    Lobster bucatini

Loved this location so much. It's right next door to Nobu Malibu and the view of the ocean is gorgeous. Valet parking available. This location had a lot of families with small kids present so the vibe was more laidback. We had lunch here and we appreciated how often the manager came to check in on us. For the four of us, we ordered the lobster bucatini, crudo, green salad, cod, and crudités. For dessert we got the Eton Mess and cookie crumble with ice cream on top. Everything was so tasty and pretty. My favorite was the lobster bucatini. We all got some cold pressed juice to drink with our meal and ended with some matcha lattes (we needed caffeine to wake us up after the feasting we did). Plenty of seating to do work and again, the view of the water can't be beaten. There is beach access so I would suggest bringing your suit and a paddle board or surfboard if you have time to play in the water.

This is a beautiful place by the ocean. The food quality is okay, but what really stands out is the amazing design of the space, the opportunity to dine by the ocean, and the calming sound of the waves. However, it can get quite busy on weekends, making it hard to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The food service was slow, with multiple requests for water and forgotten orders. The valet parking is also super slow too. Considering it's a members-only place (and the cost is not low), I expected better service and management. Despite these issues, I'll be back during the week for a lovely and peaceful experience. It's a perfect place for working and looking at the ocean

FOOD: The food was really good. I think my entire table liked the eggplant the most. AMBIANCE: You can't take pictures inside (probably because a lot of celebrities goes there). But everything was really nice. I feel like just from the view pictures I have of the outside, you can tell it's very well kept and modern. SERVICE: Never had to wait for my water to be filled. I felt like our waiter was very attentive and made good recommendations.

What better way to spend a sunny day than to have a meal right on the beach? Picture this- you're sitting next to the waves, the sun is beaming on your face and your margarita and poke bowl have just arrived. You take that first sip as you listen to the birds and waves crashing. Heaven on earth! I can't say enough good things about this Soho House but I may be biased because I love the ocean. Great food and drinks- different menu than some of the other Ceccioni with of course some of your favorite house tonics (Picante anyone?) The food is great, mangement and service are wonderful and you can't beat the vibes!

People complaining that its private or expensive, what ? Its a private club, whats confusing? The none member pissed about not getting a table at labor day party, howd you even get in? Never allowed. It is what it is, dont get pissy about it when you cant get in. Service is FINE, location is insane. Heres a pic of the new cookie. Go to nobu if this infuriates you

February EDIT: I'll still keep this at 4-stars-but to the server 'Janet L' or 'Jhonny G': did you Really have to add extra to the tip? Perhaps one of you needs to learn how to key in the numbers properly. Since I'm not a member, I won't fight it and most likely, members at this caliber don't need to/ever check their bills...just a heads up for those few that may. When granted a wish of which House I wanted to see, I chose Little Beach House Malibu specifically due to the fact it is not included within an 'Every House' membership. Meaning, I might never get the chance to visit ANY location again so I might as well make it this one. My contact came out to greet me and I was ushered in immediately, trying to take in everything as I was given a mini-tour. Since this is supposedly smaller than the other LA locations, it wasn't too much to take in. After the brief walkthrough, I took a table upstairs. Perhaps since it was January, it wasn't as packed as it would be in the upcoming spring/summer months so there were random open spots throughout. As I settled in with some work to do, I ordered the truffle fries a little after 12:30p. However, once the fries with ketchup came, food took priority. This were a good portion and worth the money, not skimping on the truffle oil. Considered this my appetizer as I admit I pretty much ate my way throughout the day... Speaking of, I migrated downstairs where I ordered my main course: the Dirty burger. This '3 to 6' menu option did not come with fries which was okay since I enjoyed some a few hours prior. They also offer a LBH* burger variation as well as the Dirty, so make sure you order the correct one. I highly recommend the Dirty as mine was freaking fantastic and I finished off the whole thing without looking savage in front of people I don't normally associate with. After feeding, I finally took out my laptop and plugged in my headphones where I resembled everyone else who was solo. I finally felt as though I fit in! Wrapping things up, I ordered the chocolate chip cookies (3) to go. As for the service, yes it was more of a miss (water refills anyone??, not very attentive, etc.) but I'd rather focus on the sole HIT which was a gentleman by the name of 'Rodrigo.' He started with me upstairs and I wish I could have continued downstairs with him, but I stayed on way past his shift, so that is my loss. Two ladies at the front reception area (a brunette and an Asian girl) were also sweet and helpful! Valet guy kindly answered my lame questions. Take note: -$10 valet (for the whole day) -no photo booth -no candy area (lbh**probably a blessing in disguise) -no screening room -no pool table The photos I am posting were taken off-site; as I was just a guest here of someone vital and I didn't want to make a poor impression on them or the business since I know the rules. I actually denied bringing another friend since I figured it would be an issue with certain/most people nowadays of ANY age who simply can't go without taking a damn photo (of anything/themselves). That being said, I enjoyed my day here and I'm happy I was able to experience it freely during the time I was welcomed. *Little Beach House. **let's be honest.

