T pump is seriously overrated. The tea drinks lack flavor... all you taste is sugar. Very artificial!!! I gave them three stars because they have excellent customer service. My daughter who was not being rude but just honest whispered mom my drink is yucky (cookie dough), I felt so bad because the cashier heard her on the way out and offer to make her another drink, which was really sweet. However, we passed and ended up throwing it away. The people there work really hard, fast and manage to have a smile on the whole time we were there. Overall, this place has a cool concept, but they need to improve on the quality. T4, teabrick, and gongcha... is a must try. read more

This place used to have Liche jelly, and they are no longer offering that, instead they said they never had it. It is so weird. One of the staff said he worked at the store for a long time, and the store only has Liche popings. But I always order my drink with Liche jelly at this location. I wonder whether they change ownership and suppliers. THis is not making senese. read more

This boba shop is my absolute favorite place in the world!!!! The actual boba quality is excellent and the staff are super sweet and friendly!! The atmosphere is great and the menu has a great variety of flavors, types of tea and boba, and choices of combinations. I come here almost every week and there is ALWAYS a line out of the door and half way down the sidewalk. I absolutely recommend coming to Tpumps!!! read more

What's the fuss all about? The consistently long line out the front door fills you with anticipation. This must be something special! In fact, Tpumps is a fad that every local teenager is enamored by. Like the fidget, I bet Tpumps will be an after-thought next year. This store in particular is disorganized, overly crowded, and dirty. Watch a Tpumper sneeze in her hand and go right back to handling the equipment - not so good! The fan in the bucket misting customers as they walk in the door congers up thoughts of the Dateline stories where they uncover the source of Legionnaire's Disease. Hmmmm. Made you think, huh? I must admit that I've purchased both a fidget and a Tpump. I give them 2 stars for finding themselves in the enviable position of being the local rage. Been coming here for almost 3 years and never disappoints! Probably the best milk tea I've had. Mostly long lines in the summer afternoon, but I say if its your first time its worth the wait. They usually have free samples of a couple of flavors while waiting too. Customer service is very good, very friendly staff. read more

A really nice addition to the list of boba shops in the SGV! I've been told Tpumps is really popular in San Francisco, and I can see why. The price is beyond reasonable, less than $3 for a large cup, and if that's not enough there's always the $4 32 ounce cup! The flavors aren't revolutionary, but they're not bad either. I like how they use very little ice - just enough to cool the drink, but not so much that I feel like I got tea with my ice instead of the other way around. The boba is indeed perfect. Just right. Super chewy but not tough or hard. Customer service was good too. They accept 5 star rewards card and credit card too! definitely worth a try. read more

This has honestly became one of my favorite boba places... First off, their milk tea doesn't murder my stomach since I'm lactose intolerant. Secondly, they offer basil seeds (or chia seeds or bran or whatever its called) instead of boba! This place is so yummy and so unique, I absolutely love it. I find myself craving it all the time as well.. my favorite drink is the strawberry mango peach milk tea with the basil seeds :) Not to mention the workers are soooooo friendly! It's also close to PCC and I go to school there so next semester i'll def be stopping by a lot more often during breaks :) read more

I love the customization that is involved in making your drinks with the different liquids, fillings, and sweetness levels you can choose from. I wouldn't say this place has any specialties like other places might, but that it is good overall and you will have a hard time going wrong unless your combination is a bad one. This is by far my FAVORITE boba place of all time. I love the idea of mixing up the falvors that you WANT. It's different in the sense there are multiple falvors at once in your drink AND it's the flavors you want. Ive never gotten a bad drink from there and the workers are very nice! Came down from Ventura area ... and I must say it's really good. It takes time to get know the flavors ( and yes there is a line ) but the workers are outside providing samples to customers which is awesome! I tried 3 while waiting and it really helped me decide what I liked. Now, they have different levels of sweetness: light, normal, extra sweet. I did light and honestly it was still way to sweet. This was my only con about the place. On a positive note - staff was super great and they let you know that they would gladly re-make any drink if you're not fully satisfied. I ordered the blackberry peach black tea with honey boba, the drink was really good but the boba was just ok. I had high hopes that they'd finally open a legit tea and boba ship in Pasadena. But just like home brewed this place makes non-authentic tea that tastes like water mixed with sugar/syrup. The only reason why I'm giving this 2 stars is because the tapioca boba balls actually tasted decent...but the fact that they gave both our drinks half the normal scoop you'd normally get in any authentic tea house in San Gabriel's (eg half & half, Au 79, and Ten Ren's) was majorly disappointing. Overall this place really needs to use actual tea leaves or some non-cheap version of tea because the actual drink was so watered down. Not coming back here... read more

