would give it a try. I am so disappointed. First off, the Gel colors were limited even though they hand you rings of samples but they are just the same colors. The color I selected, I was told does not last and chips away. Appreciated the honestly but why then are they offering this. If it ended looking good I could live with or bring my own my polish. Pedicure - shortest pedicure I have ever experienced. Not thorough and when I ask for them to push back and trim the still unsightly cuticles, they man had an attitude and refused. After 4 days the regular polish did not last Now for the gel acrylic full set of nails. It took way too long. I would have been ok with if they actually looked nice when I walked out. Mismatched lengths for the overall and mismatched shapes. Not to mention not the length nor shape I ask for and the rest of the hand did not match the nail I approved for shape and length. Oh and my gel is already chipping and peeling in 3 days I felt bad for them as they complained about business being slow due to coronavirus scare. Now that I look back, I think it is due to the fact they don't seem to practice the most hygienic practices and do such a poor job on your nails overall. Went here for a pedicure and gel manicure last week for the Thanksgiving holiday and had a terrible experience. The person doing my pedicure smudged the polish when helping me put on the flip flops and when I asked if she could fix it she tried to just paint on the spot leaving it very bumpy. I then asked her to redo the entire toe. While that was drying I showed her a picture of the nails I wanted (soft square) for my gel manicure. She didnt really seem to know what I meant and instead of following the picture she cut the sides despite me showing her the shape I wanted and just filing them since I already had the length. Super sloppy job. It's not even been a week and my nails are cracking. You can see the bubbles and sections where the gel top coat didn't cover. Will definitely not be coming back. read more

I was seated for my pedi almost as soon as I walked in and asked to pick a color. -place seems clean and hygienic. They open their instruments in front of you from sterilization bags - massage chairs Dislikes (this is being picky) -the girl who did my mani pushed a different color on me after I had made my selection. Idk why. I didn't want to argue, so I just went with it -decor is uninteresting. -it'd be cool if there were TVs on the wall facing the clients. This place is perfect. I don't often get my nails done, but when I do, I do it for about three months then decide it's too expensive and stop. lol! The place I used to get my nails done has gone way downhill, so I started searching for a new salon. I actually walked up and down Grand until I saw this place and immediately knew it would be the perfect mix of not too overpriced, not too fancy, but comfortable, reliable, and they would do a great job. They absolutely did a fantastic job! I have gone back a few times. I only knocked off one star because one lady kind of messed up my nail when I told her it was starting to split. She insisted it wasn't when it was, and I had to come back in and pay to have it repaired by someone else. But still, they're great and I highly recommend! They also are super clean and make sure to line their foot baths. read more

Came in around 2 pm today (Sunday) for a gel mani & pedi and it was clear that there was not enough staff. There were only ~4 ladies working, and all were with clients when I walked in. Waited 15 minutes before being seated for my pedi (which is perfectly fine imo). While looking for a color I noticed that A LOT of the polishes are old, separated, or dried out. Not a good sign. I have no clue what my nail tech's name is as she didn't say anything to me other than directing on where to put my hands/feet. She kept answering the phone during my services. Half way through my pedicure a bunch of other women came in and the staff accepted them all despite the fact that they all were already elbows deep with other clients, so I definitely feel like my services were rushed. During the pedicure the massage chair kept stopping so I kept having to re-start it which is pretty annoying. It seriously wouldn't massage for more than 2 minutes. Why have a fancy massage chair if it doesn't even work?! Toes came out looking cute but I don't feel like I was pampered - pretty standard pedicure even though I paid for the "deluxe." As for my manicure, I'm pretty disappointed. She shaped my nails totally crooked, painted the gel on super thick, and left my cuticles looking scraggly. Several fingers have bubbles in the polish. The color is cute though so I guess it's not all bad. I had to reshape my nails when I got home. Bottom line, I probably will go elsewhere next time. I just wasn't impressed with the service. Total was $53 (without tip) for a gel manicure and deluxe pedicure. FYI They only accept cash tips! read more

The ladies here were really nice and I loved the nails they did for me. Unfortunately the silk wrap was not buffed enough before the gel was put on so my initial set of nails actually started peeling on day 3. But I came in the morning when they opened and told them about it. They redid all the gel on the nails and that set lasted 3+ weeks (until I had it redone). Popped in on a Thursday afternoon with my 5 year old for a mommy daughter, impromptu, Mani, pedi! The spa chairs were nice, the foot scrub was good, the paint job on my toes & fingers was well done & has not chipped yet...it's been 1 week! My daughter's Mani pedi was only $12 total, wow! So why the 4 out of 5 stars? Well, my only knock would be that there was not really a big variety of colors to choose from, there are a lot of colors, but many are repeats or variations of the same color...also some of the colors looked dried out. So glad I found this place! All of the ladies in there are very pleasant, Hannah has hooked it up with the nail designs both times I've been in and I LOVE her work! She also told me they are able to do any color in matte which I'm a fan of. I think I have been lucky both times I walked in because I was helped within a few minutes, however they do get very busy, so I'm going to make an appointment with Hannah for next time. I'm sure the IPA flight at Aisle 5 across the street before hand helped me relax a ton but I am feelin real real good right now. I'm furious! This is the 3rd and final time I give this place a try. I called knowing they'd have a Saturday rush, and they told me 3PM. I arrived and still had to wait 10 minutes. My mani was rushed, so rushed I had to ask the woman if everything was okay. She mumbled something about another customer (who I saw she later had to fix something on-- I overheard her say her polish was uneven) and slowed down a little bit. It was stressing me out! She criticized how short I wanted my nails done. At which point I decided to tell her that I didn't want polish anymore-- I saw where this was going. The whole manicure took about 10 minutes. She left my nails horribly uneven. When I asked for the manager and complained she didn't apologized simply told someone else to fix it. I refused and said I didn't think I should pay but they were already running my card. She offered to give me credit for next time, but I declined as I will not be returning. The last time I went in, similarly my pedicure was rushed and I had to even out a few nails at home. The woman doing my friend's pedicure berated her for not getting the scrub, and saying she really needed it, in a judgmental tone. I should note that my pedicure was very pleasant. It's unfortunate that my relaxed pedicure (by a different women) was ruined by her coworker. This place is not even worth trying out. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! read more

I hate to write this review. I would rather keep this place a big secret all to myself but I will be nice and share. This is the only place I like to go for Gel Manicures. Why? They never peel off of my nail. Even though I wash dishes and forget to use gloves, my nails stay beautiful for 2 weeks! They are really really good. And they love my banana bread so they get 5 stars from me. I get the luxury spa treatment pedicure and get the green tea and honey treatment and massage. It is my one thing that I do for myself that is just for me and no one else. I recommend them highly!!! read more

Hubby and I had a ridiculous experience here on a thursday afternoon. He got a mani/pedi. They left his nails jagged and uneven. Like just because he's a man you don't have to trim his nails properly?! They also charged extra for callous remover and didnt remove the (minor) callouses/dry skin. Its not like his feet were a mess to start, he takes care of himself. As for me, terrible pedi, paint left on my skin, toenails different lengths. My gel mani was left uneven across the board, no polish on the tips of my nails...they looked a week old when i walked out. Could not achieve the shape i walked in with! They ended up not charging me for my nails because i had no more time for them to fix them but i couldnt get the 2 plus hours we spent back. Unfortunately, I'll never return. There's only one person in the place who can actually do nails well, if she's busy you're in trouble. As a side note, they also have a habit of arguing with customers (3 times now) and then complaining about it to other customers when they leave. Very unpleasant. I don't wanna hear that, im trying to relax! This trip was the last straw. read more
