I wish that the tea flavor was stronger as I mainly tasted orange juice, and it was quite sweet. The cube pearls are interesting as they are a similar texture to boba but a white color. I wish they were cooked a bit better as the outside was a bit soggy. You can order on snackpass or at the kiosk in store, and you get notified when your order is ready. My favorite boba place in Berkeley finally have snacks! I tried their fried chicken wings and fries today. I got the sour cream and onion flavor for friends and it reminded me of the Lays chips but more sweet. Their fried chicken seasoning is quite good and has a nice crunch but their chicken is unusually soft (I think it's the batter under the crunch that feels soft and fatty). This TP Tea is located in a busy area, since it down the street from UC Berkeley. They are one of many boba spots nearby, but they are probably one of the most busy and popular ones. There is street parking or a parking garage nearby, but parking is hit or miss, so a lot of people always double park in front of the shop or around the corner as well. This location is a bit busier because of all the students, so the wait for drinks may take awhile - I usually order ahead online and it still takes a long time. I have been to their other Bay Area locations as well, and most of their locations are pretty consistent. There are also some seating here as well, but it gets pretty packed with all the customers and students standing around and waiting for their drinks, so it may be a bit claustrophobic. My go to drinks are their Cheese Cream Mango Tea with boba and Premium Green Tea Latte with boba. The Cheese Cream Mango Tea is probably my favorite drink, it is creamy, delicious, refreshing, and smooth as well. The Premium Green Tea Latte is also good when I am craving for something similar to a milk tea (I prefer their tea lattes over milk teas), instead of something fruity - I substitute the milk to oat milk, so it has a oatty/nutty taste, which goes well with this drink and I like their cream/milk to tea ratio as well, so one is not too overpowering than the other. read more

I may have judged TP Tea too harshly in my first review because my recent order here was amazing. The tea flavor in both the pearl milk tea and the passion fruit green tea was the strongest that I've ever tasted. If you like your fruit teas to be slightly bitter and to leave that numb taste in your mouth, then this is the place for you. In addition, the small pearls in the milk tea were the perfect size and firmness. I still think the prices here are crazy though -- be prepared to spend $7.50+ on each drink if you get toppings. Some of the fancier ones are even closer to $9. Also, since this place is right near UC Berkeley, there's always a lot of people ordering and the wait can get long. Make sure you order online! The location of the store is near a college campus so there is limited to no parking. It's best to be in and out when you are getting boba unless you plan to park further and roam around the area. I ordered on DoorDash and expect at least at 15 min wait... it's not uncommon if this location has long wait times. It does have a few tables for those who want to sit and chat but the tables are often taken by someone (mostly students). The tea flavor was present and luckily they had QQ noodles. Hands down my absolute favorite boba place. The quality of their ingredients is amazing and they offer a variety of seasonal and matcha drinks. If you know me, you know that I'm a self-proclaimed matcha aficionado. I ordered the Taro Matcha Latte for myself and I think it's safe to say that it's my favorite drink ever?! I can confirm that their Kyoto Uji Matcha is in fact authentic and so rich & creamy. They also used real taro which had a great texture and the perfect sweetness to compliment the matcha (which I got half-sweetened). Absolutely in love with this drink. I also tried the Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea which we ordered with boba and QQ noodles. It was my first time trying QQ noodles and I liked the chewy texture a lot. Also, when we were here we were able to get this topping for just 1 cent! What a steal. It is almost $8 for a milk tea + boba which I think is a little eyebrow raising. However, I will say that the location being close to campus and this strawberry milk tea option has made me come back.
