Such great fresh food and menu in Malibu. We had great tasty burritos. Amazing ambiance and screens are up so you can watch some FIFA World Cup Soccer games while you eat! Nice service and the prices are so reasonable too.

Howdy's is a gem and Howdy is a legend. This is fast casual. Patio only seating. Counter service. Love the food! My fav is the $18 Mexican pizza. It's the size of a pizza and delish! Located in the Lumber Yard by the Whole Foods in Malibu. There are electric car chargers right in front so you can charge as you eat.

Atmosphere and the price is to have sit down restaurant. But it is a sushi Mexican American and cross fit restaurant with order to sit. It is not what it seems like. Fairly warned.

The world famous lobster burrito is famous for a reason, it's so fresh and the ponzu and chipotle mayo sauce takes it to the next level. They have lots of outdoor seating, and the line moves pretty quickly.

Wonderful little joint with a lobster sushi burrito and a tempura shrimp sushi burrito. Both delish. My friend preferred the lobster and I preferred the shrimp - guess you will have to try both like we did! Excellent staff.

I come here often for lunch and I'm always satisfied with my meal and the service I receive. The food comes out in about 15 minutes and it's always delicious. As a vegetarian, my favorite meals are the veggie burrito or the teriyaki bowl sub tofu. The staff is friendly and attentive. If you come often the rewards stack up quickly and this translates to money off or free deserts. If you like spicy, I would definitely ask for the salsa habanero! It is soo good, one of my favorites!

So screw the locals??? Good motto. My issue was more the girls rudeness but if as an owner you don't care about the public then it makes total sense why she was rude.

Some of the lines do not have shade, so get sun screen, shades and hats ready when you can. Once you pass that long wait time, it's all upside: Great food, extensive menu, daily specials, great ocean breeze and view, and nice vibes from your fellow diners! We ordered grilled red snapper plate with baked potato's and fries, and fish and shrimp tacos. The fish tacos are also made of red snappers (FYI). Reasonable prices given the big proportion you get! One tip for street parking: Read the sign carefully as we were parking just beyond where the sign stops, and of course we got to pay the $73 parking violation to the rich city of Malibu....

Beach day + Malibu Seafood has become a tradition for me…read more A quick heads-up before you go: be patient. Parking can be tight, the line usually wraps around the shack, and everyone is hungry. But don't let that scare you off--the food is absolutely worth the wait. I've been here three times now, and one thing has never changed: the 3-piece fried fish and fries is mandatory. The portions are huge, and I'm calling it now... the best fish and chips in Los Angeles. The fish is unbelievably crispy on the outside, perfectly flaky on the inside, and fried exactly the way it should be. I used to order the fried seafood combo, which comes with fish, shrimp, scallops, and calamari. Everything is good, but the fish and shrimp are the stars, so now I just order the fish and chips with fried shrimp à la carte. One item that deserves way more attention on Yelp is the ceviche. It's ridiculously fresh, loaded with flavor, and served with crispy fried tortilla chips. Honestly, I'd order it every visit. The clam chowder is good too, but the ceviche steals the spotlight. The lobster roll is another surprise. I love Broad Street Oyster Company's lobster roll, but it's over almost as soon as it starts. Malibu Seafood's version is much more generous while still being packed with fresh lobster. Don't sleep on the steamed mussels either. Order a pound for the table and make sure you save the bread for the broth. That broth alone is worth coming back for. I always finish it off with one of their fresh-squeezed lemonades--the perfect pairing after a day at the beach. Seating can take a little patience too, but that's part of the experience. Grab a table overlooking the ocean and PCH if you can. Fresh seafood, ocean breeze, and flip-flops still covered in sand... that's Malibu done right. No reservations. No fancy dress code. Just outstanding seafood in one of the best casual beachside spots around. I'll keep coming back.

