Food and service were both excellent. Really enjoyed the experience and highly recommend.

Giving an updated review for TQLAS but this time highlighting the bar and staff. I've already been to this restaurant for meals and was happy with my experience in the past having sat out on the patio and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. My friend and I were looking for a good margarita after some bar hoping and I remembered this spot. Decided we should come by to see how is sitting at their bar. The bar inside the restaurant is very inviting and cool. Plenty of TVs to catch games and I liked the decor. The Freda artwork at the bar was a nice touch and the bar area itself was clean and well stocked. Appreciate being able to see all of the liquor bottles and ingredients kept nearby. Initially the bartender we had when we first got there (sorry forgot his name) was super sweet and attentive. I appreciated that he made some suggestions to us based on our preferences and was very nice. He made some good initial margaritas. Extra kudos to Brandon though, he's the bar manager who kind of took over from there. Brandon made what was already a good experience a phenomenal one. Brandon took initiative to ask my friend and I about what kind of drinks we like and then made some off the menu suggestions. He named off a few great sounding cocktails, one included a refreshing avocado type marg that we had to try. He was a stellar mixologist and the attentive and individualized experience made us definitely stick around longer. What sealed the deal was when my friend mentioned it was the both of our birthdays (two Capricorns walk into a bar...) and Brandon jumped on it! He made little celebratory bday shots not only for us but the few bar patrons next to us so we could all celebrate. It was lovely and unexpected. It also allowed us to get to know the other people at the bar and started some great conversations. I'm really happy to report that this bar is amazing and totally gives off a good and welcoming vibe. The service and friendliness we encountered when we came recently was unmatched to anywhere we had been earlier in the day and now I'm an even bigger fan of this place. Can't wait to come back and this will definitely be a spot for future margaritas And hangs.

Went here based on a TikTok I saw rating the best happy hours. They offer happy hour daily with $12 margs and $5 street tacos among other items. I got the jalapeño marg and the blackberry ginger. All made with fresh ingredients and muddled in-house. Both were delicious! I also got the carne asada taco and the picadillo taco. The chips and salsa were good! Seemed like the chips were homemade and the salsa was wonderful with a nice bit of heat. The bartender / waiter was super friendly and offered his favorites. Great atmosphere - Spanish style interior and nice outdoor patio.

Went with a group of girlfriends to celebrate my 50th birthday. Loved the chips and my California burrito. Kind of picky about my Mexican food since I'm from San Diego, but really enjoyed our dinner. Our waitress was fun with lots of personality. We didn't even have a reservation on a Saturday night, but they were able to accommodate us. I would go back.

Came midweek during happy hour time. The area is entering into slower times, so there weren't many people there. We took a seat at the bar, and were immediately given chips and salsa, which were quite good. I ordered their classic margarita that was on their happy hour menu. It did not taste very fresh - definitely more like a mix you could grab on a store shelf. I would choose something different in the future. We ordered the fish tacos as well as carne asada and carnitas (also on happy hour). Despite not being busy, they took awhile to come out. The meat on the tacos was not hot and seemed like it was cooked awhile ago and reheated. They could also stand to upgrade the tortillas. We were offered some spicy salsa, which was very good. Overall the bright spots were their homemade salsas and our bartender, Omar. He was very welcoming and friendly. The food just didn't hit the spot unfortunately. If we returned we would probably just come for drinks and snack on some chips. It's a cute spot, but was just ok.

This place was so lovely. The service was unmatched - truly the server had our names memorized before we even ordered drinks. I loved the vibe and the food was fantastic. Nice sized portions, super accommodating to modifications, and we were able to be seated immediately. The menu is incredible, I want to try so many things, can't wait to return.

Typical Mexican restaurant with traditional decorations. Waitress was super friendly and helpful with her recommendations. We ordered a pitcher of Classic Margaritas which were nice and strong and really good. They brought out some chips and salsa which were very crunchy and the salsa was just the right amount of spice. Our group of four each ordered a different dish. - carnitas tacos (without rice and beans) - carne asada tacos - chicken tinga tacos - Baja fish tacos We enjoyed all our meals and were nice and toasty by the end of the pitcher. Great service and ambiance! We sat on the patio and it was perfect.

Came out here for Restaurant Week, and they have a great selection. It's ideally situated in Old Town La Quinta. The food was great.

Boo... happy Halloween happy horror hour here.

