I stopped by once because I didn't feel like sitting in traffic. This location is a little bit smaller with a couple tables and a few chairs for a window seat. It is very clean and organized. They didn't have any other patrons in there at the time that I came in. They had a couple mobile order pickups/takeaway orders though. The service was really quick: I didn't have a long wait for my boba. I ordered the Taro milk tea with puff cream and boba. It was pretty good. It wasn't the best, but it was pretty good. Portion is really good. The boba was a little bit underdone, but it's okay. I liked it regardless. Overall, I had a good experience.
They open late 10pm which is good for night snacking. I like their drinks than the popcorn chicken. The chicken seemed overly MSG, it doesn't have the basil leaves.
I like Happy Lemon's tea, and they have some of the best cheese cream in my opinion. However, we've repeatedly had poor service at this location in particular, so I'm not sure if we'll be coming back. (Fool me twice..) It's disappointing, because this plaza is a great location, but we'd rather visit any of the other numerous tea shops here that have better service. For some reason, the workers here won't announce when your order is ready, so you need to stay inside and pester them about it. They'll hide it behind the counter or in the back room too, so you won't be able to see it either. What the hell? I see from other reviews that we are not alone in this experience...
My usual go-to on super hot days. I either go with the Okinawa Roasted MT or the Fresh squeezed lemon black tea. Both are usually consistent...MT is deep and creamy...lemon tea is refreshing. Almost every time I go there during the day the same female worker is there, juggling multiple orders. She is always polite and courteous.
I love coming to this happy lemon because of its location. It's near a bunch of delicious restaurants and a 99 ranch to do some grocery shopping. The service was ok because it was pretty busy on a weekend. The boba was delicious. The strawberry green tea and the Okinawa roasted milk tea with egg pudding was very refreshing.
Came on a Saturday, first timer at this location so got a bit confused where the Happy Lemon actually was. It's in the inner part between all the buildings - a bit hidden away. I was the only customer in there and there was only 1 worker. I didn't get acknowledge until she came to take my order which was over 5 minutes. I ordered my usual, green tea with salted cheese - light on the ice and less sugar. The drink came out fairly quick. Flavor of drink was on point, pretty consistent with all other Happy Lemons. If you're a HL lover like me, make sure to get the reward card to accumulate points to get free drinks!
I've been going to this Happy Lemon for years. The location is right inside of Cupertino Village. It has Ranch 99, Sheng Kee Bakery, Ten Ren, a bunch of cafe/restaurants, and more! Their drinks don't disappoint. The wait can be a bit long (15 -20 minutes) when it's busy, but during other times I get my drinks within 15 minutes even when we order many at a time. I really like the milky and creamy taste from their cheese foam and their refreshing, thirst-quenching smoothies :)
happy lemon has popcorn chicken in some locations now! My friend had a free coupon and let me use it :) an order of popcorn chicken is 8.50 here. I got the paprika spicy at level regular. I wish they had a spicier option- the spiciest is "regular". There was only 1 girl running the shop so the order took pretty long like 20 minutes. The popcorn chicken was crispy on the outside and the inside was juicy. I was impressed but just wish it was spicier!
Note: This is Happy Lemon located in the Cupertino Village Ranch 99 Plaza!! Ordered a medium boba milk tea for myself and a medium mango lemon slushy for my sister. You can customize size of drink (medium or large), ice level, and sugar levels. Very happy and satisfied with my drink - note I have a BIG sweet tooth and so does my sister! We ordered regular sugar/how it is usually made (I'm assuming 100% sweetness?) Either way, if you do NOT have a sweet tooth, order it with LESS SUGAR because it IS sweet. (Sweet is how I like things). Came here around 3:45 pm on a Tuesday afternoon. No staff or customers in sight when I arrived, but I did hear a staff member washing dishes in the back. There is no bell I can ring to alert anyone I am there... about 30 seconds after my arrival, a line starts to form behind me. I and the customers behind me probably stand there for a total of 5-10 minutes... Eventually a staff member finally comes out and he immediately begins to take my order along with the 4 customers behind me. The poor guy was working alone! After taking everyone's order, he immediately made my drinks and gave it to me in a bag. So nice! 5/5 for the drinks 4/5 because I had to wait 5-10 minutes for the staff member to come out and take my order. I feel bad because he was working alone.... the poor guy! But I do have to say, he handled the afternoon boba rush well! I would have given this place 5/5 if someone was up at front/I didn't have to wait for someone to come out from the back, that's all. Highly recommend! I am happy with Happy Lemon and enjoyed my drink! :)
Order thru app at 2:29pm, only ordered 1 egg waffle. Arrived store at 2:46, checked with server, not ready yet. No other customer at all, servers talk with each other having fun.10 mins past, check with server again and still not ready. Sit right in the front table, 3:06pm I ask another server again and then suddenly the waffle is ready for a long time ago. If it need 40 mins to prepare a single egg waffle, better show it in the app before head.
After seeing so many Happy Lemon locations in the Bay Area, my husband and I decided to check one out on a Friday night after dinner. I ordered the mango lemon slushy, and he got the Okinawa milk tea. My drink was so sweet that I couldn't finish it. His beverage was very milky and the Okinawa flavor tasted watered down. We aren't overly picky when it comes to boba spots, but we were surprised how underwhelming the drinks were since they were on the "top 10" list. I will note that the location was clean and modern, and the staff followed proper COVID-19 guidelines. Will I come back? Maybe! It wouldn't be my first choice, but I'd be open to giving it another try and ordering their matcha.

