Had a great breakfast today with the family. Very modern sleek interior. Soon as you enter you're greeted to a huge bar. The wood maple features throughout, including wood booth seats really compliments space well. Very family friendly restaurant, there's cups of crayon provided for you to doodle on the paper place mats while you wait for your order. We enjoyed their signature banana bread with our coffee, so moist and scrumptious. We were also pleased with ricotta bruschetta with honey and sesame. The ricotta was creamy, lightly sweet and paired so well with the toasted bread. Breakfast pizza was good, but a bit oily for me. Soft scrambled eggs were amazing, so perfectly fluffy and creamy. Best scramble eggs I've had by far. I could eat this everyday. Buttermilk pancakes were outstanding. They give you healthy amount of pancakes, which was easily shareable. It was light and fluffy served with fresh berries. I thought bacon was okay, could have been executed better. Too burnt for my taste buds. Solid overall experience. Service was great and the food was priced reasonably. Eager to return soon, especially soft scrambled eggs.

I came here on a recommendation for a relatives birthday and left disappointed. I did a takeout order but this place is across the street from sagebrush but is pretty modern inside. Takeout was outside with a window down the alley. Service was... interesting. When I called to placed the order they seemed a little stressed (the place was busy so it makes sense). But she didn't seem to know there was a bucatini dish, I am not even sure she knew what bucatini aglio olio was since they said they didn't have it but it's a pretty basic dish that was on their menu online. Food was okay I guess. For the prices you are paying you get some really small portions for what you get. The food didn't hit the mark with average ingredients, felt like a kids pasta dish honestly. With so many Italian options in the area, you have to do better, especially at this price point. Overall, I don't think I will be back. Small portions, big prices, less than par ingredients.

Overall a 10/10 for the consistency across all their locations. This location being brand new really matched up to the quality, service, ambiance as every other Jon & Vinny's in the city. It's great a staple restaurant group expanded to the west side of the valley. Food wise, I can highly recommend their spicy fusilli pasta, chicken parmesan, garlic bread, and meatballs for the table. Everything came out fantastic. For dessert, I'd definitely do the bread pudding. Parking: You will have no other option, but to valet. This area does not have any metered or lots to self-park in.

So happy with my first time here at Jon & Vinny's in Calabasas! Haley was such a kind, attentive & awesome waitress. She was so friendly & charismatic & gave us all her recommendations. The food was incredible! The gem lettuce salad was awesome, the dressing was actually pretty spicy too! The pastas were cooked to perfection & super yummy. I'm not a big pizza lover but the pizza was insanely good, it was so crispy & I really enjoyed the thin crust! The ranch dressing was perfect to accompany the pizza, however it was $2.50 extra just keep that in mind. We shared a soft serve at the end of our meal & it was perfect to end off the night. I honestly would come back in a heart beat, it has a really cool vibe! They also give you crayons to color your placemats while you wait for your food which is a nice touch! So happy to have a Jon & Vinny's valley location now!

We had a 1 p.m. lunch reservation and were running late. At 1:20 p.m., the restaurant called to tell us that we were late and that our reservation would be given away if we did not arrive right away. It took a bit of time to find parking. There was no street parking available, so we paid $9 to park in the adjacent lot. The restaurant is located in downtown Calabasas, one of my favorite places to visit. It is an area with interesting 100-year-old buildings, as well as buildings designed to look 100 years old. There was a farmers market nearby, and parking was limited. The restaurant was packed. Many guests had ordered pizza, and pizza boxes were used as decorations on the bookshelves, it must be a popular menu item in this restaurant. Our experience with the staff was less welcoming. When we walked in, the greeter, who had crayons and drawing sheets on her desk, asked, "How can I help you?" I said we had a reservation. She quickly confirmed it but then spent the next few minutes rearranging her desk before seating us. We were a little jealous of her desk and hoped that next time she would pay as much attention to her guests. Our waitress came over and didn't introduce herself. When she realized the third person is not coming, she sounded annoyed. Only tables with kids had crayons; however, somehow we had crayons as well, which the waitress did not seem to notice. Later, when we ordered only a couple of items, she again seemed disappointed. I asked whether they made their own mozzarella, and she said they bought it from a place in Los Angeles without providing any additional details. The bathroom was in a separate building in the backyard of the restaurant. As I was walking toward it, a large group of staff members were engaged in a planning conversation right in the middle of the main hallway. They did not pay attention to me or attempt to direct me to the bathroom. The bathroom was clean and had soap with pieces of salt in it that smelled very nice. My wife also liked the soap, but the women's bathroom had no paper towels. As I walked back, the greeter looked at me as though she had never seen me before but said nothing. By the time our food was served, the restaurant had emptied quite a bit, and there did not seem to have been any reason to rush us over our late arrival. We ordered the baked asparagus with Parmesan, which was delicious, and the tuna conserva with lettuce, tomatoes, mozzarella, and avocado. I thought the tuna was slightly better than what you get from a can, but my wife felt it was regular canned tuna dressed with olive oil and lemon. Another waitress brought the tuna and was noticeably more professional. I asked her for two cappuccinos and the bill. She thanked us without any of the attitude we had experienced earlier. While waiting for our cappuccinos, we noticed that the adjacent bench had been soiled by two small children eating pizza while watching the kitchen staff work behind them. A staff member used an already soiled cloth to brush away the pizza crumbs but did not clean the visible oil stains. New guests were then seated directly on the stained bench. No one thanked us for coming when we got up to leave. I found myself remembering an unpretentiously delicious pizza at Domino's, where a meal costs one-tenth of the price and everyone is truly welcome.

