Stopped by for Sunday lunch for the first time, and I was impressed by the beautiful setup and welcoming ambiance. It does get pretty busy on weekends, so I definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. We ordered the moussaka, spanakopita, and chicken breast souvlaki--everything was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be coming back, maybe for dinner or even a special celebration!

Came here after a day at the Getty Museum. Since we were tired and hungry...instead of waiting 20 min for a table..we opted for the bar. Everyone was really nice and welcoming. Though the original bartender who served us wasn't all that attentive..took a long time to order and get things going...and getting our bill etc...the next bartender who came on was amazing... unfortunately we were leaving at this point... Food came promptly after placing our order. I got the chicken Shish kabob plate. The chicken was moist and the potato was really flavorful. The rice was also really good. We also had the olive /feta appetizer (really nice variety of olives w a light citrus oil), the hummus was creamy and good. The pita seemed like it was made in house-sooo fluffy and good. The house dip was a n out of the ordinary treat and ten sourdough bread was really fresh and delicious . (Comes if you get an entree)

My wife and had seen a reel on IG about this place and since we are only 30 min away we new we HAD TO COME CHECK THIS PLACE OUT. We are so happy that we did. You will find Taverna Tony in Malibu near PCH 1. Beautiful restaurant with seating available indoor and outdoor. We had made reservations so we were seated immediately at the bar since we weee there for their happy hour. (Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 4 to 6). The happy hour is actually a very good one with great deals. We orderd the chopped salad, meze plate, and the calamari along with a draft beer and a glass of wine for $80 bucks. That's a great deal in Malibu considering the portions of food too. We absulotely loved the house dip and bread that came complimentary. Honestly that was the best dip of the house in our opinion. The meze plate was ok, however the pita was incredible. Chopped salad was very good and the calamari was incredible. We really did enjoy our meal and we will definitely come back again. Overall if your in the area, make sure to check them out. You defenitly won't regret it. Till next time.

I first came here with my boyfriend about a year ago; and was so blown away that I had to drive another 2+ hours for another visit! First off, the interior / exterior of the entire restaurant is GORGEOUS. It actually feels like I'm in Greece or something lol. I recommend outdoor seating! The service is pretty friendly and quick, overall had pleasant experiences both times with the staff. The food is what steals the show- especially the free bread and garlic dip appetizer. I've seriously never had garlic dip that bomb in my life. The calamari & chopped salad was also so fresh and high quality. The entrees that we got, steak skewers and the lasagna, was honestly just okay (steak was a bit overcooked and dry) and a bit pricey but the other food made up for it 100%. Overall I love this unique restaurant!

I had been wanting to try Taverna Tony ever since I moved out to L.A. My husband and I were in Malibu recently, and I finally had the opportunity to dine here. I was so excited, and the whole experience did not disappoint. For starters, the restaurant is so beautiful! The Greek Mediterranean decor is stunning, and the outdoor patio is such a lovely place to enjoy a meal. Our server was very kind and helpful, and he suggested that we try some of the most popular dishes on the menu. We started with the Famous House Dip (an absolute MUST) and homemade bread (the most perfect bread ever), then we shared the Grilled Octopus, Pastichio (a Greek lasagna), and Spanakopita (feta and spinach baked in a light pastry). Everything was incredible!!! We didn't have room for dessert, but definitely want to try the baklava and tiramisu next time. We already have plans to dine here again this month, and I'm looking forward to tasting some other items on the menu. Tip: Be sure to make a reservation, as this place is very popular, even during the afternoon.

Had an amazing time at Taverna Tony a couple of weeks ago for my girlfriends graduation dinner. My girlfriend originally called in advance for the reservation weeks in advance and when we arrived we came later than the reservation. Shout out to the hostess for honoring a late window to us to arrive. When walking in I was blown away by the modern aesthetic and large tables for group dining. They also have a large outside patio. Starting off we ordered their Greek Salad, I think we got the Horiatiki and it was basically a greek salad but without the salad. The server said it's the Greek way to get it like this but it was just tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, peppers, olives and dressing. Wasn't a big fan of this. We also ordered the calamari which was amazing and perfectly crispy. Not oily like other spots. For my entree I got the Chicken breast skewers and it was pretty good, definitely wasn't worth the price for $33, it came with rice and potatoes but I subbed it for fries. I definitely think this place would be a 4 star if the prices were a bit better. I've had expensive Mediterranean food and I think it should be a little less for how the food was.