I got the strawberry smoothie, which is quite good. Next time, I'll try the chocolate and salty something. Curious. Good service, I do wish they had a small or regular size to go with the only size they seem to carry, which is a large. Oh yeah, I *love* that you get to pick the sugar level, and ice level. I got 25% sugar and it was darn near perfect.
Our kumquat lemon green tea with 25% sugar was bitter, but this establishment had no problem upping the sugar to 50% even after we drank like 1/4 of it. They even topped off with more tea. How can you not give this place top rating? We also enjoyed their bubble waffles. It's not overly sweet which is perfect for my picky kids. There's a nice grassy area (fake grass) where your kids can burn off some of the dessert they just consumed. read more
Quality control needs improvement at this Happy Lemon location. I really dislike the opaque cups that some boba shops use, because you cannot see what the drink looks like and it opens you up to not noticing receiving the incorrect drink until you have left the shop. Happy Lemon was still using transparent cups last year, in 2024. Now I notice they are using opaque cups this year, in 2025. Why the change? Is it to better show the branding or advertising on the cup? On April 2, 2025 around 5pm, I ordered a "D13 Okinawa Roasted Milk Tea w/ Boba" ($7). This drink includes boba in it (see photo of menu). What I received was a drink in an opaque cup (see photo). I couldn't immediately notice that they forgot to add the boba to the cup before walking out of the shop. I only discovered the error after I returned home, poked the straw through the lid and took my first sip. This was incredibly disappointing and it was not worth making the trip back to the store to have them fix this. The shop is small with a little seating inside. No restrooms. There is parking at this shopping center, which is fine during off hours. Good luck with parking during peak hours. read more

I like Happy Lemon's tea, and they have some of the best cheese cream in my opinion. This cute place is located near a ton of Asian restaurants and 99 Ranch Market. There was a line when we came here after lunch, but the employees were quick with their service and making the drinks. There's a tv screen that shows how long you've been waiting and the other orders that are ahead of you. When your drink is done, the worker will announce your number, you bring up your number token, and the employee updates the status of your order to complete. The screen then repopulates to show the next order in line. We waited around 5 mins for our drinks. My SO ordered a large A4 Oolong tea with salted cheese and added boba with regular sugar and ice. The oolong tea and salted cheese pairing is fantastic. The bitterness of tea and the saltedness of the cheese is unique. The boba didn't quite add to the flavors in my opinion. I ordered the A7 Matcha with Tiramisu salted cheese with regular sugar and ice, no additional toppings. I love match for its bitter taste. The tiramisu salted cheese was sweet and made the drink into a tasty, chocolatey dessert. Unfortunately, I don't think this works as well for my tastebuds. While delicious, the matcha and salted cheese made my throat quite dry after consuming it. Notwithstanding my experience with the matcha and salted cheese drink, I will definitely come back here to try the other drinks! read more

Happy Lemon is my favorite milk tea chain ever! All their drinks are delicious! My favorites are the Black tea with salted cheese and the Mango matcha. Their salted cheese sounds strange but it's FANTASTIC. It's so creamy and elevates the taste of the tea. Their Mango matcha is like a smoothie and has pieces of real mango in it. It's perfect for a hot day. Their service is always friendly and quick. It's in a nice plaza and there is a pretty grass area right in front where you can hang out with friends. Parking is usually fine because it's in a huge plaza but it can get kind of crazy during busy hours. read more