This particular location is great - indoor and plenty of outdoor seating in the back. Clean and modern aesthetics. Customers service was great - shout out to Kenneth our server and the sommelier was also super nice. Food wise - we ordered a variety of dishes and if you've been to the other locations, it's about the same. Good thin crust pizza, meatballs, pasta bolognese, lettuce gem salad, and the chicken wings were all great. I had the infanta cocktail as well - but a bit watered down though. Valet parking only for $7.00 Nice addition to the neighborhood. Will go again.

We loved it so much we made another reservation while there! Make sure to get a reservation far in advance as they are all gone for weeks. Kenneth our waiter was great. He let us know that the food comes out as it's ready. It also comes out pretty fast so make sure you have all your drink options squared away. Some have said the pasta portions were small, they are on the small side but the spicy fusilli was packed with flavor. All the dishes were not scared of a little spice and the right amount of salt. Sometimes I find Italian places make dishes so bland, not here. The Bronx bomber pizza was outstanding. I like the burnt spots but was on the borderline of a little too much. Meatballs were solid, really enjoyed the sauce but a little pricey for just two meatballs. The music was great and you could actually hear it, at least inside. Looking forward to coming back in a few weeks to try some more dishes.

Fantastic date night experience - service was top notch from reservation check in all the way through paying the check! Parking was a breeze across the street for $8. Our reservation was 6 pm on a Friday and we were immediately seated inside. The somm came over shortly after to introduce himself and provide drink reccs. My husband had the espresso martini and loved it. I had the recommended wine La Ferme Rouge Le Gris, which was fantastic. For dinner we ordered cornmeal fried onions, gem lettuce salad, meatballs and bolognese. Each dish was incredible but the bolognese was out of this world! Our server Ashley was friendly and attentive and checked on us throughout the meal. The atmosphere was warm and fun and I loved the playful mats and crayons at each table! Can't wait to go back!

Meeting friends for lunch at noon on a Friday. Unfortunately, too warm out to eat on the patio. We were seated indoors in the back near the open kitchen. On the plus side, our server, Gustavo, was friendly and helpful. That's it for the positives. The negatives: Parking is non-existent. The only option is the valet ($7). The booth we were seated in (and all of the booths as far as I can tell) are bench seats that become fairly uncomfortable after a while. The noise level in our area of the restaurant made conversation a challenge. I shared a mushroom pizza ($23). A 12 inch thin crust pizza that was OK at best. Two of my friends got salads which were huge and they felt were excellent ($23). No free parking, unpleasant ambiance, and meh food at high prices for the area. There is little all eight of us agree on. With so many good restaurant options in the area, we all agreed that none of us are coming back.

First time going to Jon & Vinny's, my daughter raves about it all the time when going to the studio city location. Greeted immediately and we went during slower hours which I recommend. One has to consider peak times with difficulty getting reservations. Sat on porch which was nice, my daughter first time at this location which she loved. The back area is huge which is wonderful. Staff is super friendly and k formative, menu is simple and quick to the point. I ordered Blt breakfast sandwich and my daughter got the Nutella pancakes along with a vanilla matcha . Pricing is medium which is worth it, delicious and tasty. Andrea was our server and she was great, funny, and attentive. Only thing, They were out of ketchup, but no biggie the Blt was amazing without it. Parking on street and local shops around. Old town Calabasas area which is a plus and great stores all around. Be back real soon with the rest of the family, good luck on new spot and cheers!!!

Me and my partner absolutely love Jon & Vinny's! You can imagine our excitement when we found out they opened up a location in the valley. We usually go to the Brentwood or Fairfax locations. This location felt so inviting and spacious compared to the others. Our waitress was so attentive and made sure our food came out quickly & was super fresh. We ordered spicy fusilli (classic), radiatori pesto, garlic bread with parmesan, and our favorite pizza: little nats! Everything was so flavorful. Pro tip: if you order the little nats pizza, ask for a side of honey and drizzle it on top of the pizza. It compliments the flavors SO well. Can't wait to come here more in the future!

