THE BEST PIZZA!!!!!!! Absolutely incredible experience. Genuinely felt like we had been transported straight to Italy. We ordered a variety of pizzas and every single one was outstanding- perfect crusts, unbelievably fresh ingredients, and that authentic, simple flavor that is so hard to find. Even my gluten-free friend was in absolute heaven... which is VERY rare The lemon ricotta cake was to die for- light, fresh, perfectly balanced, and honestly I would have taken the whole cake home if there had been any left!!!!! We also took home a loaf of their sourdough bread because it was just so damn good. You can truly taste the quality, care, and passion in everything they serve. Easily the best pizza we have had in California. Such beautiful people, such a warm atmosphere, and food that genuinely makes you happy. Already counting down until we come back!!!!! read more

Forget Malibu.. this is the best pizza in LA. The owner offered to doctor up the sausage jalapeño pizza by adding arugula and hot honey--chef's kiss. Also tried the fig/bacon slice.. 100/10. This time I visited them at the Farmer's Market in the Kaiser Woodland Hills parking lot. Rene was there with possibly his wife, seems like a really nice Family and a great business they have here. They have fresh baked bread to buy as well as made to order pizzas in a wood fire brick oven onsite, great set up great vibes when you walk up. They were very nice. I ended up getting a pepperoni pie and a margarita pie, not sure which I liked more, but both were excellent, the dough is what the know and when cooked right makes all the difference vs my first visit. Crisp edges, chewy and great flavor. The toppings are sourced from local and farmers markets, they were tasty and ratio was distributed well. They have won me over. Now to the bread, I got the Olive sourdough (my favorite of the two) and a cranberry walnut sourdough, which was great as well. Hard to choose as they are different, but I think I could eat the whole Olive loaf in one sitting. People rave about their bread and now I know why. They use organic ingredients and only salt, water and flour in their breads. Whatever they do, keep doing it, very very good bread. I want to thank Rene and his Wife (assuming, if not apologies) and his family for making my experience excellent the second time around. Go support them at the Farmers Market in Woodland Hills (Thursday) Malibu (Sunday) or Northridge (Wednesday) or their ghost kitchen in Chatsworth. I understand businesses have closing procedures, but it was disappointing that there was no outdoor seating available, especially after making such a long drive. We ended up eating while standing because we had our puppy with us. The one positive was the pizza itself. It was delicious, and we genuinely enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, good food doesn't make up for poor customer service and an uncomfortable dining experience. As someone who works in customer service, I understand how important it is to make guests feel welcomed, regardless of the time of day. A little kindness and communication go a long way. I really wanted to love this visit, but after driving an hour, I expected a much better experience. Great pizza, but the hospitality definitely needs improvement.