Some people may not love the counter ordering setup, but it moves quickly and I actually liked it just fine. My margarita was tasty, not too sweet, and came out fast. I ordered a combo with a hard chicken taco and a chile relleno with rice and beans. The taco was delicious. I added extra salsa because I love salsa. The beans come in an edible cup, which is both delicious and slightly dangerous because it will fill you up fast. In an effort to pace myself, I did the unthinkable and pulled the batter off the chile relleno and just ate the pepper with the melted cheese inside, which was fresh and wonderful. My fellow diners were very happy with their beef enchiladas and chimichanga. One thing I really liked is that when you are finished you can simply get up and leave. No waiting around for a check. Not to mention the so called shutdown was against ICE enforcement activities which is disturbing. And in a way, that's exactly what El Sancho Cantina is: an escape. A secret. A little taste of something else. Whether you slide in for lunch, happy hour, or dinner, El Sancho is where you come to cheat on your routine. Tucked into Thousand Oaks, it's a getaway hidden in plain sight. Sit at the bar, let the cool breeze drift through, and allow the Spanish ballads to work their magic. For a moment, you'll forget where you are--and believe you've wandered into a dreamy cantina somewhere deep in Mexico. Start with the "El Viejo"--their riff on an Old Fashioned. Let the applewood smoke swirl above the glass as you lean in. The aroma hits first, then the deep flavors of añejo tequila and Mexican whiskey settle in with smooth confidence. Sip slow. This isn't a race--it's a seduction. If you're looking for something a little lighter--a healthy balance between indulgence and intention--try the two taco plate with the green salad substitution. I went for one Potato taco, one Shredded Chicken taco, and swapped out the rice and beans for a salad of mixed greens and cucumber, dressed with balsamic vinaigrette and a squeeze of fresh lime. The flavors were bright, clean, and satisfying. I walked away full--but not heavy. If I was meeting my Sancha after, I could've easily gone for a stroll. Maybe even dessert. But don't let me lead you down the wrong path--the tacos and cocktails are already all the temptation you need. And if that post-lunch lull starts to creep in, fight back with the "El Cafecito"--a soulful wake-up call of Licor 43, Kahlúa, cold brew coffee, and chocolate bitters. My personal pick over an espresso martini--bold, smooth, and unapologetically delicious. So yes, you might be cheating on SoCal for an hour with Mexico vibes, but El Sancho doesn't judge. In fact, it invites you back--with open arms, a strong pour, and just the right amount of trouble.

To start with the positives, because there were some, the service was outstanding. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, attentive, and professional. Our espresso martinis were excellent, and my fiancée's food was genuinely great. She had the seabass, which was perfectly prepared, and oysters that were fresh and enjoyable. Unfortunately, my meal was a completely different story. I ordered the hanger steak with scrambled eggs, and both were overwhelmingly salty. The steak was over-seasoned to the point of being barely edible, and the eggs were so salty they were simply not edible at all. I tried to push through because I know I'm someone who watches sodium and restaurant food can sometimes taste saltier, but this was far beyond that. This was excessive. The guacamole and pico de gallo also tasted like they had been sitting out far too long, clearly not fresh and likely from the day before. I ended up sending the food back, something I almost never do. I wasn't expecting a full refund, but I was surprised that there was no effort made to offer any kind of discount. To be fair to our server, I didn't make a big scene, I simply said the food was too salty to eat. In hindsight, I probably should have taken the offer to have it remade, but at that point my appetite was gone. What made it worse is that I left the restaurant still hungry and really disappointed. It's especially unfortunate because we had actually been considering this restaurant for an upcoming graduation reception. After this experience, that's completely off the table. We won't be returning. It's frustrating when a place can clearly execute well in some areas but completely miss the mark in others. I truly hope this was just an off day, but based on this visit, I can't justify giving it another chance.