It is a bit confusing... This place was terrible as noted in my past review and many others, Now NEW OWNERS, NEW CHEF, and NEW WEBSITE so gave it another shot. YELP SHORT ANSWER: Yes. our dining experience on this evening was a 2 then a 5 but all in all good enough, the food was spectacular. LOCATION: Excellent in LQ Old Town. BUILDOUT: Excellent, as it was. MENU: Very good not too many choices but all great selections for LQ crowd. FOOD PREP: Amazing, thankfully it appears a kitchen to be proud of. FOOD QUALITY: Was crazy good, all well above what I had experienced in the past, new owners, so mo better now. WAITSTAFF: Hello? unfriendly on this evening, we felt like we were at the DMV or CVS pharmacy. All staff were not too busy and kind of grumpy, unfriendly to each other as well as customers, not rude but just blunt. Before new owners opened, I happened to be there when new owners or management were giving a pep talk to new employees outside stressing, attitude, fun, great service, and all the other stuff that makes a place great even if the food sucks. Well, happy campers not so much, maybe they need a refresher course on why people spend money to eat there and locals to come back. It was just the waitstaff, our server was so nice she was a 10. The food made up for the odd vibe of waitstaff as it started off badly to where we were about to leave but ended with the best happy hour crunchy chicken tacos I have had in a long time as well as street tacos and guac. OVERALL VALUE: Yes very good. We tipped 20% hoping it makes its way back to the kitchen and server. We were impressed and will be back for a great Happy Hour. TIP: Confirm Happy Hour times, they don't really know. Sign at entry says 12-5pm yet it ends at 6pm... Best winter time is 3-5pm outdoor seating and if it lasts until 6pm then have a couple more tacos and $6 margaritas.

The service was good, but the food was not. We ordered pork belly tacos and the salmon. The tacos had very little filling in them, which was disappointing because they were not inexpensive. They were bland which is hard to do with pork belly. They were just super basic, and the filling was sparse. The salmon was a bit overcooked, and my husband didn't love the sauce that was on top, but that's just a preference. The atmosphere and location are so great. We really wanted to love this place but unfortunately we just didn't.

Baja fish tacos off the happy hour menu. So yummy!!

After a thorough search of Mexican spots to go in all of the Coachella valley we landed on TQLAS. Tbh...it didn't start well. Despite the nice south of the border ambience and color, almost empty restaurant we were sat down at a table, but they took too long to even see us or wait on us. No bueno. Not even water, in a 120degree crazy type day. So we moved straight to the bar to get direct service. We were hungry and wanted to take advantage of the happy hour they have. The chips and salsa, which we had to ask for, were pretty good. Made in house. We ordered the Baja fish tacos off the happy hour menu and 2 margaritas. Both were good. The fish was just out of the fryer and hot. It was awesome. The margaritas were too - little tart like I like them. We ended up ordering the fajitas and splitting them - carne asada, chicken, and shrimp and they too were magnificent. Succulent, juicy, and the dish def is both well. I think the flour tortillas were better. Overall it did start rocky with the service but food was very good. I recommend everything we got and I'd go back...on a cooler day, to enjoy the happy hour and the food next time I'm in the Coachella Valley. ;-)

Toria B.

Everything we had was good whether it was for the vegetarians or for the margarita lovers. They come out with homemade chips and salsa that are delicious. Tacos are phenomenal and filling. I would recommend the Cadillac Margarita if you are having a few beverages. The device is fast and friendly. They take reservations and have a mister in those exceptionally hot days.

I always believe in redemption! Here we go! Beginning to end -Clean table, dining area neat, -Server knew about everything on the menu and made great suggestions. I got the Birria Tacos and bottomless mimosa. -Chips and Salsa were great. The chips were thicker, which I'm not used to, but with the slight spice of the salsa, they complement each other very well. -Mimosa was delicious, I like them strong, and that it was. -Before getting the food, the staff was quick to clear tables and clean them thoroughly. -I'm no expert with Mexican food because I'm Hawaiian, but my wife and mother-in-law are Mexican and they make really good beans, red rice and Birria; however, TQLAS needs to show my wife and mother-in-law how to cook beans and rice. The Birria was everything and more! ATTENTION: If you like Birria tacos, come here! I did a bottomless mimosa every 4 minutes, they did a good job refilling for my pleasure without asking. Nice job TQLAS, redemption and more! Thank you! -JAMES was the waiter and gets a lot of credit to this experience, even busy at lunch he had great composure and served with a smile.

