Decided to give this location a try and it was a lot bigger than I thought! Love the amount of seating they had so definitely a great place to study or catch up with friends. I got the double matcha which I wished had stronger flavor of matcha but the cream was super yummy! The pandan matcha was a bit watery. The mango matcha is pretty heavy, more of a dessert matcha imo. The purple rice is pretty thick but again the cream on top is super yummy. Parking is pretty hard to find but it is Berkeley:) Would recommend to try if you're looking for a new matcha spot!

Absolutely obsessed with the white peach matcha, I've never had that flavor in matcha and it was so good! I loved how thick the matcha was too, and I feel like they gave a nice layer of it. Would highly recommend.

Binge is one of our favorite coffee spots! We're happy to see that they've opened another location in Berkeley; one that's much bigger. This was our first time visiting their new location and it was very spacious! Even though the shop was much bigger, it was still full of people; almost all of the tables were taken when we walked in. We ordered for pick up and were able to find an open table. We took some flicks of our drinks and tried some food items we purchased; pandan waffles and popcorn chicken. The coffee we had tasted great, like always. The pandan waffle was nice and chewy and the popcorn chicken was crispy and flavorful.

Binge Coffee House opened 4 months ago where Feng Cha Teahouse once was. Interior renovated, place looks clean, brightly lit, full of happy laptopers drinking their libations. Many people ordered on a kiosk. I ordered at counter since I didn't have Credit Card with me. Briefly saw a menu somewhere. Sips: su da Viet coffee (5.95) small size, less sugar. -came in under 5 minutes. So surprised. Still tasted pretty sweet. Forgot to order less ice. Luckily ice was small crushed pieces. When it melted, didn't affect taste of coffee. Level of saltiness surprisingly ok. - still had a semi bold coffee taste. Offerings: Matcha, Viet coffee. Banh mi, pandan waffle. Yelp suggests Binge for patrons who like Mind Coffee. Advisory is so bogus. There's nothing similar between the 2. 4.5 stars Semi-worthy. Rounded up to 5 for great service. Quality: very good: no shortcuts observed. Quantity: reasonable. Similar to others. Lines may be long. Service with drinks is fast.

Matcha and coffee flight for the thanksgiving season ~~ Drinks: Black sesame coffee was surprisingly my superior choice revealing a nutty cookie like taste. The Vietnamese coffee was strong yet perfectly sweetened without too much milk. Now, I am pleased to be open minded toward black sesame anything haha. Banana Coffee I appreciated its real banana purée which authenticates the flavor paired with the cheese foam. However it did not surpass socal Phin Smith's banana latte in fountain valley the cardinal hub of Vietnamese coffee. We had our own matcha flight ranking: (1) Pistachio, (2) strawberry shortcake and (3) ube. Pistachio Matcha was well executed from the foam to matcha portion. Ube Matcha was good but I wished for more ube taste even tho it was bright purple. Strawberry Shortcake Matcha was eye pleasing with adorable teddy grams on top and thru the drink elevated the marrying twist between them. Noted that some drinks offer varying sweetness baseline min levels such as no sweetness or 25%, ceremonial grade matcha is used for drinks and itty bitty ice. Food: The popcorn chicken as a snack was great! Good quality pieces that were not overly oily nor salty. The spicy option entailed a spicy ketchup not a chili seasoning coat on the chicken. Service: we ordered on kiosk but an employee was attentive cleaning tables and garbage duty. We appreciated orders were regulated to ensure proper pick up. Overall: we will come again when visiting the sibling at UCB

Amazing Vietnamese coffee! I got an egg coffee and it came with a generous amount of egg cream. The coffee was thick, perfectly sweetened, and strong enough that I decided to let the ice melt a little before drinking more. Really appreciated that they filled the cup to the top and that there wasn't a ton of ice. Their vegan ham banh mi is also solid. It's nice that they even have vegan ham, since tofu often tends to be the sole vegetarian option for banh mi. I ordered on Snackpass and my order was ready before the stated time.

I was really surprised to see yet another Binge location open up in the East Bay! I usually get their coffee drinks, so this time I went for the Melon Matcha to see what the rest of their menu has to offer. If you've ever had a Melona, or a Korean melon bar, imagine that melted into a shake and then mixed with matcha! It's absolutely delicious and super refreshing. The bitterness of the matcha adds a nice twist to this nostalgic flavor. I am really glad that even though Binge is expanding and opening multiple locations, the quality of their drinks has stood strong. The ease of ordering, at all of their locations, but especially this one, is streamlined by having multiple ordering kiosks. I believe his location has 3-4 ordering kiosks and you can order at the counter as well. Since the space is so large, it's perfect for studying for a bit or even a good spot for "working from home"! We came during their soft opening & honestly, I can't wait to see how they continue to grow. I already love how this location has Berkeley themed cup designs!

$9.25 for an almond milk matcha es muy cara...BUT considering it's a pretty tidy space with plenty tables, free wifi, plenty of seating, and it's walking distance from UCB makes this place worth a try. The pumpkin Pie cream has a hint of pumpkin purée in it and topped with pumpkin spice. With fall drinks it's always a toss up of how much pumpkin they load up into your drink but it had just enough flavor not to overpower the matcha. The matcha itself was a nice color and went down pretty smoothly. I got 75% sweet which was barely sweet imo but it was good enough for me.