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Jon & Vinny's Calabasas We arrived around 10:30 a.m. and left at 11:45 utterly disappointed and frustrated. Despite many open tables, we were asked if we had a reservation and then waited about 15 minutes to be seated. We ordered a BLT and a Carbonara, and it took approximately 35 minutes for the food to arrive. Unfortunately, the BLT wasn't even warm, and my carbonara was extremely salty and cold. I politely sent it back. What surprised me most was being told that they had already received several comments about the pasta being too salty. I asked for anything they could replace it with quickly because, by then, I was simply hungry and tired of waiting. Another 15 minutes passed, and still no replacement meal. At that point, I got up and left while my partner stayed behind to pay and get the replacement pasta to go. When I finally opened the takeout box at home, I was even more disappointed. The portion was incredibly small for something priced around $23-$25, it didn't look appetizing, and there wasn't even any utensils included. I'm trying to be fair because this may be a new restaurant with a new team still working things out. But being new can explain a few growing pains--it shouldn't excuse slow service, cold food, overly salty food, long waits, and poor value for the price. If you're going to make customers wait this long, the expectation is that the food and service will make the wait worthwhile. Unfortunately, we received neither good service nor good food. For the price and the expectations surrounding this restaurant, this experience was supremely disappointing.

This restaurant doesn't have a gluten-free menu. We had the tuna conserva and baked asparagus with Parmesan. Neither item listed wheat ingredients, and neither appeared to contain wheat.

Our waiter was so preoccupied cleaning tables that weren't his, talking to the bartender every now and then, and hiding in the kitchen that we barely saw him our entire meal. We had to ask bussers and other waiters to hope to place an order, and we watched multiple leave the restaurant because they also were not being waited to. It was definitely not a matter of being busy either, the restaurant was almost empty and it was still almost impossible to receiver service. When I received a visibly dirty plate, I watched the waiter stare directly at the dirt left on the plate and continue to give it to me. This specific waiter also kept wagging a finger at us to tell us to wait when we needed something simple like wanting to order our entrees or open a wine bottle, and would then proceed to talk to the bartender at the bar or stare from behind a counter. The few times when our waiter would come to us he would give us soundbytes to respond to which we thought was friendly conversation, but he would never respond back to us which felt incredibly condescending. This waiter felt the need to tell us that he wasn't ignoring us at the end of the meal but it was very clear he was when we watched him stare at us from behind a counter doing absolutely nothing. Our food came out lukewarm and it definitely didn't seem like it was because of the kitchen. When we asked to exchange our food we explained why and he blatantly didn't listen and asked us right after "what's the reason for returning your food?" I would have been more understanding if our waiter was more open with us about maybe having a long day or something, but the waiter was completely cold and mechanical. The only redeeming part about our meal and the reason I'll give this place an extra star, was that the manager saw our very visible discontent and offered desserts to compensate us for our experience. Thank you to upper management for at least being able to assess a situation that our waiter was clearly too jaded to see. The service we received was also excellent, thanks especially to our server, Blake, who really made the experience more enjoyable. Star of the Night: Without a doubt, the focaccia was the best I've ever had. Perfectly fluffy, flavorful, and truly next-level. The pizza butter was a nice touch, though not as memorable as the bread itself. Appetizers: * Caesar Salad: I wasn't a fan of the presentation with the large anchovies on top. I don't mind anchovies in the dressing, but having them laid out on the salad wasn't appetizing. * Tempura Mushrooms: Great flavor, but they were overly fried, making them a bit too hard and masking the mushroom itself. The sauce that came with them was delicious, but there wasn't enough of it to balance out the crispiness. * Grilled Shrimp: Unfortunately, this one missed the mark. The plating was very plain compared to the other dishes, and the flavors just didn't come through. It felt like the dish could use a serious upgrade. * Hamachi Crudo: This was a highlight! The passion fruit purée paired beautifully with the fish, though the extra oil on the plate caused separation and made it hard for the sauce to stick. A small tweak here would make it perfect. Entrees: This is where the meal lost momentum. After the apps, it took about 30-45 minutes for the mains to arrive, which felt unnecessarily long since the full order had been placed upfront. By the time they arrived, the dishes themselves didn't really deliver. * Scallop Curry: Decent flavor, but the scallops could have used a much better sear to really shine. Something about the plate felt a little off-balance. * Pappardelle with Short Rib Ragu: The pasta noodles were well-made, but the short rib lacked depth of flavor and tenderness. It seemed undercooked for what should have been a slow-braised, melt-in-your-mouth kind of meat. Overall, the dish was bland and uninspired. Drinks & Dessert: I skipped the cocktails because none really stood out, but the glass of wine I ordered was excellent. We also passed on dessert after waiting so long for the entrees. Final Thoughts: The restaurant has a lot of potential, the ambiance is beautiful, the focaccia is unforgettable, and the service (thanks to Blake) was wonderful. But the rest of the menu felt inconsistent, with several dishes needing more attention to detail in both flavor and presentation. I'm glad I finally tried it, but for me, the focaccia and service were the true highlights of the night.