Mathew Sam and Lexi were awesome thank so much for making our evening special

Saw this place was opening up and it's in a great part of Old Town so tried it out. Turns out it was happy hour (even better). I was happy to note the margaritas were made well and what I really enjoyed was the food. Having spent many winters in Mexico City visiting family - these flavors brought back great memories - especially the cochinita pibil. The owner even showed us video of them making it - and no doubt, making it the old fashioned way showed. We had a minor hiccup with one of our plates, everything else was exceptional. The restaurant immediately corrected it. That to me is a good sign of a restaurant who I hope will be around for a long time. Can't wait to go back! read more

Walked up to the restaurant and was quickly greeted by the Nuranis. Location is cool inside and out, whether you're sitting in the patio, dinning room, or bar area the ambience is great. After being seated we were recommended a couple dishes that were introduced by the new owners. The guacamole and Al Pastor tacos were my favorite. Couple margaritas and a shot of mezcal as well. Everything was on point. Looking forward to more menu changes and recipe updates by the new owners. Overall I left pretty satisfied. We went to the Art Show in LaQuinta on Friday with out-of-town guests and made a lunch reservation for afterwards. We arrived on time with our party of 7 and once the hostess finally saw us at her stand she was surprised that we had a reservation--made on Open Table. It took about 10 minutes to put together a table which should have been waiting for us. (The place was about 25% occupied,) That was the first sign that trouble was ahead. We sat down and waited about 10 minutes for a waiter to drop by ( and were about to walk out) to ask for a drink order which then took 10 minutes to deliver. We decided we should order immediately so as to not wait too long for our food. They delivered chips, salsa and our drinks but we had to ask for "set ups" (napkins, knives and forks) as there were none. No one had set the table! Finally, we could order. They had a "normal" menu for a Mexican restaurant, and one item was tacos--1,2 or 3 from a list of about 5 choices. I ordered one beef and one fish taco but was told that "we can't do that. You have to order all the same." I have NEVER HEARD THAT and wanted to say, "you mean you WONT do that?"Not can't! " We solved this by me ordering two beef and one other friend ordering two fish tacos and we traded. I guess the chef is more important than the customers. Well the food was "just ok" and my wife and I were embarrassed that we recommended TQLAS after all of this. The waiter was fine and I almost told him he should quit and go to Casa Mendoza or Los Arcos where the management actually cares about food and service. End of the story--we are full time residents in LaQuinta and have just dropped one place from our "go to" List. Sad, but true! read more

I write this review because I really want to see this location succeed, but where they are currently makes me doubt it. We started with their homemade chips which frankly were the best thing we had for lunch. The hot sauce was very bland so I requested something with some heat, the waitress brought me a sauce that was so hot that nobody could possibly eat it (I rate myself an 8.5 on heat tolerance). So bland or inedible were our choices, I got some Cholula and called it a day. We ordered chicken fajitas and once again, bland! They need to look into adding achiote to this dish to give it some life. The beans on the dish, yep, bland, the rice was OK. This visit was very discouraging and I wish we had gone to Don Diego's instead! read more

Wow...I mostly write positive reviews.Rarely are they negative. I went to TQLAS tonight for a very early dinner 5:00pm. I was told that I would have to wait 35min. for a table??? I saw 75% or more of the tables open? I replied I'll go to the bar. I found a table at the bar open next to the open French doors perfect! I was told that the employees had to clear it because they were storing there items there. Ok...thanks! Then I ordered my margarita, chips and salsa.Apparently they were so busy earlier, you could not have chips and salsa without buying guacamole. So I decided it was time to cut my losses and drink my margarita with no dinner and go. I learned along time ago if there are...that many issues in a business it's probably not going to get better! The waiter tried to make it better by offering the managers support. He was not interested. I saw him speaking with him it was never mentioned again. Shame on this manager.... he obviously is not invested in the success of this restaurant ! I have no reason to return. read more

Overall, I have to give this restaurant an A+ for service (Oscar was fantastic) and a B+ for food. The experience overall was great. The host, manager and wait staff were all very courteous. Accommodated the needs of our table and tried to go above and beyond to make our dining experience great. They had your traditional Mexican offerings, as well as, some unique menu items such as Tikka Masala Enchildas. The enchiladas tasted authentic and unique. However, the flavor was mildly overwhelming for two enchiladas. The experience overall was positive. The Margaritas are great and flavourful, even the Skinny Margarita was good. The other food items that were ordered were tasty, though I wish the refried beans could have been made with vegetable oil as opposed to pork fat, for both health reasons as well as vegetarians being able to also eat refried beans. I would come here again solely based on our positive experience. I recommend this restaurant for a nice evening meal. read more

