Food has been great! All of our appetizers came out in a timely manner as well as the food. Oscar, our waiter, kept us entertained the entire time and was very attentive to our needs. He has great recommendations in case you are confused on what to order! The overall vibe of the restaurant is amazing, we will definitely come back! read more

Good food and the pineapple jalapeño margarita was good. Could have used a bit more tequila. Server was pleasant and the meal was reasonably priced. Going back next week. read more

Wow! What a great experience and service, food and drinks! Best jalapeño cucumber margarita I've ever had-told my husband next to me exactly that. Omar is the best bartender ever. So hospitable here as well as amazing carnitas. Great atmosphere and dining experience. Be sure to go here on your visit. read more

5 stars for food, quality and freshness and consistency every visit! 5 stars for service 5 stars for ambiance We always are taken care of here by the team + chef Juan! The restaurant is beautiful, the food is so tasty/flavorful, and quality. Very lean meats, everything is prepared very well. Chef has made the food taste just like home and always is putting in the hard work in the kitchen everytime we visit. He's always present and the food is always perfect. I haven't run into the issue of missing items or any quality issues. The meat is lean -- something SO important to me. No weird fatty pieces. The salsas are homemade and fresh. Love! Their tequila is also yum and love their margaritas. Give the restaurant grace when busy, as it's a small kitchen and extra large seating area. My favorite go tos - Cochinita pibil 10/10 - carne Asada -- chef uses an upgraded meat quality and it's next level! - carnitas - tacos - bowls - chile verde - nachos - beans - salsas - flautas - amaaaazing taco selection it's massive! - tikka masala options for a fun change up - California burrito (I don't like it cut so I ask to keep it whole) Thank you Chef Juan and Team! We always feel so welcomed here and your food never disappoints. read more

Oscar is no grouch - he's one of the best servers I've ever had! And this food simply rules. 10/10, can't wait to come back!

New owner and a new menu made our evening great! Our party of 4 enjoyed a blackberry ginger margarita which was very refreshing, tamarind chicken wings for an appetizer, tamarind shrimp taco, chicken burrito, street taco, chicken enchilada and even left room for churros and ice cream and a mud pie. They have a great happy hour menu. Our service was excellent. We ate in the dining room which became noisy by the time we left. The patio is perfect for people watching. We look forward to returning. read more

Just came in and checked out TQLAS. The food and service was amazing. Great thanks to Oscar (our server) for providing great hospitality to my partner and I. read more

Everything we ordered was wrong, then we would have to wait a long time to get the correct food or drink item. Service was slow and they were not busy. The staff was not friendly and seemed put out when they had to correct their mistakes. Ambiance was ok. For the price it is not worth going here. I have been here to eat at least 4 or 5 times, giving them just another chance. After yesterday I will not be back. What a waste of $$$ for my guests and myself. Huge disappointment. We will never dine or drink there again read more

We had great service from Nubia and great food! Thank you! The ambiance was very fun, even with the kiddos. read more

Absolutely WORST experience! We had a medical emergency and the manager was a disaster. She had no idea what the address was or any of the information for the restaurant. She was seriously terrible. One server jumped in and helped...he should be the one running the restaurant, not the clown of a manager they have there. She even made the excuse and said, "I manage four restaurants." As someone who has worked in the service industry, this is inexcusable and if she can't handle one restaurant, then she has no business managing four. Prior to our medical emergency, our server never came to check on us, the food was extremely slow, and it was bland. All in all, it was a bad experience. read more

Just a quick note to say we did not have multiple positive visits as suggested by the owner's comment. I wouldn't have left a negative review if it was a one-time thing. Everyone has a bad day. On each visit we had poor service. read more

I had my wedding rehearsal dinner on 9/27/24 and we arrived late, Zayde was so gracious as to still let us move forward our church rehearsal ran over as I had a large wedding party. The food and drinks were good, we did have a few misunderstandings with the bill but it was quickly resolved. I would recommend for large partys the tacos are very good and the drinks heavy! read more

The happy hour drinks were great !!!! The bartender went out of his way to make them how we like and was extremely attentive. Great bartender!!!! The food was alright. We had guacamole and chips. Guacamole was very good but chips could have used some salt. Salsa very good, also had chicken taquitos which were good. Ordered chicken wings and they were very bready, not like traditional chicken wings. We won't order the wings again and will ask that the chips be salted. read more

Sounds funny but I just had the street corn, I was hungry for good street corn, and I was not disappointed. Corn was on the cob with the right seasoning. We also had tacos and lots of salsa. All was good and the staff was very attentive and the food came out fast. read more