I've been seeing Binge Coffee on my Instagram feed for months, so I was delighted when they opened a cafe closer to campus right on Telegraph. The menu features a variety of matcha and coffee beverages, and the black sesame matcha was calling my name. When I visited the cafe, there were about five people in line ahead of me - which is why I was shocked when I was able to order and receive my drink in less than five minutes. After I picked up my drink, a barista checked in with me to make sure my drink was perfect (it was). The black sesame foam slowly seeped into the creamy matcha latte, and it was just the pick-me-up that I needed after class. I can't wait to come back and try the other flavors - I spotted matcha pandan on the menu, which is what I plan to try next time.

This new Binge location is much larger than the original, taking over the former Feng Cha space, yet it still manages to be packed every time I visit. If you're over cream tops, I highly recommend the coconut coffee--it perfectly blends the boldness of a traditional viet iced coffee with the nutty richness of coconut milk. The matchas tend to be popular, but personally, I'm not the biggest fan. Binge Coffee House is quickly establishing itself as a Berkeley staple. Love to see the hype for Asian flavors!

Great matcha! I love the salted foam at the top of the drink as well as the crunchy toppings they add on top for texture. The banana flavor was rich but not overpowering. The pistachio was nutty but not grainy. I loved it! The pricing is also fair and the cafe itself is a great spot to catch up with friends or study if you're a student! Drinks come out fast and there is usually no line! You can order on the Snackpass app for faster pickup!

    Melon Matcha

Binge Coffee House is definitely binge-worthy! Binge may just be the best matcha in Berkeley! The unique flavor pairings are all delicious - I especially love the melon and banana matchas. They are perfectly thick with a lovely thick matcha foam on top too. They are packed with matcha and not watered down like many of the other matcha spots in the area. Special shoutout for the pebble ice and photo-worthy drinks. The service is surprisingly quick. Binge is almost always packed to the brim with people picking up online orders yet they always finish orders before their estimated completion time. It can be a bit noisy near the entrance of the shop but is otherwise the perfect place for a coffee chat or a study sesh. I definitely recommend Binge for your matcha

This is the second Binge location in the Berkeley area and the quality and service is just as good as the Downtown location. Binge is by far my favorite matcha place in the East Bay (and I drink a lot of matcha...) My go-tos are the pandan matcha, then the ube matcha. The melon matcha is actually my favorite drink here but it's limited edition (please put it on ur regular menu i'm begging u) Order ahead on Snackpass for very quick service. Despite the size of this location it's hard to find seats sometimes because it's so popular. Staff are quick and helpful. I love Binge so so much and it's one of my top recommendations!!!

First off, the vibes are so zen, even if it's extremely busy! I came with my friend, both of us Japanese. It was a nice change of pace being in a cafe like this. It's common in Japan for cafes to be more western, so she was shocked that this cafe was more minimalistic, Asian-inspired, haha. There's bar seating plus indoor and outdoor tables. Most customers are Cal students studying or working, and seats can be limited. Communal seating is communal, and there's seating outside too. The service was great! We sat at the bar so we could watch what was happening. We loved how sweet one of the workers who helped us was. Kind service, and they put time and care into making each drink. Wait times can vary, but it's so worth it! I love any Japanese tea--matcha, hojicha, I'm all there! But I especially loved how they have genmaicha. I got the Genmaicha Latte with Oat Milk. It was perfect, subtle sweetness and roast, and a nice earthy matcha blend. I'd get it again. My friend enjoyed her Hojicha Latte, and they were kind enough to accommodate her request and give us Hojicha Tea as well! Everything was great quality and delicious. Forest Tea Bar is a wonderful cafe in Berkeley to get a matcha or other tea drink. Find them off Shattuck Ave. with street and metered parking around. Looking forward to coming back again and again!

You can taste the effort (and maybe the arm workout too). I think there are only about three staff members making drinks at a time, so if you come during peak hours... yeah, you will be waiting. Patience is part of the menu. If you're not about that waiting life, I highly recommend coming on a weekday before the rush. Trust me, your future self will thank you. Also--no bathrooms and no parking, so plan accordingly. Street parking is your only option, so may the odds be ever in your favor. It was an unexpectedly warm day, so I stopped in for an iced caffeinated beverage. I was indecisive when it was my turn to order, so the barista recommended the orange blossom matcha sparkler. This sounded intriguing and refreshing, so I decided to give it a try. My beverage was prepared about two minutes after I ordered it, and I was immediately refreshed after the first sip. The orange blossom flavoring was very subtle and provided just the right amount of sweetness and floral essence to counter the matcha's bitterness. The fizziness made this a perfect drink for a hot day. I've tried Mind Coffee's espresso on a prior visit, and I can now say they succeed in both the coffee and matcha categories.

The Sakura Matcha Mindspanner was definitely my favorite all around. The hint of sakura combined with the bold matcha was a very fun flavor experience. I think sadly, in the Earl Gray Matcha Einspanner, the matcha overpowered the earl gray. The flavor was there, but it was extremely subtle (don't get me wrong, I'd definitely get it again). Also, their espresso is unmatched. It really reminded me what a good espresso shot should taste like. The staff here were super friendly right off the bath. Even though there is an ordering kiosk available, they still went out of their way to greet us and let us know that they are there to also take orders and answer questions. I was also a bit bummed that they were sold out of their Orange Blossom Latte. I feel like it would taste like an orange creamsicle. They were very reassuring that it's a regular menu item and that I can hopefully get my hands on one before it sells out for the day next time! I can't wait to see what they come out with next!