We tried this place again after learning that there are new owners. Definitely much better than before. Coincidentally, it was Happy Hour so we gave that a try. We both ordered fish tacos. On the plus side the pico de gallo was probably the best I've ever had and the tortillas were good. The size of the fish was a little small but not an issue for us since we're not big eaters. Overall, we liked them, just wish they had wrapped them in two tortillas each ( mine broke apart ). The chips were GREAT, again, probably the best I've ever had, I asked our server to take them away so that I couldn't eat anymore. The Happy Hour drinks were good too. The patio is really nice, it's shaded & the misters were operating , it was very pleasant out there on a 90+ degree day. We'll definitely be returning. BTW our service was great also. read more

My barber recommended this spot after the new owners took over and it's amazing. The Guacamole Tropicale is a must have. The mango, pomegranate, and candied walnuts elevate the dish in a way I never thought possible. By adding a bit of sweetness in with the savory and spice, it adds an entirely new dimension. Best guacamole I've ever had, bar none. And because of the sweet elements, it makes a nice sort of palette cleansing dessert after the main course. The main course was amazing. So many tacos to choose from and I can't wait to try more of them - the Tikka Massala taco is particularly unique. It's just such a delight to eat at a restaurant where you're experiencing completely new flavor combinations. read more

THE AMBIANCE: Amazing hidden gem in the desert! This…read morerestaurant is located inside La Quinta Resort & Club, and the experience feels special from the moment you walk through the historic, tall arched wooden doors. The entrance lead you down a hallway toward the hostess stand, with couches, a bar and a piano being played to the left. To the right , you enter the main dining room. The space felt open, elegant, and immediately welcoming. Talk about fine dining at its best. The hostess was able to quickly seat our party of six, and our server immediately brought over the menus and filled our water glasses. THE FOOD: We started with the oysters , and they did not disappoint. They were served with a shallot mignonette which was vinegary in all the right ways. They were so good, that we ended up ordering a second round. For dinner, we all ordered the steak with mushrooms and broccoli. The steak was perfectly cooked, and every bite was bursting with flavor. Even the mushrooms and broccoli stood out. Everything was seasoned beautifully without overpowering the actual flavors of the vegetables. Even the bread was so good. It was served with three different butters. And dessert? Also top notch. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner with friends. THE SERVICE: The service really added to the experience. Our server was attentive and took great care of us. The GM, Ray, also stopped by our table, and we ended up chatting and joking with him a bit. He was incredibly friendly and personable and made sure we were having a great experience. Between the setting, the food, the genuinely attentive service, this as one of those dinners where it all felt elevated. Definitely one of the many highlights of our stay at La Quinta Resort.

Morgan's in the Desert: Disappointment After Disappointment. $400 for Meh…read more After living in La Quinta for four years, we were ready to try Morgan's, as it's one of the last foodie restaurants in the Coachella valley that we haven't tried. We arrived early for our reservation, excited to grab a drink at the bar before dinner. Then we were told our table was already available... only to be seated at a dining table in the bar, off to the side, where apparently servers do not exist while staring at the back of the pianist and the barflies. The two bartenders were fantastic--especially Brian, who was working at warp speed--but they already had a packed bar to manage. Adding dining tables to their workload was clearly not realistic. Why were we seated there? Still a mystery. Reservation problems: I booked through the QR code advertised in The Gem for the August prix fixe dinners at La Quinta Resort's restaurants. When we arrived, we were told the prix fixe menu wasn't available that day. Sorry! So we ordered bread and oysters instead. About 15-20 minutes later, the manager came over and said they would honor the prix fixe after all. Great! Except... we'd already ordered appetizers. ‍ And wow, was it SLOW. We were seated at 5:30 and still didn't have our entrées at 7:00. Drinks regularly sat empty, and once the restaurant got busy around 6:30, water refills disappeared completely. Did I mention it was 110 degrees outside? The food? A mixed bag--but overall, wildly overpriced and underwhelming. * Oysters: Ice-cold and served with a good mignonette. Also pricey. * Bread: Fresh and warm, but the olive tapenade was aggressively salty. Again, overpriced. * Watermelon salad: The winner! Refreshing, flavorful, and the spicy nuts gave it a nice kick. Highly recommend. * Chicken cacciatore: Dry chicken, undercooked tomatoes, overcooked pasta. Never again. * Oscar filet: Delicious and well-prepared, but nothing memorable or special--especially for the price. Bottom line: We spent about $400 for a frustrating, painfully slow, mostly mediocre meal. There are too many great restaurants in the area to spend that kind of money on "meh." We won't be back.

