This place is absolutely amazing. The owner is friendly and always present. The pasta and sauces are freshly made and you can definitely taste it. Fresh quality and friendly staff. Always a must when in Malibu. Don't pass on dessert! You'll thank me later. read more

An amazing neighborhood Italian restaurant at this outdoor shopping mall. We sat outside which was relaxing on a nice sunny day. We decided on soup of the day, veggie pizza, young chicken and salmon special. Also sparkling water and iced tea. The food was light in big portions. It took 45 minutes to make the chicken and it was so delicious. More people came in for lunch and they seem to be regulars at this place. I can see why this little Italian place is popular here. The food and service were great. We had a very pleasant Italian lunch! read more

The guys taking care of us were all so sweet & attentive. Food was delicious and it was such a nice evening outside.

Beautiful location, delicious food and I loved that they brought a basket of bread before the food

Sometimes Malibu surprises you in the best way. I was in a rush for a business meeting, parked nearby, and needed something quick but good. That's when I stumbled across Tra di Noi Express -- and honestly, it couldn't have been more perfect. The setup here is casual but stylish: outdoor seating under big green umbrellas, surrounded by trees and a light soundtrack that makes the whole patio feel relaxed. Even though I was short on time, the vibe instantly slowed me down a little -- Malibu has that magic. I ordered the gnocchi with tomato sauce. They came out hot, steaming, and full of that homemade flavor you want when you grab Italian. For a fast-order spot, it's impressive how fresh and satisfying the food feels. The portion was plenty for lunch, and at about $19, it matched Malibu pricing but didn't feel over the top. Service was straightforward and quick, exactly what I needed in that moment. No fuss, no wait -- just good food, good setting, and back on the move. If you've got time, it's the kind of place where you could sit under the umbrellas with a glass of wine and let the afternoon pass slowly. But even for someone on the go, it works perfectly. 5 stars for convenience, taste, and that Malibu outdoor charm. I'll be back when I actually have time to linger. read more

I would only recommend this place for lunch, especially if you have kids and one a nice place to hang while they play. Decent salads and good pizza but dinner entrees are really weak. The food quality's gone down quite a bit over the years actually forgot about this place until a friend suggested we go there to meet after work. It was just as meh as the last time. They were out of the item we originally ordered, I got chicken piccata and the only flavor it had was salt, and lots of it. Service was attentive, I did ask for extra vegetable no mashed potatoes, but that request was not honored. I ended up being glad because I didn't eat the chicken and was glad to have something other than vegetables. Midweek prime dinner time and there was a party of eight, two parties of one and our table of two the entire time we were there. Pretty sad as I hate to see our standby restaurants struggle, if your food doesn't measure up, you're going to lose the locals. Hopefully they can make it up on their weekend traffic and maybe work on getting the quality and flavor up. read more

You want fine dinning mixed with indoor or outdoor seating. The food is superb. The wine selections pair well with the food. Go and see for yourself. Malibu how could it not be outstanding. read more

Took my wife out for some pasta, we came upon Tra Di Noi and it was a hidden gem. Food came out hot and very tasty, the over experience was a great. We got the calamari for our appetizer and my wife thought the carbonara was amazing. I got the seafood pasta and ask for it to be spicy, the spice was lacking but the flavor was on point. Overall great dinner experience in Malibu, anyone looking for a great pasta joint, should give them a try! read more

We really enjoyed the outdoor seating area. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing. The food was good, and the staff was friendly. The only downside was that it took quite a while to receive our appetizer and main course, and they were both brought out at the same time. read more

It is our favorite spot in Malibu Country Mart...i love the window ordering/pickup for a delicious and beautiful picnic in the park! We ordered the margarita pizza, penne arabiatta with grilled chicken and the pepperoni pizza! We went back for three times for lunch during our visit to Malibu! The staff was super friendly and the food was so good! It is a wonderful place for delicious Italian food, whether you are "on the go", taking time for a picnic or dining at their restaurant. read more

I ordered from the take out window and sat outside to eat. The menu has pizza, paninis, salads, and pastas. My food came out within 10 minutes, service was excellent, and food was even better. The vegetable panini with eggplant, zucchini, tomato, and mozarella is something I could eat everyday. I had pesto added to mine and they weren't stingy. It was a beautiful day outside and the center was bustling with families. The takeout window is the way to go! read more

Went to lunch here on Saturday with my mom and we absolutely loved everything we ordered. We sat out on the patio which is perfect for people watching and enjoying the nice weather. Once we ordered they gave us a warm bread basket with three types of freshly baked bread and a delicious olive tapenade. 10/10 For Starters: Tonno Tartare (tuna tartare) - this was 10/10, amazingly fresh and came with perfectly toasted crostinis. So so good. Eggplant and Zucchini Parmigiana - absolutely amazing, we highly recommend getting this. Very flavorful, light and the perfect portion size for two to share. 10/10 Mains: My mom got the Spaghetti Carbonara - great portion size, lots of bacon, and the perfect balance of flavors. Margarita Pizza - I asked for extra well done crust and light cheese. This was cooked to perfection and so yummy. 10/10 recommend. Great location, great service and amazing food. We're Italian so it's hard to find Italian restaurants that live up to our expectations but we both absolutely love Tra Di Noi. read more