The bar is usually rockin late night on the weekend with all the regular Mexican food, and the margaritas are strong. But I found this jimica, pomegranate, and mango salad with salmon that's gluten free and low carb that I love! read more

This is our second time coming. Food is good, location is nice but service was overrode it. Our waitresses was very nice but overwhelmed and we seemed to be invisible to every other person on the waitstaff. Sat with empty waters, empty drinks so long that we had to go to the bar to order. Watched 2 other waitresses and all other staff look past and avoid us as for so long that we had to go to the bar to order drinks. We were'nt ignored the whole night though, we magically became visible to the same waitresses when it was time to pay! When you go to a restaurant it is for ambiance, food and service... ..... Needless to say, the service overshadowed both the food and ambiance. read more

Best tequila selection I've come across while in the desert. Plenty of chips and salsa and the patio vibe is unmatched.

First time here! Service was excellent. We met the owner she was so nice and told us about their other restaurants which we went to and loved!!! Food was amazing. We actually brought friends back with us 2 days later. Highly recommend going!! read more

Excellent food, service and ambiance! My favorite is the chili verde, but they have so many great dishes. Thanks Oscar!

Had a great dinner. Really good cucumber margarita. Fast and friendly service from Ruby. Will come back soon!

Great food, great atmosphere, perfectly crispy fish tacos, ice cold beer and fantastic service from Nubia. I'm coming back soon.

Server Ricky was wonderful. Taquitos were delicious. We'll definitely go back. Yeah they make your way look like. I guess the atmosphere outside was relaxing. I enjoyed the margaritas. Get the skinny. It's delicious! read more

We were seated and brought waters, one of which had things floating in it. We waited about 20 minutes before our server came. We ordered 2 appetizers and 3 entrees between3 of us and The appetizers came out in a reasonable time but our entrees took at least 30 minutes after that. The shrimp burrito was mediocre, my mom enjoyed her chicken fajitas and the shrimp Diablo plate wasn't great. read more

TQLAS - Mexican Near Me - La Quinta, California

We had dinner for 5 on a Saturday night and the service, food and general vibe was great. Our earlier plans changed so we needed to come an hour earlier that our reservation and when I called to let them know they accommodated with ease and had our table ready for us when we arrived. Chips and salsa were delicious. So was the guacamole. We had fajitas, Chicken Mole, the California Burrito and veggie tacos and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Two margs were had and they were delicious plus a alcohol free pineapple and jalapeño marg that hit the spot. We've been looking for a new Mexican place in the desert to make our go to and this is it! Shout out to the new owner who was friendly and open. read more

Awesome happy hour and great service! Can't beat the $5 margs - not too sweet at all and pretty strong! read more

TQLAS - Happy Hour Marg - Mexican Near Me - La Quinta, California

Went last night and ordered "happy hour" fish tacos and charged regular price. Ordered a side of pico de gallo and received a thimble sized cup for $1.50. The pico de gallo was excellent though. Most restaurants will give you a salsa bowl of pico to eat with chips at no charge. I would suggest the fish taco's be served on a traditional plate or provide a side plate for easier eating. The owner is very gracious and gave us a very nice table to enjoy ourselves. Unfortunately the above comments overshadowed what could have been a great evening. We have eaten here several times. read more

My first time here, it was a great experience! Our server, Oscar, was great! Would definitely come again!!

We've been here twice with our 1 year old son because of how clean, kind and tasty it is! The owner is very nice as are the other team members. Food is solid! I'm shocked by all the people saying it's bland, I'm Latinx as is my wife and we found it to be authentic and tasty! Sure prices are steeper than a local taqueria, but so is the atmosphere. If I want a $5 burrito I will go to a shitty burrito joint where they yell out my name. Our server Christopher was attentive and very personable. He managed his section well and stopped by to check in at appropriate times. Happy hour hack - get a huge boozy marg for $9 with the house marg $5 and a shot of tequila $4. We will definitely visit again and again! It's so nice to see some POC owning and thriving in this community. read more

great food, recommend the queso! The best aspect was the service with our waiter Oscar.

Service was terrible, it took almost an hour to get our dinner. Food was a 3 on a 1-10 scale (10 being best).

We had a great time here! Our server Alex was super awesome and helpful. The food is delicious and I'd definitely recommend the mix-and-match tacos. There were even heaters on the patio making a cold desert night disappear from our thoughts while we enjoyed the delicious TQLAS food. We'll definitely be back! read more
