Shrimp Ceviche

I'm shocked this place doesn't have a higher rating, my boyfriend and I had a great time here. We split the fish tacos which were some of the best I've had, and the rice that they came with was delicious. We also got ceviche, chips and salsa and a prickly pear margarita. The restaurant itself was super cute and the staff were awesome. Everything was 10/10 and we'll definitely be back, this is for sure one of our new fav spots in Malibu.

I know people have mixed feeling but I think you just have to order the right things The fish tacos are great, the salmon burger is fire, the salmon was good. We made a reservation for 16 people one day before pre-grad night for a late dinner and they were able to accommodate us, great for large parties!

Excellent location, wonderful Malibu restaurant. Enjoyed my drink tremendously, the Manager even went to get the bottle for me from the back, and the food was on point. Great for locals and tourists alike. It's so moody here at night, really love it!

Stopped by to check out this cuban hideaway by the beach. Service was decent and food was good. They've got a great covered outdoor patio where we enjoyed our dinner and the drinks were delicious. Definitely not a bad spot to stop by if you're in the area, though better cuban food can definitely be had elsewhere. Solid 4 out of 5 stars!

Chicken Enchiladas

The food was amazing in the place. I really liked the chicken tinga tacos. Only thing is that the corn tortillas fall apart which is expected. The service was great the waiter was very attentive. Sat outside in patio. The ambiance was great, I liked the wall painting and fresh plants bordering the patio.

Super good food and service. Didn't have to wait long for a seat. Close to the beach too so that's convenient

This location differs from the Venice, CA. one in terms of size, crowd, noise level - a bit smaller, not as busy (for a sunny, Sunday afternoon), lower music volume.

Ambiance: clearly five star. Food: OK…read more Portion/ Quality in relation to price: double-meh. Service: meh. You have to order and prepay from your phone. Every time. For every drink. Ice water: go inside and help yourself. Mandatory pre-selected tip: 25%. Service attitude: meh. Then, as you opted for the convenient method above, they charge you 99 cent extra. For every order. OK, if you care to hear more: I was born and raised in Germany. In Germany, staff gets paid by the hour, so it's typical to "round up": on a €44 check you would possibly give €47-48, €50 would be considered generous. STILL, when I get asked what would be the first you would import from the US, I suggested "the way you tip service". For decades, 15-18, max 20% was the rule, and you got excellent service for this. I preferred excellent service over saving money in a restaurant. Now, they led us to believe that service does not get paid and their tip is what they take home. Also, they want is to believe that 15% tip is almost an offense as everything got more expensive. A server at Zinqué Malibu earns a legally mandated minimum of $17.91 per hour before tips. Zinqué does not publicly disclose its exact hourly rate; its job postings describe compensation as "hourly + tips," based on experience. True: everything gets more expensive. Every year. So if prices adjust for a sandwich, so does the tip, it's whatever percent on top. So "everything is more expensive" is covered by the higher tip. Zinque offers substandard service, suggests an extra 25% as default for it, and then makes me pay extra for them reducing the service. I still believe that great service deserves recognition. Sadly, I also believe that whoever is behind this, has lost his mind. As much as I love the ambiance of this place, I will not go again. Possibly they would not even want me to come again. Fair enough. During my visit, max 20% of the tables were taken, rather less. Maybe there are more people like me. Again, to make sure we do not misunderstand each other: I have no objections to have an online menu. I prefer a "real" one, but then, digitalization will take over. Fine. I dot not support that I have to tip before I have even seen service, though. Tip must be earned. By service. The more you love the service, the more you should tip.

It's almost like a farm setting and sorta lit up like Christmas it's very beautiful with all the lights. We stopped to grab a coffee at the coffee shop there and it was honestly not that great, they were very sweet the girl working there I do remember that. But their coffee was not that great. The dinner we had was nice but it was outside and it was freezing. So we were all shivering and by the time our food came out everything was pretty cold. The entire hotel was not busy there wasn't that many people there. Kind of a shame since you think it would be since it is beautiful there. The rooms were interesting and across from each other, however I loved the little fire pit they had in the middle of the outside area going back and forth to the rooms. The kids had a blast though they had fun running back and forth and they do leave a lot of yummy snacks around which was really nice. The customer service was not bad not the best but not bad! Everyone was nice but things took extra long when it shouldn't when no one was really there. I hope next time we visit this hotel it will be busier. But it's a very unique kind of a hotel and very gorgeous. At least check it out once. Have a really beautiful day :) Be kind to everyone - Aloha

We finished with the peach sorbet, which was fine, nothing amazing, but hit the spot. The service was super, Johnny on the spot, attentive throughout. Definitely appreciated that. Place has a nice vibe. It's casual and pleasant. We sat on the patio, though the inside has more aura. Found free meter parking but you can valet. One thing worth mentioning is the automatic 20% fee added to the bill. The restaurant makes it clear that this is not a gratuity or tip, but rather a fee used to fund operations. Our total for two came to $179.09, with no alcohol but we did have two bottles of water. And with the new sales tax rate + this 20% fee it all just feels overpriced. Something to be aware of before dining. Otherwise, a good experience and definitely a place I'd return to.