My wife, son, and I visited Tommy Bahama's restaurant in La Quinta on Sunday after church, looking…read moreforward to enjoying a pleasant family lunch. Unfortunately, what should have been an enjoyable afternoon turned into one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we have had, not because of the food, but because of the extraordinarily poor customer service, lack of attention, and, most concerning, the dismissive attitude of the restaurant's management. Our experience began with something as simple as requesting a drink menu. Despite asking several times, no one provided us with one. We waited patiently, expecting that someone would eventually attend to our request. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Eventually, my wife became so frustrated that she physically got up from our table, walked over to an individual we later confirmed was the restaurant manager, Jasper Jarvis, and personally requested a drink menu. Only then did we finally receive one. It is astonishing that customers dining at a restaurant of this caliber must repeatedly request something as basic as a drink menu and ultimately leave their table to obtain one from management. Unfortunately, this was only the beginning. The most unacceptable part of our experience occurred when our meals were served. My son and I received our food, but my wife's meal was nowhere to be found. We waited, expecting her food to arrive shortly. It did not. My son and I eventually finished our entire meals, and my wife's food still had not arrived. Approximately ten minutes after we had finished eating, her meal was finally brought to the table. Think about that for a moment. Three family members go out to enjoy Sunday lunch together, yet two finish their meals before the third person even receives hers. My wife was left eating alone while my son and I sat watching her. The entire purpose of dining out as a family is to enjoy a meal together. That opportunity was completely ruined by the restaurant's inability to coordinate something as fundamental as serving three meals within a reasonable time of one another. What made this experience considerably worse was our interaction with the restaurant manager, Jasper Jarvis. When we brought these concerns to his attention, we expected some degree of professionalism, accountability, or at least a sincere acknowledgment that the service had fallen well below reasonable expectations. Instead, we encountered an attitude that left us feeling our concerns were an inconvenience. Mr. Jarvis attributed the delayed meal to the kitchen staff. Regarding our difficulty obtaining a drink menu, his response was essentially that he had provided one when my wife approached him. That response completely missed the point. A customer should not have to get up, search for a manager, and personally request something that the service staff should have provided in the first place. More troubling was the overall impression Mr. Jarvis gave us during the conversation. Rather than demonstrating genuine concern or taking responsibility for the dining experience, he appeared dismissive and spoke in a manner that made us feel we were wasting his time. As customers, we were not looking for special treatment, complimentary meals, or anything unreasonable. We simply expected competent service, basic courtesy, and a manager willing to acknowledge legitimate concerns. This was not an isolated experience for our family. My wife had previously visited this restaurant, and according to her, that experience was similarly disappointing. On both occasions, she observed what appeared to be employees and management congregating among themselves rather than remaining attentive to customers and their needs. It gives the impression of an establishment where customer service is not being adequately supervised or prioritized. I do, however, want to acknowledge one employee who deserves recognition. Throughout our visit, one individual continued coming by our table approximately every ten minutes to refill our water. I could see that he appeared aware something was wrong, and although he may not have been in a position to resolve the larger service problems, he made a noticeable effort to provide us with some level of attentive service. His efforts did not go unnoticed, and I appreciate them. Unfortunately, one conscientious employee cannot compensate for a broader failure in service and management. My greatest disappointment is with the management. Restaurants can experience delays. Kitchens can make mistakes. Orders can be overlooked. These things happen, and most reasonable customers understand that. What distinguishes a well-managed restaurant from a poorly managed one is how management responds when those mistakes occur. A professional manager acknowledges the problem, accepts responsibility for the customer's experience, and makes a genuine effort to resolve the situation. That is not what we experienced.