We've been coming to Tra Di Noi for years, and it's always consistently delicious. We've even catered parties from here and have never been disappointed. The owner is always present, making sure service is warm, guests are happy, and everything feels welcoming and authentic. The food is fresh, comforting, and beautifully prepared. One of our favorites is the pasta finished in a Parmigiano wheel with shaved fresh truffles. A true local gem...go for the pizza and stay for the patio. read more

We enjoyed our overall experience here at Tra di Noi. The service was friendly, prompt, and very attentive! The food was absolutely delicious. My friend had the Sole and thought it was good as he ever had. My Lasagna was also delizioso. Our server Luigi was engaging and made sure we were taken care of. For a nice lunch or dining experience in a small, quaint eatery, try Tra di Noi. read more

The food and service are both amazing. Luis treats you like family, very attentive, professional, and makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. This is definitely a go to spot in Malibu. read more

Carbonara is the backbone here. Rich but controlled. Egg-forward. Pepper loud enough to remind you it's Italian, not creamy pasta cosplay. Guanciale energy without being greasy. Noodles grab the sauce and don't let go. This is a confidence dish. No garnish flex. Just technique. Ravioli rosa leans comforting. Pillowy pasta. Filling on the mild side. Sauce slightly sweet, slightly creamy, very forgiving. It's the order for people who don't want surprises. Warm. Familiar. Easy to finish without thinking. Margherita pizza stays respectful. Thin crust. Not floppy. Not cracker-dry. Tomato sauce tastes cooked, not raw. Mozzarella melts evenly. Basil where it belongs. This isn't pizza chasing Instagram. It's pizza meant to be eaten with a fork if you feel like it. Prosciutto pizza turns it up quietly. Salty meat laid clean. Greens cut the richness. Cheese doesn't overpower. Balanced. Adult. You eat this slower than you expect. Salads do real work. Beet salad is fresh and earthy. Burrata and bread basket come as supporting acts but land every time. Olive oil matters here. You can taste it. Food here isn't trying to impress strangers. It's feeding people who already know what they like. That's the appeal. Service is hands-off. Slow by design. You're not rushed. You're not sold. Wine shows up when it should. Plates clear quietly. The patio does the heavy lifting. Calm. Leafy. Grown conversations. Afternoon light. People lingering because they planned to. No cameras out. No scene kids. Just locals stretching lunch into dinner. This place values restraint. Taste over trend. Time over hype. It's giving... weekday lunch with your therapist who drives a Volvo and tips heavy. read more

We were invited here for a family event and this place delivered on all fronts-- the service, the food, the atmosphere-- all grade A. The traditional Italian dishes were well prepared. We started with a lovely margherita pizza which was thin, crispy, textured with primo tomato sauce, basil, and mozza. I had a very delicious ravioli rosa smothered in a rich pink sauce. The Caesar salad was excellent, and you can add chicken or other items to it. Other items definitely worth trying are the linguini with clams and lasagna. Our servers were very attentive. This is a classy place worth checking out in the middle of the Cross Creek Shopping Center. read more

If this is your only option, then it will be alright; however, I strongly encourage you to look at the other restaurants that are within walking distance. The food was alright but it definitely not worth the price point. I don't recommend this place at all. Service was nice and the ambiance was okay but I'm wondering if that was just because there was hardly anyone there. read more

Tra di Noi - Italian Near Me - Malibu, California

Possibly the biggest fraud place in Malibu! We went to sat down asked if the restaurant is affiliated with the "ToGO" order window next to the restaurant he said now. We said ok sorry can we have the bill for the sparkling water we ordered so we can go next door. He said sure (it was $13 bottle of sparkling water) we went to the window to order the two Hispanic guys standing. Right away closed the window and we asked if it's the same kitchen he said yes's this is fraud read more

I went to have a nice lunch with my granddaughters. great atmospher, nice waiters. But where the service went sideways is when a waiter asked if he could fill up our water, to my surprise instead of flat he brought a bottle similar to our waiter. Howeve? charged $24 dollars. Then we get to taking home the leftovers but I failed to confirm them and I did get my pizza. I called the restaurant and told the person what happened. He said, nothing we can do. I said your buss boy didn't put it in my bag. nothing I can do! I asked for the manager and the same person came back on the phone and said we can give you a half of pizza. Really! I'm not driving back to pick up a half of pizza when I live 45 minutes away. Very disappointed at this restaurant. read more

Love this restaurant! The food was amazing and our waiter Luigi made the experience just perfect.

We had an amazing experience at Tra di Noi in Malibu, and a big part of that was our server, Luigi. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. Tra di Noi is one of our favorite restaurants--a regular stop when we are in Malibu. The food is delicious, traditional, close to perfection Italian. The staff is welcoming and wonderful. We arrived late on a recent Saturday night, sure they were no longer seating. But the very attentive Luigi and delightful staff welcomed us with smiles. The restaurant has two lovely quiet patios surrounded by greenery with perfect lighting, umbrellas and heat on cool Malibu evenings as well as charming indoor seating. The patios overlook the central courtyard of the historical Malibu Country Mart where a playground entertains the children while adults can watch over them from the patio. The whole family enjoys the experience. read more

Just alright. We had the eggplant/zucchini appetizer (flavors were great, but the dish, which is baked, came out cold), caesar salad with grilled chicken (nothing special), and the veal (overcooked and dry).