Saw some videos on social media of their off the menu lobster caesar wrap-- and let me tell you in the video it had huge pieces of lobster but the wrap I received barely had any pieces of lobster and they were tiny pieces about half a penny each piece. It also dripped everywhere-- there was so much watery sauce it was making a pool in my container, all over my arms, and on the table. Not practical for eating and it was super disappointing seeing the large pieces of lobster they give to influencers and what they actually serve. Also it was super underwhelming in flavor. Would not get again. We also got oysters and those were way overpriced for mid tasting oysters. The ones at Whole Foods are better than this. I was expecting mind blowing and sweet oysters if they're going to charge nearly $50 a dozen. The uni was also extremely fishy and not creamy and succulent. It wasn't that expensive but it was mid. Lobster roll also had tiny portions of lobster that were rubbery. I expected it to be amazing for how much it costs-- again disappointed. The clam chowder might as well have been a roasted potato chowder. It was tan/brown colored and not creamy just grainy and full of potatoes. Didn't taste anything like clam chowder. The burger was decent just overpriced. Hard pass on this spot. All hype and not worth the $ to eat mid/disappointing food. Oh they also forgot our ice tea order and took forever to get someone to help us get it. Mehhhhhhh.

The restaurant has a warm, inviting ambiance that's perfect for a relaxed meal. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Our server was attentive, personable, and knowledgeable, while the friendly manager stopped by to make us feel genuinely welcome. The food was excellent across the board. The Maine Lobster Roll Sandwich, served on a warm, buttered brioche bun, was generously filled with sweet lobster and accompanied by delicious, perfectly cooked fries that everyone at our table enjoyed. The Lucky Chili, with red onion, sour cream, and cheddar cheese paired with a warm cornbread muffin, was rich, hearty, and full of flavor. The Lucky's Salad was another standout, featuring Roquefort cheese, shrimp, bacon, green beans, avocado, romaine, tomatoes, and roasted peppers, all complemented by a flavorful dressing. One unexpected highlight was the bread basket. We were delighted to learn that Lucky's bakes most of its own bread in-house, and every variety we sampled was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. From the exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere to the outstanding food, Lucky's delivered a memorable dining experience. It's the perfect stop whether you're heading to Los Angeles or returning along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway. The sedate…read moreand club like atmosphere of the original Lucky's was abandoned in favour of an absurdly loud, annoying and garish venue. Lucky's Malibu announces its impending failures via a badly designed imitation of the facade of the original restaurant grafted onto the cut and paste flat wall architecture of the far side of the Cross Creek Mall. Upon entry, the main dining room / bar demonstrated the ambient noise level of a 1940s German steel mill during an Allied bombing raid. There is zero intimacy, warmth or charm offered. in case you didn't know, very loud dining rooms are almost always a design / business choice. They promote stress, encourage the heavy drinkers who relish these types of environments (a choice that is good for the bottom line but not diners), and create rapid table turnover. Not a great combination for an alleged "fine dining" establishment. intimate conversation disappears after about 45dB and at 70dB people start to experience physical reactions (including higher cortisol levels, muscular tension and vigilance) that make customers want to get up from their table rather than linger over dinner. The food was "OK". My wife ordered lamb chops and I had a bone in New York. The prices were quite high, but not astronomical, assuming the meat had been better prepared. It was "OK". The appetizers were a disaster. Grilled peach and prosciutto yielded peaches that were not grilled, low quality grainy ricotta and mediocre prosciutto. Bland and over priced. The iceberg wedge salad was large but was bland and ungenerous, with the allegedly associated salad dressing and other assorted salad ingredients. Service? Adequate. Polite, but rushed. Our server was hurried and conducted "big smile" performative check- ins that felt as if they had no discernible purpose other than to move us through courses and turn tables. I always assume that this style of service is not the server's fault, but a management choice. I am also willing to admit that the server was likely unable to conduct anything close to a genuine interest in our dinner experience because of the noise. Lucky's in Montecito attracts a very different crowd. More professional and reserved. The night we were at the Malibu location, it seemed to attract a lot of obnoxious, rude and badly dressed people who were advertising their real or fantasized connection to "the industry" by wearing t shirts, shorts, hoodies or otherwise dressing like slobs. We were profoundly relieved to exit Lucky's. Not my idea of how to drop $400+

One thing to know: they have separate morning and dinner menus, and if you show up in between like we did, you'll be ordering from a more limited menu. Then came the burger and lobster roll, and both absolutely hit the spot. The lobster roll was loaded with big pieces of lobster, while the burger was simple, juicy, and paired perfectly with those thin crispy fries. Service deserves its own mention. Everything came out quickly, and what stood out most was how everyone seemed willing to help everyone. It didn't matter whose table it was--if a customer needed something, whoever was nearby stepped in. That kind of teamwork makes a restaurant feel very well run.