I recently visited TQLAS, excited to try the place under its new ownership, but unfortunately, I left disappointed. The ceviche, which I was eager to try, lacked flavor and didn't live up to expectations--it might have been the worst I've ever had. Similarly, the trio fajitas were a letdown with tough meat, dry chicken, and rubbery, unseasoned shrimp. On a brighter note, the margaritas and Palomas were average, not bad but nothing standout. I'm sharing this feedback not out of dissatisfaction alone, but in hopes that it can be constructive. I believe with some attention to the seasoning and preparation of the dishes, there's a great potential for improvement. A tweak in the kitchen could really turn things around and help TQLAS live up to the excitement of new management. I look forward to giving TQLAS another try in the future and seeing how it evolves. This review provides honest feedback while also offering encouragement for improvement. read more

Disappointing Service Experience We recently visited [Restaurant Name], and while the food was decent, the service completely overshadowed our experience. Our waiter was extremely rude and unprofessional, making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable throughout the meal. Simple questions about the menu were met with dismissive and impatient responses, and the overall attitude was completely unacceptable for a hospitality environment. We expected a far higher standard of service based on the restaurant's reputation. It's unfortunate because the ambiance and food had potential, but the service left a sour taste. We hope the management addresses this issue, as professional and courteous service is just as important as the food. read more

The atmosphere on the patio was warm and fun to start--and it was made infinitely better by our server Oscar. When I ordered a specialty cocktail that was off the menu, Oscar delivered! Banter and the best vibes ensued. Definitely a "must" spot for fab drinks and good fun in old town La Quinta! read more

First visit and things didn't go smoothly but the staff was friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make up for it. The food was yummy, except the macaroni and cheese coming out of the kitchen cold, and the cocktails were spot on. The staff warmed the macaroni and cheese then offered different sides to replace it and even comped our dessert. They more than made up for the small hiccups. read more

Tonight I was served by Nubia, I have never met a more incredibly wonderful person who would do anything for you. And the food at this restaurant is amazing, and the service is quick. The vibe here is amazing and that is only eternally made better by the top quality friendly professional staff. They deserve a medal, and as an Englishman I will personally talk to the king about arranging a visit. read more

We ordered their enchiladas because they were delicious last time. We got it to go and they were dry. I called Christina the manager and she was so understanding and helpful! Come to find out we said salsa on the side and they put sauce on the side .: Christina still insisted on taking care of us for the trouble. Such excellent food and customer service Thank you !!! read more

The food was very underwhelming and nothing was very impressive in taste. I got a shredded beef taco plate and felt like the beef and beans tasted a day old. The best part of the dish was the rice and fresh lettuce and cheese. Everyone did think their food was ok or good, no one was wowed or waiting to come back. The drinks however were great and made to perfection. There was a lot of waiting in between but that was expected since they were probably not prepared to open the other side of the restaurant. They did their best and we enjoyed our time there and had a good time besides the food not hitting. The restaurant had fun decor and vibes so they do have that going for them.

My daughter and I stood at the entrance for several minutes without being greeted. During that time, the manager was visibly overwhelmed and speaking harshly to the young hostesses, who appeared uncomfortable and trying to maintain composure. Despite this, no one acknowledged us until I offered a friendly "Happy Cinco de Mayo," at which point a hostess kindly stepped in to seat us. Unfortunately, the situation escalated. Twice, as we were being seated, the manager abruptly intervened -- placing reserved signs down and yelling at the hostess, myself and daughter we could not sit there. His tone was harsh, dismissive, and unnecessarily confrontational. This happened two times at two different tables that we were escorted to by the hostess and in front of my young daughter. Needless to say it was both uncomfortable and humiliating. I have never experienced a restaurant manager behave with this level of disrespect toward a guest, especially a woman with her child. I felt embarrassed and heartbroken that my daughter had to witness this. When I calmly approached him to understand the situation, he responded by stating they had "400 reservations," followed by dismissive and aggressive body language that made it clear we were not welcome. The interaction ended with us leaving and both tears. My daughter said "I'm scared mommy, why was that man so mean". A guest from the restaurant who was dinning and witnessed the incident came out just to see if we were ok. Equally concerning was how he treated his own staff, especially female staff setting a negative and unprofessional tone throughout the front of house. As someone from a fourth-generation family in the restaurant industry, I find this especially disheartening. I would be deeply concerned if any manager in our organization treated a guest or employees this way. I understand holidays are demanding, but being busy does not excuse a lack of basic respect and professionalism. I am sharing this in hopes that upper management addresses this directly. No woman / person and her child should have to experience this kind of treatment.

Canadians and mid westerners probably love the food. I'm surprised they didn't have ground turkey tacos on the menu. They did, however, have a sad excuse for fish tacos I called in an order while traveling. I asked for a carne asada burrito with rice and beans only. No pico, nothing else. I get home and somehow I was given a fajita burrito. Everything tasted sweet, most likely a restaurant supply menu. I think they used a salsa that was made in New York City. I would have preferred pace picante sauce at this point.
