It's best to be in and out when you are getting boba unless you plan to park further and roam around the area. I ordered on DoorDash and expect at least at 15 min wait... it's not uncommon if this location has long wait times. It is almost $8 for a milk tea + boba which I think is a little eyebrow raising. However, I will say that the location being close to campus and this strawberry milk tea option has made me come back. Yikes... Don't order via Yelp app/Grubhub, even if the order shows as "confirmed and ready for pickup". We showed up, only to be told that they haven't processed Grubhub orders all day. Wat Apparently this was happening to them for a while, but nobody on the team decided to contact Yelp/Grubhub to disable their "order in-app" feature-- so people just kept showing up thinking their drinks were ready, when in reality some phantom glitch was auto-approving their orders. The staff didn't seem to care to handle it at all, even though they'd supposedly been dealing with this for several customers in a row. I let the cashier that the order showed as "ready for pickup" but she kept insisting that there's no way for the team to approve any Yelp/Grubhub orders on their end. What kind of glitch automatically moves your order from phase to phase tho :-/ What's worse is that they were sold out of most drinks and toppings by 7pm, even those listed online, so their solution was to tell us to call Grubhub corporate ourselves, which was a 30 min ordeal for the Grubhub customer service agent to call TP Tea again to confirm the purchase, who then let us know that the refund would take up to a week to process. Why's the onus of contacting corporate on the customer? Maybe fix your Yelp page instead? Very busy boba shop! They have kiosks inside the store where you can place your order yourself. Although it's busy they work pretty fast. Usually wait around 5-10 minutes for my drink(s) depending on how busy it is. I love this spot because their drinks and boba are consistently good. This is my favorite spot when I want a milk tea. The boba is made perfectly. The drinks aren't too sweet and you can really taste the tea in the drink. I would recommend the Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea if you like having a stronger tea taste in your milk tea. This location is right off of UC Berkeley's campus so streets will be crowded with students and parking is rare in Telegraph! Would park in side residential streets with 2hr parking and walk 5min to the place. Inside has nice interior design and very well clean/managed. I ordered one of their best sellers, the strawberry milk tea and it didn't leave a strong impression on me. I didn't think that there was anything unique about it and was surprised that the cost of the drink was so high ($6.25 without toppings). *Visited during COVID-19* Was in Oakland and wanted to get tea. There are so many options in the Bay Area and I elected to go for TP Tea over in Berkeley. Parking here is ...interesting (street parking) but I was dropped off and ordered through their kiosk in their store. They also have one of the delivery/pickup services that escapes me at this moment, but I guess Berkeley has many stores that use that app. It took about 10 minutes for me after placing my order to have my drink ready. The drink is placed on a table near the front and then you go get it once the worker heads away. I went for their tie guan yin latte with 30% sugar. I wanted to get it with boba but it wasn't an option at 6pm, so I guess they were out. Kinda bummed that it was an option but I did come late haha. Their tie guan yin latte is really good, has a really strong tea flavor and is so good. I kinda wish they would open up in Socal haha. Their Cupertino location always has a line, so I love having the option here to call in your order to save yourself the wait. Many boba places don't allow for that! The drink is quite creamy and 0% sugar means I get residual sweetness from the boba syrup which is enough. The boba pearls are a tiny bit on the small side compared to other boba shops but not the biggest deal in the world. Tie Guan Yin seems highly caffeinated though - my sleep schedule is incredibly shot every time I get this drink though so beware if you have caffeine sensitivity! They have self order kiosks.