The good: The customization of your drink. You could mix all the funky flavors. Teas are cheap and bobas nice and chewy. The bad: I'm not a fan of my teas mixed with artificial syrup. You could see all the syrups lined up behind the counter and it honestly does not appeal to me. Sure, for the price, it's exactly what should be expected. But it was unexpected for me. The ratio of tea to boba is poor. Extremely poor. You get a large cup of liquid, and a small scoop of boba that will be gone by the time you're halfway through your drink. The ugly: parking is the biggest inconvenience. I wouldn't mind the parking if this place offered better boba drinks. But this is not the case. The parking situation is not worth the boba here. Dang it, people need to stop raving about this place (ironic because I'm writing a 5-star review) because the lines are just getting too dang long. Workers are about as friendly as boba shop workers can get. I love the customizable flavors, although this becomes an issue when my uncontrollable indecisiveness kicks in once in a while. Wanted a smoothie because it was a hot day. Found TPumps on yelp. Walked here...so arrived super thirsty. In addition to the good reviews, there was a long line, so I had high expectations. Sampled the "watermelon honey marshmallow" drank & it was really good! A worker began taking orders in line. You can choose up to 3 flavors. I chose green tea (my go-to), honey & almond. No boba. Sweetness level? I chose light. Being a first-timer, I asked the worker if my combo sounded good. He said my combo was actually popular. Didn't wait too long until I got my drink &....... It was aiight. Super sweet--makes me wonder how sweet "mild" and "very" (or whatever) are. I didn't taste any green tea.. Which is my fav flavor out of the 3. I was more thirsty than I arrived that I didn't even want to walk back...I ordered a lyft. Lol. So sad I ordered a large. I never do! read more

Very trendy place. The line is usually long but staffs are nice and work fast. The syrup is quite strong but bearable. I stop by this shop occasionally when I am in Pasadena but it is not my favorite. I would prefer some stronger tea and less syrup. read more

TPumps is one of the most renowned boba places where I live in SoCal, but the exact reason is puzzling. The storefront is very small (an understatement) and there is often a long line trailing down the block. However, once inside, the experience is fairly similar to one you'd have at your Average boba joint. I think the draw in is the myriad of flavors and customizations you can make to your drink. However, the next time you get boba at your typical joint, see if you can customize the same way. I bet you can, it just isn't displayed on a big board like at TPumps. so my co-workers were talking about a new boba spot that opened up on south lake....after hearing all the amazing stuff i was hearing i had to go. staff is exceptional. they gave me samples of a bunch of different drinks and of course when i had the salted caramel hazelnut black milk tea..it was kind of like love at first taste? i got it lightly sweet with the honey boba. the dairy is lactose free which is awesome for someone as lactose intolerant as i am. i got the smaller of the two sizes for about 3 bucks (cheapest lunch ever) and i couldn't even finish. i know i'll be back several times a week. trouble just opened up down lake (in a good way of course) read more

Ok, I am a huge Boba fan. I have tasted many, many, many, many, many boba in my life (of course Boba from motherland Taiwan can't compare because it's the best). A friend bought a cup of Boba for me from Tpumps, and it did not live up to the hype..at all. My salted caramel hazelnut was OK. The amount of Boba I got in my cup was ridiculously little. Other places give double the amount!! I'm certain many others would agree with me on that. I was told by a little birdie the workers give regulars much more Boba. A business with great customer service means to give equal amount of products, not pick and choose. read more