The BEST Greek cuisine hands down! From the moment I sat down, I knew I was in for a treat. They start you off with warm bread and the most delicious dip made from avocado - it's creamy, flavorful, and honestly addictive. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay and the Chilean sea bass, which came perfectly prepared with roasted potatoes and fresh vegetables. Every bite was flavorful, light, and satisfying. I came here for a solo lunch date and absolutely thoroughly enjoyed myself. The ambiance is sexy and chic with that classic Malibu breeze, and the service was fabulous - attentive, warm, and welcoming without being overbearing. Whether you're dining solo or with friends, this is a must-visit spot for an elevated and authentic Greek experience in Malibu. I'll definitely be back!

So we're big fans of Greek island vibes and Taverna didn't disappoint. First off their outdoor patio is a winner. It's such a fantastic spot to indulge in the Malibu breeze while enjoying your Grecian meal. The best part and I'm not kidding is their bread with garlic sauce. They're both complimentary which is amazing given how delectable each are. The bread is so chewy and the garlic sauce deserves to be a food group of its own. Don't skip on the grilled octopus. I repeat don't skip on the grilled octopus.

Disappointing. I've been hearing about this place for years and finally had a chance to try it. We were there for lunch on a Friday with a reservation, no issues with crowds or seating. Our waitperson was extremely inattentive to our table yet very attentive to others. We ordered the meatball appetizer which was so overcooked it was not enjoyable. spanakopita was fine. As others have mentioned, the food came out so quickly there's no way it was freshly cooked. I think the only reason people like this place is because of the free dip and bread.

Wonderful restaurant with great service and ambience. The food is also very fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the grilled octopus to start it's very tender and delicious. The fish main dish was great and the lobster pasta was also amazing. The beachy vibe is also beautiful. Will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu.

Going up to Malibu and trying this spot was the perfect way to close off my weekend! The environment is open and welcoming and the staff is very helpful and open to giving some good food options. This is a perfect place for sharing some delicious foods and drinks. The avgolemono was not only divine tasting, but warm and filling and I'm so glad I tried it out. Everything I tried was delicious and aside from that the prices are reasonable, which is hard to come by! Can't wait to go back!

Yes, a really nice full bar, friendly bartenders, you can order food as well from the bar,and see the band from the bar.

    25.00 per bottle

We checked into our harbor hotel and ordered takeout from The Greek Mediterranean Steak and Seafood, which turned out to be an excellent life decision. First challenge: surviving the parking lot. I don't know who designed that little maze, but I emerged victorious eventually. Once inside, though, the place had a great energy. A dance floor, a DJ spinning genuinely good tunes, and massive windows overlooking the harbor like the restaurant knew exactly what kind of mood we needed. Service was fantastic. Our order was ready on time, and they also made me a dangerously good Negroni to go. Honestly, if someone hands you a well-crafted Negroni after a desert road trip, that's practically an act of community care. Back at the hotel, we spread everything out on our balcony overlooking the harbor while the sun set, and suddenly life felt very cinematic. We ordered the Sampler for Two, which included lamb chops, falafel, loukaniko sausages, spanakopita, dolmades with avgolemono sauce, tzatziki, hummus, hot pita wedges, and a Greek salad. Basically, a feast disguised as takeout. Everything was delicious. The lamb chops were flavorful, the falafel crisp, the spanakopita flaky and rich, and the whole spread felt generous and thoughtfully prepared. Portions were large enough that we saved the hummus and tzatziki for the next day, where they heroically returned as cocktail snacks. A true encore performance. This meal didn't just feed us, it restored us a little. Good food, great atmosphere, harbor sunset, Negroni in hand. Sometimes a travel day ends exactly the way it should.

We're a family that loves cheese, so we went for all three cheese appetizer options. We got the Sizzling Feta, the Grilled Halloumi, and the Saganaki. We jokingly asked the server if it was a mistake to get so many appetizers, to which he firmly replied, "You like cheese. I can tell. You'll eat this, no problem." When I tell you we cleared those plates, I mean we absolutely demolished them. We loved all three! The Halloumi won as the overall favorite, but it was a fierce debate with strong support for each dish. Based on the Yelp reviews talking about how good the lamb is, I got the Lamb Souvlaki sandwich. It was delicious! The lamb was incredibly well-cooked, quite tender and very flavorful. The whole package of the pita, with the lamb balanced against the tzatziki and salad, was fantastic. If you're a meat-eater, I highly recommend it. If you're a vegetarian, my family also really enjoyed the Falafel sandwich and the Spanakopita. The Spanakopita was made like a turnover and its pastry was super buttery, perfectly light and flaky. The falafel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, nicely moist. It was a hit! The service was very quick and the staff was very friendly. While my family initially raised their eyebrows at the restaurant (it's sandwiched between a motel and a car wash), they were converted by the cheese and were devotees by the time we finished our entrees. We loved it!