I visited Happy Lemon tonight after eating dinner at another restaurant in the same plaza. I have to say, I love the location of this Happy Lemon! So many great Asian restaurants around. I was surprised that when I came here tonight, it was empty! After taking a look at the menu, I decided to order the Okinawa Milk Tea with boba. I typically prefer less sweet drinks, so I ordered it with 25% sweetness. It still ended up being a bit sweeter than I expected, but it was still good! The service was very quick since there was no line, and the shop was clean and vibrant with the beautiful decorations. I had a positive experience and would definitely return here to try other drinks! read more
My to go BBT place! I always get their boba milk tea w/ puff cream which to me seems like is layered condensed milk inside the cup and it makes it sweet and good! I also get their boba milk tea w/ salted cheese which is also a popular item on their menu and salted cheese composes sweet cream with rock salt. My overall recommendations: 1) boba milk tea with puff cream & 2) boba milk tea with salted cheese 25% ice and 100% sweetness read more
Love the happy lemon even during covid 19, great job keeps the precaution including making everyone wear mask and 6 ft distance when ordering or pick up. Love my favorite # 8 milk tea with sea salt cheese foam with no ice and 50% sugar. If you have not try this before, you will love their cup specially design to enjoy the cheese foam drink without a straw. read more
Solid location but with Ten Ren open, not my first option anymore. The restroom is almost always out of order (later in the day at least), so even if you wanted to sit down for a bit (seating is the one thing I wish Ten Ren had) you might still need to find an alternative restroom. Other than that, if you like the drinks they have it's good. I'm not a salted cheese tea fan but I like their tiramisu cheese drinks (like making your drink into a chocolate cheesecake!). Lemon slushies are good but for all their slushie options, you can't adjust the sweetness. Bummer. They also have new drinks now and again which is can be hit and miss (yes to grapefruit slushie, no to the matcha avocado slush). For me, this is a solid 3.5 stars. read more
Happy Lemon is one of my favorite places to get boba! I had never tried a salted cheese drink until I came here. At first I was unsure of whether or not I'd like it, but it ended up being so good! So much better than I thought. I most recently ordered the Milk Tea with Salted Cheese, of course with boba! It was delicious. I ordered it at 75% sweetness. I think next time I might go for a bit less, like 50%, but I still loved it!! Came at night and there was no one here, so the service was super quick. I always enjoy any drink I order at Happy Lemon and look forward to returning again soon! read more
Happy Lemon is far from my favorite boba spot (obvs by my rating). My brother is a huge Happy Lemon fan though so my Happy Lemon trips are usually due to him. Unpopular opinion: not into the salted cheese aka their claim to fame but also I'm not the biggest cheese or salty fan so it just wasn't meant to be :( In this exact store space, there has been countless boba stores that typically stay for about a year or so then dip. Originally years and years ago it was Q-Cup which was GOAT tbh. Then after then I don't remember, then probably a few other chains, then more recently Verde (also GOAT imo but this location didn't do well for them at all) which then turned into this Happy Lemon. I think it's been around since at least mid-2017 so if they can pass the terrible 2s which it looks like they will, then congrats Happy Lemon for beating the curse of this location! I typically order D1, D2, D5, or D7. I also get 25% sweetness and ice. Happy Lemon is great overall with their branding, service, and options. For me it just doesn't have that je ne sais quoi/inject this into my veins type of flavor for me. read more
Came by for a Boba Milk Tea the other day and it was surprisingly decent. I get scared trying new boba joints these days for 3 reasons: 1) tea-flavored water; 2) super sweet drinks; 3) Super size only. Ordered the Boba Milk Tea and was surprised that I was given a number and there was a screen showing how long I've waited along with the orders ahead of me. They do take credit cards and Android Pay here. Boba Milk Tea was decent. The tea flavor seemed to come from a powder. The 50% sweetness drink wasn't too sweet although it seemed that they were using some type of high frutoce corn syrup... Their smallest size was a medium... Their pearls were also surprisingly chewy! ...for some reason their drinks are almost identical to Gong Cha... $3.45 for a milk tea. No rewards program that I could find... read more
Tea: Passion fruit green tea with lychee jelly. (4/5). Can customize sugar and ice levels. Tastes consistent across other happy lemons. I wish they start carrying popping boba. Parking: Isn't exactly store front. You may miss the location because it's a few steps away from parking in the middle of a complex. You'll probably notice the large crowds and not miss it that way :) Service: Friendly as always. read more
The home of the rock salted cheese milk tea boba, Happy Lemon is easily recognizable with its lemon-shaped head logo! Starting in Shanghai in 2006 and making its debut in America in 2014 (NY), it's a treat to have locations in the Bay to enjoy the rock salted cheese deliciousness, a signature series for Happy Lemon. After a few visits, I've had at least a sip of over 10 of their drinks and they have all delivered on flavor, consistency and authenticity. If you are overwhelmed by the menu options and are not a big boba drinker, I'd go with the tried and true classics for this place - either the Green or Black tea salted cheese. If you are feeling more adventurous, you can try some of their many other variations such as the milk tea Oreo and tiramisu with salted cheese. As with most boba places, you can adjust the sweetness and ice levels (e.g. 75%, 25%, etc.). They recently added avocado matcha and strawberry green/black tea if you are looking for something new! Definitely a must try for the boba/milk tea connoisseurs and even for those who've never had it before! read more

ONE of my favorite happy lemon locations! I used to come here almost everyday when I worked across the street (Apple Park Campus) and it was always a hit, never a miss! I love that employees are constantly changing but the service never does. They have not failed me, and i'm very appreciative of that! I stopped by here yesterday with my in-laws, i noticed they have popcorn chicken but we just had dinner before having tea + waffle, so I wasn't able to try this :-((( and apparently it is only available at BOTH Cupertino locations ONLY! I recommend getting the mango juice with salted cheese if you're not feeling tea. My normal go-to is A1 or A2, all their drinks are so delicious! you have to try majority of their drinks, they will not disappoint. let's not forget their delicious, crispy on the out and fluffy in the inside *mouth drooling* bubble waffles! they offer different topping options, too! You definitely gotta try some of their snack/treats. read more
