I ordered for pick up and had to wait 30 minutes so I ran some errands until it was time. I arrived at the sight and the pick up line was decently long. Many people before me have been waiting longer than me which I thought was strange. It took around 20 minutes until I finally got my pick up order. Maybe they were just understaffed, but the drink itself was just a 3/5. I got a strawberry, mango, lychee with light ice and normal sugar. Super cute, new location next to Trader Joe's. I love the set up, because you get to watch them prepare your tea. When I came into the location, it was bright, clean, and open. There were 4 sample teas to taste on a Friday afternoon. I tried 2, but went for my regular flavors. I seriously love coming to TPUMPS! I think it's a pretty unique place that offers so many different flavors you can choose from! But my go to flavors are the rose and lavender and no other place that I been to have these combinations. I like coming there on a Tuesday since it's TPUMPS Tuesday which they give you a free upgrade size. I also like that they have a fridge by the cashier with premade drinks that cost $2.50, that's a good deal! I think it's different everyday. I've stopped by many times during the shelter in place order because their drinks are good, customizable, and the process is super efficient and safe. You stand in line and order through a door (4 drink limit per person) and pick up around the building at a different door. You do not have to go inside the building which is great. On the times I've gone, they've been pretty busy but the staff are still nice and friendly and the drinks are basically ready by the time we're done ordering. The combinations are endless and they're all good. One thing I would change is the ability to adjust sweetness by percentages because I believe they only do normal or less sweet. RAHHHH TPUMPS!!!!! I LOVE this store so much. It's my go-to boba place, for so many reasons. 1. It's pretty cheap! The regular size is $5, which is such a convenient number. The cup is also really big for that size, a T-Pump normal size is like a large at other boba stores. 2. TPUMPS Tuesday!!! On Tuesdays, they give the Pumpo size for the price of a regular. It's gigantic, after I drink that thing I'm not hungry for the rest of the day. 3. The service is really fast, even on Tuesdays when it's really busy. The line will be OUT THE DOOR, and you get your drink and leave within 15 minutes. At other boba stores, it takes that long when the place is empty. 4. So many flavors and personalization. You get to pick up to 3 flavors to combine from their list of like 30. There are so many possibilities and it's really fun (sometimes a little stressful) to make new combinations. 5. Why is there always a line? So popular! I come to Tpumps when I'm craving a more sweet, fruity drink. I usually get the Pumpbo size. On Tuesday (Tpumps Tuesday) you get the Pumpbo size for the normal price. So come on Tuesdays! Their honey boba is probably their best selling point here. It's really soft and chewy, and of my dozens of times here I've only encountered maybe one bad batch, and all the other times 11/10 in terms of the honey boba. Lately I've been sticking to a passion lychee mango mix. Sometimes I get rose as well. Pre-COVID they always had free samples for you to try. If you're stuck, they have the top 10 recommendations for you to go after as well. Choose what you want, but put some logic into it like maybe don't mix chocolate with watermelon, yafeel? I feel like adding milk changes the drink quite a bit. I add milk depending on my mood for what I want to drink that day. Without milk, it's like you're basically drinking juice. With milk, it's more of a "boba/milk tea" experience. I usually get "very" sweet and let me tell you it is veryyy sweet :) During COVID the service was a bit slow - I waited in a long line to order then waited in a different line to pick up my drink. TPumps is a solid boba joint that is pretty well received from the Bay Area. It's definitely not the best boba place in town considering it is in Cupertino (aka boba capital), but it gets the job done! They used to be way too "syrup-y" tasting, but it's a little more tea-tasting now. I do also think it depends on what you order though, it can truly be hit or miss. The current situation is that you order outside since they blocked the whole store interior with plexiglass. I do wish they had the menu plastered on a wall or something nearby since I felt pressured considering you can only see the menu as you're ordering in front of the cashier lmao...but maybe it's just my social anxiety LOL. If you don't know what to order, they also have popular drink combinations/recommendations posted next to the menu. I personally like the rose green milk tea here! I've tried different fruit combination drinks in the past, but it just didn't work out for me. I will say that normal sweetness is pretty sweet here considering all the different fruit syrups and flavors they put into the drink. The honey boba is decent, maybe a little too soft and chewy on my opinion. They also gave me a small portion of boba for the size of my drink. After you order, you walk around to the back of the store to pick up your drink. My drink came out fairly quickly (under five minutes) even though there were people before and after me. I've come here so many times. On Pumpbo Tuesdays, the Pumpbo size is 50 cents off. You should follow the directions on the menu to order. First, you pick hot or cold, and choose the size regular or Pumpbo. Then you pick the tea: black, green, oolong, non-caffeinated or +$1 for a specialty tea. I always get non-caffeinated. Then you pick the sweetness. You want to go with "light" sweetness, because anything more than that is too sweet IMHO. Then you pick your dairy. Anything other than creamer is +50 cents, like almond or soy milk. Then you pick the topping. The Honey boba is excellent! It has the right amount of QQ-chewiness. The Taro is okay. The Red bean is okay. But get the Honey boba. Lastly, you pick up to three fruity flavors from their cornucopia of choices. Just pick what you like. Any combination is good. Service is usually pretty fast here, and it's very nice too. Once, I got overconfident, putting a pumpbo drink in my backpack's sidepocket where you would put a water bottle. My drink slipped out and smashed on the floor. They remade my drink for me, amazingly, and mopped everything up right away. That is great hospitality. Since the very first time I tried their Rose milk tea, I've been hooked! Personally, I think they got the best Rose milk tea in Cupertino. Period. Fresh, premium tea with strong fragrance and so rich in flavor... and yet they're not overly sweet - just top notch! I also tried their Watermelon and Guava milk tea. And for less than $5, it was inexpensive and they gave an ample amount of pearls (which also tasted awesome, btw). I like how this location handled covid precautions by having you order at one door and pick up at another door so that it's always outside. The staff are always friendly and quick.