The only minor issue I ran into was parking. At first, I thought the restaurant didn't have its own parking lot since it's connected to a small hotel. The restaurant itself is easy to spot from the outside and isn't confusing to find at all, but I wasn't sure where guests were supposed to park. I ended up parking farther away and walking over. Once inside, I noticed a sign mentioning restaurant parking and learned that customers can park in the hotel's lot. I mention this only to save future customers a little confusion--it wasn't a big deal at all, and I quickly moved my car closer. The restaurant itself is relatively small and connected to one of those cozy hotels you often see around the LAX area. It has the feel of a hidden local spot rather than a busy tourist destination, which honestly adds to its charm. I arrived around 5:30 PM and was surprised to find the restaurant nearly empty. There were only a couple of occupied tables, and only one more arrived while we were there. Honestly, I don't know what people are thinking because they're missing out on something special. I was dining with my 8-year-old nephew, one of those kids who survives almost exclusively on chicken nuggets, noodles, ranch, and other familiar foods. Getting him to try something new is usually a challenge. I ordered him a chicken gyro, and he absolutely loved it. I jokingly told him the tzatziki sauce was ranch, and from that point on he was completely sold. For myself, I ordered the moussaka. I chose it purely for the experience, not because I expected to love it. It turned out to be one of the most delicious restaurant dishes I've had in months. Seriously, months. The layers of eggplant, meat, and creamy béchamel came together perfectly. It was rich, comforting, and unforgettable. The funniest part? My nephew kept asking for more of my food. He was convinced the eggplant was chicken and ended up eating nearly half of my moussaka. If an extremely picky 8-year-old enjoys a dish like that, I think that says everything. We also ordered the lamb souvlaki, which was outstanding. Tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. This place is a true hidden gem. The food was exceptional, the service was friendly, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. Our bill came to about $86 before tip for three entrées and two Cokes, and honestly, it was some of the best money I've spent on food all month. Will I be back? Absolutely. In fact, I'm already planning to return within the next few weeks. If you've never tried Greek food before, this is a great place to start.

Ela is a strip mall, small Greek eatery that serves slow, fast food. Meaning some of the more complex foods are prepared ahead of time and rewarmed. Courteous service where you belly up to the counter, order, and pick up. There are a few tables, but mostly a take out joint. 1) Spanakopita; Only top layer of very thin, multi-layered philo dough is light, crispy. Rest of the layers stick together and is gummy. Filling seems to be slightly gamey Feta goat cheese that has a heavy Philadelphia cream cheese consistency & blanched spinach. I've had an excellent home made version that was airy and light with most of the multi-layered Philo being crispy. More spinach to lighten up the cheese blend. The extra touch was high quality butter brushed on the Spanakopita at the very end to add perfume. 2) Lamb Gyro: The roasted lamb was subtly gamey, extra hard and chewy as though it were over cooked. There was refreshing lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion. Opted for the Tzatziki (tsah tsee kee) which is a yogurt-cucumber sauce. All wrapped by a grilled, thick, soft, slightly sweetened Pita flat bread 3) Moussaka: It's similar to a Lasagna since it is multi-layered, but instead of flat pasta, slices of eggplant are used along with zucchini, potato. Hint of nutmeg. Béchamel sauce is the binding element. Unfortunately, most of the texture was gummy, and the flavours didn't have a satisfying Umami. 4) Baklava: There was a soapy, off taste that ruined this usually light, flaky, nut, honey, sugar syrup, Philo pastry based dessert. Eaten on February 24, 2026. 5) Zagori Sparkling Mineral Water: Well carbonated to add a refreshing acidity. First time having great Greek water. I had high hopes this may have had the same owner as long gone Inotheke in Santa Monica where the food was great. When I mentioned Inotheke to an amiable server, she had no idea of a connection.
